What a great business! Brought my Omega watch to fix after another place opened it to change the battery and lost one screw. Then said it would take a week to fix it all together so I just took now broken watch back and brought it to Joseph! He fixed everything literally in 5 min including new battery and replacing the lost screw. Such a sweet professional and responsible person! Thank you so much! Highly highly recommend him read more

I found Joseph Watch & Clock on Yelp, and I'm glad I did! Armand was such a cheerful man and completely professional. He changed out the batteries for two of my watches with the speed and precision of a NASCAR pit crew member. His father opened the business, and it's been serving the community for a few decades now! Feels great to support small family businesses, especially during this time of Covid. They offer a one-year warranty on the batteries, and I'd happily return when they need to be replaced again. read more

Joseph Watch and Clock - Storefront - Watch Repair Near Me - Glendale, California

Armand was the repairman on my brother's 300 year old grandfather clock, and now he is the repairman on mine. My clock had been ruined by Greg from The Clock Specialist - he had charged me hundreds of dollars to weld a broken hand which he welded on crooked, so that the time chimed at 4 minutes after the hour. He wouldn't make it right. Armand came in, serviced the clock, and somehow straightened the hand within 20 seconds of accuracy. Pretty amazing for a 300 year old clock! Old school knowledge, above and beyond service, and his prices are more than fair. So lucky to find him! read more

Armand serviced my 1963 Datejust, and did a great job. His service was prompt and reasonable. The watch is running great. Highly recommend!

I may have had a magical nostalgic experience. I when to Joseph Watch & Clock to find a watchband for my wristwatch, that was decomposing. I tried Target -they only sell Iphone watchbands (whatever that is) Then I went to CVS and they were unsure of what a wristwatch was. They asked if it was an app for a phone. By this time I'm melting into myself. Next, I'm thinking ...maybe wrist watches don't exist anymore. Sad. I tell my Friend and he tells me about a watch repair shop in Glendale. The man there was very nice. He was understanding about the need for a wristwatch AND how important it is to have a band to hold it on the wrist. Anyways, he had a selection and we were able to fine a band that worked with my watch and budget. I'm hoping that this review will alert others to his services and possibly keep him in business so others can have their watches fixed. read more

I just went for a battery/wristband change. I'll tell you that visiting this store is a joy. You will be very happy with the service.

A couple of weeks ago, my husband spotted this clock in a pile of junk outside of someone's house. It's all wood and has a little "Made in the USA" stamp on the face. The hands were attached with a piece of scotch tape and we figured it needed to be repaired. But it was so freaking beautiful, it seemed worth finding out what that entailed. I popped in a new battery and the hands sort of stuttered, but didn't keep time. I took it to a clock repair place here in Silver Lake. The guy fiddled with it and told me it would cost $125 (!!) to fix. That seemed steep so I held off for a second opinion. Today I took it to H G Joseph Watch & Clock Service Center in Glendale where the proprietor, a lovely man named Armand, looked it over and said he'd tighten the "movement" and bolt down the hands for $15. He had me take a seat and said he'd fix it WHILE I WAITED. I sat in a comfy chair, tapping my toes to old Blue Eyes singing "Fly Me To The Moon" and Harry Connick Jr. doing "It Had To Be You." Armand emerged from the back room and the clock was FIXED! And get this, he said that if it stops keeping time, to bring it back, he'll refund the $15, and charge me $35 to replace "the movement." It's hard to believe there are still reputable shops like this around, though they are clearly a dying breed. Please take your watches and clocks to Armand to fix! He's kind, honest, and excellent at his craft. I'll be returning with some watches soon. read more

Ok so like always I yelped the best reviewed for the best place to get my watch fixed. And like always it didn't let me down. I came to Joseph's shop and got greeted very well. I explained to Aram I think his name was that I need a battery and my watch fixed. He gave me a great price. I also had told him that my watch was too tight. He looked at his watches and had the same one in display. He told me it would be a bit more. Since I was in a big hurry I told him I would skip on that. He told me that it would be done in 20min. I came back and not only was my watch back and running and fixed but he had put the extension to my watch for no charge!!! Wow he was just the best. Very friendly and felt welcomed!! I recommend 110%. Great prices Great service Great location Best place to get your watched fixed! 1 year warranty on battery read more

