Everyone basically knows the deal with David's Bridal. I had been to this location before to try on and pick up a bridesmaid dress, so I figured I would come again to try to pick out a wedding dress. I called to make my appointment weeks in advance - my mom was coming from NY, my fiancee's mother was coming from NH and his sister from Burlington, VT. When I called a few days before to confirm the appointment (because no one had called me) I was told that they didn't have any appointment for me in their system. After a few seconds of privately freaking out (how am I supposed to re-schedule this with people coming from hours away?), I was impressed when they were able to basically schedule me for the same day and time anyway (a Saturday at that). My consultant Alla was fabulous. She reminded me of Vera from Say Yes to the Dress. She had us all pick out dresses for me to try on and then she brought us to our fitting area, which was right in the middle of the store for everyone to see. I never felt rushed at all and Alla made sure that I tried on dresses from everyone's choices to see what they would look like. The dress I picked out was discontinued so Alla made sure that the one I was trying on actually fit. She even made sure that someone from alterations came over so we could see if the dress could be taken in or let out as needed. We also picked out a veil and the petticoat at the same time and it was all very reasonable. I love the dress that I picked out and everyone thought it was so pretty. I thought it was nice that Alla would call and leave messages asking if she could help in any way whatsoever. She checked in probably 4 times before the wedding and I thought it was a nice touch. The alterations weren't that bad price-wise either. The alterations lady tried to make the bustle with the least amount of points but in such a way that it still looked beautiful - I appreciated that she was thinking about the cost while trying to alter the dress. Also, the petticoat that I had ordered was too small - they were able to order me a new one in time for the wedding at no extra cost, they just did an exchange for me. I also picked out bridesmaid dresses here as well. I brought two of my bridesmaids after work one day and Alla helped us again. Alla was working with someone else at the same time so she wasn't around as much, but it actually worked out so that my bridesmaids could try on the dresses without feeling like we needed to pick one out right away. We picked a tea-length plum dress with straps that looks great on all types of bridesmaids. It was also pretty cheap at about $79. Not too shabby. My biggest issue is that David's Bridal takes your information and sells it to vendors, Mary Kay, who even knows who. I still get calls about bridal packages and emails from some Mary Kay lady. Ridiculous. read more

Let's start off by saying that the first dress I tried on was the one! The staff was super helpful and I actually found a dress that was a beautiful balance of funky, unique and classy! You can find anything with any budget! One thing that set them apart was when it was storming out so bad the parking lot had ankle-deep water. They told me to pull in front of the store with my car and put the dress in it for me so myself and my dress wouldn't get soaked. I love them! read more

Although my firs review was ok. It was also due to the fact that consultant was wonderful in helping me find MY dress.. How ever this score is based mainly on the alterations departmet. If you get alterations done there, be sure you have plenty of time incas they screw up! I went for my intial appointment, and all i needed was te bustling one and to have the dress taken out just a little bit in the hip area. No problem right, WRONG! I went to pick up my dress, go in the room to put it on and before my mother could even zip it up, i knew something was wrong! They took out my dress from the bust to the hip and they took it out a lot!! i was not happy as they could easily tell on my face! Rita ended up coming out to help me, and she knew what was done wrong ad she pomised to have it fixed for the same day my mom went to get her dress (1 week before my wedding). Ok fine.. I get a phone call the day before i am supposed to go AGAIN, telling me i can't com in cause there isn't enough room and i should not have bee scheduled for that time.. Apparently the person calling m had no idea the situation! All I have to say is, ask for RITA if you are getting alterations done there, she fixed my dress and made sure I was happy with it, after the fiasco.. read more

