it's taken me years to write this review but i know it's important that i do. i went to dr.finke because i thought i might be pregnant (nauseous, sore breasts, late period are all symptoms i informed him of). i had taken an inconclusive test at home. dr.finke took my blood and urine, but only used the blood test to test my thyroid, and ordered an internal ultrasound. he didn't test my blood or my urine for pregnancy. from the internal ultrasound he said i wasn't pregnant but was just depressed and needed to lose weight and gave my a prescription for metformin for weight loss. i got a second opinion, and i was pregnant. i tried following up with him but he evaded all of my calls and i was never able to get him on the phone. he put me in danger and took no responsibility. a gyno who can't even diagnose a pregnancy shouldn't be practicing. read more

I was referred by a friend. My last two pregnancies resulted in miscarriages and I was unhappy with how my provider handled them, so I was looking for a new OB when I got a positive pregnancy test this time. I was happy to have found a doctor recommended by someone I trust. I called the day I got a positive pregnancy test, and the office scheduled a visit 2.5 weeks later, his first available appointment for a new patient. I started experiencing horrible morning sickness and called to request a prescription or an earlier appointment with the doctor. I was told they could not see me for at least 5 days, even after I explained that I was hospitalized for hyperemesis during my last pregnancy. The receptionist kept telling me I "wasn't a patient yet" so they couldn't help me. I was trying to be a patient! I am upset that I need to start back at square one looking for a new OB. read more

Dr. Finke delivered my 2nd baby and from the beginning of the pregnancy to the end (and postpartum) he has been wonderful! He has great bedside manner and is a sweet and genuine doctor. He is a busy doctor but takes the time to sit down during each appointment to answer questions/concerns. Delivery was incredibly smooth, his plan for the induction was as easy as it could be. His postpartum care was also great, he was extremely attentive when I wasn't feeling great and was quick to prescribe a round of antibiotics that had me feeling better in a few days. It almost feels silly to write a Yelp review for a doctor who's meant so much in your life. Dr. Finke delivered both of my babies in flawless, beautiful births, saw me through difficult pregnancies, and was incredibly compassionate in painful miscarriages. He's very busy and in demand and that can be frustrating sometimes with wait times etc., but he's worth it. I've sent all my friends to him and the last thing he needs is a 5 star review to get him more patients, he has plenty! I am in complete shock that I am writing this. I had utter respect and reverence for Dr. Finke. He guided me through a miscarriage and cervical cancer. As a fellow physician, I was always respectful, punctual, and paid my bills. Finding the right gynecologist took me years. Once I found Dr. Finke, I referred all my patients and friends to him. OB GYN is a stressful field, so I empathize, but I do not empathize with disrespect, lack of compassion, and firing a patient without investigation. The insurance system forces doctors to see patients every 15 minutes, which I understand, so I started a private practice without insurance to ensure my patients feel cared for. I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent visit to Dr. Finke's office. As a long-term patient who referred many new patients, I was shocked by the unprofessional and rude behavior of the staff. There was a scheduling mix-up for my 3 PM appointment; I was told it was the previous day. Despite this possibly being a mistake on my part or Evelyn's, the way Yvonne and Kathy treated me was unacceptable. Please review my history and note I have never missed an appointment or been late. Upon checking in, I was informed I wasn't on the schedule. I explained my situation and asked to see the doctor due to my tight schedule. The front desk advised me to go to the back, where Dr. Finke greeted me kindly. I was supposed to talk to Evelyn, but either Yvonne or Kathy called me over. As soon as I started talking, one of them said, "Stop screaming at me," which was incorrect. I was calmly explaining the situation. This false accusation was humiliating and dismissive. The couple next to me immediately stopped talking and stared at me. Despite my calm efforts to resolve the issue, Yvonne insisted I was yelling, and another staff member joined in, worsening the situation. Their behavior was unprofessional and upsetting. In frustration I told Yvonne se was not qualified to work there and then I was accused of threatening them?. They continued arguing with me as I tried to resolve my issue, leaving me feeling embarrassed and disrespected. As a doctor, I understand the importance of patient care and the impact of negative experiences on health and well-being. Yvonne and Kathy were