    Raheleh S.

I am in complete shock that I am writing this. I had utter respect and reverence for Dr. Finke. He guided me through a miscarriage and cervical cancer. As a fellow physician, I was always respectful, punctual, and paid my bills. Finding the right gynecologist took me years. Once I found Dr. Finke, I referred all my patients and friends to him. OB GYN is a stressful field, so I empathize, but I do not empathize with disrespect, lack of compassion, and firing a patient without investigation. The insurance system forces doctors to see patients every 15 minutes, which I understand, so I started a private practice without insurance to ensure my patients feel cared for. I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent visit to Dr. Finke's office. As a long-term patient who referred many new patients, I was shocked by the unprofessional and rude behavior of the staff. There was a scheduling mix-up for my 3 PM appointment; I was told it was the previous day. Despite this possibly being a mistake on my part or Evelyn's, the way Yvonne and Kathy treated me was unacceptable. Please review my history and note I have never missed an appointment or been late. Upon checking in, I was informed I wasn't on the schedule. I explained my situation and asked to see the doctor due to my tight schedule. The front desk advised me to go to the back, where Dr. Finke greeted me kindly. I was supposed to talk to Evelyn, but either Yvonne or Kathy called me over. As soon as I started talking, one of them said, "Stop screaming at me," which was incorrect. I was calmly explaining the situation. This false accusation was humiliating and dismissive. The couple next to me immediately stopped talking and stared at me. Despite my calm efforts to resolve the issue, Yvonne insisted I was yelling, and another staff member joined in, worsening the situation. Their behavior was unprofessional and upsetting. In frustration I told Yvonne se was not qualified to work there and then I was accused of threatening them?. They continued arguing with me as I tried to resolve my issue, leaving me feeling embarrassed and disrespected. As a doctor, I understand the importance of patient care and the impact of negative experiences on health and well-being. Yvonne and Kathy were extremely dismissive, making me out to be a "Karen" when I was simply asking about my appointment. It appears Dr. Finke only cares for obstetrics patients or those who follow the system without questions. Unfortunately, it seems we're heading towards a concierge system where only non-insurance patients feel seen and heard. I do not pay nearly $600 per month in health insurance to be berated and then fired after their employee cussed me out. They all teamed up, leaving the single female patient to fend for herself. I did not have a husband or boyfriend there to corroborate the horrible treatment I received. But I am not letting this go. They will be reported to the medical board of California and many other organizations because if I do not stand up for myself, no one else will! I reached out to Sherri Barnes - office manager about the issues and rather than investigate or even show me any compassion as the patient she immediately told me I was lying and that her staff was telling the truth. Please see the attached letters I received attached to this review. She accused me of threatening her staff and that is a big deal to accuse anyone of that - but am praying they have camera and audio surveillance. Because it will show that I did not talk to Evelyn at all and that Yvonne was berating me. I came home today after a long day of serving my patients to find my first-ever certified mail from Dr. Finke firing me. During the time he helped me through a miscarriage and cervical cancer, he never showed such interest in contacting me. But he seemed eager to press "Print" on this certified mail firing me. I will fight for my rights as a patient and not allow this to happen again, not to me or my patients, and hopefully change the system at Women's Care of Beverly Hills so they can respect and treat their patients properly. Please understand the severity of this issue and the profound disappointment it has caused me. It is vital for the integrity of medical practice that such behavior is addressed. I hope this review will lead to: 1. Me getting the apology I deserve. 2. Helping other women choose their doctors wisely. 3. Highlighting the problems with clinics accepting insurance and the broken system, leading doctors and clinics to lack compassion. 4. Helping me find the right gynecologist who cares about me and accepts my money. 5. Ensuring Yvonne and Kathy receive proper training or are fired. Thank you to whomever took the time to read this and I welcome comments and questions on the severity of this issue and hope to open a conversation regarding this Thanks Rahi

Sweet, smart, spectacular.. am I talking about my love bug (pictured here) or Dr. Finke? Both is the accurate answer. 8 yrs later all good!