WHAT A NIGHTMARE! I had a decent experience at a David's bridal on vacation in Hollywood, but when I came back home and went to Danvers it was nothing like that. Thank you David's Bridal for adding so much extra and unnecessary stress to my wedding day. The selection of dresses for brides, maids, flower girls and mothers of the brides is fantastic. Plenty to choose from in every style and price range, I have no complaints about that. That, however, is not what I am reviewing. I first went with three of my maids to find their dresses. We made an appointment in advance, and they knew how many girls I had coming so I was confused when we got there and all three of my maids were crammed into one tiny dressing room together. The girl who was assigned to us (I guess thats the best way to put it) grabbed a couple dresses we asked for and pretty much just walked away. We were left to our own devices and she was very little help. We hardly saw her, and when she did make an appearance, she could not have acted any more like she wanted to be anywhere but there. You would have thought I asked her for the world when I asked her any questions. It was a joke, and we felt like cattle. They couldnt get us out of their hair fast enough. The day I went for my own gown, I worked with a lovely woman, I believe her name was Ola(?) she was sweet as pie and very helpful. If I could rate Ola, I would give her 5 stars, seriously. Why bring her up? Because every time this poor woman opened her mouth, everybody else who worked there rolled their eyes and spoke to her like she was a moron. It was embarrassing to watch, this poor woman was treated horribly. She took it like a champ, though. Alterations day 1. I wanted a sash, but the sash I found online wasnt nearly as wide in store, and was not wide enough to cover the waist band on the dress I had chosen. I was going to pass on it, but when I picked the dress, the woman who worked in alterations assured me that they could double up the ribbon so that it would hide the band on the dress. When I went in for alterations, they told me they could not do that and I would need to buy another $80 sash if I wanted it to cover that part of the dress. I reminded her what she had told me previously, and after checking with her managers she agreed to do it and started going to town cutting up the ribbon. When I went to pick my dress up, it looked like a child had sewn on my sash. it was very loosely sewn on, and the bottom ribbon was a mess. She had cut the ribbon into pieces, and sewn those pieces back together creating a large seam out in the open (and off to the side). I pointed it out and was AGAIN told I would need to buy another sash if I wanted to fix the problem. They promised me one thing and delviered another, I was NOT spending $80 on another sash. They fetched a plain ribbon and told me that they would sew on a new ribbon, fine. I sat and waited, and when they brought my dress back out, they had not sewn on a new ribbon. They just tucked that hideous seam under my flowers to hide it, making the entire sash crooked. We sent iit back three times. At that point we decided that was the best we were going to get out of them. That's what every bride wants for her wedding dress, right? "The best we are going to get." I cannot recommend against this place enough. read more

Me and a friend of mine just went to this store today. This was her first time trying on dresses. The selection was great! They had wonderful dress in plus size. Wet tryed on 8 different dresses. Found two we really liked. One was $650 and the other $299! Prices are good. But don't forget your going to spend a few hundred dollars on alterations. We dint buy a dress today but is was a great place to start. I bought my dress here and it was beautiful ! The alterations were perfect. The staff is very friendly and knoigable. I made an appointment at the David's while attending a Bridal Expo held at the Sheraton in Boston. I really wasn't interested in shopping there for my wedding gown, but knew I'd likely select the gowns my bridesmaids would be wearing there. I went in with my 3 bridesmaids on Monday and met with Cindy. First off, she was absolutely fabulous! So not pushy and so very very helpful. As I'm describing my likes and dislikes to Cindy, my friend starts pointing at a wedding gown on a mannequin. I tell Cindy that this dress is the style I'm going for and she pulls my size so that I can try it on. Cindy had so much knowledge about each of the dresses, each of the designers, price, fit, everything. She made us feel comfortable, kept he experience fun, and ran all around to help us find exactly what we were looking for. She made the experience as great as it was and we all left there feeling like a million bucks. She really took the time to get to know me and the girls. When I put the dress on and saw the reaction on my friend's faces, I knew I had found it. I tried a few others on, but they just proved that the first dress was going to be THE dress. Cindy knew this too, and respected my wishes to hold off on buying until I got the ultimate seal of approval - my Dad's. She made me an appointment for the following Sunday to come in and show them, but my Dad being my Dad wanted to go see it the very next day. Unfortunately, Cindy was not there on Tuesday when we returned. The store even called her to see if she could come in for a bit, but she was entertaining at home that night and couldn't. Had she not been busy, I know she would've come in. She's just that great!!! It actually felt incomplete buying the dress without her there. I ended up buying the dress that day, the very next day after trying it on for the first time. Again, I didn't expect to find my dress at David's but I'm so so glad it was my first stop because I seriously underestimated them. I recommend David's, especially this particular location and especially Cindy, to anyone because they truly have something for everyone. Couldn't be happier with the experience!! read more

