I went to Optum urgent care and was there for 2 1/2 hours to ultimately be told that I should have gone to an emergency room Granted it's a Sunday but if they can't give you equal treatment to a weekday then they shouldn't be open The staff are very pleasant and caring but the facility lacks equality when it comes to fulfilling a patients needs This is not the first time that I have experienced this and I'd hope that they can do something about this in the future read more

WORST! It's awful trying to get through to make an appointment. I've been on hold for 45 minutes trying to get a refill. 8 months out for a mammogram or any other appointment. PAY PEOPLE so you have a staff. I love my doctors...when I'm able to actually see them but otherwise.. The problem with corporate medicine- this! All of this. Staff your health corporation properly. Great staff but the CEO and customer service executive are horribly ineffective. You still cannot connect to the allergists office after several years of complaining. TERRIBLE! If you have options, please reconsider. I drive 30 minutes to the appointment. Waited there alone in an empty office for 30 minutes. Then called out loud to check for a response of anyone in the office at all...just to be approached by a nurse stating the doctor says it's too late to be seen. I know times are tough right now, but the lack of care I received here was ridiculous all caused by lack of staff communication at patient expense. First, I got the runaround trying to enter the building - nurse at the main entrance was not accepting people in and the side door was locked! I finally asked a nurse who was leaving the side how I could enter because now I was 2 minutes late! She said I need to use the main entrance and doesn't know why they're stopping me, but she will let me in. I asked which floor my doctor is on. I wait for 15 minutes without seeing ANYONE! I call Caremount to find out what's going on. And they said to just knock and wait. After knocking, waiting and calling out for 30 minutes after my scheduled apt. I start shouting very loud to see if anyone was even in the office. Then they told me it was too late to be seen. I WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME!!! It's not my fault their communication SUCKS. read more

I've been a patient with MidHudsonMedical since 1970 and went through the changing of this facility with no problems. Now Caremount (Optum) is terrible to get a person to answer the phone. You get a recording that you'll be on hold till someone from whatever Doctor I was trying to call. Tuesday I was on hold for 1hr. in the morning and didn't get my doctor. I tried again in the afternoon with the same result. Optum I HOPE YOU'LL LOOK INTO GETTING A BETTER PHONE SYSTEM OR HIRE MORE RESECTIONIST TO TAKE THE LOAD OFF THE NURSE'S STATION. Greeted by a representative ( not sure if she was a nurse) at the building's main lobby. She was suited up in full PPE and armed with a non-contact thermometer, masks, and hand sanitizer. I headed to radiology and was immediately greeted from well-behind the reception desk. PHASED-in waiting process: WAITING AREA provided excellent "distancing" from the other patient. EAIT TIME was perfect. I waited less than 5 minutes in the main area, then escorted to the MRI waiting area (photo) where the previous patient was moving on to the next "phase", presumably to her test room. TIP: the chair was not sanitized after each of us. INTAKE QUESTIONS: my nurse asked me a series of questions, then directed me to the "locker/changing room" where I would need to remove my bra. NOTE: that small room does not have a lock and the door knobs, keys, and locker was not visibly sanitized between patients. I WAS IMPRESSED With the overall well-orchestrated test experience. The arrival/ departure experiences and staff made having to go through the MRI test a pleasant one. read more

The CareMount Urgent Care at the Fishkill location Is a horror!!!! Do NOT go there!! I waited an hour with my daughter who had a serious UTI. The receptionists were unhelpful and very rude, and annoyed by everyone not just me. They are pathetic. The doctor was not nice either. "Just go home and drink water" she said. I asked for a sterile up for urinalysis and the doctor shrugged and said go ahead. I walked around the corner where the bathroom was with my daughter. Receptionist scolded "where are you going?" I said "I was told to go here for the urine cup...." I tossed the cup and took my daughter to another urgent care on route 9 near Double O's. Much much faster assistance there and was treated MUCH more efficiently and kindly. Stay away from CareMount in Fishkill they are awful and forget trying to get anyone on the phone. I was really worried to go here after seeing the reviews on Maps, most of them sharing very unfortunate experiences. However I moved and it wasn't realistic to keep going to the Caremount Clinic I had before. I had no bad experiences! I went for an OBGYN appointment, arrived on time and waited 10 minutes until I was seen. I was incredibly nervous, only the second gynecologist I've ever seen. The doctor was very relaxed, made me feel relaxed and listened to all of my concerns regarding birth control. We found one that's the best for my situation in a few minutes, did an annual check up in less then half an hour. It's sad that other people haven't had as great of an experience with other departments but I definitely recommend the OBGYN here, I saw Cathleen as she had the soonest availability. read more