extremely dismissive, making me out to be a "Karen" when I was simply asking about my appointment. It appears Dr. Finke only cares for obstetrics patients or those who follow the system without questions. Unfortunately, it seems we're heading towards a concierge system where only non-insurance patients feel seen and heard. I do not pay nearly $600 per month in health insurance to be berated and then fired after their employee cussed me out. They all teamed up, leaving the single female patient to fend for herself. I did not have a husband or boyfriend there to corroborate the horrible treatment I received. But I am not letting this go. They will be reported to the medical board of California and many other organizations because if I do not stand up for myself, no one else will! I reached out to Sherri Barnes - office manager about the issues and rather than investigate or even show me any compassion as the patient she immediately told me I was lying and that her staff was telling the truth. Please see the attached letters I received attached to this review. She accused me of threatening her staff and that is a big deal to accuse anyone of that - but am praying they have camera and audio surveillance. Because it will show that I did not talk to Evelyn at all and that Yvonne was berating me. I came home today after a long day of serving my patients to find my first-ever certified mail from Dr. Finke firing me. During the time he helped me through a miscarriage and cervical cancer, he never showed such interest in contacting me. But he seemed eager to press "Print" on this certified mail firing me. I will fight for my rights as a patient and not allow this to happen again, not to me or my patients, and hopefully change the system at Women's Care of Beverly Hills so they can respect and treat their patients properly. Please understand the severity of this issue and the profound disappointment it has caused me. It is vital for the integrity of medical practice that such behavior is addressed. I hope this review will lead to: 1. Me getting the apology I deserve. 2. Helping other women choose their doctors wisely. 3. Highlighting the problems with clinics accepting insurance and the broken system, leading doctors and clinics to lack compassion. 4. Helping me find the right gynecologist who cares about me and accepts my money. 5. Ensuring Yvonne and Kathy receive proper training or are fired. Dr. Finke is absolutely brilliant and everything you didn't even know you could dream of in a gynecologist, obgyn! Dr. Finke can be serious when called for but also has the best sense of humor. I've recommended friends and they all have had excellent experiences with Dr. Finke. Together after thinking through all options Dr. Finke and I decided on a planned C-section. The reason for this was, and nobody tells you this going in to labor, induction to induce natural labor is the worst. Their is nothing natural about being induces into labor. And while later I would realize after being induces (with a different doctor) with my last birth that men absolutely had to have made induced labor drugs and induction machines... likely to further torture woman... I told Finke I never want to experience those horrid machines again. And so this time with Finke everything was planned, scheduled and perfect! Dr. Finke even recommended I create a playlist for the occasion of giving birth. Sting Fields of Gold was babies first song post womb. Dr. Finke can be serious when called for but also has the best sense of humor. I've recommended friends and they all have had excellent experiences with Dr. Finke. Of note: I switched to Dr. Finke and treasure his affiliation with Cedar Sinai especially since during my last pregnancy with a different hospital affiliation (before I was at UCLA Santa Monica).I got mrsa! and due to the hospital UCLA/different doctor i almost died. I had to self advocate and find help my own. UCLA cleared me when I was going sepsis and mrsa spread to my organs. As a result I was on antibiotics with a heart pic for 3 months due to UCLA! Don't go to UCLA. Go with Cedar and Finke. Cedar Sinai and Finke are kind, empathize, listen, explain exactly what will happen and put moms, babies and emergencies first. On rare super rare chance of having to reschedule... So if a doctor has to reschedule because a fellow female goes into labor (happened 1x in 9 years) I am ok with that because it could have been me. read more

