June 3rd: Our experience at David's Bridal at the Kennesaw location in Georgia, did not go as expected. My daughter, Emma, who bought a dress three years ago for a different ceremony, brought in the dress to try on and embellish so that she could wear it. Once she put the gown on, she burst into tears, saying "this is not my dress anymore". I then told her that we were standing in David's Bridal shop and that she should go and find her dress for this ceremony to a wonderful man. So we went onto the floor and had some help from a floor attendant who chose some dresses for Emma to try on. The first thing that I was very disappointed in was our dress attendant who was on her phone all the time while after Emma had stepped out of her dressing room to show the dress. Every photo that I wanted to take of Emma in a dress, there she was in the background on her phone, completely ignoring my daughter. To say that I was unimpressed is putting it mildly. If we ever go back to this particular David's Bridal shop, I will not ask for or work with this individual again. Once Emma found her gown, she loved it so much that she literally walked from the floor into alterations (we had back-to-back appointments so we had plenty of time) and this amazing woman in alterations (5 for her), sat on the floor and shortened the front of the gown so that Emma could walk down the aisle without tripping... Leaving the back of the gown with it's full length and quite beautiful. My dress for Emma's ceremony was also altered and we were given a date for Pick-Up on both gowns. July 11th: Emma and I arrived for final fittings and to pick up the gowns. Emma try on her gown, and the length was absolutely perfect. So we had the alterations team pack up the gown to travel. BTW... David's Bridal shop DOES NOT offer free gown bags for their wedding dresses. I tried on my dress, and without any help from anybody within their alterations(1 for today's team), but thanks to my my daughter, we looked over the dress and deemed it worthy to wear at her ceremony. We then had the alterations department pack up my dress so that we could bring it home. Now, maybe I have watched way too many "say yes to the dress" to think that every bridal shop would make sure that the dress was ready to walk down the aisle. So for me to make the assumption that Emma's wedding gown was ready for her to walk down the aisle in, I had not looked at it until today. When I opened the bag and hung up the dress, I noticed that the bodice was heavily jeweled on the left side, but barely had any jewels on the right side. There was also frayed tool around the lace appliqué that was not cleaned up, and there were threads that were hanging out pretty much all over the dress. Now, making sure that those threads were not going to hinder any of the stitching of the dress bodice, I proceeded to clean up the threads sticking out of the gown. I also cleaned up any of the tool that was stitched around the lace appliqué, again, making sure that it wasn't going to destroy any part of the lace, so that it didn't look "messy". It's a wonderful thing that I have, in my latter years, begun to make jewelry and rosaries. This craft allotted me a great deal of beads, jewels, gems, and pearls. I then proceeded to add identical beading to the right side of the bodice so that it would at least balance out with the left side of the bodice. (before and after photos attached) So I guess the moral of my story is this... Do not think that because you saw it on the TV, that your bridal shop will do their very best to make sure that the dress that you purchased is 100% ready to walk down the aisle. Make sure you go over the entire dress while you are still in the shop if possible... that is one mistake that I absolutely made. The positive side... I was able to add my own very special touch to my daughters wedding gown. The moment that she puts it on will be absolutely PRICELESS!! read more

I took a pair of blue jeans in to be altered and they were very kind as they were pinning the legs and waistband, assuring me there was nothing better than a great fitting pair of jeans. I went to the counter an they said: $150.00 - OK, for 1 pair??? yes ma'am but you will love them because they will fit you perfectly. I paid the $150.00 and they made me a pickup date for 30 day later - being the 9th of March. Today, I was so excited to pickup my "best fitting jeans ever" and when I put them on, they were as bad as when I left them there! I told the associate that these didn't even look like they had been altered at all! The seamstress came in and told me that the fabric is stretchy and she couldn't take them up anymore because of that --- well, that's a bunch of garbage because I also can sew, I just didn't want to do it myself and the fact that the fabric is stretchy had nothing to do with they didn't cut enough off and the jeans were still an inch too large on both legs; and why did it cost $150.00 to run 2 seams??? I told them it was a terrible job and I would NEVER be back there for any reason! I do not recommend them because they did not do what they said they were going to do ; and the amount they charged was out of this world as well as their time frame to get them back. The fact that they lied about their mistake of how much to remove to begin with. While the staff is lovely, the experience was a logistical nightmare of broken promises, a lost veil, and unfortunate alterations. I'm giving Davids Bridal Kennesaw 1 star (which makes me so sad because the staff themselves were so nice), but honestly, the actual process of getting my dress was a