I had a disappointing experience with David's Bridal that I feel compelled to share. When I went in to purchase my wedding dress, the manager (Alyssa) and a sales associate (Mykelle) who helped me were unusually nice--almost too good to be true. They went above and beyond, even offering to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. Given how friendly and reassuring they were, I trusted them. Fast forward to just two weeks before my wedding, and they had completely ghosted me. No responses to messages, no updates, nothing. If I had relied on their promise without a backup plan, I would have been left scrambling at the last minute, completely unprepared on one of the biggest days of my life. This kind of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. If David's Bridal allows their employees to make these kinds of commitments to customers, they should at least ensure follow-through or have accountability measures in place. Brides put a lot of trust in their vendors, and this experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I highly recommend future brides be cautious when dealing with salespeople here--don't rely on any promises made beyond the sale of your dress, or you might end up in a stressful situation like I did. On top of all of this, I should've listened to the reviews in regards to alterations. Not only was the pricing on the higher-end, but the quality of the work was inferior. Half of the dresses of my bridal party had sloppy work, to the point of refund. We're talking missing fasteners, bunched up stitches, and crooked/asymmetric seams. Butchered. Like the reviews on here and the horror stories on reddit recommend- take your dress to an actual seamstress. You will not only save money and get your dress back faster, the quality of the work will be professional for your big day. Overall- good place to buy a dress... but that's it. I went in with my best friend stating I was looking for a tea length dress for my 40th birthday. I also said I didn't mind if it was bridal. This is a big celebration for me & I was ready to spend up to $600 on a dress. The young woman pointed me to the shorter bridal dresses & said "what size are you? I'll see if we have it" I replied that "I think I'm an 18, but not sure because of my bust" As I wandered around, I got offered no other assistance other than a few minutes later she said "we don't have your size back there. Maybe try the clackamas location because they have more of a selection" and was sent on my way. No offering of measurements, or to tell me what sizes they did have, I wasn't even sure of my size, as I'm typically a 12 but with my bust had sized up based on their online measurements. It was like they couldn't be bothered to make the effort to see if there was anything in the store they could show me or even have me try on. Seemed like the 2 or 3 of the employees there would rather sit & talk with each other than help someone purchase a dress, which is their job. What a waste of a trip to Salem. Ask for Jasmine I wanted to edit review to include that all the people we encountered at the store were very friendly and helpful. The shop was very busy when we went in for our appt. and they all work through the floor very professionally. Not understanding the negative reviews on here-- we had a terrific experience! We even had to exchange a dress and then exchange a size. We were a little embarrassed about having to change the order twice. DO NOT COME HERE! Even Amazon is cheaper and has better customer service. I wish I had more to give but every time come in it's another struggle. It honestly should not be that hard especially when their motto is to make it easy. The customer service here does NOT exist, especially compared to other locations. If you're able and willing to go to Portland, do it! Most recently I came in for a last minute dress need and explained my size with two comparable brands. Instead of recognizing as a dress store that the sizing is different and pulling accordingly they went tv e opposite direction. I kept explaining nothing pulled is working what else is there. Finally someone with more experience came by and made it all happen, measured and