Ok Ladies, here is the run down on David's Bridal in Danver's 1. THE DRESSES.... tons of different styles of wedding dresses to choose from, up to size 16 in one section. Then they have a whole section for plus sized women (14W and up), as well as a large selection of sale dresses. The company is an "off-the-rack" company, meaning that the wedding dress you choose is the one you get right then and there, unless they don't have your size, in which case they transfer it in from another store. This means that some dresses may have been tried on multiple times before you take it home. I didn't personally see any dress looking old, ratty or used looking. What I liked most about the dress selection is that they also have tea length dresses, which is what I was looking for. They are extremely hard to find! This is THE destination place if you want a tea length dress, they had at least 8 different dresses to choose from. I was psyched and found 'the one'. (dress prices ranged anywhere from $399-$1300 from the ones I saw.) They have a wide variety of bridesmaid dresses, anywhere from traditional to pretty racy! Some of the embellished ones I thought were on the tacky side, but to each her own. They have a large poster which shows most the dresses and their style numbers which makes it easy to remember. Also, all the dresses on the racks are also arranged with their style numbers which makes them organized. I like organization ;) David's also caries a variety of dresses for all the other young ladies and women in your wedding party. I saw an adorable 4yr old trying on a white dress and veil while I was there, she looked like a little princess and she was so happy walking all around. 2. THE ACCESSORIES ... decent selection of sparkly jewelry, a few tasteful tiaras as well as some floral headbands, which looked very pretty in a photograph they had hanging. They also have a great selection of sashes for bridal dresses. It is amazing what adding a sash does to the look of a dress! They also had a tiny selection of boleros, not much to choose from, it was mostly wraps and stuff for Winter weddings. They could use a better selection in this department, especially where most of the dresses were strapless. 3. THE SERVICE... I went in randomly one night in February. The place was packed, I mean packed, and you could see all the employees running around to help their brides. As I was perusing the place, several of the employees either smiled at me as they rushed by, or stopped to ask me if I needed help. This meant a lot to me, it means that they care about the customers. Even a simple smile... I felt valued. I made an appointment to come in the next day for a dress fitting. I was given a catalog and asked to choose which dresses I would like to try on for the fitting. (They allow an hour and a half for a dress fitting) I came in the next day and met with two very nice employees, one with whom I sat down with to create a profile and the other to help me with the dresses. They are trained quite well to upsell you their other services.. photography, videography, changing name service and some other stuff I cant remember. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything, only told about services and asked if I would like to set up another appointment to hear more about them. I had a very pleasant experience with the woman who helped with my dresses. You can always tell when someone truly enjoys their job, and she certainly did. I am in the customer service business and I know how exhausting it is to lug around all those heavy dresses, and constantly cater to the customers needs.. for an hour and a half! I felt relaxed and comfortable, it was a great experience. She always knew what I needed, need a strapless bra? let me go get you one! want some shoes to try on with that dress? sure, I'll go get you a pair. she knew what sash to try on with each dress, which shoes... and gave me her honest opinions when I asked for them. I recommend going to David's Bridal. (You will probably have to make an appointment to try on dresses, so don't expect to be able to walk in and do so). You can see all their dresses on their website, but honestly I recommend seeing them in person. The dress I chose looks so different in the picture on a skinny model than it does in person, and on me. cheers! read more

Sue Anne the manager was a lot of help, she made sure all my stuff arrived on time and was extremely pleasant to deal with. I also absolutely love my bridesmaids dresses. Very great experience all together. Will definitely be returning for future events. read more

