I absolutely hate that the new optium.. the name looks like optium the cable company n they even used the same color n font. Second the place has way to many places to sign in, its just confusing. I went to the old building and it still says obgyn 3rd floor on the sign by the elevator so I went n the lady was so rude telling me in a nasty voice that it moved 2 years ago to a different building. If 0 stars was an option I would have chosen it. Optum has billing errors, dismissive doctors, and prepare to waste 40-60 minutes of your time trying to get in touch with them by phone. Their online portal is also inadequate and does not reflect all activity or payments. Overall I would give Optum a 0 score and there's not one thing about them that I could recommend. read more

I recently accompanied a friend . along with my service dog . We were suspiciously greeted with suspicious questions and was told I could not stay in the reception area which was totally empty My friend suffers from severe anxiety Which was increased by the procedure she was about to have . I told the receptionist that I waned to wait in the reception area. For my friend she got up and went inside and returned with another women that told me I had go down the hall to a conference room. After being treated like this I went down and outside I was so upset for my friend I know we are going through tough times but there' is no need to make it worse. I recently called to get an appointment for a physical with Dr. D. Garb, who I had seen in the past. I was told if I hadn't been there in over 3 years (My last exam was 4 years ago.), I was considered a new patient, and Dr. Garb was not accepting any new patients. I ended up scheduling an appointment with another CareMount doctor in another town a few months out. I would have to wait several months more to even see any doctor in the Poughkeepsie offices. I am a senior citizen now, and feel that I am in good health, but also have concerns and questions about my health. Hopefully I won't have any serious health issues between now and my appointment. Also, I have not been able to access my patient portal and have to call to the office to find out why. Other doctors, dentists, veterinarians, send out reminders to patients for their physicals and bloodwork. Apparently Caremount does not do this, but it might be worth considering to alleviate scheduling problems. Overall, I am very displeased with Caremount. Appointments are scheduled well into the future, waiting times in the reception area are ridiculous, as is the waiting time to receive test results or a call back. My husband and I have received bills for procedures, obviously sent to us before they were even submitted to Medicare. This practice seems very disorganized. I am keeping my appointment in the fall for my physical, but will be looking for a new physician at another practice in the meantime. read more

My significant other has been living with chronic pain, we had an appointment with a neurologist that was made over a month ago. Then we get a call the day before the appointment, to tell us That we cannot come into see the doctor because it would be considered a second opinion since we have already seen another neurologist in the group. The doctor would only be seeing new patients on this day that we had scheduled. we obviously argued the case because of the pain issue and the fact that we did not like the other neurologist. We were then referred to a patient advocate to try to help who never even returned our call. Seven specialists later, no diagnosis but even worse, no one cares, which is obvious by this behavior. Caremoumt medical is a poorly run, poorly organized, profiteering Assembly line. Caremount makes Doing business with them incredibly difficult. The administrative staff Is dismissive, and uncooperative. The Doctors spend less than 10 mins With each patient, The same lab work has to be done twice, because Caremount doesnt share your medical data, or test results with the hospital, that performs your surgery . A Caremount team member required me, to endure a treadmill stress test, just two days, before hip replacement surgery. The entire experience would have been Comical, if it weren't so, expensive, inconvenient, frustrating, and painful. The only shining star was my surgery. If you call regarding a bill - you will get a recording indicating a 24 - 36 hour call back and a boast saying that 80% of callers receive a call back within this time period. If you call to leave a message at the doctor's office, you can wait forever and they also promise a call - mine never came. Think of the implications - what if you needed a colonoscopy? If Caremount doesn't invest in sufficient phone bank employees, do they invent in sufficient time and diligent people to clean the equipment known to be rife with disease if not properly sterilized? Seriously, something is wrong with this operation. I feel sorry for the doctor's trapped in this corporation. And the patients. Do they hire the best support staff? read more