pulled correct size, style, and color, and even made sure I was covered with everything I needed. HOWEVER, checking out was a different experience more like the first. Suddenly I needed to sign up for loyalty and it was such a process to check out. As I left I was not told their return policy is 7DAYS ONLY. I was only told if I don't wear the bra I could return it. I'm my attempt to return it because I didn't need it I waited over 10min and was postponed twice, once for a call and once for a different customer. Eventually they told me there was nothing they could do despite not having anything given to me with a return policy or being told. When I asked if there was any solution they walked behind a dress rack to talk about me instead being professional and passing the transaction to someone who could help. Simultaneously they tried to sell a flower girl tiara as a bridal tiara for over $150 after spending the entire time I was there searching the David's bridal website to find a comparable tiara to charge for. But ultimately it was the utter lack of respect given to the bilingual family when they asked to pickup all the dresses. The same girl who eventually helped me had told them their pickup date was 7/30. They simply asked if they were here and could between picked up now to save a trip in English and she repeated their date. Eventually she agreed to go check and sure enough not only were all the dresses ready to pick up but someone their came to speak with them in their first language and sign what was needed. They have one employee who actually speaks Spanish and if any others claimed to speak any other language on their resume, they don't. They simply couldn't help others, and aren't trained for the basics. The consultant brought 5 bridesmaids dresses which were, according to her, the only ones available in the proper color for the timeline. She did not ask style preferences nor did she give any instructions on how the try on procedures were during covid. Overall, I felt like a major inconvenience to their staff. I keep having issues with this location. I keep going back thinking the last issue was a fluke, but they keep happening. This was my last, most recent issue. I was really dreading buying my actual wedding dress here, so I'm really glad I didn't have to, however, they have the cheapest clean and preservation package for wedding dresses and my dry cleaners was closed on Sunday when I was doing errands, so I decided to drop it off with DB. I left my dress in my nice garment bag, thinking I'd get it back, but I did not. After speaking with them, they are supposed to take it out of the garment bag and give it back to you, however they did not and I was dealing with the manager when I left my dress. She even made a comment about how nice of a garment bag it was. Yeah I know, I would've like it back, as I need it for a second dress I bought. They are sending me of theirs so they made it right. But I'm overall fed up with DB and all of their mistakes. Do not do alterations here, go find a small business to support who actually cares about their work and customers. The alterations lady here was adding so many different alterations that I didn't need (but was clueless at the time - bridesmaid dress 2020) and then she set up a time for me to pick up my dress when they weren't open! I still don't understand how that happened, I guess I should've checked their hours, but then why schedule a pickup for when you're closed?! It also seems like they go through employees very fast. I have gotten new employees several times in the past, and one was not educated on dresses at all. I was asking what a certain material or style was called and she didn't know hardly any of them. I felt very defeated and was unsuccessful that day. I honestly hate going in here but the convenience is hard to pass up when you're in a bind. I purchased a jumpsuit with them for my reception, and that was a pleasant and painless process. I got the jumpsuit on time and it was only $200. Nothing bad to say about that experience. I'll probably still end up going here in the future due to their large inventory and convenience, but I hesitate giving them my business. read more