One star because I love the dress, one because I loved my saleswoman Ramona. Those are the only two good things about the place. I came here because I was looking for somewhere I could try on dressed that weren't size 6 or smaller. After working with Ramona for a few hours my fiancee and I both found cute matching dresses for our August wedding. We ordered the dresses and waited patiently. The dresses came in and we each received an email. I called to see if we could set up an appointment with alterations for when we picked up the dresses. They let me know that I could come in whenever during the week and see someone. I thought this was strange but figured it might just be a long wait when we get there, but with no work on Wednesdays I figured it would work out fine. We show up and guess what---alterations has no appointments available today and the only thing I can do is take my dress (which is wrinkled worse than clothes that have sat in the dryer for days on end) and schedule an appointment. The next available appointment is about a month out... Again, I wait patiently for my appointment. We show up with the wrinkled dresses and get measured. My fiancee wanted a halter added to her dress so we paid $20 for the shawl that they would use for material as well as the fee to add it to the dress. Not a problem. I make sure to mention that I would like both dresses steamed. We make our appointment another month out and begin patiently waiting again. We show up to pick up our dresses. This should be simple, try on the dresses, they should be all fixed and steamed and now we can take them home. NOT THE CASE. My fiancee's dress doesn't have a halter and they are asking for us to buy a shawl so they can add the halter on now. I pull out my receipt showing that I have already purchased a shawl. They let me know that I am correct and they should have added the shawl during the MONTH that they had the dress. So my fiancee and I sit there and wait while they add the halter. Then we try the dresses on and find that the under parts of the dresses are not steamed and look just as bad as before. I let them know that they need to be fixed. Eventually everything was corrected but this was so stressful and the hoops I had to jump through were ridiculous! The process started off great with Ramona- but the alterations department needs a lot of work. read more

Awful.... STAY AWAY We ordered our bridesmaid dresses from here the woman said all the bridesmaids had the same size which is absolutely ridiculous because we all have different shapes. My dress was extremely large but the woman said not to worry because alterations are free. So I get my dress and then try to make an appointment to alter it and they're trying to make me pay $150!!!! I am going to a local tailor and giving my money to someone who deserves it If I had known that I would have gotten my proper size... Then the sales woman called me a liar and said that they would never tell me the alterations were free... Well maybe if they were trying to make a quick sale.. I will never use David's bridal and never recommend it to a friend... THE WORST read more

Bridesmaid disaster alert!! Roberta to the rescue! Purchased my bridesmaid dress in November from davids bridal. Recently had it tailored. The dress is all ready and waiting for a day of awkward pictures followed by sweaty dancing and sloppy drinking. Come to find out the dress is the WRONG COLOR. Long story for another day. Roberta answered my call. Listened to my issue. She set aside another dress in store about my size. Went to davids after work, tried it on, and miraculously it fit. Only one in the store, in that color, in my size. Saved my day and and my sanity. Thanks again! read more

If I could give this review 0 stars I would. I had an appointment for bridesmaids dress shopping and was paired to work with Ann. This stylist couldn't have been more unhelpful. Myself with my mother, sister and sister in law were on our own from the moment we walked into this zoo of a store with zero guidance or assistance from Ann. I had to find her and ask her to help point me in the right direction to shop. She did not recommend a single dress for me or my bridesmaids and instead suggested I look through a booklet of styles while we were standing in the middle of the bridal shop. She couldn't tell me which colors were what, which styles were available in the color I liked, or when the dresses would ship. I truly could not have had a more chaotic, unhelpful experience in my wedding planning events. Ann did a great job at not making me feel bridal or special during what was supposed to be a happy day. It was a complete waste of a day traveling from the south shore all the way to Danvers. I tried to give Davids Bridal a chance but after the experience I had today with that clueless stylist, I will never step foot into a Davids Bridal again and I will make it known to all my girlfriends getting married in the future. read more

Do NOT go to any David's Bridal! I am glad to see I'm not the only one really angry after going here. I went to David's Bridal because I loved (or thought I loved) one of the dresses from Vera Wang's White Collection. I made an appointment yet I still had to register when I walked in. People have no idea what they are doing in this store. It took forever to get anyone to acknowledge that I was there and the girl who checked us in was really rude. The woman helping my mother and I was nice but I felt like she also didn't know what she was doing. She was really slow to pull any dresses. She would bring me one and I'd try it on. Then I would ask for some more and I'd have to wait while she went off looking for something else and she'd return with only one dress. The second time we went (yes, I went more than once) we had the same lady and she was double booked. I spent a good amount of time sitting in a wedding dress watching her help another bride. As far as dress selection, it sucks. I guess I should have figured because it's not high end but the dresses really were terrible. I wasn't even impressed by the White Collection. Lastly, I have been getting tons of emails AND phone calls from vendors. David's Bridal gives out you contact information which is not cool. Seriously, I have at least one email of phone call from a vendor everyday. I called to complain and ask how to get it to stop and the woman said it's because I registered online. I went online to try to fix the issue but I don't see anything on there to make the emails and calls stop. Looking for a wedding dress should be fun and not stressful so do yourself a favor and don't go here! read more