I tried to renew a script on Monday that had zero refills left which means the pharmacy had to call the doctor's office in New Paltz, which it did twice with no results. I tried to call the doctor's office and have been on hold for 54 minutes. The used to be called CareMount which usually receives "1" rating. They have now changed their name to Optum, perhaps thinking you might confuse it with "optimum." I like my doctor but that's it! read more

Since my experience in 2016, communication has improved greatly. I have since had positive experiences with several doctors and their staff: Dr. Lewis in Radiology, Dr. Saychek in Ob/Gyn, Dr. Guzzardi in Internal Medicine, and Dr. Rojas in Surgery were all blessings to me over the years, and I will always be grateful for the care they provided. read more

Can't even get through the phone; just sickening music over and over and over again with a stupid recording how important we are. Go to the patient portal to access quicker. In order to use the patient portal you have to call them and you get the same disgusting music and message. Can't reach anyone, can't talk to anyone. The worst customer service ever. read more

I made a follow up appointment for a Mammography with the CareMount medical group on Rt 9 specifically because of previous issues found, I drove all the way from Ft Meyers Florida stayed in a place for 2 days until my appointment when I want to it I was told I was in the wrong place my appointment was in Fishkill. I told the Receptionist no I was specific when I made my appointment because the prior year I had been to Fishkill and that place did not see the growth but the Poughkeepsie one had found it prior and told me to keep a watchful eye out. The receptionist told me they could not squeeze me in I would have to return 3 days later. After telling her I don't live around here that I am very upset about this and there failure to try to fit me in I would not return on Friday (it's a 1 1/2 hr ride from where I stay in NY) as I was leaving her an another Patient were laughing at my predicament. I tried contacting the CareMount administration but have heard nothing from Dr Hayworth or there quality management woman whom I also contacted via phone having to leave a message. I was there Patient back in the 80th until they misdiagnosed a growth in my adrenal gland and one of there Maternity Drs almost cost my Son,s live when he was born. I gave them another chance but I will not be treated like dirt and laughed at by there staff for there screw ups. Don't use this group if you want quality care, as they do not give it. There good Drs left for reasons and the new once push you to use specialists even if you just need follow up care like MRI instead of letting you get the MRI and if there are changes than you go to the specialists. It's a financial income group now not Patient care. Look for a private Dr who cares. read more

Caremount has become unmanageable. Impossible to get an appointment with your Dr. Now they offer phone and video Dr visits for $99.00. I can see a Dr in person for $25.00, a specialist for $45.00. They say this an additional benefit. It benefits them, lessens the volume of patients they see, but they charge you double. The doctors are good, but the service is terrible. Trying to talk to someone on the phone is also impossible. read more

