Sips and Bites w/ friends [Roseville CA] The last time I was here was 12 years ago... whoa, that long ago! Time for an update. Thanks to the fearless four who made it to D&B and joined me and Jean for a last minute sips and bites at The Fountains in Roseville. The place was full and busy at peak dinner time. We planned to meet at 6:00p. As soon as our group was complete we hung out at the bar until a table opened up. There was a bit of a wait. All of us ordered drinks at the bar and some also ordered apps. This place is like the adult version of Chuck E Cheese and so with music, flat screens and conversations all around you can just imagine the noise level. Yes, we were all screaming at each other just trying to hear each other LoL! I ordered the Cheesy Spinach Dip and it was very good or maybe I was just hungry. They must've been shorthanded in staff because many empty tables were left uncleared for sometime. We could've gotten a table sooner. This last minute get together was great. This is the second time ever I've been to a UYE and I had a lot of fun. I went to a D&B when in So-Cal last week and still had a card with credits on it. So I decided to delay my gym time to hang out with some awesome Yelpers I haven't seen in a while and to use the credit. We all got here a little after 6 pm and put our name down to get a table, which had a bit of a wait time. While waiting, our group decided to go to the bar area for drinks and small bites. I opted to play a few games and machines and ended up winning a few items, which found homes with May and Jean. I ordered the No Kick blueberry mule, which is a mocktail with blueberry, premium Curtis sour, ginger beer and lime. It tasted great and I really enjoyed it. You taste the sourness and blueberry. I ended up eating some sirloin from their dine and play menu, quick tasted great. We ordered medium rare, but got more medium. It came with a side of onion straws and mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon bits. Overall, great hangout and I had fun hanging out with Jean, May, Erly, Arnel & Joseph. *EDIT...The review I originally wrote was for the UYE page for the UYE itself. After writing the review for the UYE, somehow, Yelp changed the entire business page to be Dave & Buster's. The review I wrote was not for D&B. Never in my life did I expect to see my name on a UYE! But today, I dreamt it and May helped make it happen. Today, it was the Super 6 - May, Erly, Arnel, Jackson, Joseph, me - hanging out and dining at Dave and Buster's in Roseville. I was so happy that the Super 6 were able to hang out, especially since it was planned last minute. We hung out at the bar area getting drinks and snacks until our table was ready. We tried the 10oz. Sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and fried crispy onions. The steak was over the desired doneness, but the mashed potatoes and crispy onions were good. Everyone got a drink and had a good time. Jackson was killing it in the arcade area, especially with the claw machines. Have you been to a Dave & Buster? You have? Okay, my first time, and it feels kinda familiar. Feels like a casino, but for toys/prizes. Perfect if you want to grab a beer, some food, watch a game, and keep the kids entertained, too. Lots of lights and sounds to dull the senses. I always thought you have to order food, but my friend said no, you can just walk in and play the arcade games, carnival games, claw matches, etc. I have to say it was exciting to see people win prizes; however, I'm personally not really into it. Literally the worst experience- the internet went out and we lost TONS of tokens from malfunctioning machines. I had to ask for help FOUR TIMES and still didn't get my tokens back. The games didn't work for most of our time there - and we got cheated with the Star Trek game. On top of that - wow - NO TABLES were clean! It was a dump! The bus boy just lounging around. We waited forever for bad food / and the tables had garbage and food on them for OVER AN HOUR!! This place is terrible. The crane came also cheats. FYI. read more

We had family staying in town for Christmas and needed to find a place to eat. We saw that Dave and Busters was open and decided to go. Walked in around 6pm and was able to get a table for our group of 10. Since it was a weekday, they were still serving happy hour drinks. For $5 bucks there were some good choices like the Long Island. The menu had your typical American bar/diner dishes. Service was amazing. Our server was so friendly and patient handling our big group. We didn't feel rushed and got refills easily. There were decent amount of games. We've been to bigger Dave and Busters and this one was definitely smaller. We got 1200 tickets for prizes, and the prize choices weren't bad. Our family had fun eating and playing the various arcade games. It was a great way to close out our Christmas Day. read more

