Eating out is supposed to be an experience and this certainly was, but not a good one. Googled best steak in Dublin and this restaurant came up. Booked for last Saturday night and were seated in a very cramped area through the back of the restaurant which was overcrowded. I ordered a "Blue" Sirloin which was cooked much more than my wifes rare fillet and about the same as my colleagues medium rare Ribeye. I called the waitress who called what appeared to be the manager, I explained the situation and she took the steak away to the chef who said that was how they cooked "blue" steak, not something I, or anyone I or any of the people at our table have ever seen before. She asked would I like another, I replied I would like a fillet cooked "blue", seared on the outside and a minute or so each side. She stated it would be some time as the chef was busy. It was plain she was quite annoyed at me. Sometime later when all at the table had finished she arrived with a fillet which was lightly browned on the outside, not seared, and ice cold in the centre. I decided to eat and leave at that stage. I, nor anyone at our table will be back in Darwins and I really couldn't recommend it to anyone. I am aware this is only one experience. read more