Where do I even start? First off if you need to get a message to your doctor it's impossible! After hitting a million prompts, you get to speak to someone who needs to direct your call to the appropriate department. They then put you over to either a recording, or the recording you just went through! You then go through more prompts and get someone else who has to again try to direct your call to the appropriate department. Then you are on hold for several minutes and no one ever picks up. All the while listening to a recording how Caremount gives you the personal attention you need! My husband is very sick. His doctor told him if he needed anything at all to call him. Well we have an emergency going on, not a medical emergency, but need to speak to him or his nurse asap. HA! We cannot get through to anyone! Just recording after recording. They give you ONE number and only one number. So this doctor is on Columbia St. where our phone call needs to go. But that one phone number is to the Oakwood Commons office. They don't even know who this doctor is! I am upset and dissolved into tears from the frustration and urgent need! This practice is way too big and too chaotic. Now the billing issues! Every time I go I pay my co-pay yet every single time I get a bill for it. My husband too. I mentioned it in their office one day and another patient agreed and said she is pretty much fed up too. Our primary who broke the news to my husband over the phone!!! Has not called once in three weeks to see if he is ok or needs anything. This place should get a one from me but there are 2 doctors we know of that really care about their patients: Drs. Namon and Yousef! My wife and i went to CareMont on Tuesday December 28 for a covid test. We told that we would get an email if we were negative and a phone call if we were positive. And the results would be in within 48 hours. As of this writing it has been 96 hours with no results we have called twice left messages for a call back. No response. Dr. Toni Saychek has been my emergency life-saving surgeon more times than I've wanted to have my life saved. The level of respect, care and attention given was enough to calm my fears after been carted out of the back of an ambulance and straight into the ED theater. It's been a long journey to recovery and strength but her follow up was thorough, she made sure all questions were answered and ensured me that my strength would return. It's easy, I think, to give the doom and gloom prognosis for a patient when things are wrong, and it takes someone of faith to believe that there's hope and possibilities when you yourself think nothing will work. That spoonful of sugar and faith is everything and will get you through hardship and dark times in health. I wish all doctors had Dr. Saycheks bedside manners. Truly, this was Mt. Kisco Medical Group that merged w Caremount. (MKMG) This group makes the Columbia St office look like a joke when you compare quality of medical care, all woman practitioners, bedside manners and approachable office visits--even when trying to schedule w the appointment line it is night and day. I've seen everyone in the practice including Dr. Kim the radiologist. They're all super as well as their nursing staff Shannon and Med Assts/techs. Okay, the Poughkeepsie office of the Mount Kisco Medical Group has redeemed itself. When I called the office to complain about Dr. X and her constant cancelling, the secretary who handled my call was so nice and was extremely apologetic. When I explained that this was the third time in as many months that Dr. X had cancelled my appointments, she sounded horrified and admitted that she herself "wouldn't like that at all." I told her that it wasn't the fault of the secretarial staff, but that the constant rash of cancellations posed an inconvenience for me as a patient and smacked of unprofessionalism on the part of Dr. X. The secretary said that she understood and worked with me to get an appointment with a physician who was available. To make a long story short: she gave me an appointment that same day with a physician she assured me I'd like. And you know what? That secretary was right. I did like her! Nice Doctor was kind, attentive and professional - everything that a doctor should be towards a patient. I'll be seeing Nice Doctor from now on, no two ways about it. The Poughkeepsie office of the Mount Kisco Medical Group is brand new and quite nice, although the fact remains that this is a large medical practice. Don't expect the sense of personalization you might experience at your neighborhood doctor's office, and be prepared to wait because they have a lot of patients. But the staff is pretty pleasant, the setup is extraordinarily decent, and they're affiliated with Vassar Brothers Medical Center, one of the best hospitals in the region. I'm not giving them anything above three stars right now because I want to see how future visits to this practice play out. But considering the bad experiences I've had with this place in the past three months alone, the strong positive experience I recently had points to good things to come. read more

I loath writing negative reviews, but this place deserves one. Good luck trying to reach your doctor at this place that has gotten TOO big. Patients consistently have to wait on hold well over 10 minutes (listening to the same terrible messages) just to reach an operator. Then you leave a message for an MD and hope you get a call back before 5pm. Horrible, horrible way to operate a physicians office. CareMount is leading the way in dooming us all to endless long waits to see your MD to say nothing of reaching them on the phone. A few bright spots: Dr Martinko is amazing, caring and wonderful in every way. Her assistant Diane is also outstanding and responsive. Jason - an operator, is extremely pleasant. Too bad it takes FOREVER to reach him (if you're lucky to get him). PAM, greets you in The Poughkeepsie office - she's wonderful! Remembers your name, asks about you and embodies everything one could ask for in public relations. The rest of the medical staff is indifferent at best. I guess I'll write a review since my issue was " unfounded as per their investigation!!! I am so done with caremount and it's unfortunate because I love LOVE my dr . The office was trying to get a hold of me for over a week . We went back and fourth because my mail box is full . you can not leave messages. So a nurse or medical assistant whomever decided to leave a message with my children's father . Now he's down as an emergency contact for AN EMERGENCY!!!!!!!! My blood work results and them sending a letter to my home ARE NOT AN EMERGENCY!!!! There was absolutely no reason to call him . I thought wow , Totally bizarre. Welp unbeknownst to me the woman who called knows him personally. He called me to tell me all of this . He Told me she kept trying to get him to remember who she was exactly and how she went to school with his sister ect ect ect . Meanwhile he's supposed to be my emergency contact . In an emergency!!!! Totally caught him off guard and he though it was bizarre also . Again it's not an emergency!!! So I am sure she saw his name in my chart and decided to call . Him and I felt this was totally inappropriate especially to discuss this when this phone call pertains to my medical care and getting in tough with me !!!! I complained to whomever they see no issues ! But I expected this outcome . Medical offices are similar to police departments. They will back each other no matter what . I would suggest seeing anyone BUT Dr. Cormier if you'd like a doctor that actually cares about your wellbeing. (Also, if you want a doctor that is on schedule I wouldn't suggest her either). I got in a car accident last June & the car was totaled. I had a headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, as well as body pain and clicking in my ribs. She only gave me the option for a virtual visit. Apparently she can't make time to see someone who got in a car accident and possibly had head injuries. I have never had an issue with MKMG and I have been going to them for years. I always get an appointment when needed when I am sick. I also use the group for their specialists (OBGYN and Dermatology). All of my experiences have been pleasant with both doctors and staff. On another note, all doctors are different regardless if they are in the same practice or not. Do research on the doctor you want to see before going. read more

