My sister and I visited this location to purchase a birthday gift for her husband. We came in knowing exactly what we wanted, but unfortunately the customer service was very disappointing. While we were browsing, every customer who entered before and after us was greeted and assisted, yet no one acknowledged us for about 30 minutes. Eventually, a sales associate--a tall woman with black hair and an accent--approached us and showed us a few items we were interested in. We ended up purchasing a ring despite the store not having the correct size because we needed it in time for the birthday. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of hospitality. While other customers were being offered water upon arrival, we were never offered any and I eventually had to ask for it myself while waiting for our gift to be wrapped. The entire process took much longer than expected. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming and inconsistent compared to how other customers were treated. In addition, the selection at this location was not particularly impressive. Unfortunately, this was not the level of service I would expect when spending so much money at the store. read more

Love the brand, unfortunately had the worst experience here as if it was in a movie or prank tv show. My fiance (now husband) and I came in one day to look for bracelets for him because I wanted to get him a wedding gift and had saw some things online but wanted to try in person (to see if they fit right and if he likes the color). Now we are young, 22 and 26 so I am assuming the sales associate just assumed we were too young to afford anything and were just window shopping. We had tried on a couple of bracelets that he liked and kept some on the side , and I think the associate was annoyed that we kept on trying a lot of stuff on and kept putting to the side , but we were going to buy them at the end we were just accumulating a pile of stuff we wanted in one purchase and for the price....you better bet we like them. The first red flag : I asked to see some cross pendants (for me and for him) since mine broke and he doesn't have one. I liked some styles but then asked about the different kinds of chains, I didn't want them too thick for me or too thin for him. I don't remember her exact wording but I remember her telling us expect to pay at least 1,200 for a good chain, which okay is not the issue here, I am asking about a specific style/characteristic about the chains. Red flag #2 She showed us some styles that he really liked such as the Cuban chains (bracelets) and I asked if she had any thicker ones to which she replied "yes but I mean they are like 10,000$" and I was shocked ? Okay so what if they are 10,000 I am asking if you have any we can see and she didn't show them to us or show where we can find those. I told her she can forget about the bracelets we had piled up and left, and I got him some gifts from Hermes instead . It's literally like the stereotype from a movie, when two young people enter a high end store and they get told the prices of things they are interested in and don't even get a chance to see them as if they are broke. I happen to work in hospitality and I would never treat a customer like that. The store lost out on a couple grand of bracelets I was going to buy and I encourage younger people to be careful shopping at this location as associate can be judgmental. Tell your associates to not judge a book by a cover and be rude to potential sales, you will never meet your daily goals. read more

Luxury shopping in Americana. David Yurman is located in the heart of the Americana. Parking is available in the structure or across the street at Glendale Galleria. DY is known for their jewelry pieces that is bold but not loud. It can be worn for casual occasions as well as dressed up sophisticated. Prices are reasonable and they offer cleaning services for their pieces. The staff there was very nice and I got the chance to work with Carlos, I had a piece on hold and he was able to help me out with that. I did also walked around the store to look at some other pieces and he was most certainly helpful. However, we went to the store yesterday and were not greeted by anyone but the security guard named "D" who was amazing! None of the associates asked if we needed assistance or provided any sort of help for over 20 minutes. I waited to request for a jewelry cleaning and finally was helped. After the cleaning I was going to make a purchase but was rushed by the associate as she was going to help another customer who was of a specific ethnicity that felt very disrespectful. I love David yurman and have many pieces...and had even come to this location years ago to purchase my husbands wedding band-but this location yesterday wasn't it for me and it's rude salesman who was scamming me for my earring repair. I needed a pair of earrings I purchased a couple months ago repaired. I also wanted to look at new pieces to add to my collection so I was excited to come inside the store. Now the DY website clearly states [We take into consideration "time owned" as well as "condition received" when evaluating a piece.] The salesman with the salt and pepper hair yesterday whose name I didn't catch didn't even pick up the pair to look at to do any evaluation told me it's a flat rate of $110. I mentioned that it hasn't even been a year and I spent a pretty penny on these earrings to have to splurge out $110 on a pair I've barley used and if he could accommodate me at all. I wasn't expecting it to be free but also not that price considering these earrings were still new and I spent over $400 on them a couple months ago. I had also just checked on their website and noticed they didn't mention the flat rate so that's why I was annoyed because I knew he was lying to me. On top of over quoting me for a repair he mentioned it would take up to two months which is fine but when you're charging a premium price I expect premium service. I took the due diligence and called corporate and the mention of a "flat rate" doesn't exist either so do yourselves a favor and just contact corporate directly if you need a repair because the salesman here clearly will just scam you. I'd rather contact my representative who helped me in NY moving forward who gave me impeccable service to make my purchases and corporate for repairs moving forward or try the rodeo drive location to hope I get a better experience. read more