My daughter and I were shopping for her Prom Dress. We came in David's Bridal just to look. The employees were so very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We had gone to a few other shops as well so this was a breathe of fresh air. My daughter was torn between 2 dresses (one here and another in a different store) so she slept on it and we came back the 2nd day. The staff had remembered us from the day before. I couldn't have asked for a better experience on prom dress shopping. Definitely would shop here again! read more

So If I could write 2 reviews in one this would be great but lets start off by saying I have visited David's 3 times in my life twice in the last month and on my first visit I was so annoyed, offended, dismissed, and well lets be blunt the lady (Alla) she treated me like trash, and normally I wouldn't bash an employee over a website I understand everyone has there days but 2 things 1 being she was that disrespectful and 2 the second time I was there I saw her give the same attitude to the brides she was assisting and would not stop giving me dirty looks by that time I was ready to call it quits not even continue with my wedding and just do it City Hall!! But I said no this woman is not ruining my dream went back yesterday only because any other bridal store might not have my dress in time for alterations for my July wedding I went in with no appointment and with no intention of accepting help of anyone me with my friends help I started racking up all the dresses I wanted to try after a while the front desk attendant approached me and didn't even give me the option of accepting help she called up my angel Cynthia!! So Cynthia was so patient and she did everything possible to help me find my dress and accessorize it, then she went on the mission of trying to find a way to get everything that I truly wanted in time for my wedding because it is in July (color that I really wanted was white but they only had soft white) she figured a way to make it happen course my sash didn't agree so in the end I stuck with the soft white (sorry Cynthia). But with all that being said my reasoning for this great review is all due to CYNTHIA. See I am a firm believer in great customer service I work in retail and I am recognized by my company as one of the best at what I do, so when I go into a place I will admit I have high standards and she went above and beyond even my normal expectations!! Cynthia I personally want to thank you for making my time as pleasant as you did!! read more

David's Bridal - Bridal Near Me - Danvers, Massachusetts

I could not be more impressed by the shop and staff compared to David's Bridal in Nashua NH. Karen was a superstar went over and beyond to help my girls get their dresses. The night before we were in David's Bridal in Nashua no one cared to help us and they said that our order was not possible. I was meeting another one of my bridesmaids in Danvers the next day and such a tremendous difference. Thank so much Karen. All the girls got their dresses that we were told in Nashua that was not possible!! Excellent store and staff!! read more

I didn't get the name of the seamstress that helped me at David's but she was amazing. I went in 6 days before my wedding because the cups of my torsolette were too big and I was concerned about too much cleavage. She worked with me to come up with an option I was comfortable with (she took it in). She didn't charge me and they gave me a new garment bag (at no extra charge) because the zipper on mine broke. I know people have varying opions of David's and I understand that but the seamstress there went out of her way to be helpful and to ease my anxiety. My dress fit perfectly for the wedding and I couldn't be more grateful. read more

This David's Bridal is really irresponsible. They have made so many mistakes with my dress order that I'm not even sure it will arrive on time for the wedding. They said they would ship it to me (as I live in a different state) free of charge right when it arrived at the store location. I received an email that my dress had arrived at the Danvers location and was ready for pick up. I live across the country so that is clearly not possible. I called the store to get to the bottom of this (because they said that it would be shipped right when it arrived - this was all prearranged) and they apologized saying they would be shipping it that day or the next and I would receive it in about a week. The store associate I spoke with said that there was absolutely no way to confirm the shipping nor to send me tracking information. So I just had to wait. Two weeks went by and no dress came. Then I got a voicemail saying that they were preparing my dress for shipment (mind you, this is two weeks after they said they would ship it) and that it was a completely different dress than the other bridesmaids. Turns out that the woman who put the order through messed up one number by one digit. And the cherry on top: The dress that she charged me for was more expensive than the one I had meant to order! When I called the store back, they had no idea what had happened. They said they will order the proper dress today, get it expedited, and refund me the difference of what I was overcharged for. Even more ridiculous, the woman I spoke with today said that I will be sent a confirmation email with tracking information when it gets shipped. Why on Earth did the previous girl I spoke with tell me there was absolutely no way to get tracking information?? However, I have no trust in this company and am really worried that I will not get the dress in time to make the alterations that I know I will have to make. Very disappointing. read more

