Came here just randomly one night. The food was okay, not worth what its priced. The deals for food and game cards are cool though. Our server was awesome and explained everything from the menu to card deals. Its an arcade basically so it was pretty loud, we got sat right in the middle of all the tables so it wasn't the greatest spot but at least we could see almost all of the TV's. The games were pretty fun, I dont think i'd be back any time soon though. read more

We waited over 10 minutes for someone to take our order for drinks as most of the employees were just gathering around in a huddle chatting rather than taking care of their customers. Watching around the bar, I see customers tapping their money or credit cards to be taken cared of or a few waving their hands for service... how did NOT ONE employee see them or our group??? I've gone to several Dave and Buster's around the US and unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the Lubbock area I'm Texas. I know it was their 2 week opening. But the manager has to step up and make sure things are moving and running smoothly. Also we noticed a family sitting at the bar and it took over 20 minutes to notice that one of them was under aged. SMH As we came in through the restaurant/bar. The staffed just asked rather than check for ID's if we were over 21 years of age. My group was well over 21. In addition to poor service, we even ordered just a burger and 2 appetizers. That took 40 minutes and they were cold. Another fail. If any customers was to sit at the bar they should be "ID'd". Need to step up on the restaurant/bar area. *Check for ID when sitting in the bar. The arcade area went well. Even the employees checked and cleaned the arcades to make sure all machines were working! Great job arcade employees!!! My 2 daughters and I had a great time here. Food waste out fast and service was fantastic.

The restaurant area is incredibly, uncomfortably loud. There's no reason for people to have to scream just to have a conversation. And of course, it's always nice being in a joint where police hover around while you eat. Kinda speaks to the type of people they expect to have as patrons. Who charges 30$ for a 14-oz ribeye? This joint does. Is it worth 30$....not even close. 14$ for a big pretzel? Outrageously stupid. This place is basic bar food only. The prices should reflect that. The taste of their food sure doesn't reflect the prices they charge. The service, while slow and confused for the majority of our visit, was friendly and apologetic. Kudos to them for not losing their cool when it's obvious the manager doesn't have a clue on how to direct or help them. A lot of the employees were just gathered around the front door talking to each other. Our waiter was trying his best though and I appreciate his effort. The arcade area was good for the kids. Clean and great employees taking care of the machines. Pretty cool to see them all in action and it seemed they cared for their jobs. The games...Main event has better games but my kids enjoyed it and overall after dumping about 300$ into this place we've all agreed never to come back. It was okay one time for the arcade only. The food was terrible and WAY overpriced. I wouldn't recommend it and I'm warning all my acquaintances to avoid it. You'll get a much better bang for your buck at Main event or 50th street caboose. I haven't been to Dave & Buster's in a very long time and that was in Milpitas, California. Compared to the one in California this one was very small. It seemed geared more towards kids than adults. There was nowhere on the gaming floor for kids or adults to just sit and take a rest. You have to use cards to play any of the games and you also collect the tickets that way too, they had a very wide selection of prizes. Since my kids are adults 20 and 23 I played some games and then sat at the bar with my older son. he ordered a drink and mozzarella sticks, which were very good. He said the drink was good. The bartender was very nice and friendly when my younger son was done playing games we switched to a table and the host was very happy to accommodate us. There were tVs in the dining area to watch games and sports. It wasn't very loud or noisy. You were able to hold a conversation in either area and still be heard without yelling. It was very clean overall we had a good time, but I don't know if I would be back, we got bored very quick. read more

Two stars only for the games. Stopped in while in town to take my kids to have fun. The restaurant side was somewhat busy, the hostess got us seated pretty quickly. When we sat down the table and chairs were soaked, which would be a good thing as at least they were cleaned, but it looked like they just went through a car wash. The server took forever to come to the table. Apparently a different server jumped in to help because ours was overwhelmed, which was great. Here's where the wheels fell off. I ordered a beer from the draft menu. Apparently they were out, so instead of asking if I would like a different beer they just assumed to bring me a canned beer. My daughter ordered lemon pepper wings, which actually came out pretty fast. My son went to eat her celery, except I could tell from across the table that the celery was very rotten and mushy. After looking at it, I knew it wasn't good. I flagged down what I assume front of the house manager or something, and when I brought it to her attention she replied with "oh it happens" and then stared at me. Then asked "would you like more celery". I told her no, and she just stared at me more. She was obviously inept at her ability to solve the issue. I don't want celery coming from the same container that just had this rotten celery in it. I told her to do what I thought what was the right thing to do, and she just stood there more. So I told her to just give me the check. She ran off never to be seen again. The issue is, this girl is obviously not able to do her job. The restaurant was busy but seemed properly staffed. It seems they lack training in the kitchen and front of the house. This was a simple issue that had the person responsible to "solve issues" actually took a proactive approach, would have quickly de-escalated the situation, but unfortunately she failed miserably. Only good thing was that the majority of the games worked and the prize store checkout was super fast. read more