I made an appointment at David's Bridal and did not have a good experience. My consultant, who had one or two other clients, did not work with me to find a dress. She paid attention to her other clients during the entire appointment; 8 out of approximately 10 dresses I tried on were pulled by the two friends I went to the store with instead. The consultant didn't even do basic things like bring me a different size of a dress, even though I specifically asked her to. Instead, she occasionally said "how are things going?" while rushing back to another client. Since I had my friends with me, the experience wasn't THAT bad, but I was extremely annoyed to discover after the fact that David's Bridal shared my phone number and e-mail with who knows how many vendors. I've been getting tons of spam e-mail and phone calls ever since. This is partially my fault because I didn't read the privacy policy online in detail before I went to the store, but I'm pissed that the default is for David's Bridal to share your information and that there was no opt-out on the form I filled out in store. I'll never go back there or recommend it to anyone - I had a MUCH better experience at Vows in Watertown later the same day. read more

This store is certainly "something else". There is no good way to describe how terrible this David's Bridal location is. Plain and simple, they're lazy, rude and unprofessional. First off, they love you when you're buying your dress. They fall all over you and push every other product on you. After you buy your dress, they could care less about your business. One time my bridesmaids and I literally waited for 20 minutes for someone to ring us up. Another time, the consultant asked my bridesmaids what size dresses they wanted. Isn't it her job go measure them?! They also messed up one my bridesmaid's shoes that were suppose to be dyed sangria. Her father went to pick them up and they were white. Hopefully they get them right before the wedding and don't mess them up like they did FIVE TIMES for my MOH.... Alterations are an absolute joke. They literally charged me $300 and did nothing. The girl, Jessica, called me to ask how to alter a part of the dress they had pinned. Aren't they the "professionals"? Either way, I answered their question and said I was going to stop by and drop off a heart I wanted sewn onto the inside. Jessica said, "Sure. Drop it off and we will try to sew it in the same day we do the alterations." Went the following day and was told it was my fitting. I said that nobody told me it was my fitting and that I was just told to drop off the heart. Jessica was extremely fresh and rude. When I said I didn't want to take the dress without trying it on with the appropriate undergarments and my mother, she said I could pick it up Friday but wasn't allowed to try it on again. After a small argument, she finally let me come back in on Friday with my mother. When I tried it on, nothing was right. My halter wasn't fixed the correct way and my chest was lumpy and not filled out because I was so "big busted" (I am the opposite, and wouldn't it be too tight if I was so "big busted"?). Jessica gave us more attitude and treated us like absolute morons. I would never, ever recommend anyone to David's. Sure, if you want to be treated like a 5 year old, go ahead and shop here. If not, take your business elsewhere. read more

I had an appointment at this location last Saturday, and after trying on only 4 dresses, I said "YES!" to my dress. It was a fun, stress-free, and memorable experience. We were lucky enough to have had the help of Roberta, who seemed to know exactly the right dresses that would look great on me. Her expertise helped to make the whole experience very enjoyable. I felt comfortable and very much at ease during my appointment. As a side note, it was April Fools Day the day of my appointment, and Roberta helped me pull an epic prank on my mom and sister. I want to thank Roberta and David's Bridal in Danvers for an unforgettable day. Thanks!! read more

