Fun place but mediocre service. Order was pleasantly taken food arrived but the servers disappeared.

DnBs opened at 11. We arrived around 1245 and got seated within 20mins (the hostess said it'll be a 30min wait) So we didn't wait long. We got seated and were greeted by our server. Very friendly and even joked along with us. Despite having to wait for a burger that didn't come out with the rest of the order our server apologized and had the manager come out to deliver the burger and apologized as well. Over all the food was good, hot and fresh. It was busy considering it was Veterans Day, but we didn't feel rushed or we didn't feel like we were waiting too long. The area we were sitting at was perfect especially because we had 3 kids and one of them was in a highchair. So we had more than enough space. The booth we were at was clean and the high chair was clean. It was a good day. read more

Went to check out the new location Thursday May 22, 2005 at around 5:30. We got seated near the human crane game. Someone brought out 4 waters (we had 6 on our table) and no one ever came back. I went to the host podium and eventually got someone's attention (there were 4-5 people standing around talking to each other) and asked for a waiter. 10 more minute pass, felt like more. Eventually I see a waiter and ask if he can take my order, he says he'll be right back, which he does and tells me our waitress is busy and he can take our order. Things go well from there - though drinks were slow to come out. The food was okay, standard D&B food. The music was a little too loud and the lighting was direct spotlights, which makes taking pictures a terrible experience. There is an Ala Moana Taps section, I was interested in how it worked but didnt get to try it out. Last night's selections were Sapporo, CoCoWeizen, OMG Haze, Bikini Blonde Lager, Hawaii Life Lite Lager, Hop Island, Kewalo Cream Ale, Big Swell IPA, Froot Lupes, Pacifico Clara, Big Wave, Longboard Lager, Space Dust IPA, Michelob Ultra, and 2 empty slots. A new summer pass promotion started, no one was really sure how it worked. From between $70 to $150 you can get unlimited play and discounts until August 29th. You do not get a new card, they just enable your current card. For a fairly new place, more then a few games were not working, as in you could not tap and play. The left 2 guns on Halo weren't tracking correctly. About the human crane game: We didnt play it. It was $25 and you could grab as much as you can grab but you only get to take 1 inflatable thing. All in all, we spent a bunch of money and the kids had fun. read more

Love Dave and Busters. Theres something about the huge television screen in the main dining room that attracts me. The menu is new and features a variety of updated entrees. Had a great server who checked and asked if I needed refills. I had the chicken mixed with mushrooms and cheese accompanied by mashed potatoes and green beans. Was cooked perfectly to me. I ordered coffee and one cup was enough to wake me up. A good coffee is served here. Dave & Busters has large restrooms for patrons. This was my first time at the new location after they moved from Ward Theater area. I went on a Saturday night with my friends and family. It makes me sad to say, but I was pretty disappointed with the overall experience. Dave and Buster's used to have the best arcade games, but the selection was not exactly the same. I really am sad that guitar hero didn't make the transition. There are new interactive games that you can play with groups, but it is pretty hard to get in when it's crowded. It also feels like the area is so much smaller. Something that I kind of liked about the last location was when they used to host D&B Wednesdays (discounted drinks), and there was an upstairs and downstairs bar as well as an area for dancing and music. It seems more targeted towards sports and the dining area is quite nice. They used to have a terrace area at the top as well that was good for hosting parties. It had outdoor furniture and seating areas that gave this unique vibe that was like a getaway from the chaos of the arcade. This location is one level in the basement as opposed to the 3 story setup they had previously. Another new feature is the "claw machine" in which people can pay $25 to grab a cheap inflatable from a hammock. The food was not bad, but I feel like I wouldn't stay very long nor would I be going very often. I think Lucky Strike might be a better option especially with it being in the same shopping center. TIPS: Download the dnb's app so that you can make reservations for a table on the app, and have a power card on your phone in your apple wallet! **Do it before you go because the internet connection is horrible in the underground area. read more

Service was good. Food was okay. But the only issues I had was the fact that lots of the games were out of service or not available, the football game didn't have enough footballs so you're waiting for the balls to come back during half of the game and the claw machines had really cheap toys and they weren't even filled.......other than that it's a nice new location with lots of new games just wish more were available for us to play when we visited tonight. I went to Dave and Busters Monday night, December 1st and had a wonderful experience! The bartender, Sarah, was very pleasant and helpful, explaining to us how things worked since we don't go there very often. She was attentive and quick with our orders. Additionally, she kept her cool even when being treated very poorly by the rude and belligerent customers sitting next to us. I was so impressed by how she handled the situation even while experiencing totally unfair treatment. The food was delicious and we had a blast playing all the games, but the biggest reason I would return was the quality service we received from Sarah. read more

