I was looking for some answers as to why my heart continuously beats out of my chest. I was given 3 tests by 2 previous other docters, and Dr. Solomon was my 3rd opinion. The other 2 doctors administered the tests, but did not have any answers as to why this was happening. At my first visit with Dr. Solomon, he read the results of their tests. He confirmed that I had SVT, an arrithmia condition that needed follow through. The other day I was experiencing discomfort and pain down my left arm which may have been a sign of heart attack, and felt very powerful palpitations all day. I headed to the emergency room at Vassar hospital after calling Dr. Solomon and his recommendation for additional tests. I waited 4 /12 hour at Vassar and they gave me no results or closure as to why I was experiencing these symptoms. I couldnt wait any longer since I waited from 8:30 pm till 1:30 am the next morning, and they did not know how much longer it would be until I could see a doctor to provide me with results . I was told at Vassar that if I left (at 1:30), and didn't stay to see the doc on call, I would never see my X-rays again. I left because I couldnt wait any longer. I sent Dr. Solomon a note the following day, telling him I would like the results of my X-ray so that I could go to another Dr. for a 4th opinion because I could not get any answers at the hospitial, and that I wanted to take them home with me the next day after I saw him. The next day, I had a follow up with Dr. Solomon who was extremely angry with me because he felt upset that I wanted to go for a 4th opinion. He felt I directed anger at him, which was not true, but I was angry at the way Vassar treated me in the ER and was told that I'd never see my X-rays again if I left at 1:30 am. He told me that he didnt want to hear about what went on at the hospital and that I should just accept the long delay and the amount of suffering I felt because it was the "way all hospitals are running because of Covid. He began yelling and screaming like a child at both me and my husband, and would not let us get a word in edgewise. He then said that there weren't any findings of problems in my blood tests or X-ray, yet he wanted to order a Dye Cat Scan. This was contradictory to what he said about finding nothing worrisome in my tests or x-ray (that he was able to get the results of after all) Another test, I feel, would be very unnessesary and not needed since he did not see any reason for alarm With the tests given at Vassar. He also accused me of just making up a story since my mom had a history of a heart attack at my age, and I was just looking for attention and was anxious about it. He told me that I was anxious knowing the family history I have and was over exaggerating. I am a 58 year old women who works out every day and is in amazing shape. I would never go to a hospital complaining of pain down my left arm if it wasnt true. I would never sit in a ER for 4 1/2 hours if I didnt feel it was necessary due to my arrhythmia problem. After the way I was treated by Dr. Solomon, I will never, ever step foot into his office again! He made me feel like a hypochondriac who was just looking for attention. He made me feel worse than I had been feeling prior to my appointment with him. He was extremely rude, threw a childlike tantrum, was uncompassionate and uncaring. Shame on him for choosing cardiology as a profession since heart problems can be very serious, and compassion and care should be a top priority when it comes to heart care. Also shame on Nuvance (who runs the entire hospital at Vassar) for allowing such an uncompassionate doctor to practice under their name.

At the time there were only two other people in the waiting area - so I was pleased. However, I proceeded to wait in the patient waiting area for over an hour (after my scheduled appointment time) with no communication from staff regarding the delay. At approximately 2:30pm I approached the reception desk to ask if it is normal practice to have patients wait more than an hours time before being called in. The receptionists sarcastic response was "DEPENDS". That is extremely rude and completely unprofessional. Not only did I wait two hours but no one could even tell me when I would be seen. It was only when I approached the receptionists desk to make my inquiry did she then get the nurse to admit Dr. Epstein was backed up. Naturally, I cancelled my appointment -- as I have no interest in ever going back to this office. Lucky for me I only required a routine physical exam and was not actually sick. This is not the first time I've experienced this irresponsible neglegence at this office. It is very disheartening to see people behave so inconsiderately. I waited patiently for two hours. I would have continued to wait had I stayed because there is no consideration for anyone's time. Basically, when you make an appointment at this office you should be sure to block your calendar for the day's entirety as this is how long you could wait to be seen at this office. -Severely disgruntled