If I could rate lower I definitely would!!!!! This business is the biggest sham! They do NOT care about their customers or how brides are going to look/ feel on one of the biggest days in their life. I purchased a dress from this company, brought it home and hung it up in a closet. My fiance and I decided to postpone our wedding so we could buy our first home. At the same time we have changed the original plans for our big day from the traditional wedding to something much smaller and on a beach in the summer, which a giant ballgown wont work for. This company now will not let me EXCHANGE the dress that I previously purchased or another dress of equal or even GREATER value after I was lied to over the phone by not only a representative but also the manager. All they care about is their profits NOT about making sure that brides feel beautiful on their special day! Will definitely make sure to let everyone know how horrible this company is and how they treat their clients. read more

I just began my search & not a pleasant experience. There is no way to do a particular dress search to find where/what store may have it. I found a dress I loved on the website advertised in the morning. I called the store & stores no longer carry the dress & 3 others we searched, when it says in stores only. Then I find the dress in sample sale on the web site. Well it's $400. More for a Sample dress. I spoke with customer service & got that's just how David's Bridal operates. It would be a much better experience if like with most stores you can do a locate item search for in store sales. read more

I gave two stars because I did find my dress here, but we did not have a good experience overall. My bridal consultant (Erin) was 15 minutes late to the appointment, did nothing for the majority of it, and wasn't very friendly in general. She didn't ask my budget or try to find dresses for me. Half the time she had wandered off and wasn't there to zip me up when I came out of the dressing room. The other consultants there were also very unfriendly. When we first checked in we were not told that we couldn't take dresses off the rack (apparently you are supposed to turn them to the side until your consultant takes them), and one of the other consultants was rather nasty towards us when she saw us doing it. Do yourself a favor and spend your money at a place that actually cares about customer service. read more

I have mixed feelings about my experience at David's Bridal. Let me start by saying... I found an absolutely perfect dress at a perfect price. That is the ONLY reason I am not rating them a 1 star. The customer service was HORRIBLE! The consultant (Jorgia) left me to go grab a particular dress I was looking for. About a half hour later I found the dress myself and went looking for her to find she had ditched me during my scheduled appointment, to help someone else!?!?!? Then, to top it off, once I tried on my dress, and knew it was right, she finally started to become interested in me.... trying to sell me everything in the store. Even after I told her several times that it was a BEACH WEDDING and I would be BAREFOOT, she repeatedly showed me shoe after shoe after flip-flop. It was the most annoying experience I have ever had with a sales person. Then.... they apparently sold my information to every wedding vendor on the planet because I was harrassed by countless phone calls from people trying to sell me everything under the sun for my wedding. Not to mention Jorgia herself called me 2-3 times to sell me bridesmaids dresses after I told her over and over that my wedding was in CA, and I didn't have bridesmaids, and certainly no one here in MA. She pushed me into an ill-fitting undergarment, and when I asked for my size, she brought back another in the wrong size. Luckily I caught that at the register. I also had to have my alterations redone because they sewed the hem and the modesty panel in crooked. How does that happen when they measured and pinned it correctly?!?! My advise... know the dress you want. Buy only that. Pay cash so they can't steal and sell your information. Then buy your undergarments and accessories elsewhere. And take your dress someplace else to be altered. read more

This shop was wonderful: the sales women and associates, the seamstresses, the dressing rooms, and the dresses. We were shopping for a mother-of-the-groom dress for my sister, who wears a Women's size. At the other stores, we had to imagine what the dress might look like (she's trying on a size 12 or 14); at David's Bridal, she could put on the dress, zip it up, turn around, and decide if she liked it or not. What a difference! There were a number of lovely dresses that worked with her figure to pick from of different styles and lengths. And, the price was right! Thank you for making my sister's wedding experience so positive! read more