total headache from start to finish. I love my Galina Signature gown, but it was a struggle every step of the way. The sleeve situation: I was told at my first appointment and saw on the website that adding sleeves was easy. They even pinned mock-up sleeves on me. But when I showed up for alterations, I was told they do not stock sleeves or fabric. They said if I wanted the exact sleeves they pinned on me during my initial try on, I would have to purchase the entire other wedding dress they went with just to take the sleeves off of it. To add insult to injury, the day after I had to compromise on my sleeves, I received an ad from David's Bridal saying how easy it is to add statement sleeves to a strapless gown. I was not told I would need to source my own fabric for sleeves until the day I was handing my dress over for a month for alterations, so I could not even color-match anything. I had to use satin from my hem that I really wanted to save for other keepsakes just to make it work. Since these are David's Bridal original designs, the store should at least stock fabric for their signature lines. No one else is going to have the exact fabric to match an exclusive brand, and it is unreasonable to expect a bride to find it herself while the dress is already in the shop for fittings. The veil was a mess. I ordered it months in advance, pickup was delayed twice, and when it finally "arrived," they told me someone else had already picked it up. I tried to get a credit just to order the same veil online, but I was told they don't even make that veil anymore and there is sometimes a delay in taking discontinued products off the floor. I had to call the store twice a day for several days because managers never called back like they promised. This delayed my hair and makeup trial even though I was willing to just pick a different veil. Eventually, I received a message that they sourced another one and it was ready for pickup, though I never actually spoke to a manager to resolve it. Final dress pickup from alterations was a disaster. After the veil situation, I called that morning to confirm my appointment before I made the drive to Kennesaw and was told my dress was ready. When I got there, they were still sewing and I did not even get to try it on until over an hour later. Even though I had lost weight, the dress was suddenly way too tight. I had to go kill time in town while they let it back out. When I finally got it back, the inner "stay" was too loose, but I was so done with the situation that I just took it home. I will be adding an extra clasp myself. The cost was a huge shock. Alterations were almost the price of the dress itself for a pretty standard hem, bustle, and fit. The only custom part was the sleeves, where I provided the fabric myself. I really think brides should be given a minimum alterations quote when they buy the dress so they are not blindsided. The employees at this location are lovely and pleasant to work with, but the lack of communication and the technical issues made this way more stressful than it should have been. read more

Review based on an online purchase! BEWARE! I ordered a couple of items online: wedding dress, 3 pairs of shoes, a purse to match the shoes, hair clip and a veil. The first shipment (1/3) received was the wedding dress, pair of shoes, hair clip and purse.... all were packed up nicely. The rest of the items were not. I ordered a 9ft veil, but I received a 4 or 5 ft one. NOT THE SAME. I had to contact customer service who gave me a shipping label to send veil back through UPS. Now I am waiting on the correct one. The other 2 pairs of shoes I received were used! Literally had hairs on them still, and you could see dirty foot imprints on them. Disgusting! I have to return to UPS to send the USED shoes back. If I could give no stars I would! David's Bridal is a complete scam! They DO NOT care about their customers what's so ever! They put little to no afford into helping you find the perfect dress. All they want is to make a quick sale and call it a day. When I was trying on wedding dresses at David's bridal I only tried on 3 dress, none in which I liked/loved. But the sales person kept pushing for a sale, she kept adding promises to the dress for a better look. The dress was pretty but not for the beach pretty. I felt overwhelmed and peer pressure by David Bridals staff. When I finally caved into getting the dress I thought they had marked down all the things they said they'll do to my dress. When alterations day came, everything they said they'll do for my dress was "discontinued" !!! It was a nightmare. We paid early in advance for some of the things I wanted done to the dress. Oddly, they had no record of what I wanted. Now I'm stuck with a dress I don't even want. And alterations didn't even alter my dress to the correct hight I wanted it at. I felt completely unheard. Like my voice didn't even matter at that point. They milked me for my wallet, and now I can't even get a refund!! Secondly, My sisters who are my bridesmaids got their dresses at a decent price, which was nice. But one of my sisters was told by one of the sales person to get her dress 2 sizes bigger when she fit a size 2 perfectly. Later when she went to alterations she was charged double the price of what she paid for her dress. My second sister learned from the other sister and decided to go elsewhere for alterations. Davids Bridal took longer to alter a single dress compared to going to your local alterations shop which was a lot cheaper and faster to do. I have 2 pictures to share when it comes down to getting your dress altered at David's bridal compared to alterations outside of David's bridal. One looks like a slap stick job while the other one looks clean and thorough. Lastly, David's bridal does have pretty dresses. But it is frustrating when they ended up discontinuing certain colors on their dresses, and then end up telling you that you have a limit time on buying the dress that you want because they will soon go out of stock. I had a pretty mixed experience with this location. I got caught in traffic and called to share that I would be late, so they graciously moved my appointment back 30 minutes. So nice! Then I was set up with my consultant, Nicholas, who was AMAZING! So helpful, friendly, and attentive. 