I found a dress that I love and left really happy. Today was a rough experience. To start, they measured me in front of a group of strangers, and did so incorrectly so the first several outfits were way too small, even after I told them the sizing sounded wrong. They double booked the stylists so there was not anyone around to help get into or out of dresses, and I ended up pulling my shoulder fighting a cheap zipper. The one central podium with surrounding mirrors was full of someone else's entire family so everything I tried on got to be seen by the same strangers I was measured in front of. There wasn't a mirror in the dressing room for some reason so I was having to check my reflection in a piece of plastic signage. The dresses themselves were cheap and fit poorly - like prom dresses but somehow worse, yet the stylists still couldn't stop telling me how "flattering" things were that hid my belly (don't do this to fat people. Or anyone). On a scale of enjoyable things, my visit to David's Bridal fell somewhere between a tax audit and a minor car accident. 0/10. read more

Had a great experience last night at David's Bridal in Keizer. I was able to make an appointment on short notice after dreaming of a specific dress. My stylist was Lauren and she was great! Lauren pulled my 'dream' dress for me and the rest was history. The sales manager Sadé was also there helping to pull other possibilities and help with the appointment in general. They were both incredibly helpful and made the appointment so super fun! So excited I found the dress for my big day and even more excited about the experience I had. Due to Covid and all my bridesmaids being in different states, I went to this appointment alone, but with Lauren and Sadé's input and help with a FaceTime call to my MOH, it really felt like I was amongst good friends. I can't believe all the negative reviews here! Then again, we're talking potential Bridezillas, so maybe I'm not so surprised ... I, however, had an awesome time at David's Bridal! I was immediately greeted with a friendly face and "hello, welcome!" I didn't catch the woman's name, but she had me sign in and browse around before a stylist was able to help me out, which only took about 10 minutes. I was about to walk out, thinking I wouldn't find anything, when Stephenee greeted me and started asking me what I'm looking for. I'm so glad I stayed because she was super knowledgeable, down to earth, patient, and friendly. She helped me with my bustier and every dress I wanted to try on after we went through their catalogue together. I'm telling you, she's basically a mind reader! She knew what I wanted before I even asked and we were on the same page every step of the way. She even took a bunch of photos of me in the dress I'm pretty sure I'm settled on with my phone. My friend recently became engaged and since she was SO excited to look at dresses, I agreed to enter this hell hole of a store. Since I'm also her maid of honor, I had to look out for my own interests as well, as I certainly didn't want to get caught in some ugly poofy sleeved thing. And boy, do those fugly things still exist! Anyway, my real complaint here is that they expect you to sit down and register with all your personal information before you can even try on a dress. Why, exactly, do you need a persons phone number, address, fiance's name, his phone number, his job title, and his mother's maiden name before trying on a dress? To make you feel committed, of course. I hate sales tactics like this. No one wants to be harassed by David's Bridal--so I had her put down a fake phone number. read more

Would have been five stars if I was just reviewing the friendly and helpful lady that worked with us yesterday, Christa. She was so caring and yet focused on the task of finding my sister's dress in the time we had even though we brought way too many dresses over. She treated my sister with respect and made the experience enjoyable for all of us. She was tactful in the polite way she kind of told us how to not overwhelm the bride, aka stop bringing dresses! The other girl with long dark hair assisting Christa was very friendly and helpful, too. Christa was just so professional. She even did what I'm sure she is required to do by suggestive selling additional items to up her commission, but she did it without it being annoying or too obvious which is super nice to not be annoyed by someone pushing sales. The only reason they don't get five stars is the stores lack of labeling prices on all items. My sister bought three head pieces thinking they would be similar prices to all the other head pieces with prices on them. They weren't even close. I felt it was of poor taste to only have labels on less expensive items and "miss" the ones on the more expensive ones. read more

I struggle with this location. on one hand, at my first wedding, I found a beautiful dress (even though I went in begrudgingly, certain I WASN'T going to find something I liked, and not even wanting a big fancy dress). I found a lovely dress that was relatively affordable for what it was: $600.00, though I'm rather conservative on buying fancy and expensive things. I then spent about 200$ altering it, and then another 200 on the other garments. In hindsight I feel like I was pressured into these things by other personnel (though the "stylist" at the time was WONDERFUL and accommodated my dress buying anxieties.) on the second hand, I went in to look for a dress that was in a smaller budget. My only requirements was budget and modesty and I am on the beginning sizes of plus size. There was hardly any options. There was only ONE dress to try on. I felt that the shop catered more to the smaller brides with a 1,000$ budget. I went to a consignment shop and found probably 15 dresses in my size and price range to try on. It's not a high end boutique, it should have more options. read more

We came in to pick out a dress for my wife for her sisters upcoming wedding. The staff was pretty amazing and beyond helpful. We didn't feel pressured whatsoever and they were on point with suggestions for accessories and how the dress actually fit. One thing that did impress me was how good the staff was with kids. There was a little girl that ended up grabbing a bunch of bracelets to try on. They treated her like a princess. My neice was getting fussy and they didn't mind or have an attitude with us. Cassie was my stylist and she put in 100% plus effort to make sure I was comfortable, informed about the process and very respectable. I particularly like the way this location has proper mirrors and a podium for you stand in front of your friends and family. Not sure if they know this, but customers, especially women, don't particularly enjoy going to a store just to be insulted. The woman altering my dress flat out told me that I was vertically challenged. Now, I'm no Amazonian, but at 5' 6" I hardly would consider myself to be vertically challenged. Even if I was, you certainly don't say that to a paying customer. I won't even go into detail about how rude she was to another bridesmaid in the bridal party - just save yourself and shop somewhere with appropriate customer service. read more

