The downstairs restaurant had a different feel to it, like we had found a secret place away from the crowded streets above. The ambiance had a very rustic feel to it, with unfinished wooden walls and wooden tables and chairs. We were seated immediately (Sunday afternoon is a great time to go) and the service was spot on. Our waiter quickly went through the simple menu with us and made some recommendations based on our family size. The menu is structured for family style dining, with lots of shared main and side dishes. For a family of four we got a half a chicken and three sides (two mac and cheeses and fries) and there was more than enough food for us. The chicken was moist and seasoned so that you didn't need anything on it (but the sauces on the tables were tasty) and the Mac and cheese was homemade with additional parmigiana cheese. The fries were standard but went well with the garlic mayo that they provided. After the main meal we ordered the deep filled apple pie and chocolate brownie (which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and heavy cream) and both were out of this world, freshly made and a great topper to the meal. Highly recommend this place for a quick lunch, a longer dinner with friends or family, or even for take away. The prices won't break your wallet and the food is fresh and delicious. The servers were very attentive and helpful and if I am ever in London in the near future I will definitely be coming here again.

They offered thighs chunks and breasts. I ordered the breasts. They came out super piping hot in a few minutes and they call your number to pick up. There is nowhere to sit down and there is zero ambience. You pick up your chicken and then you go eat it in the street outside. The breast is flattened and extra crispy and was definitely good. I would prefer a table to sit out but that's not the way Chinatown rolls. No matter what time you walk past this place there's always a line. Give it a go.
