I have been frequenting Geno's for several years and they have always been excellent. The service has been great and I ALWAYS enjoy the conversation. Brief and to the point! I originally went in for buttons to be sewn back on a leather jacket and they had it done rapidly and at a reasonable price. One of the buttons came loose though after 2 weeks and they took care of me immediately. Great service! I've purchased several shirts and a leather jacket from them as well and got great deals from them and was able to get the same product that some of the other Big Box retailers were offering but the price and service has been best at Geno's! Genos has some excellent quality men's clothing. It is on the higher end but know you are getting high quality clothing that will last you a very long time. I have gotten a couple of items tailored here as well and it always comes looking out great and fitting me perfectly. I would give this place a 0/5 if I could. The staff is incredibly rude and assuming. I will never shop there again, I felt extremely degraded. So I am short and needed some pants hemmed. Since this place claims to repair shoes as well, I brought in some strappy sandals that had a strap come undone. The pants were hemmed appropriately however, they didn't remove the temporary stitches I had put in when they did their work. Not a huge deal, just seemed a little sloppy. The sandals were another story - $20 later and after the first wearing, the strap popped out again. Very disappointing as I loved these shoes. I didn't, however, take them back because of the attitude of the, I assume, owner. Fast forward to last night. Same pants that were hemmed are wearing out - I wear them for my part time job so I have been resisting buying new ones. They are getting worn on the inner thigh cause I am a chubby girl and my thighs rub. I have been making do with iron on patches but decided to get them repaired. I had this done with some pants in Raleigh for about $10 and figured that is what I was looking at. The owner (again I am assuming as he has been there every time I have gone in) was not friendly and looked at my pants like one would look at a cockroach crawling across his shoe. He said the pants would need to be basically reconstructed and it would cost $45 and it would take a long time. I call BS on that. I will spend my $5 and continue my do it yourself fix. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The condescension emitted from this man is insulting and I don't need that kind of attitude from anyone, let alone someone in a service industry. okaybye. read more

My husband and I had a reception out of town and decided to try Geno's for shoes, failing to find his size elsewhere. We didn't realize he was open on Sunday and gave it a shot. We were so impressed with the inventory, the brands, and his customer focused style that is a lost art. Ended up walking out of there with many more items than planned mainly due to the quality and the inventory available. Such a gem and glad we stopped in. Will definitely be in more often. Ok so this is not a discount store for the budget-conscience buyer. You should realize that before you even walk in. Their sweet spot is in catering to discerning gentlemen of means and they do that exceptionally well. That said, the prices are no higher than the prices of identical/similar items anywhere else. They sell luxury and high-end products. Nobody walks into a BMW dealership and tries to compare the pricing there to a Kia dealership--think about how silly that would be. The difference between buying something from Geno's and buying it online or elsewhere is their expertise and level of service. I don't have an "average" body type and have been told by them on more than one visit, in a nice and polite way "no you shouldn't wear that, try this instead." So don't believe the other reviewer that they'll tell you everything looks good. I have no clue what looks good or how something should fit or be worn properly so I rely on them and it pays off every time I'm told by others that a particular outfit or shirt or whatever looks really good on me. If you're like me and don't have a clue what you should or shouldn't wear, stop by and see them. You won't be disappointed. read more

I had a bad experience with Geno's. When they were at their former location, I had them do some tailoring for me. I was in a hurry when I picked it up and didn't inspect it properly - and later found out it had been done very poorly. And it was expensive to boot!! When I later brought it to their attention, the man whom I assume must be the owner did absolutely nothing. And was extremely rude and condescending. This place cares nothing about customer satisfaction. Even though they no longer do tailoring (and I know why!!), I would never go to them again. Spend your money at establishments where the customer always comes first!!!! read more

Way too pushy! They will tell you look great in anything. The prices for returns are never correct. They invent prices at the register. The inventory they have is way too, should I say..flamboyant . My boyfriend has been hit on there, several times. The prices for same product is lower anywhere else. They won't pay attention to you unless you are a big spender. One customer smelled like drugs, he was hitting n my boyfriend and bought nothing. I don't know if he were gay or a drug dealer or not....and no I am not a home a phobe. I have purchased suits, dress shirts and had slacks and jeans hemmed. I assume the owner (a balding russian or jewish guy) is always working but not to friendly. I bought a couple suits from him and a dress shirt one month and the hem on the slacks were absolutely horrific. A poor fishline hem and I wont buy another suit from him. Geno's have some good sales but it's difficult to go in there and buy anything because he's arrogant. One day I came in to buy a tie and dress shirt and was having a conversation with him and he abruptly says: "Are you going to buy anything?" REALLY??? I immediately walked out.
