This location is at the Ala Moana shopping center but is a bit tricky to find since it's actually down in the parking garage level and is strangely tucked away and not even visible from the mall exterior. There's plenty of parking in the Ala Moana Shopping Center, but just a heads-up that the stalls in front are limited to one hour parking since they're mainly for Foodland shoppers. As you walk in, a greeter points you in the right direction, which helps because the new location is pretty large. Large footprint. The space is nice, cool, clean, and really spacious, with lots of updated machines. Using the Power Card is simple, just swipe and go. Overall, a fun and smooth experience. I requested Dave and Busters for my celebratory lunch because I want to play games after, and also eat American food. We ordered some pretzel dogs, smash burgers and the rib and wing combo. Food was great! I tried their frozen strawberry margarita and it was so good. It's kinda my new favorite drink haha! During our meal, the manager approached us to see how we're doing and out of the blue, she asked if we are celebrating something, so we told her. She asked me to pick two desserts and she'll comp it! What a sweet person! So we had the brookie tower sundae and the strawberry shortcake. Both were nice and sweet. Also, the server approached us and said the manager wants to give me a free drink, I think it was their tropical MaiTai. So good! Took my kids here for the first time since they moved from Ward to the bowels of Ala Moana Shopping Center. So...it turns out that I wanted to eat over there because I never had a chance to try and eat at the previous one in Ward Village. I came into this with a mindset that says, 'Matt, don't overcomplicate this and just go inside to enjoy some good food there'. And, sure enough, that's exactly what just happened. The expectations were maybe a whole lot different than what I didn't anticipate. The food was great...and I got to enjoy some for to take home for a second lunch. I ordered some fried pickles to start for the appetizer and it looked so good. Crunchy, salty, acidic...it hits well and the ranch was a nice compliment to it. For lunch, I ordered their Brekky Burger without cheese and the bacon aioli on the side, and I have to say, first impressions looking at it, the presentation was gorgeous and looked as if I wanted to dig right in immediately. All the flavors come together and really made it an interesting bite to enjoy. A little messy, but it tastes good. To close out my meal, I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake and it was the perfect way to finish my meal. All in all, not a bad first trip there. And I got my own D&B game card. I took my daughter here for her birthday along with 2 of her other friends. We ended up loading her card with money and limited time. It actually lasted a couple hours and then we got hungry so we got drinks and nachos to eat. The nachos were enough for all of us and was delicious. It's louder and more chaotic than the old location, which startled our 3-year-old at first, but the layout works well. Favorites include the Double Pepped Up Flatbread, Cali Caesar Salad Bowl, and Creamy Chicken Pasta. Orders come out fast, and you can use game tickets to pay. Just redeem coupons at the counter where you turn tickets in for prizes. Restrooms are way in the back past all the games (not ideal with a toddler), but they do have a family restroom. It had been years since I had been to the old D&B's in Ward. It was tired and in need of a revamp. Thankfully, they relocated to Ala Moana Center. I was disappointed when Shirokiya closed but don't mind that this new D&B's took their old space. Customer service started off terrible. When I walked in, there were three teens/early 20's females standing at the hostess podium acting too cool to work there, obviously having a bad day and/or hating their job. They didn't greet me and none of them were friendly or approachable. I asked if the rest of my party had arrived and one of them responded with her hand extended towards the tables, basically motioning for me to have a look for myself. The service took a 180 when we were served by Ken, who was upbeat, friendly, and humorous. Sure, he upsold us on an Eat and Play combo that was a little over $70/person, which was pricey, but he was just doing his job. The combo was well worth as it came with an entree from a set menu and power cards that lasted us a couple of hours. The food was typical bar food, and mediocre at best. I wasn't disappointed because I've dined at the old location, and they're not exactly known for their food. I had the boneless wings with seasoned fries. I couldn't decide on which sauce I wanted so Ken gave me several to try. Hot honey was my favorite. Don't have much to say about the wings and fries overall. Because I didn't set high standards on the food, I wasn't disappointed. When we were just about done with our meals, a very professional manager visited our table to ask us how we were doing, how we enjoyed everything, and if there was anything else we needed. Ken and this manager ended scoring customer service points with me after the interaction, or lack thereof, I had with the three less-than-lovely hostesses. The games are bigger and better than the ones they had at the Ward location. The play area is much more spacious. We enjoyed a life-size Hungry Hungry Hippos game where players sit on the hippos and capture the balls. They also have one of those games that are all the rage at indoor playgrounds nowadays, you know, the one with a large screen and you throw balls and hit targets. It's a neat multi-player one that has different modes like destroying dinosaurs that are about to attack you, having snowball fights with gingerbread men, and so forth. There was a corner off to the side of the dining area that had dart boards on the wall next to the dining tables, which was an appealing area to dine in. Other games include race car games (Fast & Furious, Mario Kart, etc.), shooting games, a couple of bowling lanes, basketball, football, and much more. The prizes were the typical prizes you'd find at arcades and obviously overpriced in tickets. Of course the older sibling had an advantage but the younger one held his own. You pay separately if your child wants to do the Human Crane for $25 + tax. As soon as we entered the kiddies go straight to the Winners Circle to check out the prizes. They strategize how many points they need to win to get their item of choice. The employees manning the redemption desk are helpful and must sure enjoy working with kids and their parents or guardians. They do want to come again. Its Dave & Busters, Food is decent and expected for what that place is. Highly recommend sitting at the bar if you want a quick service. If you are dining in on the regular tables with family it might take a while as the workers seem fairly new. They have lots of new games to check out and expect to pay a lot since it gets expensive paying for food, drinks and games. Our first time going to the "new" D&B at Ala Moana. 7/10 experience. Parking - all the parking in the front of D&B and Foodland is "one hour" parking only. If you enter from the Piikoi entrance, make a right into the lot to park. There was a lot of parking on a Wednesday morning. Ambiance - as you walk in you'll see the host stand, if you want to sit down to eat/drink. If not, head straight to the game area. There are a few kiosks (to reload your card) in the front and single ones scattered in the "game area". It seems smaller than the old 2-story location, maybe since everything is on one floor. If you recall how the Shirokiya Food Court was, it looked bigger then because it was all lit. The bar area is definitely bigger, with TVs all around it. A bonus- a "walk up" line to order your drink. There's a larger dining area with booths and tables. Here is where the ginormous TVs are! There's another "smaller" bar near the game area but that one only has beer on tap and the canned seltzers. Food and Drinks- A larger selection of food. I don't recall seeing loco moco or kalbi plate at the other location, but it's on there with more selections. We stuck to the usual flatbread and sandwiches, which was okay. The service was good. Staff- our server Micah was really good and attentive. I sat at the bar later and Kama was awesome. She spent the time to chat with me and to others - she was very personable. Most staff as they passed me were friendly and smiled. There was one worker who was helping with operating the Human Crane. He was nice to my daughter as he was setting her up but he was pretty rude to my cousin who was watching the process. My cousin put the 2 floaters that my nephews won but the worker was yelling (it was loud but it wasn't how he was talking that was rude) why my cousin put it in the walkway (it wasn't in the way). When the worker realized he was watching my daughter, he was like, "oh". There's alway a better way to say things without being rude. Games- the game area was really loud. LOL. Not much old school games. My top 3 were the Bop It, Basketball Connect 4, and my most favorite one is the Arena. The Arena is located at the front as you walk in on the right. There are 2 Arenas! You have to pay for this game - $20 (I think) for 20 minutes. It's a fun game for a group of people (2-8). The video below shows one of the games. If you like competitions, this one is for you! The Human Crane was fun for the kids. You have to pay for this one too. $25/one or $20/for 2. Each kid went once and I don't think they'd do it again unless the prizes change. There are only huge floaters to choose from. IMO, D&B would need to change the prizes up soon before it looses the hype. Maybe add tickets to the floaters? Maybe a free appetizer or drink? Gotta make it more exciting to want to use the Human Crane. Oh, forgot to mention that they also had a few party rooms. There were kids from a summer program there and they had an area near the huge dining area. There was an accordion style door to enclose that area. The other party rooms are enclosed to be more private. Okay, pau. I'd go again for sure. read more