Worst experience ever! Don't waist you time at Keizer Station David's Bridal. My daughter booked an appointment three months out as she lives in central Oregon and wanted both her sister and mother to help her find the perfect dress. When we arrived we were told there was no one available to help us. They finally found someone to help us, after 15 minutes of standing around, only to find there was absolutely no place for us to sit when they brought us back to the dressing rooms, mind you there where only three of us including the bride. With so many people, especially in the the middle of Covid, we decided to leave. On our way out, the store manager stated we could come back when the store wasn't so busy and they could help us, that this this was their busy time of day and at the start of bridal season. Like it was our fault for coming at a busy time, I reminded her we had a scheduled appointment and making another appointment would obviously not guarantee staff would be available to assist us. If I could give this experience less than one star I would. I don't recommend this store to anyone. read more

This must be the worst David's Bridal in Oregon. I made an appointment to be fitted for a bridesmaid dress at 5. When arriving I stood there and the employees had their backs facing the customers, I waited for a good 2 minutes then somebody else who was walking by asked if I was helped yet. Then the other two girls turned around and asked if I made an appointment. Mind you, that they did notice me walk in and we made eye contact. After they found me on their "schedule" they took me back and looked for the dress. The girl who helped me was actually sweet, but you could tell she was being pulled in multiple directions which left me without a person to help me into the dress or anything. I waited for her to come back which was after 10 minutes if not more and decided to take my paper work and head up front to pay for the dress. I waited at the counter for 5 minutes before anybody would help us, they asked if I had any questions and I simply replied that i wanted to pay and leave. Nichole who was helping me at check out and informed me that the dress I needed was not available until 15 weeks and it wouldn't come in time for the wedding. This is where the HORRIBLE customer service comes in, at that point she offered ordering another style in that color or talking with the bride. After leaving I then called the Beaverton store and some how they were able to find the exact dress at a store in Ohio. Why couldn't the Keizer store find that dress? Or even mention that it possibly might be available at another store and I could get it shipped to Oregon? I was able to get the dress I needed for this wedding and unfortunately I had to do all the work in tracking down this dress. I should have been getting paid to do their job, but some people are just lazy. Anyways if there are any brides or bridesmaids who need to get dresses, I urge you to drive the extra couple of miles to the Beaverton Davids Bridal. At least they have a better understanding of their own computer systems and how to treat people. AVOID KEIZER Davids Bridal at all costs. read more

Omg if I could give this place less then 1 star I would...made an apt 3 months in advance for them to call the week of and tell me they double booked my apt and asking me to reschedule the following day. I live 2 hours away and when I told the gal this she insisted I just come the next day...how inconsiderate and extremely inconvenient on my part when clearly I am not at fault. So I said I'd go somewhere else and only then she said that they would "make it work". I wish that was the end of my awful experience...but it gets worse. When we arrived we were gifted with someone who's first day happened to be that day. She was worse then bad. She had absolutely zero clue what she was talking about, what the rules were, story policy during COVID, dress info, literally anything. She kept telling us we were pressed on time from the first 10 min of meeting us. It took 20 min for me to even get any dresses to try on!! Then she allowed my friend to go pick out dresses and told her some couldn't be tried on due to whatever reason and when my friend suggested maybe we alter it she then kept saying "oh that's actually a good idea I'm going to have to remember that"...this is seriously an embarrassment for a wedding establishment. She assumed at the end we were going to buy a dress so she gave a speal that took up the rest of the time we had to spend looking at dresses but by that time she ran out of dresses to show us anyways (3 we're tried on) all in all just NO. I went in to David's bridal with my 5 bridesmaids and had the worst experience of my life with them. I went in hoping to have my consultant help me with ideas on dresses and maybe pull dresses that were in the style I wanted. She pulled 3 dresses and then disappeared I saw her 2 times after she measured all of the girls. I was pulling dresses for the sizes of the girls when I could find them on the racks. I was very dissatisfied with the way we were treated when we left I didn't even see her to talk about the styles I liked and style number so I took it upon my self to find them and get the style numbers my self. I was a little mad that there were so many consultants/ workers just sitting around on there phones. I asked 2 young ladies behind the desk how to read the style numbers of the dresses on the rack they looked up annoyed that I had asked them a question and took them away from there phones they did help me with that. Then went straight back to there phones. If your looking for a bridal shop that pays attention to you don't go to David's bridal in Keizer. Horrible customer service and worse consultants they are no help other than to get measurements and give you an idea of the size. read more