Dr. Finke is one of those people who was put on this earth to be a doctor. It didn't just happen - this was his purpose. I had two previous c sections which unfortunately didn't go so well. I had pain walking afterwards and the aesthetic outcome wasn't what I had hoped for. I had the area fixed by a plastic surgeon soon after my second c-section, but decided to have another child almost a decade later. That same plastic surgeon who repaired me suggested I go to David Finke when I told him I was pregnant again... but I was scared to do so because I loved my OB. But for some reason, I couldn't get a hold of my doctors office that week, so I decided maybe it's meant to be and scheduled a consult later that week with Finke. During our initial consult, Dr. Finke exuded knowledge and confidence in his surgical plan if I chose to go with him to prevent the same thing from happening again. He and his staff were super friendly so I felt comfortable enough to switch from my previous OB who I love and adore. I'm 3 days out from my c-section and I will say that my experience has been nothing short of spectacular. Although Dr. Finke is probably one of the busiest ob/gyns in this city and he can't spend more than 5-7 mins during clinic visits with you, the man gave his all in the OR. My husband who comes from a family of doctors was in total awe of his surgical skill and meticulousness in my surgery. I noticed I was in there over twice as long as my 2 previous c-sections. Dr. Finke truly took his time and cares about the quality of his work which speaks volumes about him as a person. I was walking unassisted by the night of my surgery which is a far cry from the first two surgeries and pain relatively low. Beverly Hills is full of amazing ob/gyns, but if you know you're having a c-section, I'd say Dr. Finke is your man. Forever grateful for him for bringing our son safely into this world while simultaneously looking out for mommy. Here I am 8 years later feeling the same way I did 8 years ago about my dearest Dr. Finke. I experienced my first pregnancy with him and he delivered my daughter April 2021 during the pandemic. He was very patient with me and adhered to all of my desires during my pregnancy and birth. I told him I wanted to "catch" or "guide" my baby out similar to Kourtney Kardashian's birth. We both had a good laugh about this request! Lol! But, when it was time he remembered, got my attention, and I was able to catch my little girl. He really is amazing and heaven sent. Sadly, I have changed employers which came with a change in my insurance. So, needless to say, I am stressed about the idea of leaving Dr. Finke. However, I am considering becoming a cash patient. Posting this breaks my heart, because I actually like the doctor quite a bit. However, his support staff is terrible. Last year I waited for well over an hour and a half for the doctor to return from delivering a baby. At no point did the reception desk tell me the doctor might be running late ahead of time allowing me to reschedule. I was only able to get about 70% of my appointment handled as I had to go to work. In order to finish the appointment, I would have to cover the entire office expense out of pocket even though it was at no fault of my own. Today now that I'm allowed to get my annual exam, I had to cancel due to a fire set in my apartment. I was then told I had to pay $100 for a same-day cancellation. At the time of booking my appointment the receptionist did not tell me they were same-day cancellation fees. At all even in my reminder that was sent via text. There is no mention of a fee this office has put me out twice now, and the receptionist said well generally, I tell people about the cancellation fee. This office takes no accountability for their poor work ethic and quite frankly lazy behavior. I really love this doctor however, when the support staff cannot do the most basic portion of their job, how can I feel confident that my tests and my labs are going to be handled properly and the answer is I can't. read more

I was a bit hesitant going the Dr Finke at first, not sure whether to believe all the high ratings or not but decided to give him a try. Straight away, I really enjoyed my 1st meeting with him. Previous obgyn's I've been to were either really high energy or very stern, no personality. Dr finke is just perfect for me. He didn't talk too much and didn't talk too little where I would have to keep asking more follow up questions! I was initially planning on giving birth in my home country and made Dr Finke aware of my plans. He was very understanding and also accommodating. He took very good care of me throughout my pregnancy. Closer towards my pregnancy at around 34 weeks when I was deciding whether to go back or not, I decided not to as I think I would have been bored out of my mind in my country for 4 months and the thought of traveling back alone with baby is just scary! Haha. Dr Finke was again, very understanding and continued to take care of me, delivering my baby. Delivery was very smooth and easy. I had a c section cos the cord was around my baby's neck. My surgery scars are healing nicely and everyone at the office has been really helpful and friendly throughout my pregnancy and even after delivery. Thank you Dr Finke! We will definitely be continuing with him and will highly recommend him to everyone we know! read more

