***Updated Review*** I was contacted by the owner of Dash Electric, Nick, shortly after posting the below review and he asked how he could "make things right" since I was clearly dissatisfied with the service I received. I really appreciate the management going above and beyond in this instance and therefore changed my rating from the original 2 stars I gave it to 4. I am leaving the review below as is though since it was the experience I had. The only thing about this after the fact customer service attempt that bothered me was the multiple and repeated requests I received by the owner to remove my review. Tonight for example, I received three phone calls and a text message from the owner. I opted against deleting it since it felt dishonest and I never agreed to do so in the first place. I'm not here to pad Yelp pages with positive only reviews, that's not what I look for on Yelp, I look for honesty so I can make an informed decision. And honestly, I will not be re-using Dash Electric but appreciate the gesture by the owner to make things a little better. ****Original Review**** David was one of the first to respond to my request for a quote and came out within an hour to give a free quote. This set a very positive tone for me as this was the first major electrical issue I've had since purchasing my house. My breaker box ended up needing to be replaced and David gave a very fair price. It was arranged he would only start the project that day and then come back the next day to finish because I had to leave at 3pm. By the time 3pm came around, I was told it would be at least 2 hours before my electricity would be turned back on and my option was to leave my house unlocked so he could go in and out while I was gone. Needless to say I wasn't okay with that as I have five dogs and cats and you know, he is a stranger after all. It was incredibly frustrating that this happened especially since we had already discussed this and agreed to spread the project out over two days. I tried pushing my plans back but ended up having to cancel them all together even though they had been made a week prior and eventually, 3 (not 2) hours later, the job was done. If he didn't want to do a two day project, he could have said so and the whole thing could have been scheduled to be done the following day to have avoided all of this. David recommended a friend, Nicolas, to do the stucco around the box and advised he regularly refers his clients to Nicolas. However Nicolas does not speak English and all payment for him goes through David only so it has to be paid for in advance. $220 later and there was an 8am appointment with Nicolas that Sunday. Sunday comes around and by 11am, Nicolas still isn't there. After communicating with David, Nicolas rescheduled for 8am on Weds. I thought it was weird he scheduled for the 4th if July but at that point I just wanted it done. Come July 4th at 8am, Nicolas isn't here. At 8:30, David communicates that they forgot it was a holiday and asked to come the next day at 8am. I agree but advised if for whatever reason that 3rd appointment doesn't work out, I'd like a refund. The next day comes around and guess who still isn't there by 10:30am. I communicate this with David and he talks to Nicolas and says they are now on their way over. Thankfully I was able to still arrange for someone to be there as I was at work. They arrive and tell my friend it'll be 40 minutes. 90 minutes later, the job is done and they leave. I only know this because my friend told me, I never heard from David again. Overall, as reasonable as the pricing was, it just wasn't worth all the headache with the scheduling and the no-shows and the VERY inaccurate time estimates. If you're going to go with Dash electric, make sure you have no plans scheduled the day they're set to come out and don't go with any of their recommended friends for any additional work that needs to be done as they're INCREDIBLY unreliable. read more

They came in and installed 2 outlets in my house. 1 in a bedroom that had zero plug in outlets, and another in a bathroom. I also had a ceiling light that wouldn't turn on, so they fixed that as well. I can now blow dry and do my makeup in this second restroom! Woohoo. So happy with their service. David is a great electician. I submitted for quotes on Yelp, and he was the first one to contact me. He let me know he could be at my house to give a quote within 2 hrs. And then he told me he could get the work done first thing the next morning. I needed a Ring floodlight camera installed and a ceiling fan installed. He also took a look at my electric stove and gave me some advice. Altogether, I'm really pleased with his work. He was fast, efficient and professional. After reading numerous positive reviews on Yelp for Dash Electric I decided to call for an appointment. David picked up right away and he didn't have a problem coming out on a Saturday to accommodate my work schedule. He arrived right on time and installed three ceiling fans (complete with wiring) and recommended that I rewire my electrical box which was in sad shape. Because he was there already he gave me a very reasonable price to take care of it. He even hooked up a pull chain extender on one of the fans for me (Yeah, I'm short). I would highly recommend David and Dash Electric. He really knows his stuff and strikes me as very reliable, honest and professional. He'll be my electrician until the cows come home!