There is extremely poor care at Caremount. Either the doctors are terribly overworked so they cannot really 'care' for their patients, (or else they hire doctors who don't couldn't care less, perhaps because of the extremely high number of different insurance forms they must fill out for different insurance companies) to get paid). Whatever the reason is, it adds up to a horrible situation for patients, although it may look okay on the surface. There is little communication between the phone service and the doctor, if any at all. So, when you call in, you cannot speak to the doctor or his immediate staff, and as the messages are passed, if they are, they get garbled. This is too big an operation to function properly and patients suffer, at least I did. Caremount is negligent. I must say that I had a very satisfactory experience with a Caremount Ophthalmologist, Dr. L. Fox. I am writing here about the doctor I have at the Columbia Street facility. read more

I think it's about that time to start looking for a new OB/GYN practice. This place has gotten too big for its britches. The front office staff treats women like GARBAGE / like we're animals. Their patient portal does not work. It simply is antiquated and does not do what it was built to do. Today's frustrating experience: I was told yesterday (Friday 10AM) from the staff while I was at the Oakwood office that the doctor's lab orders will be in the system by the end of day... come back tomorrow for lab work. I arrived at Oakwood a little after 8AM on Saturday. The building was open but the lights were mostly off. There were other patients waiting as well. I walked around the second and fourth floor calling out but no one answered. Free computers anyone? Can you say security breech? The Caremount web site lists the lab to be open from 8AM - 11:45AM at the Oakwood location. Where is everybody? I called the main desk and no pick up. Not even a forwarding system. I finally reached a live person at the Fishkill site. Yes, their lab was open. I shared that with the other waiting patients and we all left around 9AM. Upon arrival in Fishkill I checked in at the desk telling them I was there for presurgical testing set up by my doctor yesterday. After waiting for 45 minutes I was brought in for my blood to be drawn. Surprise...the doctor's orders were not in the system and there was no one to call on a Saturday morning to fix this mistake. My complaints about Caremount include: misinformed/uninformed staff; staff not timely following through with Rx and lab test reports and orders; very long wait on phone ques; long wait to get a scheduled appointment; overbooked doctors/staff that make errors because they are rushed and pressured by corporate to produce...whereas they just don't have enough time to adequately administer treatment and necessary paperwork for each patient; visits and lab work incorrectly reported/coded to insurance company. Sadly, as you can see by the other posts, there have been many repeated complaints but nothing done about it. Bottom line on Caremount: Overbooked, understaffed, poorly managed, and provides insufficient care. The merge of MHMG and MKMG has turned out disastrous to the patient as patient care has been compromised for the all mighty dollar. read more