Most people know what they are getting into by shopping at what is, essentially, the discount super-center of the bridal world. If you want to buy a traditional wedding dress but not spend your life savings, head to David's. That's what we did and I'm happy with the dress itself but completely unhappy with the actual experience and just about every person in the store who I encountered from November until March. I was lucky to find a dress that did not need alterations. I also did not give in when they tried to sell me item after item of "extras." My (now) wife, though, chose to purchase all of the exciting extras that she probably didn't actually need. They will work their sales magic and tap into the excitement of your wedding day. That is to be expected, of course, and they would be remiss as salespeople if they did anything otherwise. If you go in expecting them to try and sell you a tiara, veil, shoes, bra, and who knows what else, prepare yourself to say "no" unless you really want to get everything at that one place. Though, I'm sure you can find better quality and less expensive items elsewhere. They told us (in November) that we could come back "anytime" and get the garment steamed, which is included in the cost of purchase. Great! We all left, happy with the dresses purchased and excited for the upcoming wedding. My (now) wife had to have something fixed on her dress so took it there since it was to be done for free (as the flaw was on the garment when she purchased it, they directed her to return for free repair). While there to pick up her dress (in January) somebody in alterations and somebody at the register told both her and her maid of honor that they didn't need an appointment to bring our dresses in for steaming. Fast forward to early March. We were preparing for the big day. We'd reserved a car to do all kinds of pre-wedding errands, including take my dress in for steaming, which we had been told by multiple people on multiple occasions that we could do without an appointment and just bring it in! Something in me thought to call first. "You have to make an appointment for no less than two weeks before your wedding. We don't have a steaming machine here at the store." This is a paraphrase of what I was told when I called to just double check that a particular date would be OK to drop in with my dress (which we were told by multiple people on multiple days was how it worked, remember). I was treated VERY rudely. Finally, the alterations staff woman said if I brought my dress THAT NIGHT they could steam it by the date I had requested, which was just shy of their "required" two week time frame. Um, OK... So, I got a friend to drive me out to Danvers. I nervously handed over my dress and they wrote in HUGE letters (circled and highlighted on the page) the date of my wedding and the date that I would return to pick up the freshly steamed garment. They told me the steaming machine was only brought in on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I figured, great! They have two Tuesdays and a Thursday to steam my dress. I decided not to call them everyday to check on the progress of my dress. Even I knew that was a bit obsessive so I trusted the process... We got there at noon on the designated day only to discover...what?! My dress was "not ready" and we were told to return. I refused to leave, given that my wedding was three days away and I had CLEARLY indicated when I would return for the freshly steamed garment. Interestingly enough, I noticed what looked like a steamer in the corner. When she saw me look at it, the alterations staff person said she would steam it while I waited. I failed to inquire why the steamer that was allegedly only in on Tuesdays and Thursdays was there on a Wednesday. I did not demand to talk to a manager to explain that their staff has no idea what is going on and failed to fulfill what should have been a simple request. I simply sat and waited 45 minutes while two staff people came in and out of the alterations room and smirked at me, one even laughed and said, "Don't worry. Everything will be OK." Being patronized by those who are in the wrong gets under my skin and, more importantly, is NOT good customer service. Being lied to is worse. Again, if you want a pretty dress for under $500, go to David's. Just remember, what you are told might not actually be true. If you can, just buy the dress and have everything else done to it elsewhere, even if it means you have to pay to get it steamed. I've never written a yelp review before and likely will not write any others. This experience just needed to be shared since there were so many egregious wrongs. read more

David's Bridal was the first place I looked when I was shopping for a wedding dress. My appointment was on a busy Saturday morning, but that didn't stop the staff from making me feel like I was the only one in the shop! From the time I entered the store, until the time I checked out, the entire staff was upbeat, positive and friendly even though the store was a buzz with people. Hayley was a complete joy to work with. I wasn't sure of the style I wanted so I left it in Hayley's hands. The first dress I tried on was the one I ended up buying! Some how through my cryptic "yea that's nice" comments to the images in the look book she was able to find me the perfect dress. You could tell that she truly enjoys her job (and is really good at it too!) Overall my experience was wonderful. I'll definitely be back with my bridal party to find their bridesmaids dresses! read more

I had such a good experience at this David's bridal. When I came into the store at the appointment time, the lady at the front desk already printed out my Favorites from my account on their website. I was assigned to this absolutely wonderful consultant, Joy. She was not only knowledgeable but also warm & personable. I was never rushed. She brought dresses from my Favorite list one after the other. She was absolutely the best!!! Definitely request for Joy. read more

I WISH I COULD GIVE NO STARS. WHAT A DISASTER of a place. The customer service is so terrible. I dressed my sister in all of her dresses and helped pick out accessories because the employee had no idea what she was doing. She was rude. When we came back (after being told we couldn't leave and come back later when we had an additional appointment ... because that makes sense, right??) she seemed so MAD that my sister wanted to try her dress on again to see it with the bridesmaids dresses. In fact she didn't even bring the accessories or anything over. What a waste. Knowledge of dresses/sizes is non-existent. I was ordered the wrong size .. it fell off me & when I got the smaller size and tried it on the "stylist" said more than once "are you sure it fits .. even over your bottom". OKAY tell me again you think I have a big butt .. THE DRESS IN THE SMALLER SIZE FITS JUST FINE. On top of ALL this - 4 bride maids in this group HAVE BROKEN DRESS ZIPPERS. David's Bridal dresses are so cheap and poorly made. I won't go here for my wedding and if I am in another wedding I will order the dress elsewhere. Worst customer service & experience I have ever had. read more