Awesome staff and great service. The ambiance is fun for the kids. The food is some of the lowest quality material food I've seen at a restaurant. The fries were greasy, the nachos were incredibly measly for the price with just some cheese sauce. Kid Mac & cheese was very poor quality. Wings were good. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 5. Out of our party of four everyone felt the same. I had the Stacked Steak Bowl. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't order it again. The steak has a weird rub on it that's a little off putting. It was supposed to come with a Chipotle aoli, which it did not. Waiter knew they were out of it but never told me. Had to ask about it. The "roasted cauliflower" was not roasted near enough. Couldn't cut through it with a knife and fork. Hubby had the American Burger. He said it was below average. He did like the fries, though. Fish and chips were mediocre. Margaritas were FAR too sweet. The waiter was very nice but kept forgetting things we asked for. Also, of course, it was incredibly loud but you have to expect that at this kind of restaurant so it's not fair to count that against them. Dave & Buster's has lots of fun available, but there are some things you should know and pitfalls to avoid. First, they don't have a good grasp of the restaurant schedule. They told us the wait for two people was 30 minutes, but texted us after five minutes, and then seated us at a table for four even though tables for two appeared to be available and other parties had been waiting longer than us. Second, the food is a little pricey (not unexpected) and almost every appetizer is spicy (jalapeños and habanero sauce abound). Third is a pitfall; after eating you can buy a game card from the wait staff, but they add that total to the food bill and expect you to tip on the total (food and games) instead of just the food. Fourth, the music is loud - like shout at your date the whole time loud. In the restaurant and the game area. Lastly, there are some glitchy tap to pay interfaces on the games or unclear instructions, which leads to paying for a game you don't really get to play - just like every other arcade place, which is disappointing for a place that is brand new. I had fun while I was there, but that was because of who I brought with me, not because of anything Dave & Buster's did. read more

Well there was 11 of us , the waitress did tell us there would be a 20% charge for a service fee . We were on 3 separate tickets. The kitchen got a burger wrong 3 times, anyway. The iPad, the waitress had was charging us two $51.29. So I asked for a receipt she finally got me one and our bill was 46.00. So she was ripping us off . I went to the manager and she refunded us the difference . So Always get a receipt!!!! read more

We had our Christmas party there a few weeks ago and the staff was very attentive and the food was outstanding. We had a party of around 30 and they were very prompt as we all arrived separately to take drink orders before our food came out. After perusing some of the fairly low-ranking reviews, I was a bit leery about booking a large, mixed-ages party (18) for dinner/games in advance of the Dude Perfect show. Maybe our experience was an anomaly, but the food was exceptional (I had the Korean ribs) and the service attentive and timely. Kudos to D+B management for making for a great first impression, and job well done to the waitstaff. I've been three times and they've been out of burgers all three times. The service is subpar at best. It is very loud. You have to yell to have a conversation. The staff can be rude at times. Very unprofessional. Kids around the bar. Pretty much a Chucky Cheese with a bar and better games. I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Been to many Dave & Busters & this by far was the worst one. Food was not very good got the wings (Nashville Hot) couldn't get 2 flavors because the cooks are new? Flavor was no good, kids got the pizza and didn't look like it was fully cooked. We saw our waitress a whole 2 times the hole hour we were there. Definitely don't recommend for the food. read more

I have gone to Dave and Busters in Dallas and San Antonio, and the garlic parmesan fries are a big order. However, the order in Lubbock was minimal, and the margarita I ordered could have been better with the presentation and the flavor. I ordered the margarita with watermelon cubes at the Dave and Busters in Dallas, and it was great. However, it wasn't good in Lubbock, and the drink presentation was sloppy. The waitress was trying to get us to leave, and we weren't even done eating. The chairs need to be lowered and more comfortable. Compared to the service and food in Dallas and San Antonio, the Dave and Busters in Lubbock could have been better. read more