Dr. Finke delivered my first child and will deliver my next one and all my babies. He is an absolutely brilliant doctor and, after a very traumatic birth, I was blown away by how fast my recovery was. He was so calm throughout the entire thing and not once let me know there was cause for concern, despite it being a very difficult and long labor. He has a confidence that puts you at complete ease but manages to do so without any ego. His bedside manner is impeccable. He is a truly kind, genuine, compassionate and caring man and he has helped me through very challenging times throughout my pregnancies. He is busy for sure, there is a reason for that; He's incredible. And he clearly has a lot of patients because his reputation as the best is so accurate. But if you tell him you're struggling with something or try to talk to him he is almost like a therapist. He genuinely cares about your physical and emotional state and listens with zero judgment and complete understanding. My husband loves him as well and feels like we got so lucky finding him. His staff is incredible, especially Sylvia. They are all so kind and positive people and while I live a good 40 minute drive from his office, I've never had a negative experience there. In fact, I quite look forward to going there. I feel so grateful to have found such a brilliant doctor who has such an enormous heart as well. I'll be forever grateful to him for guiding and supporting me through this crazy rollercoaster of pregnancies, birthing and postpartum. read more

I was referred to Dr. Finke through my primary care physician physican. I called their office on a Wednesday afternoon requesting an emergency visit on Thursday and they squeezed me in. I was shocked because I know how busy this office typically is. Thursday came along and after filling out paperwork, I waited about 10 minutes before getting called in. After getting weighed and going over my medical history with the MA, Dr. Finke introduced himself and showed me to his private office where we spent about 20 minutes getting to know me. He took the time to answer all my questions without rushing.. The staff here is lovely and Dr. Finke is a great physician. Although we're not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon, I would definitely want him to deliver my future babies. He not only took me as an emergency patient the day after I called, but asked if I can come back during his lunch break on Friday to make sure I was doing okay.. I came across Dr.Finke via Yelp! And all I can say is I am so glad I did. From the moment I met him I knew he was the one I wanted to choose to deliver my baby. He was very informative always answered all my questions. I am a first time mom so I had so many questions and I constantly emailed him and he responded right away. If I ever had a scare I would call the office and they would see me right away. The staff is absolutely amazing and friendly. Every visit was pleasant and quick! Everything he estimated about my delivery was on point! I ended up having a c section and was a bit nervous but he made every step of the surgery as pleasant as possible. His after care was amazing and the staff at cedars also love him and have great things to say about him! So if you are looking for a obgyn I would definitely recommend him! Don't get me wrong. I like the Dr. My appointment was on Saturday 12:30pm. I got a call 2 days ahead of my appointment day that Dr. Finke was going to be out of the office so I'd have to be rescheduled. I rescheduled it for the following Saturday. Now, this is understandable. The day of the appointment, I got another call 2 hours before asking if I can come in 15-30 minutes early since Dr. Finke had a few cancellations. So I went in at 12:15pm instead of 12:30pm. The front desk lady told me to go to the checkout and proceed with payment/deposit first for my visit. So I headed over to the checkout counter and made a payment. The lady was very flat. When I said Thank you after the transaction she immediately said "NEXT" to the people behind me. lol... I was brought inside to get my blood pressure and urine test done before seeing the Dr. I could hear the employees talking "2 patients left.", "almost done", "did Dr --- leave" since the music was completely turned off because they were "almost done." If you know that there are 2 patients left, why would you turn the music off? I was brought into a room to see the Dr after and was in the room waiting for the Dr to come in. I think for the most women, that would be the most nerve racking part of the visit when you are waiting in the room alone half naked. I heard "1 patient left!" in a very loud, clear and joyful tone. Gosh. Might as well just tell me in my face that I'm making you guys stay at work late. During the whole time I was in the room getting stuff done, there was no music so it was a bit awkward. I turned on my own music on on my phone to calm myself down during the treatment. After the treatment, the Dr left the room and I was waiting for the nurse to leave the room so I can get dressed. Instead of leaving the room, the nurse started cleaning the equipment that was used and throwing away the trash and etc. First, I thought she was there to help me but Nope she started rinsing the equipment in the sink. I had to get dressed and put on a pad while she was in the room. At that point, I was just SO over it. Ugh. I've been to Women's care of BH total of 3 times now and I can see that the office is pretty busy. But guess what? I'm a very busy person too and I've taken my time out on a Saturday to see a Dr when especially in this case was rescheduled to accommodate the Dr's schedule. It doesn't matter how many patients are left in the office. You'll have to treat every patient (even the very last one) as if they are the only patients of that day. Overall, this visit left me a bitter taste in my mouth and it's unfortunate because I have no harsh feeling towards Dr. Finke. OH and they do not validate parking. Last time I paid $13 and this time was $7. read more

