I have been a loyal Dave's Hot Chicken customer for about a year now. We've gone to many different locations. This is the first time we've been to this location, by far the worst experience I've had yet. Many other customers complaining about food quality, quantity and their employees health standards. The soda machine at the front of the restaurant was not usable the ice machine didn't work and all the soda was flat. My fries were completely flavorless. The cauliflower was breaded twice and Seasoned zero when we ordered light mild seasoning. It appeared that they wanted to break our teeth with how crunchy the breading was. More bang for buck with bites vs the large chunks. I absolutely hate the white bread. Not only that, the bread was stale. Give us a brioche bun or something. Bathroom lock didn't work, as someone walked in on me seated on the toilet. read more

Went on a Sunday around dinner time (5:30 pm) It wasn't too busy, short line and found plenty of seating inside. I got the sliders with fried (#2 meal) and i picked the "hot" for spice level. We also got the loaded fries as "hot". This was delicious. The "hot" was definitely hot but nothing hard to handle, unless you're bad with spice I recommend getting a lower spice level. The slaw was perfect and I loved the fries were fresh and hot. The loaded fries were delicious with a cheese sauce. Only thing I wish was to have more chicken pieces on top because it doesn't come with much. Still very good. I loved the environment inside and I enjoyed sitting inside. First of all, the restaurant has a very fun vibe. Cool artwork and color scheme. The cashier was very helpful and friendly. The food was very good. There was like a dry rub that had Cajun flair to it. Everything was seasoned. Food came out fast. It was yummy. The Mac and cheese was overcooked. My least favorite item was the chicken over fries because it had way too much nacho cheese on it. But my experience overall was wonderful and I would definitely come here again. read more

This is the first Dave's Hot Chicken in Spokane, so I was excited to try it and compare to the other chicken restaurants available. We came the day of their grand opening so it was busy, but I think they did a great job of moving through the line quickly. This place is a little small so eating there can be a little challenging, but we lucked out with a table. We both ordered the two tender meal which came with a side of french fries, pickles, bread, and their special sauce. We also ordered a side of their mac and cheese as others said it was tasty. We didn't have to wait too long for our meal to arrive and the frist thing we noticed right away was the chicken tenders were huge! They were incredibly tender and easily cut through with a plastic knife. As for the chickens flavor itself, I thought it was bland. For my heat, I ordered Spicy but felt it was underwhelming. The french fries were tasty and fresh but I didn't care for their sauce at all. It had a strong flavor of mayo which I am not a fan of. As for the mac and cheese I would say it was just okay. It tasted processed and I was hoping for a baked version. One positive call out was the noodles were not overcooked. Overall I'm glad I had an opportunity to try this location. The building itself is very cute and I love all the decor. The customer service was great and the service was quick. We like HHC, and now we like Dave's, too! Things are put together here slightly differently, and all the sauces are too sweet like everywhere else, but we loved the fries! On a recent Friday the family decided they wanted some hot chicken. We decided on Dave's, which we'd had once before in Hillsboro, Oregon. The location, which is gorgeous btw, is a bit out of the way for us, but since I had a mission to accomplish up North I went. The interior of the building is something to behold with it gorgeous fresco of downtown Spokane on the wall. The menu is simple; tenders and sliders and all the various heat combinations available to you make it somewhat overwhelming. The service was quick at the counter but slow in the kitchen. We ordered a family pack, which is a great value for what you get, but there's no way to tell what heat level each tender is when you open the box. This can be a problem if someone opposed To heat gets ahold of a monster! Overall, the chicken was meh, and the fries flavoring a bit too cloying. It's a different take on hot chicken, with more of a Cajun-inspired flavor. You can choose from mild, medium, or hot. We've tried the mild, which in our opinion had no heat at all, and the hot, which had a nice kick. Overall, it's a straightforward hot chicken fast-food spot. I wanted chicken, and my granddaughter suggested we try Dave's Hot Chicken. I thought, why not give it a shot? I told her I had never tried their chicken before, and I hoped it would be good. She didn't respond. The service was exceptional. The young man who assisted us with our order was very professional and courteous. Now, about the food: Chicken Sliders: The presentation was great, but the flavor was lacking for me. It was bland, and the breading was just spicy, with no depth of flavor. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Fries: The fries were overseasoned. Pickles: Well, they were just pickles. Mac & Cheese: It wasn't dry and was okay. My granddaughter (after paying) mentioned she had given me a mild slider once, and it all came rushing back to me--I don't like Dave's Hot Chicken. I would have gladly purchased her meal and driven a block to that icky taco place. HA! My granddaughter enjoys it and would eat there more often if she could afford it. First off the food. Was actually really tasty. The service, it was boxed very well. Everything was in place not sloppy it was very professional very labeled for different spices. But it gave me the worst stomach bug of my life. I took multiple pain meds and it was still on par or worse than a kidney stone. I can't recommend eating here. I was in pain that I can't even describe for several hours. Honestly the worst part is that the food is really tasty. Like I have leftovers and I'm thinking about going for round 2. It was good I just was in like some of the worst pain I ever felt in my life because of it. The fries and side of cheese sauce were pretty tasty. The Dave's sauce was a little on the sweet side for us. There were 5 cars in front of me. Took about 20 minutes to get my food. There was plenty of staff, but what was odd is that half of the staff was standing around and chatting while the other half was working hard. Dave's Hot Chicken was absolutely delicious, perfectly fried, juicy, and a pleasant amount of heat depending on your selected spice level. They are very kind and hardworking staff, and the dining area has cool graffiti art. They also respectfully offered me a sizable military discount. If you love Raising Canes and Popeyes, it's like the best of both. Their sauce is a unique mustard based delight, and the pickles with each meal give much needed acidity. P.S. Walked in there on a Tuesday and there was a lot of dirty tables. We ordered two chocolate milkshakes, chicken nuggets, and fries. When the guy delivered the milkshakes, I asked him if he could wipe off this table and he said sure, but he never came back. We took one drink of our milkshakes and it was awful. It tasted awful, and it was very icy. It was just filled with ice. a guy came over that was cleaning and I told him about it. I asked is there something wrong with your machine? It's very icy. I said I could chew on it and you shouldn't be able to chew on your milkshakes. The guy come back and he said there's nothing wrong with our machines and didn't offer to do anything. The chicken was fine the french fries look like frozen crinkle fries with some Lowery seasoning on them. All I can say is Wow! This is easily some of the best chicken I've had in my considerably long life. The chicken tenders and Dave's bites with medium spice are amazing. Could probably eat it every day. The sliders were pretty good, but the bread just gets in the way of the flavorful, tender, chicken. Was not impressed with the fries. The seasoning was good, but they were cold and somewhat undercooked. I haven't tried any of the other sides yet, but based on the chicken, I'm looking forward to it. The Dave's sauce is also . I also need to give a shout out to all of the employees at the N. Division location. They are all super friendly and professional. I've been there probably 4-ish times, and am greeted with a smile and an upbeat attitude every time. The service level at 95% of pretty much all restaurants, grocery stores, and other service industry businesses these days, leaves a lot to be desired. Terrible attitudes and body language, very rude and curt demeanor, and that's when you can get somebody to actually stop ignoring you and even acknowledge your presence.