David's Bridal made me register with them just to look at dresses, and then sold one of my bridesmaids a dress knowing fully well that they did not carry the dress she was looking for (a Bill Levkoff dress). I recommend not even going to their store to check out dresses so that this does not happen to you. Here's the full story: I wanted to look into using David's Bridal for my bridesmaids dresses. The Sales Associate told me I needed to register, even though I said I wasn't sure I was going to use David's Bridal, so I registered. After I registered, a couple of my bridesmaids visited the store and decided not to go with David's Bridal because they liked the Bill Levkoff dresses at a boutique store better. After deciding not to use David's, I emailed my other bridesmaids the information to go to a store that carries Bill Levkoff and get a long, Horizon blue dress in whatever style they preferred. My bridesmaid in Chicago went to a David's Bridal store and asked if they carry Bill Levkoff. They told her they did. She was suspicious, but then they pulled up my record which indicated I was interested in a long, Horizon blue dress. With that, they convinced her to buy a dress there knowing full well that they do not carry Bill Levkoff dresses. When my bridesmaid told me she purchased her dress at David's Bridal, I told her that wasn't possible. She called the store to confirm it was Bill Levkoff and this time they admitted it was not actually Bill Levkoff but a dress that is similar to Bill Levkoff. They refused to refund her purchase, even though she called within a few days of purchasing the dress. Since then, I have emailed and called David's Bridal to ask for a refund. I have gotten one phone call from them that went to my voicemail. I called them back, but still have not heard anything back from them (it has been over a week). I am furious with David's Bridal and highly recommend not even going to their store to look at their dresses, as they make you register and then lie to your bridesmaids to get them to buy a dress there. read more

I went this last weekend and called last minute for an appointment, the woman on the phone said they were busy, but were able to schedule me in for a little more than 2 hours later. When I got there, I didn't wait long, and Joy was very helpful. She let me look around first and pick out some dresses myself, that I wanted to try on, which I liked. As I was trying on dresses she asked me what I liked about each, and what I didn't so she could work on finding something more suitable. At the beginning she apologized and she said she might be popping in and out, but she was there every time I needed her. She wasn't bothered when I didn't end up buying a dress either, there was never any pressure. I would give Joy, along with the rest of the staff 5 stars, but I only put 4 because of the dress selection. If you are looking for the traditional wedding dresses I would say go for it, while they were beautiful, I am looking for something more form fitting, and not anything that is going to "poof" out. I'm just looking for something a little more simple and classic, I'm getting married in a restored barn, and none of the dresses seemed to fit what I envisioned for the setting. Again, if you want to feel like a princess and glamed up, this is the place to go. read more

I never write reviews but felt the need to post this. My first visit to the Danvers MA location was good. I had Cindy help me pick my gown and I found the dress that I never thought I was looking for. :) My second visit to pick up my dress a few weeks later was terrible. I was given my dress, corset bra and petty coat and the dress was wrinkled but I understand why and it also didn't fit me, it was a tad too tight. So I spoke up and mentioned this and they immediately tried to figure out what to do which is great. Mercedes then came from the alterations department said to me that my dress needed to be let out and I told her the dress is now with everything needed to be fixed is way over budget she then said to me "you can work on that!" I said " oh do you mean lose weight?" She never responded. Shame on her for making a bride feel anything less than happy and beautiful. I will never suggest this location to anyone I know. read more