Dr. Finke is absolutely brilliant and everything you didn't even know you could dream of in a gynecologist, obgyn! Dr. Finke can be serious when called for but also has the best sense of humor. I've recommended friends and they all have had excellent experiences with Dr. Finke. Together after thinking through all options Dr. Finke and I decided on a planned C-section. The reason for this was, and nobody tells you this going in to labor, induction to induce natural labor is the worst. Their is nothing natural about being induces into labor. And while later I would realize after being induces (with a different doctor) with my last birth that men absolutely had to have made induced labor drugs and induction machines... likely to further torture woman... I told Finke I never want to experience those horrid machines again. And so this time with Finke everything was planned, scheduled and perfect! Dr. Finke even recommended I create a playlist for the occasion of giving birth. Sting Fields of Gold was babies first song post womb. Dr. Finke can be serious when called for but also has the best sense of humor. I've recommended friends and they all have had excellent experiences with Dr. Finke. Of note: I switched to Dr. Finke and treasure his affiliation with Cedar Sinai especially since during my last pregnancy with a different hospital affiliation (before I was at UCLA Santa Monica).I got mrsa! and due to the hospital UCLA/different doctor i almost died. I had to self advocate and find help my own. UCLA cleared me when I was going sepsis and mrsa spread to my organs. As a result I was on antibiotics with a heart pic for 3 months due to UCLA! Don't go to UCLA. Go with Cedar and Finke. Cedar Sinai and Finke are kind, empathize, listen, explain exactly what will happen and put moms, babies and emergencies first. On rare super rare chance of having to reschedule... So if a doctor has to reschedule because a fellow female goes into labor (happened 1x in 9 years) I am ok with that because it could have been me.

Thank you Dr.Finke for delivering our son! You are the best!

I came across Dr.Finke via Yelp! And all I can say is I am so glad I did. From the moment I met him I knew he was the one I wanted to choose to deliver my baby. He was very informative always answered all my questions. I am a first time mom so I had so many questions and I constantly emailed him and he responded right away. If I ever had a scare I would call the office and they would see me right away. The staff is absolutely amazing and friendly. Every visit was pleasant and quick! Everything he estimated about my delivery was on point! I ended up having a c section and was a bit nervous but he made every step of the surgery as pleasant as possible. His after care was amazing and the staff at cedars also love him and have great things to say about him! So if you are looking for a obgyn I would definitely recommend him! He is the best out there!!

I wish I had written this years ago. If you are someone in a larger body, I cannot express strongly…read moreenough that you should seek treatment elsewhere. Dr. Rosenbaum's fatphobia and arrogance entrenched issues I was dealing with instead of diagnosing them and led her to misdiagnose me with PCOS. The diagnosis itself did not bother me but her delivery and subsequent actions were extremely damaging to both my psyche and body. More details below for those who may need to vet their doctors with much more scrutiny. (CW: Disordered eating/eating disorder & mention of weight loss and caloric count) From the time I started seeing her in my early 20s, Dr. Rosenbaum gave her strong opinions on my weight and what I should do about it. At 5'8" and 180 pounds at the time, I may have been clinically classified as "overweight" but my life wasn't affected by it, nor were any of my vitals. Her bedside manner rubbed me the wrong way but I thought it was my fault because of my weight. Her practice was close to my office and finding someone else seemed like a hassle for an appointment I had once a year even though I always dreaded seeing her and would push my appointment months to try losing more weight so I wasn't made to feel worse about myself. She was much less condescending the year I came in and had lost 50 pounds in six months, and she enthusiastically congratulated me on my effort which, in hindsight, she should have questioned instead of praising and telling me to keep it up. In the following year or two, I had put the weight back on much to her dismay and my shame, and my periods continued to be irregular as they had been since I first got my period at age 12. At that point, she told me she thought I had PCOS and had me get bloodwork. When I met with her in her office, she told me that I did indeed have PCOS as she suspected. I asked her if she had gotten my bloodwork back and she said, "I don't need to see it, I know it's PCOS." She told me I would need to lose weight and stop eating carbs and recommended seeing the nutritionist, Dr. Rahnama, in their office. She said, "Dr. Rahnama *loves* her PCOS patients. They do really well on her program because they're not... you know..." and trailed off. I can only imagine what it was I was supposed to "know." That PCOS patients do well on a nutrition program because it's not their "fault" they are fat, they aren't lazy and unmotivated like 'regular' fat people? I don't know what else she could have possibly been thinking besides some version of that. She jokingly made comments that I may need to take medication in order to conceive but that her patients without PCOS were jealous of that. I went to see Dr. Rahnama who wanted me to go on an extremely restrictive, 1,200-calorie diet of deli meats, vegetables, and protein shakes. That was the last time I engaged with Dr. Rosenbaum or her office but I have been healing the wounds of that since, putting off seeing doctors or trusting them. That was five years ago and a new doctor recently questioned Dr. Rosenbaum's PCOS diagnosis and did a new set of bloodwork and pelvic ultrasound. My testosterone levels were completely normal and I did not have cysts on my ovaries. Dr. Rosenbaum diagnosed me based on my weight and my irregular periods. If I had shown up at her office looking emaciated, perhaps I would have gotten the proper diagnosis: an eating disorder. Upon working to resolve those issues around food restriction and obsession with my weight, I have gotten my period regularly for the past year and a half and my weight has stabilized at a place I'm sure would horrify her, but I am so much healthier and happier than when I was in her care. Dr. Rosenbaum did a lot of harm and caused me to feel so much shame that I internalized deeply. I would imagine she is a decent doctor for people she believes to be in acceptable body sizes. If that is not you, please find someone who will treat you with the care and respect you deserve, who is informed in a Health At Every Size approach. I am sorry for not writing this sooner and perhaps stopping others from having the same experience that I did.