Joseph Watch and Clock - New battery, fixed 1 o'clock dial, New excretion to fit better, and 1 year battery warranty for the best price!! Very affordable - Watch Repair Near Me - Glendale, California

stopped by this spot after hearing my local watch repair shop was closed. i had a Victorinox watch that was dead and a Diesel watch that needed repair due to a broken band. The service for the battery change was speedy and only $12! (some other Victorinox licensed shops were charging $100+!). As for the band repair, it took some time...but the turnaround was only a few hours and cost about $25. Overall, the service was top notch and friendly. I highly recommend this spot if you need a battery replacement for a watch or for minor repairs. read more

Joseph Watch & Clock is the only place I'll ever take my watches from now on. Armand is very helpful, very talented and skilled, and reasonably priced. I had a vintage watch that no longer worked. I took it to a jeweler prior to coming here, and he tried to charge me $125 to fix my watch. I then brought my watch to Armand, and he charged me $10 to fix it. I couldn't believe it. Thank you, Armand! read more

Without a doubt, 5 stars! I brought my mid century clock in to get fixed because it wasn't working and also because some of the numbers had been scratched off (i had purchased it at an antique store) and Joseph fixed the clock and the numbers! Really happy with the end result! :) read more

I was looking for a place to get a watch fixed and I found this shop. My issue wasn't battery related so I didn't want to go to some random place. I went on their website and they had my brand listed as one of many that they specialize in. Seeing this I felt confident to bring it in. It's a one man shop and the guy running it came across as an honest person who knows what he's doing. He fixed my watch and it's been a few months and it is working just fine. He also provides a one year warranty which I think is great. read more

Armand is great! Very nice and has reasonable prices. I highly recommend.

For many years, I searched to find a clock repairman to fix my father's Dunhill desk clock (9v battery auto winds it). I found Joseph when i was working in Glendale. He said he wasn't sure he could fix it as no documentation exists for the clock. He said he'd work on it in his spare time. I'd check in every few months and finally he found a way to get my family heirloom to work. I now use it with pride on my desk and am telling everyone its story.... read more

Had an issue with the dial on my watch, so my husband took it in when it got jammed and I couldn't change the time. I thought it would be a simple fix, but it ended up needing new parts and an overhaul. I appreciate that they were friendly and accommodating, and able to fix it in five days even during the holidays. Only downside was the cost. I understand that the parts are more expensive for a Cartier watch, but we were not given an explanation on how much were spent on costs and how much was spent on service. With that said, I'm not sure how much this type of service costs so I can't really judge if $250 is a good price or not. Most importantly though, they got the job done, they were very professional, and everything works perfectly now. I'm glad we now have a reliable spot we can go to if something comes up. Thank you guys! read more

I think this is the only place I can find in Glendale that has review. I find his work pretty good and effective. Price makes sense. The only time I felt awkward was when my second visit where I asked him to adjust the chain of my new watch and he charged me $10 for doing it. I stopped coming back to this place for a while after that... but I got over it and finally came back again recently. Everything seemed to be okay with my last visit, and I started to use his service again. read more

A mom and pop shop. If you blink you miss it. Ring the doorbell to get buzzed inside. A little bell rings as you enter. Oh look at that! It's like you walked into the shop of a magic watchmaker in Warsaw, Poland except... wait...is that...K-Earth 101 bumping loudly over the loudspeakers? Yup. Yup. It is. Definitely not Poland! A bald man enters from a back room and greets you with a smile. You show him three watches, all dead, in desperate need of resurrection. He has the batteries that will give them breath again and it will only take him 10 minutes to bring your watches back to life. He examines their dire lifeless state carefully and quotes you a fair price for each, then makes you a deal for resuscitating all three of them. You agree. He takes your little ones to the back and you pace around and browse the merchandise behind the glass cases, you stare at the old wooden clocks on the walls and the watches on the vitrines. He returns and your babies are once again ticking louder than ever. He reminds you that they should be healthy for at least a year and he gives you card that he signs as a one year guarantee. You pay him and wish him a happy holiday. He buzzes you out of the mom and pop shop and you get into your car parked right outside at a 30 minute meter you didn't bother to put money into but you got lucky non piranhas dropped a ticket on your windshield. It's good you could see your car through the clear glass windows inside Joseph's Watch & Clock shop. read more

