David was very upfront and fair about his pricing and when he'd be available to help me change a patio lock. This job was not a small task because it required drilling into patio fence which was metal. We had a Baldwin front door lock set that was not operating properly after reinstallation after painting. David arrived as scheduled and diagnosed and corrected the problem. The lock set appears not to have been properly installed to begin with.....10 years ago. David was extremely thorough and meticulous in the repair. He corrected the original installation and the lock is working better than it ever has in the past. I was impressed with David's knowledge and attention to detail. I guess that's really what we would hope fore in anyone but Dave's got it in spades when he came out to rekey our house he didn't gouge us on price but gave us an overly fair price (was expecting multiple 100's of dollars and came out to even 100.) I've been in Washington a minute and never once have I been able to say I felt like I got a bargain, but Dave fit the bill. He had informed me that he had an appointment right before mine and could be late but he ended up arriving within his ETA. Once he arrived, he examined my locks and gave recommendations on what to do. He was able to reuse some old keys for the interior and made new ones for the exterior doors. Once again David the Locksmith comes through-Snowing and a SUV Caddy that locked with key in the car??? USAA says 2 hours to get a locked dog out of a locked car-I call David the Locksmith and within 20 (Yes 20) minutes the door is open and dog is safe. We called David to install a new front doorknob, and he asked if we were replacing it because the door wouldn't open from the outside. We said yes, and he said he could probably use a 7 dollar replacement part to fix it (instead of the 120 dollar doorknob we had purchased). We said sure and when he arrived he used the different part so we were able to return the doorknob. We also asked him to rekey a couple of our locks and he did I one and taught us how to do the other so that we would be able to do it by ourselves in the future. read more

I foolishly lost the keys to two offices in my suite. David came within two hours and re-keyed both, saving my productivity and sanity. David was exceedingly professional in setting his fees and doing the work for us. He was even kind enough to try to fix the lock for a cabinet. While it ultimately could not be fixed, David declined to charge for the attempt. Prior to finding David the Locksmith that morning, my calls with other locksmiths were frustrating - I couldn't to get a straight answer as to the total fees and kept getting miscellaneous charges added on when I thought we had come to a price.