My experience at the David's bridal in Danvers could not have been more positive! I made an appointment for a Sunday at noon (right when they open). I was told that Sundays are one of their busiest days, that my consultant would also be helping other people, and that appointments are 1.5 hours long. I appreciated the warning -- I felt mentally prepared to endure some sheer craziness! I went in there without very high expectations. I thought it would rushed and that I would be pressured to find a dress quickly and get out. It was crazy as soon as I walked in, but they checked me in pretty quickly and introduced me to my consultant, Cindy. I cannot say enough good things about Cindy! She was so friendly and positive. She gave me some great advice for tackling dress shopping to make it less overwhelming. Though she was helping some other shoppers, I never felt like she disappeared for lengthy periods of time. She was extremely attentive, yet gave me just the right amount of space to figure out out my feelings about each dress with the people I came with. I actually loved the first dress I tried on, but obviously I did not want to stop there. I tried on tons more. Even though my appointment was running longer than the 1.5 hours, Cindy kept pulling dresses for me and even suggested that I try on the first dress multiple times in order to compare it to some others that I was considering. I can honestly say I had a blast dress shopping - that is something I never thought I would say. Here is my advice for brides who want to tackle David's Bridal. 1. Make an appointment 2. Ask for Cindy! You will not be sorry. 3. Select some dresses you want to try on before you walk in the door. I did this and it was such a time saver. I can't imagine going in completely blind - it would be way too overwhelming! 4.Don't go alone, especially when you go at a busy time. Bring a family member, friend, anyone! Getting in and out of these dresses is tough, the dressing rooms get very disorganized very fast. Having people there to take care of these things for me me when Cindy wasn't there was crucial. It would have taken longer for me to get through all the dresses if I was completely alone. read more

The BEST experience ever!!! I cannot adequately express how grateful I am that I chose David's Bridal as my first stop for a wedding dress, specifically because of Mercedes (manager of alterations / My Fairy Godmother)!!! My experience began with a woman named Cindy who kindly assisted me try on several dresses with a kindness and sweetness that instantly put me at ease. When I settled on a dress, she shared a few touching words and asked me ring a bell and make a wish -- a David's Bridal ritual that moved me to tears! Then entered Mercedes! When the dress arrived, I went back to the store for my first fitting and had been feeling a little doubtful about whether I'd picked the right dress. Sure, the price was right and the brand was one I'd trusted, but I couldn't help my thoughts from drifting. Then walked in Mercedes, who made me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world! She commented on how gorgeous I was, how lovely the dress was, and how perfectly it suited me. She also made friends with and entertained my twin sister, best friend, and my Mom, and convinced us all we were in good hands...very important when you're dealing with wedding dresses! To make a long story short, after Mercedes had tailored the dress to perfection, we (the second guessers) asked her on short notice (3 weeks before the wedding) asked her to let out the waist 1.5 inches (without me being present!), because we feared that it might have been too tight and I might be uncomfortable at the wedding. She advised us to think carefully before making a decision but ultimately agreed and quickly got to work! Fast forward a couple weeks, 7 days before the wedding, I try on the dress (I live in NYC and hadn't had a chance to travel to Danvers until then), and it's too big in the waist because we foolishly asked Mercedes to let it out. On short notice (3pm on Saturday), we call David's Bridal and ask for a last minute appointment / fitting with Mercedes, who had graciously said that she would help us if we needed anything else. After 12+ fittings that day, Mercedes fit us in after her last appointment and greeted us with the same smile that she flashed the first time we met! She did not balk at the task of altering the dress (yet again!) in under two days, and did not make us feel guilty for asking her to undo and then re-do the same beautiful work that she had originally done! I was so appreciative that I nearly cried, and I walked out of the store proclaiming, "Love you, Mercedes!" to which she replied that she loved me too. Mercedes's generosity with her time and talent made all the difference in my feeling like a beautiful bride on my wedding day, and I will always remember the kindness and graciousness that she gave to me and my family. Go to David's Bridal and ask to see Mercedes, and you will feel like a gorgeous bride on your wedding day -- if anything goes wrong along the way, you'll have an amazing woman in your corner! read more