Walked in this game arcade / snack bar / drinking establishment. My 1st ever Dave & Busters experience. Place is loud and garish. Walked around the arcade. My thought: "Well this is about the crappiest Nevada type casino for kids that anyone can imagine". Early gambling casino training for the primary school population? Thing is nobody has a chance to win money here. Told my sister about the brief visit. She said "I brought the grandkids here for an afternoon. Can't believe that I spent over $100 for them to play the stupidest games ever". The woman is kind, rarely has a harsh word leave her lips, is forgiving of others. So her comment is a warning to you all. Use your $100 to buy the kids some books. read more

This is a good place to grab a drink and kick back. Service is quick, the place is pretty clean, and it's a fun, lively environment. I've never tried the food, but the drinks are good and it's a great spot to relax and have some fun. read more

Summer passes are great only if you're not playing for tickets because it caps out every week. The silver pass gets you unlimited games but you can't redeem any tickets if you play ticket games and it's blacked out on Fridays at 5pm and all Saturdays and Sundays. Gold pass doesn't have black out dates, gives you unlimited games, and the cap out for tickets is 1000 weekly. Platinum also has no black out dates but caps out at 2000 tickets a week. Tickets are to be earned when you play the game, not automatically given. Each tier gives you a percentage off their food menu items excludes all alcohol drinks. My kids love ticket games so we decided not to go with the summer passes. They each racked up over 4K in tickets within 2 hours of playing. The food is great, service is friendly, place is nice. Why I minus the one Star is because some of the machines are kinda broken. There is a 30 sec swipe delay after each swipe game. We waited almost a minute to swipe again but some of the machines would take the game chips but didn't let us start or play the game. We had to keep track of those machines and avoided them. Other than that everything was great, just wished most of the machines didn't glitch and some machines were out of order which was a bummer. read more

I had their sample platter that included pretzel dogs and buffalo wings. Next day I couldn't leave home due to being sick the whole day. I let the person that I went with know and she had the same issue. So it seems to have been food poisoning. I later tried one of their burgers in the future and it was bland. Over twice the price of In-N-Out and no good at all. Thumbs down. Plus the games don't last long at all. I miss the 90's.... The food was late and we waited for 45 minutes! The fries were mediocre at best and very inconsistent. Some were super salty and the others were tasteless. The ambience was ok, but some mysterious stains. The worst part was that the internet shut off and all of our tickets went away. All the games were shut off for a hour. We held like hostages as the internet was trying to come on. On top of that the table were messy all the time. Our waitress was nice but she forgot about us for 30 minutes. To end this terrible experience glasses were breaking every second and the buss boy was just leaning on the table the whole time! I do not recommend to come here EVER again. read more

