Fast food chicken spot. You can order at kiosk or with the cashier. They have tenders, sliders kale slaw, fries and shakes. We tried the sliders and tenders and thought they were okay overall. The food was ready pretty quickly. But note that there is no table service and you need to pick up your order yourself. The hot chicken sliders were absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying fresh, juicy, and flavorful inside. The slaw was crisp and tasty without being overdressed, which was a nice balance, and the pickles added the perfect acidic zing to cut through the salty, rich fried chicken. The fries were also a standout. Crispy, delicious, and well-seasoned. Everything came out hot and fresh, exactly what you want from a hot chicken spot. Service was friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated. The only minor downside was that we arrived about an hour and a half before the posted closing time (arrived at 9:30pm and the posted closing time was 11pm), and chairs were already being stacked and things were clearly being pre-closed. Totally understand wanting to get a jump on cleaning, but it did make us question whether or not we should stay to eat. We ended up staying, though the food was wrapped up to-go because we were told they didn't have trays at the moment. Not sure if that was true or if they were trying to hint that we should leave with our food. Overall, the food was excellent and we'd absolutely come back. This was my first time visiting Dave's Hot Chicken, and unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. When I walked in, there was no line and an employee was standing at the front counter and no one mentioned that the self-order kiosk was unreliable. After spending time placing my order, I received an error message. When I went to the counter, the employee simply said the kiosk "sometimes works and sometimes doesn't." It would have been helpful to know that before I wasted my time using it. After placing my order with the cashier, I wasn't asked if I wanted any sauces or a drink. Since it was my first visit, I wasn't familiar with the ordering process, so I assumed those questions would be asked. We waited about 20 minutes for our food, and when it arrived, part of the order was incorrect. I had substituted mac and cheese for the fries but still received fries. The gentleman at the counter was helpful and quickly gave me the mac and cheese when I pointed it out. After sitting back down, I realized we still needed sauce and wanted to order a drink, so I had to get back in line again. Then, after finally getting everything, I realized we hadn't been given a fork for the mac and cheese, requiring yet another trip to the counter. The one bright spot was the cauliflower sandwich it was absolutely delicious and the best part of the meal. This review is mostly for my kids' sake. You always see teenagers in here after school, so of course my kids wanted to try it. They ordered the spicy chicken sandwiches along with the Fruity Pebbles and M&Ms milkshakes. My son says it is now his favorite restaurant, so I am sure we will be back. Prices are a bit high compared to other chicken sandwich spots, but they do have some unique options and really lean into the spicy angle, which my kids love. Just learned that Dave's Hot Chicken opened a location fairly close to my house and we decided to go try them out. I was actually down around this area last weekend to get coffee and I somehow didn't see it. I only learned this when I was searching for newly opened restaurants near me on my phone. We got the food a little later in the night because there was a massive concert being held at Lee's Family Forum, which is like a mile away from my house, and traffic as a result was downright insane. So we waited for it to die down a bit before coming here. Kyle and I both got their chicken sliders with no spice - he got one slider and he got two sliders, with both coming with fries on the side. I also got myself a thing of mac and cheese. I was actually expecting the sliders to be much smaller than what we got, like those burger sliders you see at White Castle. But they looked like regular size chicken sandwiches. Still, though, everything here was really good! The sauce that was added inside made them even more flavorful. The fries and the mac and cheese were excellent as well, with the fries having that great amount of seasoning on them. Got our order in a half hour before they close. Then at 11pm they tell us very rudely that we have to leave because they close at 11pm and they can't have anyone inside the restaurant. I've never heard of anything like that before in the service industry. Been wanting to try this place out since it moved to our side of town. Similar to the other chicken places out there. I had the 1 tender meal (#5 not on the menu) which came with a slice of bread, sliced pickles and seasoned fries. I opted for the medium seasoning which wasn't spicy at all, added honey to it. Oh yeah, Dave's hot chicken in Henderson just opened and I am stoked! Being a chili head a place like this is a dream for me. They just opened yesterday so they're still trying to get their legs under them, but not too bad at all. The restaurant space is very small and very limited seating so chances are you might be better off taking it to go. If you're familiar with Dave's hot chicken, you know that their interior design is usually pretty crazy in this one. Absolutely delicious !!! Dave's Hot Chicken has opened another location on S Eastern Ave and W Horizon Ridge Parkway. ( Blaze pizza previous location). We have tried several different menu items: a chicken sandwich, Dave's bites, loaded fries and the chicken tenders and everything was tasty. The flavors are incredible , excellent spice, excellent crunch, great coleslaw. I also liked the sauce with it ( definitely a must have with the chicken). The crinkle cut fries is very tasty too. You get to select how spicy you want the chicken, we got it lite mild which was perfect, not too spicy ,but not bland either. My wife likes it "no spice " and it is perfectly seasoned as well and chicken tenders are so juicy and perfectly crispy, not dry at all. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They are very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is very vibrant, cool and inviting. The restaurant is clean and very nice. It is beautifully decorated with colorful graffiti art. Very Instagramable!!! Highly recommended!!! Definitely worth the visit, it is much better than Raising Cane's !!! read more

Tried this new place as we have never been there before. First wait like 20-25 minutes for the food. Fine, it is what it is. Got it take home. Opened it up and two ranches had opened in the bag. Inspecting them and it appears they were opened-pulled back. No rips or tears in the ranch cups. Then to top it off the chicken was cold and bitting into it, the chicken was under cooked. I'm not sure what the hype is over this place is. I love spice but the chicken was very smokey and paprika heavy. I couldn't taste any spice and the chicken was soggy. We ate at the location, so the chicken shouldn't have been soggy. The Dave's sauce tastes like ketchup and mayo mixed together. The best thing was the fries, which were crinkle cut. I went to Dave's Hot Chicken on the evening of May 4 around 9 PM and honestly the experience was really disappointing. The two guys and one girl working that night were extremely rude from the start. I ordered the chicken nuggets which are supposed to come with bread, pickles, and sauce, but none of that was in my bag. When I went back inside to ask about it, they kept arguing with me saying it doesn't come with it even after I showed them on the app that it does. The girl had a clear attitude and the two guys in the back weren't any better. First they said they ran out of pickles, then changed it and said they had them. One of them grabbed pickles with dirty gloves, threw them into a container, and tossed it into my bag which made everything inside messy, all while they were talking behind my back. On top of that, the chicken itself was extremely cold, and I didn't even end up eating it. Overall the service felt unprofessional and the food quality did not match what I expected at all. We had to try this new place that had moved into the old Blaze location. The initial impression was good. The place is colorful and energetic. We both ordered the chicken sandwich which they call a slider. We also got the fries. The fries were crinkle cut and tasted to me like frozen potatoes tossed in the fryer. They were sprinkled with a season salt. The chicken looked red. It was dark and had this red coating. We guess it was Cumin or Paprika but whatever it was it was overpowering. They use their "tenders" to make the sandwiches. Sadly, my chicken was barely warm as if it had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. It was also dry and chewy and a couple bites were so tough I gave up. My wife's chicken was a little thicker and not quite as dry as mine. We wanted to like this place. But, it did not live up to minimal standards. I know it is a Southern California chain and maybe it has a devoted following but the dry seasoning overpowered me. The food is quality. Large oversized chicken fingers with quality seasoning. I did find the price to be a bit much. I sent my college age daughter to pick up enough chicken and bread for a group of 10. She spent $200. I will eat here again. Sometime in the future.