I placed my bridesmaid dresses in december. End of january they came....but the wrong dress. The lady put in the wrong code. Oops so sorry?! In march I was told one of them was in but the other two are not. I was told they will come in May. May?! My wedding is in july! Then I was also told that I need to pick up the dress that is already there or pay $15 for them to ship it. Right...first they screw up my order, then tell me to wait 6 months for a bridesmaid dress?! Then have the audacacity to ask I'd I want to buy a gown? When is thay going to come in? Next year? Jeeze. This is ridiculous. What kind of an establishment is this? Girls, go to a boutique shop, don't deal with these morons. read more

I am incredibly blown away by this location. Despite not having an appointment, I was helped right away by the staff. They knew exactly where to start out with guiding me to the shorter styled dresses which is what i was looking for. There was a great selection of different looks which was wonderful. I was set up with Stacey as my consultant and she was amazing from the beginning. She showed me all of my options and helped was never trying to push anything that I didn't want to try on. She was outstanding at helping me with any uncertainties I had. After trying on a few different selections I had picked out, she was constantly finding more options that I loved the looks of. She gave me the option of trying on a dress that was unexpected and out of the blue. I tried it on and it fit like a glove. I was sold as soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one I wanted. Stacey is an absolute asset to this company. She has such an eye for what she does and I wish her the best with everything she does in the future. Thank you again! Lauren N read more

I went into this David's Bridal and tried on a few dresses. They tried to get me to sign up for a credit card the moment I walked in the store. I hadn't even looked at any dresses yet. I specifically remember filling out paperwork and checking a box (or unchecking a box) specifying that i did not want them to give my information out to any other companies. SInce then, I have been contacted by 6 companies that told me they received my information from David's Bridal. Not to mention, when I did try on dresses, the woman helping me didn't even formally say goodbye to me! She started helping another girl with her dress before I had even taken off my final dress. read more

She had tons of recommendations and helpful suggestions. Not only did I "say yes to the dress" but my bridesmaids dresses and mother dress were all picked out in one afternoon! Thank you so much! Customer service is definitely not their strong suit here. They don't assist in making your day special. I'm unsure what the point of making an appointment was. Our bridal party had an appointment with CHRISTINE. We saw Christine maybe three times tops in the hour and a half we were there. Each of those times she came over and was rushing us to make our decision on bridesmaid dresses, then would rudely rush away to "go assist other people".... ok.... But what about us, the people who had an appointment with you? Who had questions? Who needed your assistance? Christine was of absolutely no help and it's a shame if they get commission because Christine most certainly doesn't deserve any form of credit for the FIVE dresses purchased that evening. I advise you to not only book your appointments with someone other than Christine, but somewhere else completely as this isn't the first bad experience several of us have had here. Moving forward to the next rude experience in this trip. Louanne, who ordered our dresses. When asked about payment options and if there was a payment option or deposit option, she was quick to jump down our throats and nastily told us they had to be payed in full, and acted as if our question was ridiculous- which it absolutely was not as in previous weddings we have been able to put deposits down. There was absolutely no reason to be so nasty. Another girl in our party had inquired about a seperate dress she was purchasing that was damaged, and Louanne was acting beyond annoyed that she had requested to speak to a manager regarding the price of the dress since they wouldn't be able to repair it in time for the event it was needed for. Needless to say, the staff at David's Bridal in Danvers is extremely rude and will most certainly ruin what is intended to be a special day out with your bridal party. Oh! And they're hiring, so if you're a rude, ignorant, miserable person, lacking customer service- this may be the job for you! Would love to give zero stars. read more

I've heard terrible things from bad customer service to messed up alterations to missing dresses, so I was VERY reluctant to go here. After months of dress shopping and falling in love with dresses over my budget, I finally broke down and made an appointment. My friend, FSIL, and I showed up for my appointment and were greeted by Kristin. She informed us that she had to see who was available and that we could go ahead and look around while we waited for someone to become available. I was immediately overwhelmed. There are sooo many dresses and it had been a very trying day. My consultant turned out to be Cindy W. She got me into the fitting rooms immediately, with the dresses we had pulled off the racks. The first two dresses were very nice, and I was already having a hard time deciding what I liked. I started to get stressed, but Cindy quickly calmed me down, and next thing I knew, I was having FUN. That's right, I was having fun. Cindy kept me laughing, and kept everyone included. Later into the appointment, I described two dresses that I had seen on the website that I was desperate to try on. Cindy left to get them and when she came back, one of the dresses was not one of the dresses I wanted to try on. She helped me into it anyway, and as we put it on, I told her it wasn't the one I had wanted. I figured, I'm halfway into it, might as well go with it. I stepped onto the platform and looked into the mirror. This accidental dress was stunning! After trying on one other dress, I got back into the "mistake" and a few minutes later, I knew it was the one. I shouted it out and the entire salon started hooting and hollering and there was applause all around. Mercedes from alterations came over and gave me an estimate of what the alterations would cost. She was really friendly and got involved in the celebration, even taking over camera duties. David's really surprised me. I had an awesome time; this was the most fun I've had in any part of the wedding planning process, and I am so relieved to finally have my dress! Cindy was absolutely incredible and kept me sane. This was the best shopping experience I've had! read more