10 out of 10 experience with him! I was in and almost out... Leslie is the reason for my 3 star rating. I was waiting in line to make my purchase and it was taking a while but I wasn't in a rush and everyone was doing the best they could. I was next in line and that's when Leslie helped a couple that walked into the store while I was already in line and processed their return. The worst part is there was no one in line behind me. She clearly knew the couple and had helped them at some point, but she didn't even acknowledge my existence or that she was going to let them cut the line. She could have said "I'll check you out in a moment," but instead she pretended as if I wasn't standing there in line the whole time. Like I was totally insignificant and she couldn't be bothered to be kind. Luckily another associate became available and checked me out (and she was nice)...I think her name was Sydney. It's sad that my otherwise lovely experience wrapped up like that. My feelings were hurt and I was def a little emotional about that type of treatment. Honestly, I just wanted to leave. I don't know anything about Leslie, but a little kindness and awareness would have been nice. Everyone in the store is shopping for a special occasion and while it's likely celebratory, it doesn't mean that folks don't have anxiety when shopping. I had the most wonderful experience here! I went in unsure of what I wanted. I am in my 40s and getting married for the first time. I had convinced myself I just wanted a simple white dress, but did the formal dress shopping at the prompting of my nieces. My stylist, Carmella, heard me out, took time to figure out my style, encouraging me the whole way that I deserved a true bridal experience, no matter my age. She brought me a dress at the very end that I never would have chosen myself, but I trusted Carmella so I tried it on. It was THE dress. I immediately fell in love. I have mixed emotions on David's Bridal. I found the dress a love and the alterations department was excellent. Where my issues are was when I purchased my dress and other items. I purchased a petticoat. When I got it home it was ripped and dirty. Very Gross!!! How rude charging me full price on used item. I went up there and leadership was good to fix it, but they had to order it. It was a long wait for it. When it came in no one called me. Luckliy the lady in alteration checked on it and found it arrived. My suggestion is don't sell a product you wouldn't use. ZERO stars if I could. David's Bridal I hope thousands of people see this! I am absolutely disgusted with the way I have been treated by both David's Bridal in Kennesaw, GA & Oklahoma City. Here's my experience. First I want to preface this by saying my family and I have been loyal customers of David's Bridal as long as I can remember. We have always given David's Bridal our business for all of our events we have attended over the years. I went to shop for a wedding gown at their Kennesaw, GA location last August and had a very poor experience. The stylists were rushing me out of the fitting room, treating me as if I was not going to buy anything, and acting like I was a waste of their time. On my way out of the store after being rushed, I saw a dress on a mannequin that I wanted to try on. I had to basically beg them to let me try it on. I ended up LOVING the dress, but unfortunately I did not get to stand on the pedestal, no one helped me clamp it, no one "jacked me up" with a veil until I hunted them down and only then they reluctantly put a veil on me. I didn't get my moment. I didn't get to ring the bell, I didn't get to stand on the pedestal and have my "this is the dress" moment, but I really wanted the dress. I bought the dress despite it being the wrong size. It was way too big and I asked if they had another in my size but they told me it was discontinued and there would never be another one. I took it anyway and decided I would have it altered since I loved it so much and they told me there wasn't another one anywhere in the world. I could tell they were surprised that I was buying something. The stylist gave me a discount, which I believe was his way of apologizing for not treating me like a bride. Fast forward to now. I moved to Oklahoma City recently and was in a David's Bridal store shopping for yet ANOTHER bridesmaids dress and I saw my dress, (yes, the one they assured me was discontinued) hanging up close to the doors. So I asked if it was available in my size. They told me it was, but they will not do an exchange for me. Despite multiple attempts to reason with them, they are refusing to exchange the dress for the correct size. They are saying it's because it has surpassed their 60-day return policy. However, I believe an exception should be made since I paid $2000 for a dress that doesn't fit me because they told me it was the only one. Not only do they refuse to make this