If you are considering doing the weight lost management group with this. Don't. This a joke. I haven't even been in to see the doctor yet. I schedule my appointment right after seeing my primary with this practice. I was told back in October they didn't have anything until January which is okay. I understand how scheduling can be. Fast forward to November I get a call asking if they can reschedule my appointment because they overbooked. I then now have a scheduled appointment today January 30th. Only to be called at 8:03am to tell me the doctor has an emergency. She will see you on her lunch during the week. No this is unacceptable if I'm getting run around just to see the doctor, just imagine if I was enrolled in this program. I took off work for this appointment. I work a hour away. So coming during the doctors "Lunch" as I was told on the phone is a joke. I'm a medical schedule myself so I know BS when it told. I'm so disappointed in this weight management program that I didn't even start because I can't get to see the doctor. You could hire a dozen people in scheduling for what you pay one of your many new specialists. Yet, you ignore the major issue bringing your reputation down. Patients are angry. The ability to make, confirm or reschedule appointments REQUIRES we get through to you. Salt on the wound is your charging us for a "no show" when you provide no means by which we can reach you to cancel! Does THAT seem reasonable?! Right now I'm 76 minutes on hold, and , once again,. I received the "kiss of death" when I finally got a call back and the scheduler said, "I'll have to put you through to radiation." NO!! Most of those 76 minutes I was on hold for them! They refuse to answer their phone, so a "repeat" is not acceptable. What we need here is a new CEO or a competitor to come into the area that understands a slew of doctors isn't worth a lick if you can't get through to scheduling with them. A similar competitor, offering 2 minute hold times to reach scheduling, would result in a catastrophic loss of patients to Carmount (or whatever their new name is). Receptionist are welcoming committee of any business. Right well when you walk into this reception area you can forget that. Every time I have taken my mom here, they have been nothing but rude, short and unfriendly. What's wrong with good morning, hi how are you doing today etc. I was in the waiting room another time and this elderly women whispered to me how she to thought the receptionist were rude. Will never return here again after being a patient for years. Impossible to get anyone on the phone to make an appointment. They never ever call you with your lab results, even if they are serious. I had one doctor tell me that my issues were "all in my head". Another doctor just kept ordering more blood work and blowing off my test results. Turns out I had a serious autoimmune disease (which a new doctor discovered right away). The kicker in all of it was they billed me over $600 for these visits when they were all nothing but a waste of time. I was also not informed that a simple procedure was going to be billed for $400. I would stay far away from this place, as I question whether they actually care about the patients or if they are just looking for money. read more