My name is Mark. On 8/12/2022 I had total right hip replacement surgery. The doctor who did this surgery is Dr. David Stamer. When I went for my post op Doctor vist and PT sessions, my leg never felt right This Doctor & Physical therapist would tell me I had to heal from the surgery and everything would go back to normal. I would constantly tell them both something did not feel right and the more I told them the more doctor woul dismiss or play down my concern. He took a x-ray & CT scan but would not show me. When I would tell him my leg was in constant pain he would tell me to just take pain medicine. Once I was able to get some movement back in my leg, what i was feeling in my leg was more noticeable that leg was actually shorter than the other. I told this to Dr. Stamer and told its not true without measuring my leg for himself to be sure. His defense was "if it is, its not by much". I told him I have a bad limp and still need to walk with a cane and my PT sessions is very painful. After my 3rd visit & being very annoyed, his suggestion was to do surgery on my left leg to make it even or for me to put lifts in my shoes. I said to him what are trying to shrink me? your not doing any surgery on me & I'm not putting lifts in my shoes I did come to you wearing lifts. Then he wanted to do the surgery over I SAID NEVER!. After much research, because it is very, very difficult to find a Doctor who wouldI even see you never mind do a surgery for a case like this so soon after the first one, but I was able to find a competent doctor who would do the revision surgery very soon. He showed me through x-rays & CT scans all that was wrong with the first surgery, and could not understand how the first Doctor did what he did to be off by a whole inch. After seeing my post operationx-rays for the first time, now I understand why Doctor Stamer did not want show me. A blind person could see his error. When I tell you that a inch matters, it matters!, because it throws your whole body off and its very uncomfortable. Doctor Stamer messed my leg up. He shorted my leg by an inch. I am stand 6"3-1/2 on my left leg and 6"2-1/4 on my right leg. Good Doctor's own thier mistakes and don't try to cover them over. They should not disregard patients complaints or issues just to protect thier reputation or ego especially when the patients point out something they did wrong to their body. I spoke with three people who Doctor Stamer preformed surgery on and all had wished I spoke with them before, they all said they would have told me to run the other way. DO YOUR RESEARCH. read more

I am a new patient at Caremount dermatology. I haven't even been seen yet. I had made a appointment. I missed the appointment cause my aides vehicle broke down. So they told me too come in today at 12:00. This is the second time they double booked me. I have had enough. They have been rude and incompetent. The nurse hung up on me. An the dr. I was originally going too see refuses too care for me. Deramatology staff made the mistakes so I didnt trust them too give me a appointment over the phone so I went in. I heard the dr. Say too staff over the phone he wasn't going too see me. I just wanted a appointment too care for a very painful disease, it's called dercums disease. I would give this organization zero stars if I could. I strongly believe they are committing medical billing fraud. In two years, I've had billing issues with them twice for incorrect billing practices. The first time the issue was eventually resolved. The second time I was charged almost $1,000 for my annual gynecology visit (which should be fully covered by my insurance) because they submitted it to my insurance as a regular doctor's visit. They then insisted the visit I originally booked was not for an annual gynecology appointment (not true), insisted I was not well at the visit because I had a test done (which came back negative) at the suggestion of the assistant who took my medical history and because I had tests done which I only consented to on the condition they were part of an annual gynecology exam and would be covered by insurance (they did the tests and then said they were not covered and I had requested them). Because I provided some medical history background to the gynecologist (a new doctor I was planning to see regularly as issues arose) they said that the appointment was for a non-well visit and couldn't be an annual gynecology appointment, despite the fact that I had no gynecology issues at the time of my visit and was completely well. After almost a year of disputing the charge, Caremount sent the bill to a collections agency and I was forced to pay to avoid a hit to my credit score. Caremount has a monopoly on medical care in this area and operates as though it is above law and ethics. I'm hopeful this review encourages at least one person to use their power to choose other providers instead of Caremount. read more

I needed a prescription renewal. When I called the main number, the recording said I could renew my prescription using the patient portal. So I did. That was 1/3/2019. I have yet to hear back. I hate calling because either I'm put on hold or disconnected. I think it's time to look for a different practice. read more