Hard to write a review for the entire group but it's so convenient to have a 1-stop shop for all your medical needs (especially when your primary doc or OB/GYN refers you to a specialist and all they have to do is email them your scans instead of you requesting a copy, waiting a couple days, etc.) It's very well organized. They also have a good relationship with the Vassar Ambulatory Surgery Center so they schedule a lot of outpatient procedures there (right across that manmade pond they have there). I'm not a huge fan of how these medical groups are getting so huge, but I have to say that the majority of the care that I get there (besides a few doctors in the internal medicine and orthopedic specialties, who shall remain nameless) is excellent. I've been a patient with these guys since 1994

I had the misfortune to meet Dr. Goodheart at Elmhurst Hospital Center after being referred to his…read moredermatology clinic there from the hospital's emergency room. I had pustular psoriasis and I've had it before in 1996 though I was much worse then. At that time I was treated with very low-level chemotherapy which essentially ended my bout with pustular psoriasis within 10.5 hours. Unfortunately Dr. Goodheart instead prescribed a one lb. tub of a steroid in ointment; the messiness of this versus the handiness of taking three small pills over 24 hours cannot be overstated; I have to bathe and while my body is still moist I have to cover myself with this steroid ointment. The side-effects of the steroid being applied twice a day for the last two weeks to such a large portion of my body cannot be understated; steroids destroy sleep; I've been averaging 4 hours, at best, every 48 hours; this is not good for both my mental and physical health; I've been having mild hallucinations from what I would suppose is lack of sleep. That and steroids can induce varying degrees of psychosis; my temper has been incredibly short. Another issue is that steroids also increase appetite; Goodheart knows I'm diabetic but he seems to have no qualms about the way this drug has changed my eating pattern. These are all, to me, very serious quality of life issues but Dr. Goodheart doesn't seem to care about my opinion of my care this way; he simply doesn't listen and just argues with me and insists that what he's doing is correct. His practice is in Fishkill, NY and he's also associated with Mt. Sinai Medical Center; his credentials, overall, seem quite credible but I personally think he's a not really a good doctor.

The wait wasn't long, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. The assistant asked me the standard questions about my allergies and medications, which I answered clearly. Then Dr. Selena Lebron came in, asked the exact same questions again, and even accused me of not disclosing a drug allergy--something I had already told the assistant. She mumbled throughout the visit, barely making eye contact, and didn't even tell me whether my test was positive or not before jumping straight to prescribing two medications. When I asked for clarification--what the medications were, how many, when to take them, and what they were for--she seemed annoyed by my questions and said, "The pharmacy will give you instructions." Completely unacceptable. I also asked why I was having these symptoms and how I can prevent them. She then told me I'd get a referral to a urologist. Spoiler: I never received one. A few days later, I had severe side effects from the medication (nausea, vomiting, throbbing headache), so I called the clinic. The man who answered the phone was incredibly rude and dismissive. He offered no guidance and just said, "I don't know, go to the ER." Then another doctor got on the phone and said since the original doctor wasn't there, there was nothing he could do unless I came in and paid another co-pay--or went to the ER. No responsibility, no care, no concern. Just rude, unhelpful, and borderline negligent. I will never be going back to this place, and I strongly recommend others stay far away.

Meanwhile I'm coughing up a lung and my throat is on fire. He was so rude and rushed through the whole intake process and acted the entire time as if I was a burden to him. He was also the person who took my vitals and throat/nose culture once in the exam room. Very rude and unprofessional throughout. All rapid tests came back negative and two tests were sent to lab. I was prescribed steroid and inhaler for gunk in my chest. Being New Year's Eve, I didn't expect much in the form of rapid results from the lab. I missed a call 3 days later saying "this is a courtesy call with lab results, call us back". Called back 3 times and got nothing but an answering service. Never heard from them again. 5 days later, still sick. Unable to log into their online portal. Called the office, got same rude receptionist on phone who told me "there's nothing I can do on my end" to help you log into your profile. "I can try to find a number for you to call or you can come Pick up results in person." On my way to an appointment with my primary I stopped in to get the results only to find out I tested positive for strep throat! I guess it just wasn't that important to them that I know. All in all, awful experience. Will never return and suggest nobody else goes there either. Rude, unprofessional and dangerous!