This company is a joke. Caremount more like care less. The charge nurse who works at the Fishkill location is probably the most rudest and unprofessional nurses I have ever met in my life. Being that one of the doctors is "temporarily out of office" the lead internal medicIne doctor is covering for the MD that is out patients. When this certain doctors patients call to make an appointment the charge nurse states "to bad we have no room on the schedule and tells the other nurses to send them to urgent care" and does not take the time to find a time slot for these patients while their PCP is out of office. Not to mention the covering MD's schedule is already fully booked and sees patients at his leisure even when they are late- and of course they would never complain to him instead complain to the MA and his nurse as if we don't have enough to deal with. Also another doctor within the internal medicine group refuses to swab patients in the parking lot because "it's a waste of her time" even if they have covid like symptoms and she tells them to come to the office as she makes the other nurses take time away from their patients to swab her patients in the parking lot when all the other doctors have no issue assisting their own patients. I honestly feel terrible for one of the brand new nurses that work here! She's is doing her best to make all of her patients happy and honestly takes the most nonsense. There's no compromise because the MD doesn't care about team work and taking the schedule into consideration to cause less stress for everyone all round. Honestly no wonder why this establishment can't keep staff. The Internal medicine department now only has ONE MA for 4 doctors and I heard the MA for endocrinology is leaving as well. Maybe if they would listen to staff and actually do something about the HOSTILE, environment they would have more staff. This place is loaded with DRAMA! The department manager takes NOTHING into consideration as she is leaving the Fishkill office as well to have it be someone else's problem to deal with. I personally reached out to HR/ patient experience and they did nothing. Unfortunately, ZERO stars aren't possible, so... My family uses "Care"mount because unfortunately there aren't many other choices in the Hudson Valley. I agree with the previous poster who said that every time, he "cannot believe this is the state of our healthcare system." Let me say, in the (unlikely) case that upper management ever reads this: the doctors are great, and I have found the staff to be good too, WHEN you can reach someone. They're too overworked to answer the phone, apparently, as I just sat on hold for twenty five minutes during normal business hours to reach our pediatrician's office, and this was after jumping through a million recordings just to reach it. This is a giant institution and it is clear that they, meaning the higher up folks in management, care about one thing: PROFIT. Sadly, that business model, so common in giant corporations, is the way of our health "care" system. I agree with another post and also expect that very soon, hearing a diagnosis will be automated, and you will have to pay extra to speak to a person to hear your diagnosis, even if it's something serious. As in "press 1 for cancer, press 2 for diabetes..." I used to joke about that, but it's no longer a joke. That dystopian nightmare is on the horizon. If we as a people refused to participate in such systems, and all spoke out with the one voice these giant entities understand, our wallets, it might make a difference. Disgraceful. Blatant lying. Upon arrival at the Caremount Fishkill urgent care center, I was informed there were five patients ahead of me and I went back to my car to wait as instructed. An hour later I went back in to inquire how many patients were ahead of me. I was told that I would be next and to go back and wait in my car. A half hour later and I still wasn't called even though I had been told I was next a half-hour earlier. So I went in to inquire. Again I was told I was next. It turns out other people were also falsely being told they were next throughout this entire period. How do I know? Those of us in the parking lot got to talking and realized we were all being told "you are next". In total I waited three hours even though upon arrival I had been told there were only 5 people ahead of me. If they had been honest with me I would have chosen to go elsewhere. Just wanted to give a shout out to Dr. Kumar in the Fishkill office. He is a gastroenterology doctor. He did my colonoscopy. Such a professional, caring doctor. When I first went to him I told him I have struggled with severe constipation all my life. Every doctor I have gone to and explained my concern to, said drink more water. Dr. Kumar was the first doctor who said "I can help you". And he did. He prescribed Linzess, and it has been a life changer for me. He listens, has a wonderful gentle caring bedside manner. Every time I have to deal with Caremount; make an appointment, try and talk to a nurse, I cannot believe this is the state of healthcare. To see practically any doctor in the Hudson Valley now you must deal with Caremount. The customer service which had been awful for sometime is now beyond abysmal. To make a simple appointment you are likely to be put on hold for an extended period. When you finally get to speak with a someone you'll will almost always be offered an appointment three two to three weeks out by an indifferent representative. Calls are dropped randomly. Sometimes calls to main number simply keep ringing with no answer. Basic communication with your provider is nearly impossible. The treatment you get from Caremount would be objectionable if was say a carpet cleaning service as a healthcare company it is boarder line criminal. read more

Went for an appointment with Dr Amit Dholakia , due to a knee surgery, the doctor that performed the surgery recommended doctor Dholakia for pain management, when the treatment didn't work he still changed my medical charts . I went there to get a letter to send to the workers comp and he refused to see me , I argued with his assistant never disrespect her in any way I was only being loud ! Had an appointment scheduled for my son for weeks addressing a persistent and time sensitive issue only to be called 5 min before the appointment saying the doctor won't see anyone under 4. This is understandable but to notify someone 5 min before the appointment? Absolutely disgraceful and shows the lack of care you have for the patients. Luckily it was a telehealth appt- had it been in person we would have wasted the entire day. CareMount has been a total nightmare for myself and everyone I know, be it billing issues or scheduling issues there is not one part of being a patient there that is not a complete nightmare. Here's what sucks about Caremount. The doctors are fantastic- good bed side manner, informative, etc. The actual office and administrative side is awful. Impossible to get appointments, end up waiting an hour plus for appointments when we finally get them, total lack of respect for the time of their patient. I work 50 hours a week and have a baby. It's hard enough to get to the doctor -- please don't make it even harder on me. I don't have the time or patience to be sitting in the waiting room forever when I deliberately booked the first appointment of the day to minimize office time. Plus, sometimes their phone system sucks. While I was pregnant there were several times where I could not get through to talk to staff. Ended up having to call every other Caremount number on the internet and getting routed to multiple after hours answering services. Not sure if that was a kink in the system -- or the norm -- but very challenging when your dealing with stressful pregnancy things. read more