Dr. Finke guided me through my first pregnancy and birth. At all times he was caring and honest and had a great bedside manner. As a first time mother, I was nervous throughout my pregnancy and not once did Dr. Finke ever make me feel that my concerns were invalid. He never dismissed them as "first time mom jitters" and always invited me into his office with open arms to reassure me. When it came time for delivery, he checked in on me both in the morning when I was admitted for induction/augmentation, in the evening before it was push time, and then came in during the last 30 minutes of pushing to deliver our baby girl. I felt completely taken care of under Dr. Finke's expert care. His office is incredibly busy but I was always seen on time and never was forced to wait for unreasonable amounts of time for my appointment. I have recommended Dr. Finke to my colleagues, and they had exactly the same experience with him and his nurses. He is truly as good as it gets. read more

I could not thank enough for my little miracle LO is turning 6 month soon ;healthy baby boy . I had wonderful experience and my c- section scar is so small and barely visible. Finke is a very warm doctor with a great bedside manner. Most doulas would highly recommend him so I decided to go with him for my pregnancy. Big mistake. It really wasn't what I was looking for. I wanted more personal care. Less busy practice.i wanted to avoid having a c section. And this place is the opposite. If you want a dr that is going to know your chart inside out, this isn't the place for you. It's super busy and I never felt like enough time was spent with me I also didn't like how the dr didn't do the ultrasound himself (although I was willing to live with that since this place is highly recommended) On the day of delivery, I got talked into a c section because the doctor had to leave for a personal vacation at 8 am, and I was still pushing at 6 am. He gave me some excuse that after much research and talking to other ppl in the field was b.s. my daughter's head diameter was super small nearly in the tenth percentile and I was fully dilated and fully effaced already. But what is the clincher is that my recovery was the absolute worst. More than 15 weeks and when I called to complain about my pain, no one in that office cared or wanted to help me. I ended up seeking help elsewhere. I'm not sure what happened during the surgery if they were in the biggest hurry ever. If the resident screwed up. If there were adhesions after. It's been 8 years since I had my boy. I picked Dr. David Finke based on the reviews and his affiliation to Cedars Sinai hospital. On his page he basically emphasized on his low static record for C-sections...a pretty low percentage that he brags about. I thought this sounded good. But his statistics almost killed me and my child, he only cared about having a low percentage level for C-sections therefore. I was induced for 30 hours, he was forcing my body and my child for natural labor, all the nurses were frustrated and one of the Nurses asked me how big I was told my boy was and I said about 7.5lbs amd she said he feels much bigger, they broke my water, my baby has already pooped but left me like that for another 12 hours, than they filled my sack with water again and continued to monitor me, I just wasn't dilating enough and they couldn't increase the meds because my heart beat would raise and my son's heart beat would slow down drastically. I was already 2 weeks past my due date, I finally screamed to please cut me open after 30hrs of being induced and my child was 10lbs 2oz and 23" long, there was no way I could have natural labor, then my son had to have surgery at 8mos for deformation to the head (Crainalsinostosis). I have hesitated for years to write this review because it will get deleted, I saw another mother posting one very similar to mine that was shortly, there are a lot of great Doctors PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH FINKE. read more