right, price match the discount & process the exchange, they won't even allow me to pay the difference. They would not lose a single DIME by doing this swap for me. The dress I have has not been opened or even touched since I got it. They have not offered to discount alterations or ANYTHING. NOTHING has been done to make this situation right. I am so hurt and disgusted that this is how they are choosing to treat a bride & loyal customer. It is very disappointing. One of the many excuses I heard was that during the time I originally bought my dress, they were going bankrupt. I think my experience speaks as to why they were going to go out of business. I had my wedding dress and crenlin ordered over a month ago and a half ago and at my fitting there was no one in there to help me get into my dress and I know that when they had received my crenlin it had been sold because they have several prom dresses on their floor and there was no way it wouldn't have been there by then. On march 1st this is less than a month before my wedding and they said it still hadn't arrived but somehow it would be at my house within the week. It's been two weeks since that incident and less than two weeks till my wedding and I haven't received a tracking number or call to even update me. Overall experience was horrible considering we made appointments and my mother had wound up taking off work that day because they didn't even get me in at my appointment time. I bought a bridesmaid dress about a year ago and due to getting sick, I wasn't able to attend the wedding or wear the dress. I returned the dress and was only able to get store credit. That is fine. I knew soon enough I would be getting engaged so I am sure I could use it. Fast forward to this past weekend, I have been to this store numerous times within the past few months trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to use my store credit for and just about every time, I was given less than satisfactory customer service. Yet, I needed to spend this money so I went back this weekend to get my step daughters bridesmaid dress to only find out that Davids Bridal went bankrupt last year and all assets were taken. I lost all my money and now my store credit is invalid. No letter in the mail to inform me. Not eligible to file a claim. No accommodations. just a straight up- sorry. we can't do anything to help you. Just a few moments ago I left a negative review, but during that time much has changed and I've attempted to remove my first review. We are pleased to say that the manager feels absolutely horrible about what happened and is bending over backwards to make this right. My daughter and I were extremely disappointed that David's Bridal ordered the wrong size wedding dress. Because it's too small it cannot be altered. My experiences here have been hit of miss. I have had a stylist where I had to take my own notes, pull my own dresses, even clip myself in the oversized dresses, all while receiving a hateful attitude from the associate. BUT my most recent experience was top-of-the-line and is the reason for the better rating. Ask for Kendy. She is fantastic and belongs in a high-end boutique. She was knowledgeable on the collections, fabric, pricing and availability. She even has a degree in fashion design. She took notes on the favorites and the misses. She went out of her way to pull requested styles and other looks she thought might interest the bride. She really deserves to have her own boutique and should consider that for her future. People would flock to her for her fashion expertise and sense of high-end customer service. read more

I will say that I've been here a couple times for alterations and they're usually pretty good. I had an appointment to pick up my bridesmaids dress today at 11am. This date has been scheduled for a month. I got there at the appointment time and they told me they had not even started my alterations yet. I was told I could just go wait at Starbucks for the next hour + until she was able to finish. They had no reason as to why my dress hadn't been touched by alterations yet. It was a very unprofessional experience and that is disappointing because I've usually had good experiences here. But this shouldn't have happened. If it wasn't ready they should've reached out before today instead of letting me waste my whole day driving here and waiting for them to actually do my alterations. I can't imagine what they would've done if I needed more than just a hem on my dress. Extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional. read more

We ordered it an it was not supposed to come until Dec 4th but I got a text an picked an I picked my wedding dress up Nov 13th it came early and I still had a amazing experience we tried my dress on to ensure everything was good and I had tried a 14 on in one style dress because my dress they didn't have my size so it was a bigger size dress we ordered a 14 but it ran small in that style dress we didn't know it wouldn't fit an it still was my lucky day the gentleman checked an they jus got a brand new size 16 in tried it on an it fit perfectly read more

