The operation was successful, and for that I can highly recommend each and every person involved in my stay, from the doctors, to the nurses, to the technicians, to the cleaning personnel. I calculated that I interacted with over 100 people during my stay, and every one of them was cheerful, pleasant and encouraging, even at 3 am when there is a need to draw blood. Nobody likes to be hospitalzed, but, if you find yourself in need of cardiac care, you could not do any better than the care I received at Vassar Brothers... Five stars!

Walked directly in to the lobby reception and was greeted by two friendly desk associates. The check in required photo identification for both of us. Clear instructions to the Dr Office on the first floor. DR CHOI's office: Checked in by Kelly~ friendly and efficient. Nearly immediately checked with procedures and sent us to X~ray registration on level one lobby. ( this seemed like the only redundant process) there was no line, so we were able to check in quickly with the friendly desk representative who knew we were on our way- Good communication between Kelly at Dr Choi's office and Radiology reception. Within minutes we were on the way to 2nd floor radiology. RADIOLOGY: smooth arrival experience ( I recommend that you snap a photo of your script for your records before handing it over. They were accommodating for this when we asked, this may save time from having to ask for records later. WAITING: one other patient was in the waiting room when we arrived. The waiting room is organized, well lit, and clean. There is a TV The wait was reasonable and brief about 7 minutes. Erica and student Tammy greeted us and requested the script ~ we directed them to the desk agent. Within a minute, they left for X-ray. More pleasant staff. All is going smoothly for Radiology. I will review Dr Choi separately.

Edit. To be clear, the person to person staff was very caring. I dont have any issues from the actual care i received from the nursing staff. They have no more control over the system than I do. My issue is TOTALLY WITH ADMINISTRATION. THE PROBLEMS ARRISE BECAUSE THEY RREFUSE TO HIRE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO DO THE WORK, apparently relying on the new magic internet and paiient portals to save them.

Hudson Valley medical practices are negligent and irresponsible and for the most part staffed by incompetents. The doctor on call whom I finally got on the phone and who refused to give me his name said it's "inappropriate" for me to complain to a doctor about prescription issues. Well, I think it's inappropriate for a medical practice to play Russian roulette with a patient's health by not sending critical prescriptions.