SUMMARY: Customer service is terrible. Dresses are fine if you want a strapless dress. Not the best quality, but inexpensive. Do NOT give David's Bridal your information! As has been said in other reviews, they sell it to everyone in the bridal industry in the Boston area. I have gotten so much junk mail. On the plus side, I did get a 50% off coupon to Men's Wearhouse that my fiance used to buy tuxes for him and his dad. I thought I'd try David's Bridal - my cousin got a very pretty wedding dress here for a reasonable price last year. It definitely feels like a big-box store as soon as you walk in; no wonder they call it the "Wal-Mart of bridal stores". The saleslady I worked with was nice enough, but not super helpful. My church has fairly strict modesty standards, so I needed a dress with a little bit of a sleeve and no open back (or one that could be altered to fit those standards). I also didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a dress just to wear a bolero jacket over it. I realized that this would make things a little more complicated, but I have lots of friends who have been able to buy or alter dresses to fit that bill. The saleslady could not get over that fact, however. She kept complaining about how I would have to basically re-make any dress I bought, how my only option was to buy a bolero jacket to wear over it, and how many "rules" my church had. It got to the point where it was offensive. I found a few dresses that were very pretty, but they were all strapless, which is harder to alter. (Incidentally, I've read in several places that the reason there are so many strapless wedding dresses is because they are easier for designers and manufacturers to make. Think about it - it's much simpler to create a strapless dress than to worry about all the details with a neckline and straps or sleeves, and then it's cheaper to make. Anyway, if you want a strapless dress at a low price, David's Bridal is fine. I found an off-the-shoulder lace dress that I loved at La Reine bridal in Waltham and then had it altered to add cap sleeves. read more

Good selection of dresses for reasonable prices..however the organization of the store and the people working there is terrible. My sister and I waited in line for 60 minutes to check out, it was absolute chaos and every associate was just running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They woman who helped us try on dresses was pleasant and helpful, but overall I would never ever go back. We were only there for a maid of honor dress, I am so glad I bought my gown from a consignment shop and not here. The woman who was sitting at the "check in" table was miserably rude to all of the associates and all of the customers. If there was a better system in place and more organization amongst the people who work there, this would have been a way better experience. read more

Roberta at David's bridal in Danvers was amazing! I had no idea what I really wanted but she listened and ended up picking the perfect dress for me. They had a great selection but it was really the customer service from Roberta that made the experience memorable and fun. Did I mention I went on a busy Saturday? Thank you Roberta! read more

I picked up my bridesmaid dress the first week of June although it was due in May. This store isn't near me, so I decided to get my alterations done somewhere closer. Upon picking up the dress, a Vera Wang for David's - I saw how badly made it was. The back of the belt on the dress has some seams that weren't sewn correctly. The fabric is dropping in the bodice, so I have to lift the straps. The lining is crooked and tighter than the outside. I am going to end up spending over $100 for alterations. NEVER again will I buy something from David's Bridal! This was my second bad experience with this place!!!! read more

The alterations department is decent. manager on duty was terrible when I asked to exchange something. I was told immediately after purchase in Nashua is wouldn't be a problem. read more

My daughter got married 10-10-2010. She got her dress and veil at David's Bridal, and it was a very good experience. Her dress was gorgeous; everyone loved it. Mercedes did the alteration, and it was perfect---couldn't have been better. Everyone was friendly and helpful. She also got the bridesmaids' dresses there, again, it was a great experience; dresses looked great. She initially tried a couple of mail order companies, but with no luck. David's Bridal came thru again for us. We had the dress sent long-distance to the wedding location in SD. That went off without a hitch. We picked it up at a David's Bridal location there, and it arrived in great shape. The tuxes came from Men's Wearhouse. No one had a chance to try them on ahead of time, due to travel and time constraints. We also had no problem with these---perfect fit. All in all, we were very pleased, and Mercedes is super- talented in the alterations dept. I would recommend David's Bridal to anyone looking for the package wedding deal. read more