Dr. Finke is a wonderful doctor, and Women's Care of Beverly Hills is a great practice. I searched high and low for a doctor that wouldn't treat me like a porcelain doll just because I was pregnant, and Dr. Finke was everything I was looking for. He also has a great bedside manner. My husband was initially apprehensive of me having a male doctor, but after our first appointment with him, my husband was also in love. Although the practice is busy, I rarely had to wait. In my whole pregnancy I only recall having to wait 30 minutes one time. Which, as someone who works crazy hours, was extremely appreciated. I also suffered from postpartum depression after my pregnancy, and Dr. Finke helped me identify it, and provided me with a lot of resources to help me get better. Terrible experience. I didn't meet the doctor. I was kept waiting over 30 minutes. Everyone else in the waiting room was seen and I was told they were waiting for a room for me. So I left. Then the nurse calls me and says I only had been waiting 8 minutes. Mmm nope. I was here early to do your paperwork. I purposely asked the front desk, upon receipt of paperwork, if I should turn it in or wait for the doctor. She said if they don't call me back first I could turn it in. I finished and saw a line of people at the desk, so I waited. About 2:15 I turned in the forms. Receptionist took paperwork wordlessly as she was on the phone. I would never come back to this practice. My sister goes here and loves it but I was an awful time. Stay away. First time I tried to go here the fire alarm was going off. They had no estimate on when operations would resume so I left that day. No one followed up with me then. I should have known. read more

Dr. Finke is the most incredible doctor I have ever had! After interviewing countless doctors to deliver my babies, from the moment I met Dr. Finke, I knew he was "the one." He is very wise, yet has this very personable and charming demeanor which makes you feel totally at ease even during an exam, which used to be uncomftable getting examined is usually uncomfortable with previous doctors. He is really cool with the best bedside manner ever! I feel so lucky to have him as my Doctor and I look forward to appointments with him just for the opportunity to catch up with him. How can I possibly love a doctor more? Dr. Finke is FANTASTIC! I literally want to have another baby just to have him deliver it. He is so knowledgeable, so kind, patient and has a great sense of humor. With every visit I felt more informed and I was always treated extremely well. He makes time to answer any and all questions and actually makes the check ups fun. Even in the delivery room we were all laughing together and he made me feel very calm and at ease. My husband even says that as soon as I saw Dr. Finke's face at the hospital he could tell that's when I started to relax. I also cannot say enough wonderful things about his nurse Sylvia, she is simply the BEST! The whole staff there is polite and caring. You will not be disappointed! read more

Dr. Finke saved my life. LITERALLY. i had a prestigious gyno in town, a teacher to students at cedars sinai, a big shot if you will, and when i seemed to have a lump where it shouldnt be she told me to put some cream on it and it would be fine. two days later when i was screaming in agony, delirious, and even unable to get myself to a doctor safely, my mother, in another state, called the women's care office and asked if she could send her daughter (me) over immediately. Dr. Finke was very new there at the time and his patient list wasnt as extensive yet. but he took me right in. i had something called MRSA and for those of you that havent heard of it, lets just say that it kills people every single day. its an infection that is resistant to antibiotics, and its horrifying. and you can get it ANYWHERE on your body. i wont get into any awful specifics of the HORROR i went through, but after local anesthetics wore off from my office visit and i couldnt stop screaming i called and he told me to go to the hospital and he would meet me there immediately. i arrived at cedars sinai which may be the worst hospital ever, especially the ER, but he was there as promised. it had gotten ten times worse in just the few hours after i saw him. i was admitted to cedars for over a week. and like clockwork he left his office every single day to come to the hospital and check on me and go over my progress. eventually i recovered. after a week of hell, and it took weeks later for my body to fully recover and months til my mind did, but if i hadnt ended up in his office that day i would have died. and its really a miracle i didnt die. when a woman that probably TAUGHT him sent me home with a cream, he saw the MRSA and knew instantly what it was and what had to be done. for someone who was brand new to a practice it was almost unheard of to see something as rare as MRSA and know exactly what to do. after such a personal ordeal such as that i consider this man a good friend. and even though i may only see him once every few months, i literally look forward to it. i know im in good hands. he is extremely thorough, personable, goes over all options, and seriously, he is SO easy to talk to. and some doctors make me nervous, almost like i feel embarrassed to tell them even why i am there. but not Dr. Finke. i