Most unprofessional unhelpful store. I came here looking for a bridesmaid dress when the bride has an account with David's bridal with all the dresses she picked out for us to choose from. I had two people helping me and neither one of them were able to filter the dress by my size so they wasted my time by making me try on dresses that were not apart of the brides account with them. What's the point of having an account with them if they can't even pull it up correctly. Went to pick up my dress and one of the register ladies couldn't even acknowledge me and left when I was next in line to go assist with someone else in the store. I accompanied my friend to David's to help her pick out bridesmaids dresses for her December wedding. We went in the middle of the day on a Thursday so it was not crowded which allowed us to have free range of the store. Overall, the dresses are appropriately priced and there was a good selection. For being David's Bridals largest location in Georgia, we were disappointed that they did not have a lot of their dresses styles that we had picked out online. I had no problem trying on dresses for my size, but we have a bridesmaid in the party who would not be able to have the same experience as I since the sample dresses only go up to 18 or 20. I think my biggest issue with our visit was the bathrooms. I was horrified that a two stall restroom for a bridal salon would be so dirty: paper towels on the floor, the latch on one stall did not work, the hardware for the second stall missing, and the obvious lack of cleanliness was gross. I've been in nicer gas station restrooms. At the end of our visit, our stylist recommended that we purchase our dresses at the shop location and not online. I assumed it was for revenue and commission purposes, but she then shared that if we had issues with the order, dress return, etc then the shop could not help us and we would need to deal directly with customer service. She added the customer service line is a nightmare. It speaks volumes when your own employees say your customer service is hellish. read more

This place was a cesspool. It was hot. There were easily 50-60 people in the store. There was nowhere to sit during the appointment. The dressing room area was packed tightly with people. There was no way to social distance at all. Our bridal consultant was late and then rude to us about how much time she had to work with us. Then when the bride was trying on dresses the consultant told me to make sure I helped her get into her dresses if she needed help. Like what is the point of a bridal consultant if she doesn't help the bride try on dresses. There is a sign on the front door stating "Masks are Optional". We were the only group wearing masks. I would not go back to this store even if someone paid me. Would give a zero star rating if I could. read more

I'd give this store a zero if it were possible. I regretfully went there today with my daughter and my two granddaughters, we were looking for 3 dresses for each of them for 3 separate events between April and June. My daughter was prepared to spend approximately $3,000 including gowns, shoes and accessories. We had called ahead and were informed no appointment was necessary during the week. The staff, in particular the manager, were rude beyond belief, all the time knowing that 3 people were having to try on gowns in 1 changing room and THEN told we had 30 minutes to complete everything from start to finish! I have never in my entire life felt so demeaned, so disgusted and so angry as to the treatment not only WE were subjected to, but how other young girls (obviously trying on prom gowns) were treated. My suggestion to the 'powers that be' within your organization would be to totally revamp or retrain your staff there, management at this location has ZERO hope of actually learning how to treat customers, much less training the rest of your staff. We finally found the dresses required at Nordstrom and Saks, where my daughter happily paid handsomely for beautiful gowns having received excellent customer service and ample time in which to choose and try on the gowns. Long story short, give this place a miss....and save yourself a boatload of stress. Say NO to the dress here. read more

My daughters and I came here to buy 3 different dresses each, for 3 different events, and we were only given 30 minutes to do so. This location is far better than the location in Buford. The customer service is great. They have a huge selection of dresses on the floor for you to browse through and a large amount of accessories. Being a plus size bride, I struggled to find boutiques with dresses I could try on in-store but this location has plenty! Please ask for Rachel Katie, best salesperson ever! If I could give a lower star then 1 I would!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE the manager was nothing but horrible forced me to try dresses that wasn't my size! I asked for water multiple times and never got it! My mom and grandmother asked for chairs multiple times and never got them. After everything when it was time to pick up my dress it came in a PLASTIC BAG!!! Was told told it was 20' dollars for a cloth bag but was never once offered a cloth bag. DO NOT GET ALTERATIONS HERE. I'm super lucky I'm only a bridesmaid and not the bride. I previously left this business a positive review for the help we received while picking out the bridesmaids dresses. The alteration experience was awful. I went to get the dress altered a month and a half before the event they had me pick it up a week before the wedding and hadn't touched the dress and did minor hem alterations while I was sitting in the waiting room. The cost was outrageous for what I received they kept the dress to fix the sleeves that were coming off my shoulders. I told them to please make sure not to raise the shoulders too tight as it would be cutting off circulation into my armpits. They didn't listen and now I'm going to have to have it fixed by an outside party at a rush fee. I never leave negative reviews but I was completely ripped off. read more