She showed up, I was having a difficult time dilating during my delivery and she made me feel incredibly safe and comfortable. So sweet and so kind. She made such a huge impact on my experience at Cedars so I knew when I got pregnant the second time around in 2012, she HAD to be my OB/GYN again. Every office visit, and every advice she ever gave me was so comforting and I trust her. I needed her when she came into my life. Let me just make say this as a side note: Sometimes when doctors treat celebs or become celebs themselves, they have a sense of entitlement. Some, not all. I myself have personally experienced this situation with an OB/GYN who use to be on the television show "The Doctors". I won't mention her name here but I will post separate review on my experience w/ her when I miscarried my first child. I mention this because it is obvious that Dr. Rosenbaum is good at what she does. She delivers babies everyday for both regular every day people like you and I, and she also delivers babies for celebs. Yet she remains the same. She treats everyone of her patients the same. With love, respect, and kindness. I had a high-risk pregnancy the second time around and she was there for me every step of the way. What I can say about her office and staff is that they are all very professional. I never had any issues over the years with billing, cancelled appts, etc. I've never been kept waiting for long periods of time for any of my appointments. Parking is easy. Absolutely no complaints!! All love.

It's pretty scandalous that front office staff are able to gatekeep Drs in this way when I assume the Drs have no idea how potential patients are being treated. I emailed over a week prior and received a call back a few days later. The front office member wasn't clear on the membership criteria or breakdown and kept repeating for me to 'read the email I've sent you' which she forwarded during the call to further avoid having to explain. The crux of if seemed to be that she didn't understand the fee structure or insurance component herself so continually repeated the same line to read the email. Realizing that she wasn't going to help me, she said 'I'll get someone else to call you back'. I've not been called back in over 1 week and have been consistently ignored when I've tried to email follow up (6 times). This front office associate was curt, passive aggressive and extremely unhelpful- exactly the opposite of a positive front desk interaction with a potential patient looking for specific care. I'd been referred to this Dr from another one and would have loved to have seen her. Unfortunately, it's not possible due to her front office staff. Posting this review in the hope that she will see it and investigate how her staff are treating potential (and likely existing) patients. I'm fairly confident the Dr would be appalled at them ruining the reputation of her business. I would recommend her recording calls and monitoring emails. Attaching the 6 follow ups without response for people to see.

