Saw Dr Quist for second opinion and in my opinion he has ZERO bedside manner and it's telling how…read morehis staff handles patients. I am a HCP and have worked with many doctors and I would not recommend Dr Quist to my loved ones or anyone for that matter. See below for my experience. I saw Dr Quist for second opinion on chronic reflux and swallowing difficulties. I had a horrible experience after my endoscopy. He didn't even consent me prior to endoscopy and I spoke to him for like 15 seconds while they wheeled me into the OR. After endoscopy, he told me his findings very quickly (while I was still waking up from the procedure) so I did not get to ask any questions. He literally stood at the doorway said my findings quickly and walked out. My first endoscopy (with another physician) they called my fiancé in the room prior to doctor explaining my findings. I also was never told by Dr Quist I would be extremely sore after procedure (took multiple biopsies) and for several days it was EXTREMELY painful to swallow (did not have this with first endoscopy with another GI specialist). Sometime after my endoscopy procedure I called in due to having RUQ pain and concerned about my gallbladder and received a call back from his assistant who told me to complete abdominal ultrasound and HIDA scan. I completed ultrasound which showed an enlarged liver which he did not seem to be concerned about and I only ever talked to his assistant. Called by her a few days later about the biopsies and told my results and to take a medication and to make sure to keep my appointment. Well just received a call from the reception asking to move my appointment. She was extremely rude and condescending and ultimately read my results again on the phone and basically told me it's not worth coming in if I didn't do the HIDA scan or take the medications (I am actively trying to conceive which I told him at the initial appointment). Overall, i had very limited interactions with him and his staff was so rude to me when trying to reschedule my 6 week follow up the day of my appointment. It was a very poor experience right from the beginning. I am confused by the good reviews because my experience and treatment was so poor.

My experience with this rheumatology office was very frustrating. The office organization was poor…read moreon multiple occasions. My CT scans and bloodwork were not being printed or handled correctly, which made the process feel disorganized and stressful. The doctor did order some testing, including a muscle biopsy, but I did not feel that the biopsy process was coordinated well. There did not seem to be clear agreement between all of my doctors about which side/muscle should be biopsied. When the biopsy came back negative, the conclusion seemed to be that I did not have myositis, even though I had multiple other findings and symptoms that still needed to be explained. I left feeling dismissed and without a clear plan. I understand that a negative biopsy is important, but I expected a more thorough explanation of my abnormal markers, MRI findings, symptoms, and next steps. Overall, I did not feel this office was helpful for my situation.

I was very disappointed with my experience with Dr. Paul S. Lee a gastroenteritis. It took more…read morethan four weeks to receive the results of a CAT scan, and I had to call his office on three separate occasions requesting a return call. I understand that physicians are busy, and Dr. Lee's website indicates that he sees patients at six different locations. While I cannot know whether that contributed to the delay, it did leave me with the impression that his practice may be too busy to provide timely follow-up. In my opinion, waiting more than four weeks for test results and having to repeatedly contact the office for a response is unacceptable. Communication and timely follow-up are an important part of patient care, and unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the level of communication I received.