I was in the area grabbing some Thai (there's like 3 Thai restaurants around it). I happened to stumble into this great little shop called Joseph Watch and Clock- They had a lot of Seiko and vintage awesome watches as well as these very cool 3d post cards. And of course, the clocks! Upon further looking into this company, I found that Armand's father originally opened the business and gave you that old-world care. That, gimme a minute and I'll have it fixed right up for you- FOR A FAIR PRICE care! This is something all too often I've seen washed away in the decaying of business morals and overall service in America. Armand however continues this practice day-to-day. I'm a watch collector and have many complex pieces that I only trust to Armand from here on out. So many pieces have been damaged by careless hands- Armand takes care of your stuff and makes it better than new. Just my first time in there I saw a woman come in who'd been there obviously many times for battery replacements and other general services, she told me how great he was and you could see the bond he forms with his customers. Definitely a great place to buy, because you know he'll take care of it and you- and not rip you off. An even better place to get repairs done, as it will not take a lot of time and it will be easy on the wallet. This is my GO-TO when I'm in town. read more

I stopped in this shop to have a watch fixed. He saved me the time by referring to someone who fixes watches as he fixes clocks.

I work a few blocks away and stumbled on this place last year while trying to get my watch fixed. I bought a watch that had to get links removed, but the guy at Nordstroms who adjusted it didn't do a great job, so the watch kept falling off unexpectedly. I was worried that it would keep falling off, but when I came here, they took care of me and it hasn't fallen off at all. The repair was really fast and inexpensive. I just came here today because my boyfriend's watch was missing the metal part on the strap that connects it to the timepiece. It cost $5 and took less than 10 minutes to get fixed. Also, he was super friendly. This will always be my first stop, when it comes to anything watch or clock-related. Thank you! read more

Great service, knows what he's doing and thinks outside the box where others might not (with the customers approval of course). I have not been to that many watch repair shops but out of the ones I have been to, this place is number 1. Will be coming back and recommending to friends as well. A++++ thank you for the great service read more

Open on Saturdays till late check. Fast friendly service, check. $9 for a Bulova battery replacment w/1yr warranty, check. I've been to multiple battery replacment stores in the Galleria & always had me come back in 30-1hr...here, I was in&out in 4min and much cheaper! I found this little gem thanks to not wanting to deal with the insanity of finding parking at the Galleria on a Saturday afternoon. This'll definitely be my go to spot from now on anyday! read more

Amazing customer service. I had no change for the parking meter so he gave me a quarter. Then he replaced my watch battery quickly even though he was on the phone with another customer, and he didn't try to sell me additional watch services I didn't need. Then he gave me a discount because I was short on cash! And I didn't even bat my lashes. I found this place on Google because it was the closest place and I needed my watch fixed quickly. I had no idea it had such good reviews from other people. So my feedback is completely unbiased. read more

Armand is the best. Just go there and you'll see why he is everyone's favorite watch maker. I'm definitely a customer for life.

Armand took care of my favorite watch the minute I showed him the issue. He told me what might be wrong with it and told me a couple of options of what he can do with it and how much it will cost. But first! He said he wants to open it up and see if his deductions are on point. Free of charge! Like a doctor he checked out my watch thoroughly first before making a recommendation. He took it to the backroom and tinkered with it. I was ready for him to tell me that I have to leave my watch there for a couple of days because a part had to be replaced, just like what Fast Fix Al in the Galleria told me, and what they wanted to do without even checking my watch! Anywayz, Armand came out of the back after about 10 mins and told me he was able to fix it and tighten up the long hand of my watch. I asked if anything is broken or need replacing, he said no. He recommends me not banging it hard on a surface for it might loosen the hand again. But he said not to worry, he told me just bring it back and he'll replace a part if necessary. And he'll credit whatever I paid today towards the total of that future repair. Absolutely outstanding! I happily paid this man of very pleasant features, and with a smile on both our faces we shook hands. Ain't something like that rare nowadays? I almost felt like I was in Main Street Disneyland (maybe even better). Anything about clocks, watches, jewelry, antique and electronic repair, go seek Armand's services hands down, totally and highly recommend H.G. Joseph Watch and Clock to ANYONE! WOW! Prompt, friendly and professional service in a little mom and pop store! I brought my watch in for a new battery and the man who helped me was so nice and courteous! He even took the initiative to correct the date and month dials, which were overlooked by the last guy who replaced my battery (it was a watch repair shop in the mall). I hope this shop sticks around because I plan to keep this as my new go-to spot for repair and battery replacement service for my watches.