Why is DY in-store customer service so bad? I love David Yurman jewelry, and have given and received several pieces. But take my advice and shop online, because the in-store customer service is awful and will leave you feeling frustrated and angry. I've been to several different DY stores around Los Angeles, and I can tell you it's not unique to one store, though the Glendale and Rodeo Drive locations seem to be the worst. They treat you as if you are annoying them and putting them out by attending to you, and can be very patronizing. It's kind of inexplicable because I try to be polite and not provoke them, but it doesn't help. Every in store shopping experience is stressful and demeaning, I am a Hispanic woman so I don't know if that may be contributing, but will give them the benefit of the doubt. Douglas Gordon was amazing to work with while my wife and I were shopping for rings. He was very courteous and patient with us. He also didn't treat us like second classed citizens pulling back jewelry every time we wanted to look at and compare different pieces, especially how they would look on my wife's hand. We never once felt pressured to buy anything and Douglas was genuinely looking to see if he could help us find what we wanted. After a while, my wife and I finally decided to buy a ring. Douglas did everything he could to find out answers to our questions. Even after the purchase, he followed up with us occasionally to keep us updated on our order and when it would ship out. He also called before the ring was shipped to ensure we would be there to receive our purchase. I visited the store after purchasing a gift for my mom weeks earlier and the store manager recognized me and asked how my mom liked her cable bracelet. That special touch goes a long way. David Yurman pieces are high quality and beautiful. The cable bracelets are timeless and look nice paired with a watch, with other bracelets, or alone. The silver does not tarnish. Not for the store, but for online I've been trying to buy a bracelet online. I have bought numerous pieces from you in store. You guys said your system flagged me as fraud because of my name and credit card. The guy I talked to, named Michael, wasn't too much of a help. Without saying I am fraud, he was pretty much saying I'm fraud, even though I am the actual person who's ordering. He said because of the results I couldn't order from you guys again. I called my bank, as he suggested, and they said everything was perfectly fine on my end. They said you guys didn't even try running the card because nothing came through on their end to approve. My bank said it was the third party verification you use that was saying it's fraud, even though everything matches up (I went over all my information with them). That third party verification didn't even try to contact my bank to double check. For spending almost $2,000 on a single bracelet I would hope to get better service and for this issue to be resolved. I have an issue with the service I received here! I came in to buy a gold chain for my husband's birthday and I looked at multiple options. Sales lady was very accommodating and help with every request. My concern was that he won't like it and I will have to bring it back. When I asked for a return policy they told me it was only 2 weeks and chain has to be not worn (da.... I always knew that... actually I had never returned worn stuff, but anyways). Lady offered to give me a extra week to return just Incase. I liked the service so I figured I will buy. My chain was 18 karat gold coating $5900 after tax. I pain in full and left The birthday boy tried it on and though that the chain was not as big as he wanted and for that money he could get a better longer one...so I took it back. Came to the store my sales lady asked me to wait. In 5 min store manage comes out with my chain and one more similar chain and says that what I was returning quote: "DOES NOT MEET David Yurman's STANDARDS!" I replied that it was what they sold me and it's painful to learn that the chain I bought for almost 6k does not look to David Yurman standards for an experience store manager! I also added that I will not take any accusations and that she has to refund my money. She kept talking about how chain looks worn and basically trying to not accept it. I thought that it was inappropriate and insulting! I could have bought David Yurman product in Bloomingdales with my store AMEX and they would give me a long time to return! Bloomingdales never asked me why I am returning gold and they make my experience pleasant! Long story short I will never go back and I would not recommend to shop there unless you know you will keep the merchandise. They will ask you a million questions, try to intimidate and embarrass you for returning. On March 3 I walked in to David Yurman here in Glendale and bought their new bracelet for my brothers birthday which was 1300 due to the size being small I ordered another one and paid full price on that as well Julie which was the representative that promised it would be delivered within max 2 to 3 days finding out a week later it was never even delivered. I called in requesting what's going on with the bracelet the whole purpose was to be a surprise that's why I bought want to present and the other one for my brother size and I paid full price on both of them they told me that someone purchased at the same time I purchased it two weeks passed by. I was promised by Julie oh I'll make a right I'll take care of you blah blah I didn't know what that meant but I went in there and bought two bracelets in 10 minutes paying $2600 I didn't get any kind of special treatment. I was going to wait off this review and read and see how it was going to be played out as a customer for first time shopping at David Yarman and I am not happy and I don't think I'll ever shop at this store ever again my experience.