Went in to try on bridal gowns and was helped by Dahlia. She was professional, sweet, and helpful. She had me trying on several dresses she selected from my very broad criteria, and one of them was perfect. When I came back in for a fitting she greeted me and was friendly, even though I know helps so many different brides. I had a fitting with Eve, who was also friendly, kind, and professional. I didn't feel like I was pushed into buying any extras from either Dahlia or Eve, though they did present me with lots of different products and alteration options in a non-pushy way. I ended up spending $550 on a dress and $220 on alterations. I haven't gotten the dress back yet with the alterations, but so far my experience has been excelent. My only complaint is that they did not have all the sizes in the store to try on. I felt nervous about ordering a size that I couldn't try, not even in another style dress (2 petite). I bought my wedding dress here about a year ago, and was married two months ago. Looking back, I wish I wouldn't have even come here. There is nothing against the staff or store, but there's so many bridal boutique stores where there are used wedding dresses in terrific shape that have only been worn once. When you do the alterations and cleaning, it still wouldn't end up costing more than $600. My entire order would have costed over $1200 if I had done the alterations and adjustments; and I bought one of the cheapest dresses there. I don't know about anyone else, but I just cannot justify spending that much money for a dress I will wear once. It's ridiculous. Unless you're made of money, I suggest looking at bridal boutiques first before coming here. It is a wonderful store that is incredibly clean and warm. Having used David's Bridal for my own wedding 13 years ago and having great experiences for both me and my bridesmaids I have to say I was disappointed this time around. I was shopping with my friend the bride for my bridesmaids dress. Alicia helped us and at first she was attentive but after EVERY dress I tried on she asked "ready to order it?" I felt pressured to decide with every dress rather than just enjoy the process of trying on many until I found the right one. I did eventually find the perfect dress but it was only because I was persistent and kept asking to try on different styles. The service I received in Keizer was flawless, found the dress I wanted!! But it was not in my size so Megan found it for me at the Beaverton store and set it up for pick up the next day. I took the 45 minute drive right after work and when I got to the store the customer service sucked, I received my dress and I said, "something is not right, it is not the dress I chose." I was given to someone to help me try it on and again said "the color isn't right." I tried it on and when I came out she did not even assist me in zipping my dress up, like I said customer service sucked. I again told her it was not the right dress then she said "well, they did say it should have been a champagne color." Then why the hell are you giving me an ivory colored dress???? You knew this and you took me to be a fool? Shame on the persons who made this mistake for not giving a damn.This store gave me the impression I was not worth their time or attention..but I know better...David's Bridal is not worth my time. read more

I couldn't have picked a better place to pick out my dress. I wasn't really going in to David's Bridal to pick out a dress just yet, but just to "look around" as our wedding isn't until November 2018. Our stylist Dahlia impressed us from the beginning! Her knowledge and experience helped us make our shopping experience AMAZING and FUN. She sat me down and asked me about what I was looking for and what I wasn't looking for. Dahlia even put me in dresses that I wasn't interested in so I would hate it and not regret exploring my options. After going through the dresses I picked "the one" and had that moment with my mom and bridal party. She assured me that it was never too early to find a dress that I wanted and looking around any further would overwhelm my experience. Not to forget the dress doesn't come over night and alterations take sometime. I walked out from David's Bridal ringing that bell! That day I got the dress, a beautiful veil that I can't imagine I would use, the accessories (belt and head band), and the undergarments (I'm sad that it won't be in until July). Thank you so much Dahlia, you have impressed not only me, but my family immensely with your knowledge, experience, and skills. I went into David's Bridal in Keizer Station on a weekday night. The thing I thought was nice is that I didnt have an appointment but they set me up with a sales girl to try gowns on anyway. When David's Bridal called to ask if I needed another appointment, I told them I'd never be back because of this.
