I've only made one visit to this DaVi Nails location. We did a walk in visit and made it in just in the nick of time! They were closing soon, but they were still able to take us. Now there were other people sliding in KNOWING full well that they were closed. Don't be those people. My sister has been on the hunt for metallic shiny nails, not the mirror polish. We found out that they offered this at this salon and we both got the rose gold nails. We're in love. I love my other girl, but the smooth buffing and better coffin nail shaping I received made me fall in love. He also does great artwork and has all the rhinestones etc that you may want. While Donny was busy when we went in, but still addressed us, he opened up, was funny, cool and down to earth. I look forward to visiting with him again. They extremely overcharged me because I don't get fake nails or gel, so when I asked for a polish change with all ten designs, they gave me the runaround and made me wait forever. There is obviously someone who is very talented here as evidenced by the pictures. ..however not everyone is!! My nails look aweful. The spacing on rhinestones is uneven and there is acrylic left on all my fingers. You can still see the black underneath the chrome on the edges. OH, and the rhinestones aren't even like each finer should have had 1 more the left side of each nail. It's 5:44 on a Sunday so I will have to wait until tomorrow to have them done elsewhere...It was also about $30 more than I usually pay for the same service elsewhere. read more

I was not happy with the way my nails turned out.... I literally wanted to cry while sitting in the chair. They were wayyy too thick and I asked for coffin but she did square. When I asked her to fix the shape it got even worse because her coffin was not very good. The nail polish was unevenly coated. Well i am a nail diva. I will spend 100$ on my nails and feet if I must, so price isn't the problem. I am more than a mani/pedi chick. You have to dig into those untapped skills of acrylic to make me smile. Well I found the shop & the nail Tech (Donny) on Instagram. I texted the number and made my appointment for 2pm....I arrived around 1:50, being as though I decided to grab a pedicure. Well Im glad I did, there were two others in front of me. Usually I would have been pissed but I breathed, soaked my feet and waited. The lady who did my pedicure should honestly take a painting class. It wasn't smooth and there is nail polish in my cuticles. I opted to pay the 5$ more to get an callus remover and I could've done without. My feet rougher than they were before. Now on to the nails. They are pretty but I don't enjoy waiting 4 hours to get them done. I also don't enjoy when my nail tech is preoccupied with other things in the shop. It wasn't the best customer service not the worse but damn sure not the best. Once home I realized my nails still have that sticky feel but I've been doing this for years so I have some home stuff to fix it, BUT point being I shouldn't have to after paying damn near 70$. I get my nails, my eyelashes, my eyebrows,and pedicures done on a regular basis. The shop is very clean and sanitary. The staff is very warm and friendly and makes you feel at home the moment you walk in tbe door. All the staff members are highly skilled, but my favorite is Donghi. He is extremely talented and creative. My nails are very long and he always does exotic, one of a kind ,free hand desgns on my nail which are admired by all who come in contact with me. My nails, whether I use gel or acrylic actually last about 6-7 weeks before they need to be redone. My eyelash extensions last 3-4 weeks..Absolutely Amazing! First and Last time here, I advise you to go to a legit nail place that isn't inside a wal mart! I had her do a design and she fucked up so I asked her to just go solid. I went In for a fill,and she only replaced two nails of the coffin design. They do not match, the only thing I like is the nail color that I chose... This review is about Donny I can't really review the whole salon because it was my first time. So of course mask are required(duh) we should all know that by now. You go in wash your hands(make sure you put your phone away because that would defeat the whole purpose of washing your hands) anyway... my appointment was at 5:30 I was seen on time. I was yelled at in the nail shop today by Donny in front of other customers. If you're having a bad day, please don't bring it to work, it can affect the mood of your customers. Please also don't degrade them when they are still sitting in the shop. Donny is a great nail artist but I was not pleased by his customer service today. I was indecisive about how I wanted my nails and unfortunately he had to redo them twice. I ended up getting them done a third time with another nail tech ( who was wonderful!) and while she was doing them Donny decided to talk about how frustrated he was about my indecisiveness. I thought this was extremely unprofessional and decided not to react until he went on and