My name is Dan and I am getting married to my fiancée in Aruba in a week. My fiancee Lejla went to David's Bridal originally with my Mother and picked out a wonderful dress. They were extremely pleasant as they were eager to make this pricey transaction. She mentioned to them that she did not want a train on her dress because we are marrying on a beach, and all they needed to adjust was the neck line. $133 later there was a train on the dress and pins still on the bottom of the dress where the train was now. Lejla was upset but dealt with it. her appointment that night was for 6:30 and this also included the dress to be steamed before Lejla left with it. 6:30 came and the Dress was not ready(pins still in it) not steamed and the help asked her to come back in 15 minutes. Lejla came back in 15 only to be asked to comeback another day because they were too busy. Figuring our resort will steam the dress, she just took the dress and brought it back home with us. That night, still upset from the train issue, she opened the garment bag to check the dress out only to find the dress ripped in the front. Her and her friend eventually went back the next day and the help tried to put the blame on my fiancee. They would not even allow her to return the dress or exchange it for another dress because she already paid for adjustments(she had to before leaving store originally). She even called management who, after talking to one of the store help, explained to Lejla that the help told management it was Lejla who misunderstood and torn the dress by accident. This is her most important day of her life and she has cried on a number of occasions already. She has even bought another dress at Nordstrom because she is so unhappy about David bridal dress And service in general. She currently is trying to get her $600+ back and has been waiting for response to no avail. I actually signed up to Yelp today just for this purpose. Hopefully you read this and think twice of going to David's Bridal. Once they have your initial purchase they are nothing but rude, unintelligent and egotistical woman who care nothing for your most important day. Update: After some internet research, I managed to find a corporate "contact us" email form. I sent an email, and got a phone call the next day. Nancy from corporate was incredibly nice, came to the same conclusion that I did, apologized, and immediately offered to refund the $40. So while I still would give the Danvers store only 1 star, corporate gets 5 for this interaction! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WORST customer service experience ever. Bottom line: I will never buy another dress from David's Bridal. Details of the nightmare are below. As you can see, it's been a long one. First, after going in to the store to try on a bridesmaids dress, and being fitted in the right size, they ordered me the wrong size. I went back, and there was an incredible amount of confusion on their end and completely illogical explanations (The measurements in the computer, which clearly weren't mine as no one had ever measured me, suggested I should have gotten a 4. They had ordered me an 8. They explained the incorrect measurements by accusing me of gaining 2 inches in my bust while losing significant weight - all in seven weeks, amazing!! Then they explained that they had ordered me an 8 because of my large bust (I'm a small B) which obviously couldn't have been possible because the measurements in the computer were for a 4!!!). Next, they tried to get me to pay to alter the size 8 dress because there wasn't time to get it in the correct size. I argued and eventually found out that certain dresses exist in a warehouse somewhere and don't have to be made, so their arrival time is much quicker. I found another style in the same color and in the correct size that I could get in time, and so they did an exchange of the original dress for the new dress. Problem solved, right? Alas, the new dress came in a week and a half after it was promised, and while it fit okay, it came with a tag stating in very large print that it was on sale for $99, whereas I had paid $139. I asked for the difference, and was told that they weren't sure they could do the adjustment because I had originally bought the dress in January and they can only do price adjustments for a few weeks after the original purchase, but since I had had to exchange it in May, that would fit in the timeframe. The sales lady asked her manager and was told they could do the adjustment. She then handed me over to the same grouchy cashier I had dealt with the first time, who told me they couldn't. Half an hour later, I left the store with a promise of "we'll email our regional customer service rep and get back to you Monday or Tuesday". Apparently David's Bridal doesn't use phones to get quick answers for their customers? A week goes by, and of course, I don't hear anything. I call, and get the store manager, who is very nice and promises to get me an answer by the end of the day. She actually does call me back late that night to tell me that it has to go up another level in their organization and that she'll get back to me by 5pm the next day. Another week goes by, with not a peep. I call back again, and leave a message for the store manager. Three days later, I get a phone call from the grouchy cashier, who claims to have left me a message a week earlier but "the phone number for me in the computer doesn't seem to be the right one". Funny, they had the right one when the dress came in and when the store manager called me the first time. Anyway, she tells me that they (once again) emailed the next level of manager up the line, who said that since I originally bought the dress in January, they can't give me the refund. It seems to be irrelevant that the dress I bought in January was a DIFFERENT dress and that I now have a NEW dress because they screwed up the first one. I then ask "I don't want to be a jerk, but what's to stop me from just coming in, returning the dress, and then re-buying it at the new price?" She tells me that they don't do returns, which I know is baloney since I have had a dress returned there in the past for a wedding I ended up not being in. She has no response to that and is clearly not going to help me, and I'm at work and busy, so I give up. I also have to wonder if the reason she finally called me back on June 7th was because she knows I had to wear the dress on June 4th (that's one thing the computer manages to have right) and can't actually now just walk back in and return it. It's been a horrible experience and I recommend that everyone stay away!! Story; Part I: We first went to davids bridal in a heap of despair and the sand of our hourglass dripping down like a broken sink. We had 4 months before the wedding and every decision since then had been made hastily. First; the back yard rustic theme, now upgraded to a fancy hotel and all the ammendities. But our first trip was with a budget under $500. The girl assigned to "help us" didn't help us .. she pointed out a small section of dresses that didn't have much to write home about. But I know that's not her fault. But she didn't bother trying to make my best friend feel beautiful trying on dresses..she didn't even bother coming over more than once when there were at least 3 dresses picked out. Part II: the second time was a glorious time, think about Camelot... it was that kind of feeling. The girl was a sweet girl, a little edgy, but that's cool, she seemed serious yet lit up when my best friend tried on "the one". Long story short, she rang the bell, she said yes to the dress, she is close to her happily ever after until..... Part III Until the last two times. And we will keep this into one part even those it is two different times. So first time, we go and get the alterations for the dress fitting. And the lady is nice, she has pink earrings that match her pink nails and her pink shirt. So she pins and bustles and does her seamstress magic. But then....we come back to get the dress and there's pieces that are longer on the dress and strings sticking out and a split seam and missing hoop on the bustle. Now for a well known company, why is the alterations (that you're paying so much for) get so sloppy? *There was this very nice girl that was blonde and had a Disney Princess voice that was very nice and helpful when me and another bridesmaid were looking at bridesmaids dresses and she checked colors and when they'd be ready and all that bridal stuff. She's cool. read more

