However,…read more I think, especially for me as a woman, they placate you simply because of your age and perhaps they think you are a hypochondriac. .So, I was totally blown away, astonished and every wonderful adjective you can think of when I met Dr. Resnick for the first time. He was kind, considerate, I love that he smiled, he took every bit of time and more with me and that I appreciated. Sometimes they rush you out the door without really understand what is wrong with you. Not in this case. Even though I had a visible rash Dr. Resnick was honest enough to tell me that there were so many different kinds you can't always be sure. I was okay with that. He gave me Prednisone, which worked thank G-d, but it's when I told him that I had not slept in days that he gave me something to take so I could sleep. It was the best nights sleep in months and months. THANK YOU DR. RESNICK!!! I recommend him most highly and if I could give me a hundred stars I would. If you want to feel like your medical needs are being met, go to Dr. Resnick, I promise he will not fail you. He's like an old-fashioned doctor, you remember those they cared, in a modern world. We had an appointment that I missed bc I woke up late, I called to see if they would still see us unfortunately the Dr. Was tightly booked but I was able to get an appointment with the APRN (his nurse-Debi) just a few hours later she was attentive kind concerned and explained everything, that my son who's 17 is going thru bc of his ear infections. A condition he has had since birth. This is our 1st time with this Dr. And wished we had him years ago. He was given a hearing test, Ears checked through a microscope and that's how this visit was everything for me felt like it was done using a microscope. My insurance company , connecticut cross blue shield then informed me that the audiologist who performed the hearing test , was not in my preferred doctor list. Now , I know it's not their job to find out if i'm covered but I did present them with an insurance card before I got service. As far as I know and has always been my experience in the past, I pay my copay and that's it. Two or three weeks or perhaps a little longer , I received another bill. I just called the billing Department , and they couldn't be bothered to answer my call. The phone answers Billing Department and that's it. With a deal like that , I have zero confidence in this business.

I scheduled the appointment for immunology, not allergy, yet the office was confused from the start--sending me instructions for allergy testing I had already declined and even texting me to stop my allergy medication for testing I wasn't scheduled for. I arrived to more allergy paperwork and was brought back 25 minutes late, then left waiting again. Dr. Hugh came in about 35 minutes late, dismissed the lab work he requested ("a book"), didn't review it, and asked me to restate the reason for my visit even though it was clearly written on top. His exam lasted seconds, followed by the comment "You aren't as good as you think." He contradicted my established specialists, insisted my allergies weren't controlled despite zero symptoms, claimed I had "congestion" despite a highly successful nasal surgery three months prior, and said my asthma was "on the edge of a cliff" despite great pulmonary testing. He attributed past tonsil swelling to "silent reflux" without asking about my medications and recommended an endoscopy for a "possible pre‑cancerous condition," which felt unnecessarily frightening. To top it off, he tried to schedule allergy testing I had repeatedly declined, saying I "had to" do it and should stop my antihistamine for five days or longer "as an experiment." I left feeling dismissed, belittled, and unheard, and I will not be returning to Dr. Hugh. I very much wish I could give 0 stars, but 1 star is only because the receptionist at check out was so kind to me.

My ten year old had to establish having an allergist since we moved to this area. Dr Hugh would not listen to the advice received from the other allergists we have had (and liked) in the past six years. He dismissed everything they had told me to tell the new allergist when we moved. Then, he told us that we should do another skin test to show what she is allergic to. We already knew for the past six years what she is allergic to, but decided he needed to have his own results and went with the testing. This is the first skin test that she had done that was utterly disorganized. I still have NO idea of how the person applying the sticks actually knew what they were. There weren't any real markings. Here is the winning detail of why a 1 star was rated..... When the Dr looked at my daughters arm for the results, he just said in an "I told you so" voice that he predicted these results. Things that she has NEVER shown signs of being allergic to, he told us she was. At the conclusion of this most unpleasant visit, he did not even wipe my daughters arm off!!!! Little bumps and red welts plus all the pen lines of where the stick was..... left on her arm to leave the office. I asked him to clean it off, and he said he didn't have the time to do it and his nurse was busy with another patient! I was FUMING! So, I said "FINE!" and went to the front desk to check out and saw she had alcohol wipes. I got a couple of those and wiped her arm off. Used the bathroom and scrubbed her arm with soap. Then drove to CVS and got antihistamines for her. This was such an awful visit, and I am warning everyone else that goes to this practice at what an awful experience this was for us. If you have seen him, and had a good visit, how lucky for you. If you haven't been here, just beware!