The place is actually great but there is a person greeting all incoming customers trying to sell timeshares for Wyndham. I've been a salesperson for over 15 years and this girl "Mai" is a major b!$&€. I tried to decline nicely and she kept trying to shove the product down my throat. After about 7 rebuttals on why I should take her product she finally flat out side the only reason I don't want it is because I'm uneducated. The worse case of badgering customers I've ever experienced. I already know about Wyndham my friends and I used to sell it I don't have time to sit in some hard sell meeting regarding products I don't want just for gift certificates to amenities I won't use. I didn't even make my way all the way in the store and by the time we were done speaking I didn't want to spend a single dollar in the establishment. The manager was cordial about it because I was so upset I wanted to let them know what this person was doing to any potential customers they had there. She could've at least offered me compensation with a few dollars to play games to keep me in the establishment but she did not. Meh. All in all Wyndham is a third party whom is messing up Dave and Buster's bottom line income if they are allowed to continue being at D&B's greeting post with those types of sales tactics. read more

We came back here with our extended family to have a fun night with our 5 year old daughter. The food was surprisingly good, like it wasn't fancy food, but it was comfort food done well. I got a chicken sandwich and the chicken was tender and the fries were hot and perfectly cooked. We also got pretzel bites and those were delicious. Afterwards we played a bunch of games which of course our daughter loved. They have enough games that we could all find games that we could play together. My daughter's favorite was the fishing game. Haven't been here in a long while. We ordered salad bowls for dinner. Overall everything was good. Nothing much to complain about although I did have some little nitpicks. Southwest Salmon salad tasted good but could've used a tad more seasoning on the salmon. It was cooked perfectly but wished the salmon was a bit more moist. Dessert was interesting because I've never tasted chocolate cheesecake before. It was good- not too sweet and had a cookie crust and s'mores (marshmallows) on top with chocolate syrup. Satisfies my sweet tooth. Several huge video screens were nice to watch all the sports channels. Server was nice. You pay at your table using a payment pod the server brings so it was fast & convenient. Went to look at their arcade game room upstairs. I went here after work with a group. The bar was unhelpful, but when we were seated in the dining area, the server was wonderful. I was a bit bothered by the picture takers, but it wasn't a big deal. I do like that we were able to enjoy happy hour and talk in a casual setting. The drinks weren't as slushy as I expected, but they were only 5 dollars. This review is specifically for the Tap Zone, pour your own beer section of the facility. The attendant was great and helped to the best of their ability, but I've been here 3 times and all 3 times multiple of the beer selections have been out. The ones that are available don't pour well and I end up paying for mostly foam. We were really looking forward to playing pinball here and not waiting for our beers, but we haven't had great experiences yet. We really hope they can improve the ordering of kegs and functionality of the taps. Kinda wishing we hadn't put $50 on our tap zone card now! Side note, would be nice if the glasses were chilled to help with the foam issue, but that may be wishful thinking. read more