Third time here! Came here to eat and drink and watch UFC 318, Max Holloway vs. Dustin Poirier. And to my surprise... when I got there, they had both fights up!!! Pacquiao vs. Barrios and UFC 318!! That was amazing! I loved that we got to watch both of the best at the same time. So the dining area was quite spacious. Look like had 2 private rooms on each side of the dining area. Had the bar right there that is also kind of like in front of the entrance. Then, more bar stool seating by the bar area. Get one new arena game right by the entrance. A little more seating area across from the human crane, then the game room. I think more private rooms with shuffle board, another private room in the game room area, and the bathroom! All the way in the back, opposite site from the bar! That's a minus. For such a huge establishment and bathroom is opposite from the bar... at least the old dnbs had 2 bathrooms. They should make 2 bathrooms one on the bar side too. And so poor thing, normally the women's bathroom get line, but the men's line had bathroom lol Any way, the food and drinks were still good tho. I love D&B's cuz you can eat, drink, and play. All the faves in one place. I ordered Henney strawberry nirvana, Perfect pink patron, Scooby snack, Mexican candy, Smashed burger sliders, Fries gpt and Funnel cake fries. Everything was good except for the Mexican candy lol it was spicy! I really liked the Scooby snack, it was a good, fun, small shot. Burger sliders were good, fries gpt was good, and those funnel cake fries were good too. All was good! Games are always fun... Would we be back? I'd say definitely. The wife said no cuz the bathroom too far, but I doubt it. read more