could tell him why the sky is blue and he would listen. i should tell you all to stay at home so i can still get in to see him when i go back next! but i would be stopping any person who reads this from finding a doctor to truly keep for the rest of your life. I love love love Dr. Finke. I am so incredibly happy that I decided to give my previous gynecologist the boot and interview others. From the moment Dr. Finke and I started talking, I knew he was the doctor for me. He has a laid back casual approach that I enjoy. I feel like I can be myself and ask silly questions and there is no judgement, a positive vibe and always a few laughs. I am long overdue in this review. Dr. Finke helped me with fertility issues, performed two surgeries and will soon deliver my first child. I trust him completely and always feel that he has always had my best interest at heart. The office is always packed, and at times you can spend a bit of time waiting on the phone to make appointments, etc. but that's what happens when some of the best doctors are in the same group. read more

Dr. Finke delivered our baby boy 10 days ago and I have nothing but great things to say about him. He's compassionate, has great bedside manner, and for being so young it's like he has 30 yrs worth of experience. The way my birth story unfolded, I was very happy with all the choices made and thankful to have Dr. Finke (along with my doula) by our side. Everything beginning with our prenatal visits to our delivery have been exemplary. If only all doctors were like Dr. Finke.... I would recommend him in a heartbeat and wouldn't think about switching doctors if we have a second baby. We love Dr. Finke to pieces!! UPDATE 8/31/2017: After 3.5 years, Dr. Finke delivered our 2nd baby 9 days ago and he is still ALL the things I said in my original review. When we arrived at Cedars, many nurses like to ask who your doctor is. At the mention of "Dr. Finke" their faces light up with a genuine smile and immediately say, "Ohh, Dr. Finke! I like him!" My husband works in health care and he says the nurses responses are genuine - if there was a doctor they didn't like you would immediately know. So, not only is Dr. Finke well loved by his patients, but he's also well liked and respected by the nurses and other doctors at Cedars, which is comforting. This may be our last baby, but I will continue to see Dr. Finke for annuals. There is no other OB/GYN I'd want to go to. First let me say that I was beyond picky with choosing our obstetrician. We had first thought we were going to go with a midwife for prenatal care and after a scare where they did not have the equipment at hand to let us know if our baby was ok, we decided to look for another option. I literally looked up reviews and background on every single doctor in our insurance network. Dr. Finke's reviews and stats spoke volumes and we were not disappointed. We both feel as though we have found an amazing doctor. Before we could go into how we wanted a natural birth, no induction, no epidural, no c-section, etc etc etc he explained his perspective on birthing; how he believes in letting things happen as naturally as possible; how he has an extremely low induction rate and c-section rate as well. Those he reserves for extreme last measures. Exactly what we were hoping for. Dr Finke put us at ease and answered every single question we were prepared to ask (and there were LOTS!) before we could ask them; not only regarding birth but the pregnancy in general. I felt so much was brought to light- even concerns I didn't know I would have in the coming months, were addressed. My darling other half was speechless for the first time in a situation like this; he usually has 50 million overly detailed questions so this was impressive! haha I also loved that Dr Finke is available to reach via email with non urgent questions and by phone for urgent concerns. This is definitely a doctor that loves what he does and cares about his patients. I'm so grateful we found him. Ultimately, we opted for Dr. Finke for our prenatal care and then to labor at home with a doula followed by a midwife assisted birth at UCLA Midwives. This was the perfect combination for us. A few things to be aware of... We had randomly heard from midwives at Cedars that Dr Finke is known as a very "hands off" doctor which is nice. He does recommend flu vaccines and the Whooping cough vaccine for pregnant women which we really did not want to do and opted not to do just yet. Other than this, he was amazingly understanding and very open to all concerns. Update: We went into labor a few months early & I wish we had Dr Finke there! The ucla midwives do not deliver before 36 weeks unfortunately, so we while we did get assigned an amazing high risk ob, we still had to deal with inexperienced residents- a frustration we did not need at that time. I've been going to Women's Care of Beverly Hills for a few years. My regular doctor, Dr. Gilberg-Lenz is a great doctor. She is out of the office on Fridays though, so when I called to speak