I've come here many times to play games and it's cool, even though I'm not a big game person I always have a good time. Last night we came here to grab a bite before the movie (Dumb Money is sooooo good!!!!) and we sat upstairs at the bar to order. The ambiance/noise was awful. I never thought about how loud it is til I tried to eat there and I really do enjoy eating my food in peace. So next time I think I will sit downstairs to eat. Anyways I ordered the chicken parm and it was INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS!! There was never anything worth writing a review for here before but seriously could not believe how tasty this dish was so I had to let you guys know. Walked in and no one there to greet had to walk around the area to get help. The gentleman was like let me go get someone and they never came so I went back and found the gentleman again and then after he answered all of my questions I moved forward with making a purchase. By the time I made my purchase, the original young lady, he went to go retrieve she was very rude and acted as if she did not want to help after she gave me information. She walked off and stated that she would return and never did. I then found a different worker, and she tried her best to help with the issues that I had encountered, and even though she was unsuccessful, she found someone that could before she walked away. I ordered food and it was delicious. Overall, I only gave them a three star rating just based on the customer service that I experience with the young lady as I was needing assistance at the front counter. We had a large party of 14 dine in with a handful of young children between 3 families. The nice thing was they were able to sit us early for our 6pm reservation. Our waitress was great until it came time for the bill. We asked ahead of time to be seperated in 3 bills by families. Lets just say it took 45 min to settle our bill. It rejected 2 people's credit cards when paying on the tablet and when using a gift card it also made it difficult. Our Favorite Stop in Hawai'i! We visited family in Hawai'i from out of state last week for the holidays, and one of the highlights of our entire trip was our night at Dave & Buster's on Wednesday the 26th. We totally forgot to post before flying home, but we knew we had to come back and rave about our amazing bartender, Sarah. From the second we sat down, she made us feel welcome and guided us through the menu like she knew exactly what we were in the mood for. We had questions about the ribs, the mozzarella cheese sticks, and the new Fire Salmon dish, and she explained each one perfectly. Her suggestions were spot on, and everything she recommended tasted incredible. She even helped us pick drinks that matched each of our tastes, and all of them were on point. She was especially great with the kids, making sure they were having fun, had what they needed, and felt included the whole time. It really made the night feel like a full family experience, not just a dinner. We had such a fun night talking with her and enjoying the energy of the place that we didn't even realize until we got home that we forgot to leave a review. So here it is because service like that deserves recognition. If you're visiting the island, definitely stop by. And if you're lucky enough to get Sarah as your bartender, you're guaranteed an amazing time. Mahalo for making our vacation even better, Sarah! read more

My son was born an avid gamer, so this is - without a doubt - his favorite place to be. For parents, however, I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs to prepare a generous budget beforehand. With the prices of 'credits' going up, along with the cost of each game, I'd say that $50 per child is somewhat on the conservative side. If I'm being real, a couple hours of games has likely totaled over $100 per child. Dining at Dave & Buster's can definitely be something you'll either enjoy or despise. The service the other day was outright TERRIBLE. Not only did the food take 45 mins to hit the table, but when one of the dishes arrived, it was incorrect, AND one entire plate was COLD. Our server seemed like "a talker" because once I brought it to her attention that we were missing 2 out of 2 sides for the plate, she said she already had someone AT THE WINDOW waiting for the rest of our food to come out. Yet another 40 mins later, WE STILL DIDN'T GET ANYTHING and she didn't even come back to check on us, I had to flag her down! When I told her again that we didn't get the rest of the plate, her reply was, "Yaaa... I know..." ***WTH?!!*** At that point, of course, my family was done eating. We made due with what had arrived and honestly, I lost my appetite. The server did take the entire plate off our check, but HELLO! This should have never happened in the first place AND don't lie to us and say you sent someone on it 40 mins prior WITH NO AVAIL! She seriously had us waiting!! Mind you, it was a Wednesday morning and the place was dead. What we ordered: - BBQ baby back ribs (missing fries and coleslaw) - Pepperoni Flatbread - Buffalo Chicken Wings w/truffle fries (COLD) - Side salad - Side rice With that said, I'm sure we'll be back. I love coming to Dave and Busters, and I truly thought I would never say that. I loved the original location due to the space, but since we cant have that, this location is smaller since everything is just on one floor. If you are driving, parking is Ala Moana parking and always a mess. I would recommend turning right if you enter via the Piikoi Anyway, when you enter, you can either go straight to eat or go and play games. I really like the food here, specifically the appetizers--they are very filling and I honestly haven'd a bad one. I also like to come during happy hour where M-F 4-7, you can get very delicious and great prices for Happy Hour drink. My favorite server is Sarah because she gets the drinks moving quickly and is a delight to speak to. Speaking of food, the food comes out quick and hot, so if you're hungry, don't skip out on some D&B. This location, since it's recently moved, has most games working well, while some games require a longer wait. This is a fun spot to go with a group where you can spend time eating and then work up a sweat to earn tickets. read more

This location is pretty nice. We came by after some dinner to hang out and play some games. Overall pretty reasonable and they had a large selection of different games to play. They also have a bar and dining area if you would like to hang out as well. They have a nice selection of awards and you can even trade points and tickets in for food if you want. Overall is super convenient and it's right next to the movie theaters, so yeah cool place to hang out. They also open up super late, which is really nice as most things in Hawaii close earlier. read more

I just experienced the best response from a food server and manager that one could hope for. There was a problem with the dish I ordered and I brought it to our food server's attention. She apologized and said that she would tell the manager. The manager came to our table not more than one minute later. She apologized for the problem and said that she would take the dish off the bill. She made no excuses. She just took care of the problem. I am very impressed with how the manager handled the situation. She sets an excellent example for her employees. read more