on for no reason. My 14 year old daughter and I decided to take a chance and visit DaVi after reading the Yelp reviews and seeing Donny's work. He's very talented! We knew we wouldn't be able to see him because we were walk-ins on a Tuesday afternoon. But we were just getting gel manicures and figured it'd be fast. There were actually 3 women working. The salon is very small and a bit messy. If you're looking for a relaxing experience, this is not the place! Anyhoo, while we waited, one of the techs provided a bowl of acetone for me to pre-soak my gel manicure off, that sped up the process. These ladies are FAST! But for me, they are too fast! As soon as the gel polish was removed from my left hand, the tech started to clip my nails. She never asked me if I wanted my nails clipped or filed. By the time I looked at my hand, she was already on my index finger! And she cut my nails too short and cut all of my formerly-square edges inward, some of them are crooked! Maybe she was trying to make a short coffin shape? I dunno, there was no attention to detail whatsoever! No pushing back my cuticles or removal of dead skin. The manicure was really fast-I think all of it was done in about 25 min. My daughter said her tech was way too fast too and rushed through the process. After reading my review, Donny, the manager at DaVi nails reached out to me, and offered to make up for the horrible experience I had at his salon. I was grateful and accepted. He was amazing! My nails look beautiful and I even decided to give them another chance by purchasing a pedicure to go with my nails. Donnie got the shape and length perfect and he even included rhinestones on my nails as well. After looking at his wonderful work, I can't wait for him to experiment with designs and styles on my nails over the summer! They're conveniently located in the Walmart on 450. The first time I went a lady named Angie did my pedi, full set, and brows. The pedi was amazing as I got to pick what kind I wanted off the menu, full set was lovely and she did my brows to perfection. The next time I got the AMAZING Donny. The way he did my fill in without rush and paying attention to the small details I knew I found my new permanent nail tech. His designs and rhinestone art are all gorgeous. I went to Da-Vi Nails on Annapolis Road in Maryland, where Mimi is the one who owns it. I have been going there for years, but my visit on Friday will be my last one. I wear my own nails and have only recently started using a dip on my nails. Mimi manhandled my nails, didn't file them evenly, put a sore on one of my fingers, didn't shape up the dip to make my nails look good, and she complained the entire time. She actually said that she doesn't like doing 'dip, dip, dip', but she has no problem taking my $45.00 plus tip for a job not well done. She did my eyebrows for another $10.00 and held the mirror so far back so I couldn't see. I even heard her talking about me while sitting in front of me to another nail tech. She left the coat polish on my hands and told me to go home and wash them. This place is located inside of Walmart. I called on a Thursday and they told me to come right in. Not the cleanest place in the world but you get what you pay for here. I was seen right away. My services took just over an hour. I got a manicure and a pedicure. My lady was super detailed making sure that there was not a mm of cuticle left on my nail. The paint job was nice. They also had a great selection of gel colors. My complaints are that I told the lady she did not buff my nails well enough and I was correct because they kept snagging onto things over the next couple of days leading to my nails to break. She also told me that my pedicure was dry and when I got home they ended up being smudged. My fault too for not bringing flip flops. Not sure I would go again but they were pleasant. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would!! The worst experience ever. I usually go to another place in college park but had a nail emergency bc of my dip chipping. I asked the tech at DaVi to just soak the dip off and give me a gel manicure for the time being. She was so lazy and said soaking it will take too long so she just used an artificial nail to dig under the dip and peel them off taking all of my pinky nail with it, first mistake. She then gets the tweezer style nail clippers, clipped the length off of my thumb nail and then tried to make an opening between the dip and my nail bed for her to dig the fake nail through and clipped MY nail down the middle to which it bled. The tech then tells me to soak the wounded nail in ACETONE and that it will be ok to do, REALLY LADY!!! She then goes and retrieves another tech to soak off the rest of my nails to which that woman insists that she can fix the wound with acrylic. Yeah because that's EXACTLY what you do to a damaged and bleeding nail. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to the older woman whose station is near the sink/backroom, she is very lazy and careless. read more
