When Carly did my practice run, we have a couple of things come up. I liked my makeup but the concealer shined in flash lighting, some of the colors were a little bright for my liking, and the lashes felt really heavy. The important piece is: A- she did a practice run so we didn't find this out on wedding day. She corrected everything and I was so happy with my makeup. B- When I told her about the color choices she was gracious, and totally responsive to what I wanted...not what she thought looked best. My comfort was her #1 concern. C- She went out and found extra light, perfect lashed especially for me and my sensitive eyes. Above and beyond service. 2. PROFESSIONAL and FLEXIBLE!!! Carly did full makeup for me, my mom and a bridesmaid, then she did lashes and eyes for 8 other bridesmaids and eyes for the flower girls. She was accommodating, professional and FAST :) She is hysterical and personable too! 3. VALUE!!! Worth every penny! Being a Cali native myself, the name intrigued me. I later found out the owner is from Cali also…read moreand often travels to and from there to here. They prefer appointments, but will take walk-ins (be mindful that priority will always go to appointment clients) I wanted to do a walk in, but ended up setting a same day appointment, only 2 hours after I made the call, so it a doable wait time. I ate lunch and had a nap before coming in, so it was already leading up to a nice chill day. My stylist was an older lady, and she was very pleasant, quick nimble with the scissors and mostly styled my hair with just her hands (I have natural waves) and used very little product. And my hair turned out better than I expected. I basically got a wolf cut with soft layers. As we talked, I found out she's had a collective of over 30 years experience cutting hair both abroad and here In the states. I can really appreciate the service she gave along with her pleasant demeanor during the whole experience I had. My husband ended up going there to get his hair cut a few days later...and I was happy with what they did to his hair as well. Very clean and styled in a way that suits his face and head shape. Not just a cookie cutter hairstyle that looks the same on everyone. This one really flattered his specific look and personality. The only downside is parking on a busy day, the lot is small and right up near a busy street. So I understand why they encourage appointments, to keep the parking lot from being crowded. So it seems like they already put some consideration into setting up a good experience for their clientele. I look forward to visiting them again in the future for a color job I want to try. All I wanted this time around was a wash, cut and style and it was decently priced and professionally done in a relatively short amount of time.