This review is on my overall dining and gaming experience. I love the new location! Parking is pretty easy because it's in Ala Moana Shopping Center where the Japan Village Walk used to be. Upon walking in the space is open and loud. There are several kiosk to the left to purchase and recharge power cards for game play. Straight ahead is the hostess station. It was a busy Saturday afternoon and there were 3 girls at the station. 2 of them were very friendly 1 not so much. She just seemed like she didn't want to be there and didn't even look up from the computer screen. The one light skinned girl was the one that greeted me and took me to the table. There were 2 dark skinned girls. The one with long braids was smiling and helping other customers. The other dark skinned girl was the one that was slumped over the computer looking like she didn't want to be there. The dining area is nice and much quieter than when you first walk in. Service was fine and the food was good. There are still some kinks that need working out. Our waitress had some issues putting in the wrong table numbers so we had dishes that weren't ours come to our table. The fries came out cold on all the dishes. I had the fish and it was good, I would order it again. The gaming experience is much more elevated at the new location. There are a lot of the same type of games like coin drop, and racing, but also many new things to try like, the human claw, hungry hippo, UFC and so many more! My family and I will most likely return to experience more of the fun! read more

I was very skeptical about this new location thinking it was too small compared to the Ward one but this is way better! It's a lot more spread out with the games and there's a lot more games than before! Way more racing games. More staff around to help you and we also dined in. Service was top notch almost extra because of their opening but I really appreciated that attention to customer service! Their menu is a lot better than it was and I love how you could redeem your points for food coupons. The portion size is big and my son and I have a blast every time we come here. They also added some dart sections for private parties which I thought was pretty cool. The human claw is fun to watch when you're dining in and I just love the whole vibe here. Wish they had better prizes but I love that they offer food vouchers now. They have happy hour specials and other specials throughout the week to help save some money so be on the lookout. Parking is plentiful, too, since you're at Ala Moana but I gotta say this place gets packed at night! read more

Like a new shiny toy this place invites the curious and crowds eager for new entertainment. It's cool D&B is conveniently located at the mall. There's always parking somewhere. The interior is huge with a restaurant, two bars, party room and games. There's a happy hour from 4pm to 7pm. The games are entertaining and can be played by kids and adults. You can probably spend hours eating, drinking and playing video games. Love there are small tables near the games to put your food and drinks down. We have been there twice. Once for lunch and once for an event. Lunch was reasonably priced with large adult portions. Do not recommend kids dishes..small with no drink or sides. Burger is decent and very good with the fries. Happy hour drinks are half price but we could not figure out how much the drinks were priced at. The Cabernet was Josh..so decent. The game room has so many options and some reminiscent of the eighties like Pac-Man, skeet ball, air hockey. Modern virtual games with car races and motorcycle rides were fun since you can race against others. This location has so many options and it was being able to experience the Game Center! read more

Really polite servers. It can take a while if you go during game time, especially during playoffs, but they text you when table is ready so we enjoyed a bunch of games. The menu selection is impressive, but for some odd reason I accepted the steam recommendation. The steak was good and decent price, but you don't go to D&B for steak so that was my bad since it wasn't filling and I wasn't a fan of the mashed potatoes. The food was good, but noticeably salty. My kids were super thirsty afterwards. Prices were surprisingly good and I got a 90 min play card for $40 so the kids could play unlimited afterwards. The server kinda forgot about me but she felt bad I saw her eating her break while I was waiting for my food. I'll for sure return she try something else with a pitcher of beer to wash down the salt! read more