I love Dave and Buster's, I ain't gonna lie. This one here is Roseville is one of the smaller establishments I have been to but it's still fun. I wish they had a bigger building so they could expand their arcade area but it scratches the itch when you want to play. Food is good, classic bar food. This is a very nice Dave & Busters. The location in Roseville is prime! Roseville seems to be a higher end type suburb city and the Fountains shopping area this is located in is very nice as well. I've had some misses at other locations when it comes to service, but the service and staff here were very good. From the hostess and to our waitress. I believe our server's name was Paulina and she was attentive and had courteous. They forgot one of the item's we ordered but was apologetic and the outstanding service provided through the evening made up for it. Food was ok to good. Burgers/sandwiches seem like the safe choices here. Don't get the fish and chips as the fish D&B uses doesn't seem to be the best and has a strong fishy after taste. (Unless each chain/location uses different one then you can take a chance here, but if they use the same type of fish throughout all locations then you were warned). Kids meals are a good value and comes with a kid's drink. The salad had good reviews during this time as well. I had the barbacoa quesadilla and it was good. Meat was tender, lots of cheese, cooked right, came with salsa and guac. So why the 2 star deduction? Despite having good service and very nice location, the reason for the deduction is what should be the most important and that is the entertainment aspect. I mean thats one of the major selling point of going to D&B. Unfortunately this is the smallest Dave & Busters locations I've ever been to and I've been to 4-5 other locations in CA. Everything is close together and there is a noticeable difference in the amount of games. There aren't as many regular non-ticket games here. So if you bought some kind of unlimited or timed use game card, you will be limited. So unfortunately that was a huge bummer. We got here at 8:45 pm. 3 people in the front who made us wait for someone else to seat us. Waitress started off great and friendly with drinks and apps. We were seated at 8:53 PM. 10:10 our waitress brings us the play cards but we still don't have food. I've been coming here for awhile now and the food/drinks are always great! Recently I've experienced a bad service with the bartender 2 separate times. I believe her name was sofiya (blond ish hair) made us wait 30 minutes minimum for drinks. Every time I ordered a drink from her she had an attitude as if she was annoyed. Recently came to Dave and Busters, last time I was here was probably pre-pandemic. It looks so nice! I love the remodel, I felt like the place is super clean, the staff was nice, and I like how open it is. The game area was also great, everything was working and no broken machines. I think they changed the good menu since the last time I was there. There are more healthy options available and a different variety of food. They kept the theme of huge TV's everywhere to watch the games and the bar in the middle. Would reccomend coming here for a fun meal and something to do afterwards. I came back to this location on Tuesday, 2/6/24, in the evening. First and foremost, I decided to sit at the bar. It was Happy Hour, so I opted for the $5 drinks. I was able to try the Backwoods Blueberry Lemonade and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. The Backwoods Blueberry Lemonade was a delicious drink and I'd order it again. The wine was smooth and had a sweet profile. Out of nowhere, I was even given a premium drink ticket from a sweet woman. For the third drink, I tried the Strawberry Watermelon Margarita. The strawberry and watermelon were tasty combo and the infused ice cubes were great. In addition to the drinks, I ordered the Chicken Potstickers. It was very spicy, yet flavorful. BTW, servers Tim and Chelsea are the best! They deserve a raise. Friendly, helpful, efficient and knows how to deliver exceptional service. Tim especially went above and beyond when we dined in, from the moment he greeted us and took our order. It was like he could read our minds, offering lemon slices with our waters and requesting for our burger to be cut in half since it was being shared and we didn't even have to ask. He was quick while also being positive, cheerful and upbeat. It has been a while since I've encountered such excellent service! We were looking for a place where my husband could watch his Sunday football and our toddler could have fun at the same time and this turned out to the BEST decision! We were quickly seated right in front of the screen which was amazing! They had some fun trivia games and the host was really nice and entertaining. Upon entry we were immediately seated...according to Dylan's review, this location is bigger than other Dave and Busters he has frequented in his 8 year life span. Food: Dylan ordered the kids chicken tinders meal...according to him, the carrots were the best thing on his plate. I personally preferred the adult happy hour specials....not sure of the bartenders name but he made a decent old fashion for a mere $6. Games: surprisingly every game worked except for the games that listed coming soon. Dylan mentioned that the games were extra friendly when it comes to dispersing tickets...hot tip...Visit the hot wheels racing game Prize Station: great, clean, organized....however if you are looking for the Pokémon cards...they are behind the counter and cost 800 tickets. Customer Service: friendly and attentive service...we had a large party and on several occasions the waitress returned just to check on us and ask if we had everything we needed. My son loves this place so we decided to pop in while we happened to be in town. As soon as we walked in they put us on the waitlist and let us purchase a game card as the kiosks were down. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. They were VERY busy as it is spring break. The bathrooms were gross & you can tell they are not being regularly checked, but that's my only complaint. Once we sat down & looking at the menu I realized they have a fantastic happy hour menu!! Our waiter was Julian. He was so good. He was attentive and making sure drinks were always flowing, he let us know that the lemonade my son ordered was not free refills, but offered an alternative that was free refills. He also found my daughter's little bootie she kicked off under the table! We are from out of town so this really made a Moms day! The food is mediocre. Parking is hard as it is a mall. Looks like this is theeee place to be in a Friday night and weekends. The noise level is just ear bleeding. They have a decent happy hour menu that includes food. I would come back for that. My wife and I sat at the bar and order two drinks and 2 plates of food, when we finished our first drink we placed our drinks toward the edge of the counter however it took 30 min for t even be able to order our next drink. Keep in mind there was only 7 other people at the bar, with 2 bar tenders working. The wait was taking so long that it just completely killed the vibe of the night, we love all Dave and busters, we've been to multiple throughout the state. I went here earlier today and the food was phenomenal and it was really good. The service was very fast even though it was busy and my food and drinks came on time. The atmosphere however was awesome all the staff was really nice and friendly and the games were probably the best part. They were very fun and there were a lot of choices of games to choose from so if you didn't like one game you could do another. Big shoutout to Aaron though!!