I recently bought my wedding dress from this David's location and I was very pleased! My consultant was Roberta who was AMAZING! She listened to everything my bridesmaids, moms, and I had to say. She offered suggestions without being pushy and knew exactly how to make the appointment go smoothly. She was very thorough with the appointment and never made me feel overwhelmed. She had an answer when needed and knew when to let you just have a quiet moment to yourself. My mom lives in another state so having Roberta there made it feel like I had a "motherly" figure there during the shopping experience. She is truly an asset to the company. read more

Ask for Cindy (with the short dark hair!) She is AMAZING! After a terrible experience at David's Bridal Natick, I vowed I would not buy my wedding dress there. My sister convinced me to try a different location and I am glad I did. Cindy (with the short dark hair) was absolutely amazing! She was extremely attentive and listened to what I wanted - and didn't want in a wedding dress. She didn't rush me even though I showed up without an appointment and towards the end of the evening. She paid close attention to my figure and suggested a dress I would not have chosen on my own. I ultimately ended up purchasing this dress and am very happy I did. Cindy also helped my sister pick out her bridesmaid dress- something that takes an extraordinary amount of patience. Cindy is the reason I gave this review 5 stars and the reason I am a little less stressed before my wedding. read more

Great experience on Monday with the fabulous assistance of Jodi!

I had a great experience on Sunday. Sue Ann helped us even though we didn't have an appointment. The dress we wanted in the color and size we needed would not make it until after my wedding date however Sue Ann managed to find the only one in the country in that size and color. I was so relieved and thankful. She went the extra mile. I remember her checking in on my group months ago when I picked my dress. Then she helped me out another time choosing some accessories. She's honest and helpful. She knows her stuff. read more

I went in on 3/14/21 looking at the bridesmaids dresses. I was not pleased with the customer service I had that day (inattentive, not very friendly, found myself wandering around the store because no one was helping me), and almost didn't want to go back for my bridal fitting. I went back on 3/18 and had the pleasure of working with Meredith. Meredith was AMAZING. As a plus size bride, I was certain I would not find a gown that I would love, but let me tell you... Meredith was not letting me walk out of the shop feeling anything less than a queen. She was friendly, funny, helpful, and an overall pleasure to work with. Meredith made sure I was leaving with a dress that I felt like a 10 in. You could tell that she truly loved her job and was not just in it for the sale (she actually was super honest with her opinion and didn't look at the price tag before giving her opinion). Meredith 100% made my experience the absolute best and I will be going back to David's Bridal for my bridesmaids dresses when she is working! Thank you so much Meredith! read more

The trying on dresses started out a little rough then ANGEL stepped in and help out a lot really loved her energy and personality

Called regarding appointment for veils as I had a great experience getting my dress. My appointment was today. When I arrived with my dress I was told that there would be no available rooms to try on dress to see if veil would be a match. I was disappointed as I had to pick out a veil without getting the full affect and wished I had an opportunity to try on my dress with veil read more

Just got my dress today! The staff was incredibly patient and helpful. So many beautiful styles and there was an amazing sale today. My helper was I believe a girl named Nina and she could not have been more excellent! I tried over 20 dresses and she was so patient and had so many helpful suggestions. The entire process was so easy and fun and I couldn't recommend this location more. read more

We had a great experience trying on and picking out our maid of honor dress. The consultant was attentive and pulled all the dress choices that the bride gave to us. I was impressed that they had the majority of the dresses in the brides color choice also. However, when we went to pick up the dress, a different consultant handed us a wrinkled dress and wasn't even going to offer for us to try it on. We had to ask to try it on and she showed us a changing room and disappeared. The dress was perfect. We were left to our own demise after this. We asked if they would steam the dress quickly for us (no one was in the shop) and the consultant just rudely said "we only do this after alterations" . Ok, but she didn't need alterations. I would have given the experience 5 stars but being dismissed and not completing the experience by NOT steaming the dress and dismissing us has left a bad taste in my mouth. read more
