I dropped off two watches to have the batteries replaced. The gentleman with the long hair charged me $10 to have the battery in my Casio Duro replaced and $15 for the battery in my Tissot. He clearly overcharged me simply because the Tissot is a better quality watch. When I picked up my watches I noticed he broke the Casio's hands, the second hand wouldn't turn because the hour and minute hands were bent. After watching a YouTube video it's clear he incorrectly replaced the battery and damaged the movement. The watch is now trash. My Tissot watch worked fine but the next morning I noticed the glass was fogging up. This dude didn't tighten the case back, I was able to twist it by hand. Ridiculous, I was so angry. I purchased the tools required to replace a watch battery on Amazon and tightened the back on my own. I'll never in a million years go back to this hack and strongly encourage and recommend you find a professional to work on your timepieces. I can't believe he's still in business. I hope people in need of watch repair read this and go elsewhere, please heed my warning. You will be sorry and end up with scrap metal. Terrible, rude, condescending. Stood right in front of one of the owners as he attended someone. I definitely understand there is a need to wait. But as soon as I asked him "should I come back later?" He states condescendingly "leave your stuff there I tell you how long and how much" with a tone I didn't appreciate. I know costumer service. Brought two watches in to get their batteries replaced. I paid 14 dollars. I stop one watch to preserve the battery and use the other one for work. Within 2 months the battery on the first watch dies and so I move onto the second watch and within one month THAT battery dies. 14 dollars is a lot to spend when the battery doesn't last that long. The guy must use old or cheap batteries. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I will stay away from this place if you need battery replacements for your watch. They are cheap but 2 ot the watches I replace broke. The watch arms on one got loose and one completely stopped working even he replaced the battery again. And he wanted me to leave the watch for repairs and there will be charges to re attach the arms which he broke in the first place. This happened more than a year ago but I feel that I still have to write the review just in case. read more

I was told I would hear from someone by Friday to tell me if they could fix it. I called the following Monday to follow up since no one had called. The woman that answered the phone said the watch was being worked on. I finally got in touch with them 2 weeks later to find out "its a work in progress". I directly asked if they'd be able to fix it?? I got a call back later on saying, "we're unable to fix this". This was part of a gift for my father for Christmas. This place has fixed, sized, polished, restrung, dipped, and engraved virtually all the jewelry I own. They are soooo good and so inexpensive. They've repaired things other, "fancier" jewelers said couldn't be done. They even fixed a silver fork from my dearly-departed grandmother's set and made it good as new. I just love them, and am so grateful! (They just fabricated a ring for a close friend and she's thrilled!) They do it all - costume stuff and precious, new or vintage. Jack is the best watch guy I've known. We followed him when he moved shop from Pasadena, and there's no reason to go to anyone else. His prices are the best, he's honest, and takes pride in his work. I took my Tag-Heuer watch to a shop in Pasadena that had just won an award as best jeweler/watch shop in the area. They said the band couldn't be fixed and I should spend a couple hundred dollars on a new band. Jack fixed it, charged $35.