During my most recent visit, multiple surfaces and items in the room were visibly dirty -- including the exam chair, the stirrup covers, and even the wall. There was also a large open jar of numbing compound that appeared discolored and had residue smeared in several areas around the room. These are basic hygiene issues that should be taken seriously in any medical setting. I reached out privately to the office hoping to share these concerns directly and ask where to send photos, but instead of addressing the situation, my patient portal access was suddenly deactivated. That was extremely disappointing, especially since I was trying to communicate respectfully and privately. In addition to the cleanliness concerns, wait times at every appointment were consistently long, even when I was scheduled first thing in the morning ( I was reassured that I would be seen as long as I booked the first appointment. Not only did that never happen, but I was told while I was in the room ready to be examined that she was on her way to work. I often waited over an hour before being seen, and the office frequently seemed disorganized. There was also very little communication regarding care, no notes were provided or printed, and when I asked for clarity on certain medical information, I was simply told to "google it." Everything felt SO RUSHED!!! I genuinely tried to resolve this directly with the clinic before posting here, but being blocked from my own portal left me with no other way to make my experience known. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the hygiene standards and communication with patients moving forward. Lastly, if you get anything done here, please make sure to have them check your insurance first. I paid a lot of money out of pocket and I didn't get any clear communication on why that wasn't under my insurance. ..

I was referred to this doctor for convenience, but my experience was upsetting and fear-inducing…read more After recovering from BV, I came in for a first time checkup. He said my Pap smear was "slightly abnormal" and immediately ordered a COLPOSCOPY without testing for HPV or explaining what "slightly abnormal" meant. Not to mention I am only 25 years old. He told me I "probably have HPV and it could be cancerous," which left me in tears after the appointment. A colposcopy is invasive and usually recommended based on the severity of results and confirmed high-risk HPV -- neither of which were explained or confirmed in my case. I sought a second opinion from my female gynecologist back home, had a full STD and HPV panel done, and everything came back completely normal. No further procedures were needed. I left feeling scared and pressured rather than informed or cared for. I would not recommend this doctor based on my experience.

But he has certainly earned it with me over time. Pros: -He is exceptional at answering questions in person and making sure you fully understand the answers. -He helped me discover that my increasing migraines were linked to the hormonal birth control I was on and he was helpful in attempts to find a decent replacement that fit for me (when I was in need of BC). -Office staff have over all been very kind. -I had a miscarriage scare recently and he went above and beyond to help me understand the situation and what I could expect going forward. Cons: -Luckily I am still pregnant but since Dr. Rabin no longer delivers, I will have to find a new OBGYN for the next year at least. -His brand of humor may be off putting to some people. -I did have to follow up frequently whenever I need to make an appointment for sudden issues like UTIs and YIs. -Parking for the building he is located in sucks. I always leave extra early to allow time for circling to find a spot.

Wonderful Dr! I wish I had found Dr Weiss in 2007 when my previous Dr retired. Now I'm…read moredisappointed that Dr Weiss retired (and I never even received any notification of such!). He's your "good 'ol fashion Dr"....returns phone calls, calls with test results, takes handwritten notes and brings them in to the exam room with him so he's up to date. Patients are made to feel like they matter and are individuals. Difficult to find a replacement! Enjoy retirement!

Such a nice beginning. Our initial consultation went fine. Dr Weiss was highly recommended from my…read morefriend who just had twins. He did an internal exam. Dr Weiss then told me I needed several surgeries to repair a tear from my prior hysterectomy. He said there was still uterine tissue forming that was hanging and would eventually fall down... and OUT of me. He drew images on a paper of the hanging tissue that was folded and would soon start scarring and eventually drop...blah blah blah. I was so scared. Dr Peter Weiss wrote down appointments and a a phone number for surgeon for an "emergency repair". I got in my car and just starteted crying. I'd already been through a year of miscarriage, tumors, and early hysterectomy. All this left me lost, incredibly sad, and left me in mourning for what never would be. Fortunately, one of my dearest friends knew a famous doctor, personally. She got me an appointment that week. The new doctor took images, and did a full exam. She said there was NO EVIDENCE of any such issue. I DID NOT NEED SURGERY. Get a Second Opnion. How scammy!