Ok, not to be a snob but I would NEVER buy a dress here.. I just really feel that the quality is lacking BIG time. There is literally one dress in the entire store (probably the most expensive one because it's over $1000) that I actually like and that didn't feel cheap when I tried it on. For the frugal bride this place is great... huge selection, low prices, etc..for picky people I'd say go somewhere else. I had an appointment and the lady I got (an older woman w/ a heavy accent whose name I cannot remember) kept disappearing and helping other brides. If I didn't have an appointment this would not have bothered me one bit, but since I did it was beyond irritating when my bridesmaid & myself were scraping through racks to find dresses for me to try on..I don't even know why I went there anyways because for my mother's second wedding she went through them and they LOST the bridesmaids shawls..both of them.. never to be found... read more

I just went here yesterday to look for a wedding dress, not expecting to pick one out for the first time. Kaitlyn was AMAZING!! She was so patient and helpful, she definitely made the experience less overwhelming. She was so fun to work with! If anyone is going to look at dresses, ask for Kaitlyn, your experience will be so much fun and less overwhelming!!! read more

This was the first place I went to shop for my wedding dress. It was an ok start for an uneducated bridal consumer, but having been to several places since, David's really is falling short in most areas. The dresses are ok, though I didn't want strapless and was almost completely out of luck unless I wanted to add something that would've looked like I added something that wasn't meant to be there. The staff was reasonably helpful with a few notably rude exceptions, which is a longer story than really needs to be shared here. But my biggest complaint is this: I made the mistake of giving them my info. They called regularly for weeks, even though I never bought anything there. Months later, I started receiving tons of junk email, some wedding-related, some not. I finally called one of the vendors and figured out it was coming from David's. It is possible to call David's customer service and have your customer file deleted, but I just did it this morning so we'll see if it really makes a difference in the email overload. Overall, I'm pretty sorry I ever went there, except for the one shining consultant who made my first trying-on experience pretty great...and she no longer works there. Go somewhere else! read more

Save your time & money and go elsewhere. Horrible horrible experience with the alterations department at this store . I sincerely am saying to stay away and if you do find your dress here find your own tailor so it will be done the correct way and fraction of the price. Rest of the store workers aren't the friendliest either. Would not go back. read more