to a doctor recently, they put me in contact with Dr. David Finke. He was very helpful over the phone, and sounded friendly and professional. He was also available for a Saturday appointment since he is newer to this office... so I agreed to see him rather than wait for my regular doctor (yay... didn't have to take time off work to go to the doctor!) The appointment was punctual, started within 5 minutes of the set time. No one else was in the office at the time, so I felt like I had a private appointment... which was really nice. My visit could not have gone better. Dr. Finke has one of the best bedside manners of any doctor I've seen. He had a great rapport with his nurse, she clearly enjoyed working with him and that made me even more comfortable with the situation. (Especially since I had never gone to a male ob/gyn before.) Going to the ob/gyn is never fun, but it certainly helps when the doctor you are seeing instills instant trust in his patients. Dr. Finke is a discerning doctor. He is young, which some women may not like, but I would have no trouble trusting his experience/abilities in any ob/gyn procedure... he's on top of it for sure! And he is clearly interested in caring for his patients with the utmost professionalism and kindness. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends and I would go back to him any time my doctor is not available. read more

I'm glad I did my research for my lady parts doctor! I switched my insurance plans just to be able to see this guy! Dr. Finke, is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. He made both myself and my husband feel SO comfortable (went in for a preconception consultation and also a lady parts exam.) Both myself and my husband hate going to the doctor. Anything medical, I'm over it. I get light headed even hearing the words "blood work" and "lab". My blood pressure goes sky high and I start to panic and go into fight or flight mode. Not the best idea, but not the case at all here. I felt like I was on The Price is Right when they unveil the prizes (Bob Barker version of course.) Things kept getting nicer and nicer, from the ease of finding a parking spot three blocks away, to filling out my intake sheet, to the friendliness of the staff, right down to meeting Dr. Finke, and hearing him telling me that I'm doing a great job for losing 20 lbs (HIS WORDS!!!!) had me in tears. The good kind. I am just so tired of being treated like shit (from fat shaming to doctors thinking I was first in line at McDonald's every day and asking if i knew what Trader Joe's was, to accusing my husband of being a slut because he's a musician (!!!)) by doctors. I was so relieved to have found him. I also wanted to keep screaming "WHAT?! WHAAAAT?!" I honestly could not believe my luck in finding him. I EVEN ENJOYED GETTING BLOOD DRAWN. Dr. Finke, is warm and friendly. He explains things clearly , does not dumb it down one bit and is a super ace. He's got good beside manners and is super professional. He didn't flinch when I said I wasnt sure that we could afford to get genetic testing done just yet. He actually calculated how much it would cost us and I thought that was super cool. He was very patient with me, and all my paranoid/borderline dumb questions I had to get out of the way. Dr. Finke even called me personally to explain my lab results. AWESOME! My husband even said he trusts him, and is jealous he can't be his doctor too. Hahaha! The wait time for my appointment was nothing at all. I got there early, filled out the necessary paper work, then asked to use the restroom, then they took me in! Parking costs about $17 to park in the garage there, so just hoof it three blocks south of the building and make a left and there is free two hour parking. I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE DR. All the reviews are spot on. I chose Dr. Finke based on his Yelp reviews after moving back to L.A. 20 weeks pregnant. I love his easy going personality and his warmth. He helped me through my nerve ridden pregnancy and delivered my beautiful, baby boy. Dr. Finke is very compassionate and supportive. Update: I had a health scare. Dr. Finke made time to see me right away, did all the biopsies necessary, got a second opinion on my results with an oncologist, and kept me in the loop. All is well, thank goodness. I really appreciate how Dr. Finke handled the situation with kid gloves, since he knows how anxious I am. read more

Dr. Finke can make anyone feel so comfortable at any given moment. He has the best energy and he seriously loves what he does. He is very knowledgable and goes out of his way to make sure you understand everything. He is one of the few doctors that even goes to the office to work on Saturdays! Talk about passionate! Dr. Finke just delivered our second baby girl and just like the first it was a beautiful and amazing experience. Dr. Finke delivered my wife's best friend at 5am and then my wife at 9:45pm that same day. He is truly super man. Such a caring and amazing dr. He has become like family to us.