Went there for a briefing and they put on a breakfast buffet with Flour & Corn tortillas and Chopped bacon, scrambled eggs, chop beef, sautéed potatoes and veggies and assorted fresh fruits. With coffee, juice, ice tea, assorted soft drinks. They should have put a sign on the door to the The food was good and staff was very accommodating! The only thing they could have done better is put a sign on the doors letting other know it was a private event, because customers kept opening the doors and the games sounds were so loud. Outside of the private room they have the game area and also the restaurant and bar area. There was lots of parking and they have lights to let you know which stalls are open, but after when we were leaving the parking lot was full, I think because of the theater and other restaurants open for lunch. It's sad that this location at Ward will be relocating to Ala Moana. It may be bigger but not the same. So many memories I have here. My kids used to love coming here after I finished work at the movie theater. Everyone is knowledgeable about the menu, prices have gone up but the food is good and plentiful. Dave and Busters has been around for years and I used to go pretty often when I was younger. Now it's going around full circle because now my daughter absolutely loves Dave and Busters. Every chance she gets she wants to go there. It's a good way to give incentives too. The last time she went she went because my dad said that if she scored a soccer goal, he would take her. Well, guess what, she scored a goal, in fact two. Surprising, because some days at soccer games, she's just dragging her feet. Gotta get that Dave and Buster's incentive in there to hustle, haha. Anyway, D&B has a variety of games and they rotate them out pretty frequently. It's probably based on how much people play the game. My favorites are the basketball shooting. My daughter's favorite by far is the claw/grabber machine. Blame my husband for that. I call it the "money eating machine", but somehow she actually got a prize last time. She was over the moon that she was able to do it herself. The food at D&B isn't too bad. I think before the food choices were better. But one thing that they have that I eat is their loco moco. That was the only thing that really appealed to me on the menu. It's not that big of a meal. My daughter and I shared and we pretty much ate the whole thing. But it was pretty good. Once we tried one of their blue fruity drinks for kids, that was not good. Way too much sugar. Overall, we will continue to go to D&B for fun. They keep enticing us with these coupons, haha. Ok..I'm here to update my dining experience that I just had with my family. Came here after kid city with a lot of hesitancy since my last eats was horrible. I was craving for their bbq pork ribs and I had that, Brussels sprouts, California salad, kids cheese pizza and fries! Everything, I mean EVERYTHING was delish! The ribs most especially was so good. Meat fell off the bone and so tasty! I wouldn't mind dining here again just for the ribs! Menu was update with great items on hand. Dessert page was small and nothing caught our attention. I haven't been here in years but we went during spring break for a bday party. Honestly, I forgot how good the food is. Look at the pictures, my daughter ordered some kind of bacon cheeseburger and there is no joke like ten pieces of bacon! It was super loaded. The only issue I had was my chicken club sandwich was advertised with avocado but I never got any which was odd because two other people I was dining with got avocado in their sandwiches. Dave & Busters is a great place to chill and watch a game or play some games. I mainly come for UFC fights, no cover charge, and Taco Tuesday on the roof. It's nice because they have free parking. Taco Tuesday on the roof is fun, $1.00 Beef Tacos & $2.00 Chicken Tacos and they are pretty good for the price. The place is popular so be prepared for lots of people. They also have lots of drink specials that are a great deal. They pretty much show any game you want to watch, they are very flexible which is nice. They show UFC fights, no cover charge but you gotta come early. They also show most boxing matches. First time ever going to Dave & Buster's as my husband wanted to try the All you can eat Wings on Thursdays. It wasn't busy, waited about 5 minutes until our waitress came to get our order. She seemed like she had just started working there which was fine but everything overall took a while to come out. I ordered the bacon burger with truffle fries, and my husband ordered the buffalo wings. The bacon burger was loaded with bacon, probably 6 pieces which was worth it on the bacon part. The burger was loaded, but had no flavor to the meat whatsoever, it got soggy pretty quickly with the buns. The fries were pretty good, they weren't really crispy but was seasoned nicely with the truffle flavor. My husband got only 2 trays of wings which were probably 20 boneless wings, he got full quickly because he waited a while for the second tray to come, he said it tasted like decent wings, nothing too special. After finishing our meals, we waited for some time to get the check, I had to go up and look for the waitress to pay my bill because we had been waiting for a while..
