We ordered on a Tuesday & got the special. An 18" 1 topping pizza for $11?! Talk about a steal. This thing was HUGE. I called as soon as they opened on a Tuesday. The person who took my order was very friendly. He quoted a delivery time of 45 min to an hour. No problem. I know we're not ordering from a chain so I expected a longer wait anyway. The pizza came within the hour & it was HOT & FRESH. Omg it was delicious. The pepperoni's were layered underneath the cheese & on top. So good. The delivery driver was friendly as well & thanked us for supporting them. I was very impressed with the customer service all around. Upon visiting my mother in law this past week for thanksgiving we wanted pizza and did a search and found this amazing pizzeria in Rio Rancho. My mother in law never heard of it and only lives minutes away and loved it as well that we went back another day for more. Truly a gem in Rio Rancho and definitely will go back when visiting family out there. The owners of the place are very friendly as well. All around an amazing experience. read more

How did I not find this pizza sooner? Apparently it's been in Rio Rancho for a looooong time. I've been labeled a pizza snob but I think that's just another way of saying I know what I like and this pizza delivers! (no pun intended) I hear it's the best NY pizza you'll find and I love that they have a super-size pizza in a box that barely fits in your car. So yes, the pizza is great but so are their monster breadsticks, cheesy bread and wings. Not to mention they're the nicest guys (and gals) who now offer drive up car delivery. read more

I got the calzone and the stromboli. The stromboli is not a stromboli, and I wish I had read some reviews beforehand so that I knew. They were both pretty overwhelming imo. I can't tell you how many times I've driven past this small pizza place on Southern Blvd and wondered how a place that's not well advertised stays in business with all the chain pizza places around. The Stromboli is not a Stromboli; it is a Calzone without ricotta. The Calzone was overloaded with ricotta and didn't appear to have mozzarella. The toppings inside both were not hot, the onions were not cooked, the sausage appeared raw, and the dough was not fully cooked. We had such high hopes with a 4.5 rating; hope this was an off day. Having grown up in central NJ and moving after 27 years in Western NY, my wife and I were on a quest for the perfect Brooklyn style pizza. One place that brings it's A game is Davidos. The crust is as authentic as I've found and the toppings are generous. Variety is based on your preference and every ingredient is fresh. Decided to try this place since supporting local is our focus lately. Super customer service and the guys was really friendly on the phone when I called in my order. They get the make and color of your car so they can bring your order to you when you drive up! Don't even have to worry about going inside and masking up. Pretty cool. This is our go to place when we are in or near Rio Rancho because it is absolutely delicious! We usually opt to pick up our order because it is 5 minutes away from the office but they do offer delivery. We are always greeted by a friendly and helpful voice when we call in the order and a friendly face when we pick up. Our pizza is always piping hot and loaded with toppings, the salad is fresh and huge, and the desserts (cheesecake) are creamy and amazing. Probably my favorite pizza place in RR/ABQ area. My boyfriend and I have tried at least half their menu, and there hasn't been a single dud. Davidos is a gem of a place. It makes NY/NJ quality pizza in my opinion. Having it as a leftover definitely works. I have been getting the 18 inch size which is good enough for me and they even have a 24 inch size which is awesome. This place is 20 minutes away which is well worth the drive to eat the food. We just moved to Rio Rancho and have been searching for the best pizza. The search is over! We ordered a large meatball and green chili and it was perfect. First time visiting Davidos. Recommended by a good friend that loves pizza just like us. Drove 40 minutes to get there and wasn't disappointed. Despite being busy service was extremely fast. A young man by the name of Alex took care of us and he made sure that we felt welcomed. I requested to prepare our pizza a certain way and they didn't hesitate to do it (Awesome). They weren't frugal on the toppings in comparison with other pizza parlors in the city. We didn't give them a five because it wasn't crispy and the crust had more dough than expected for a New York style pizza. But I know that if we would've requested to cook it a little bit longer they would've done it (Next Time). Recommend, better than my last pizza parlor Goodfellas. read more