I came into the Danvers location last September.. I had no intentions of trying on a dress. I just wanted to see what they had. the first girl that helped me, was trying to get me to try dresses I KNOW i would not like! Once I got the actually consultant (her name was Jorja), she was fantastic. She was already working with an appointment, but jumped right in to help me with anything. She didn't even have me try on the dresses the other girl wanted me to.. It's like she knew what I was looking for. I ended up walking out of the store with my dress, and it was the first one I tried on!! I would have given a little more on the stars, if I got help from Jorja right away.. read more

I came in to try my bridesmaid dress on about a month ago. Dress didn't fit right and I had no idea what I was going to do about a bra. So I was nervous, and started getting upset. Jaqueline and Christine were amazing. As someone who struggles with body image issues, Jaqueline and Christine were so helpful, sweet and calming. You both made me feel so comfortable and didn't make me feel like I was over reacting at all. Im sure you guys deal with bridezillas and uptight entitled bridesmaids all day long. Idk how many of them thank you for doing your best, so on behalf of all of them, THANK YOU! read more

Customer service is not here. I made an appointment, showed up early and was pointed to the dresses. After about 3 minutes and picking 2 dresses a woman speaking broken English, rushed me into a dressing room. So I'm there with 2 dresses and no help zipping, etc. The woman just vanished. So I tried on both dresses and wanted to go look some more but I realized my only choice is to leave my belongings in the dressing room and walk out wearing one of the dresses out onto the floor into the gown area at the opposite end of the store, or I could get dressed in my clothes and begin the whole process over again. I looked at my clothes and said, If I put those on, I'm walking out which is what I did. On they way out the woman who whisked me into the dressing room, managed to look up from her chat with the employees out front to say thank you. I looked at her and said thank you for WHAT? You put me in a dressing room and left me with 2 dresses never to be seen gain? She looked at me blankly probably not understanding the language and thanked me again? Seriously? Go there expecting nothing, you won't be disappointed that way. read more

I had a really nice experience here as a bride. They were very attentive and the girl who helped me was just the sweetest! I tried on a lot of dresses... I knew a few I wanted to try and she later on brought a few that she thought would flatter my figure and they really did! I loved how she tried to find dresses for me and didn't rush me at all(I was the last appointment) like in some places where they just wanna go home so they keep rushing you. She definitely made me feel special and I really appreciated that since it was my first time shopping for a wedding dress. The only reason why I'm giving them 3 stars is because I felt a little pushed into buying a dress that same day. It was only my first time shopping and even though I loved the dress I'd like to keep my options open to see some other dresses. She told me that if I didn't buy that day that they couldn't guarantee they'd have the dress the next day. ( really??) I've been looking at these dresses online for years and even before I got proposed to so I have a feeling they'll be there tomorrow. Anyways that was the only part I really didn't like about the whole experience and I'll probably buy a dress from them but I still want to be able to look around. read more

Stress....Stress....Stress....is the vibe in this bridal factory. Went on a weekday afternoon with my daughter to look at bridesmaid dresses. From the moment we walked in we felt we had annoyed the staff by adding to their workload. We didn't have an appointment, but they were not swamped with customers as we were the only ones looking at bridesmaids dresses the entire time. Overall we thought many of the dresses were a bit tacky, but in fairness, their prices reflect the quality and you get what you pay for. The real issue was the poor customer service. Not sure if they were understaffed or just overworked.....but either way, I knew when I walked out that I would not be returning. read more

Unless you want your phone number and email sold to every bridal situation in the North Shore area don't go here. In addition the Shutterfly giftcard that the store offered with purchase is invaild. The sales reps were lovely, but they just don't outweight the blatant sale of your information. The fact that I went here to buy a BRIDESMAID DRESS seems to not have made a difference to this company. The fact is I am closer to buying my daughter a prom dress since I am already married. And David's just so you know - it will never be at your shop just for this horrible spamming - all of which is bridal related immediately after I bought the dress! read more