Walk in clinic- Horrible. 2 hour wait for 'URGENT' care. Met with PA Reggie for a tick bite. He never sent the blood work results, no call, no email, no information on the portal. I had to call. 17 days later he called back stating that he was away for a week and a half and there was no one to follow up with me on my results. This is my 2nd bad experience there. I wish I could give 0 stars. Urgent care wait times were extensive and inaccurately depicted online. After being there over 2 hours, I left and paid my copay on the way out. It has since been weeks of going back and forth between their billing department and my insurance, who has called them directly multiple times as well. They incorrectly submitted the claim to my insurance and refuse to resubmit "because their facility can offer specialized care." I have different copays for urgent care and specialized office visits, as do most people. I came for an urgent care visit and am being forced to pay as if it was a specialized office visit. read more

Stay away from all Caremount Medical centers whenever possible. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone. If you have an emergency and need to speak to someone quickly, you'll be waiting a solid 15 minutes listening to elevator hold music. My family and I have been with this Caremount branch for several years, and we've finally had it. Frankly, we went there our of convenience, but here are the reasons we're stopping. 1) Their overcharging (after serious checks of similar procedures) of often three times more than other similar facilities, is really outrageous. Our insurance always pays, and I suppose everyone's does, and that's why they get away with it. 2) Even more egregious is an experience I had recently, with a family member not actually able to do a procedure, which they charged for anyway. The billing woman (I won't name her, out of pity) said that because the procedure had been started (it lasted about 30 seconds, seriously) they had to charge, and I'm talking about thousands of dollars. It's for me a clear case of insurance fraud, and I told her so (she got frantic, obviously having heard this before) and at the very least, utterly unethical. I'm in the process now of discussing this with our health insurance. Again, just because we don't have to pay ourselves, doesn't mean it's okay, and it's activity like this that keeps health insurance costs so high. 3) Finally, another doctor of ours said that a procedure (another one) ordered for a family member was completely unnecessary, and that many of her colleagues feel Caremount doctors order such unnecessary procedures routinely, so make sure your procedure is actually needed, if you go to Caremount! We're looking for another group, and I highly recommend that everyone do so! read more

Also, I had an MRI done on my knee and it has been five days and I still haven't heard the results!!! I called today and got a recording from the doctor's nurse, left a message and they still haven't gotten back to me yet!! The customer service is awful to say the least. I've been going to this office for 2 years for a birth control shot. Every single time I go I have a different nurse, and most of them tell me "I haven't done this in a while" or "I hope I remember how to do this". Today I waited 20 minutes to be seen, which is usual, but again, I had a nurse who told me that she doesn't normally do shots. She starts administering it and I hear her say "uh oh". She put the syringe together wrong, and some of the medicine went in the muscle, and the majority of it went on the floor. It would be one thing if this was a one time mistake. But I have been dealing with nurses who don't know what they're doing for 2 years now and it's absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend coming here. read more

This is THE WORST medical institution I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I was charged an absurd amount of money (almost $300) for a 15 minute visit in which I was given one antibiotic and sent on my way (after an hour and a half of waiting). The insurance told midhudson that I should "only" have to pay $100 and thats where I was left. No matter who I spoke to nobody was capable of helping me understand why in the world $280 seems like a reasonable price for a 15 minute procedure (whether I have to pay it ir not... that it what they billed my insurance and that is just ridiculous). I get the impression that they charge the insurance as much as they possibly can and if you happen to have bad insurance you are left with an exorbitant medical bill. I will NEVER go to Mid-Hudson medical again. Not to mention that EVERY SINGLE time I go to the doctors (and I always make sure to make my appointment the first in the morning) I am made to wait at least half an hour. Do these people not understand that their patients have jobs as well and that we take off time to see them? There is absolutely no respect. After writing down a medical assessment and even telling my symptoms verbally to dr Monet France, she says no knee surgery only physical therapy?? Even after reading my family history of flat feet bad hips bad knees with a family history of rheumatoid arthritis and hearing of my past diagnoses of hip pain, this doctor could not decide what was my proper diagnosis even for my 10 years long knee pain. When I told her I cant walk stand sit do stairs or even sleep without pain, she says theres no reason why I cannot do these activities--because she 'does not know me well enough', she could not trust ME as I am an honest person and told her my symptoms? and after reading my xrays and seeing arthritis and witnessing my pain, she could not say its a disability? She also asked me did I get bit by a tick? I said yes-within the past month of January in fact! And she did not order a lyme disease test! What would you do in my case? I went for lab work at the Westage Location in Fishkill and waited 1 hour. The front desk lady did not inform me that patients needed to check in with her before proceeding to the lab. Very poor signage and no information provided. After 7:30 am they have 4 receptionist and only 1 person in the lab. I will most likely choose a different location next time. read more
