They prefer appointments, but will take walk-ins (be mindful that priority will always go to appointment clients) I wanted to do a walk in, but ended up setting a same day appointment, only 2 hours after I made the call, so it a doable wait time. I ate lunch and had a nap before coming in, so it was already leading up to a nice chill day. My stylist was an older lady, and she was very pleasant, quick nimble with the scissors and mostly styled my hair with just her hands (I have natural waves) and used very little product. And my hair turned out better than I expected. I basically got a wolf cut with soft layers. As we talked, I found out she's had a collective of over 30 years experience cutting hair both abroad and here In the states. I can really appreciate the service she gave along with her pleasant demeanor during the whole experience I had. My husband ended up going there to get his hair cut a few days later...and I was happy with what they did to his hair as well. Very clean and styled in a way that suits his face and head shape. Not just a cookie cutter hairstyle that looks the same on everyone. This one really flattered his specific look and personality. The only downside is parking on a busy day, the lot is small and right up near a busy street. So I understand why they encourage appointments, to keep the parking lot from being crowded. So it seems like they already put some consideration into setting up a good experience for their clientele. I look forward to visiting them again in the future for a color job I want to try. All I wanted this time around was a wash, cut and style and it was decently priced and professionally done in a relatively short amount of time. Awesome! The ladies were very friendly and the studio itself was clean and smelled like the lavender essential oils they had diffusing. A nice touch. On my appointment day, I arrived early, yet Kate accommodated me right away. She asked if I needed anything to drink then got right to work. Some women treat their hair appointments as a therapy session. I'm not one of those women. Thank goodness, neither was Kate. She knocked out my perm lickety-split without all the unnecessary chatter. I couldn't have been more pleased. My hair normally takes 4+ hours to perm and she knocked it out in 2. She was truly a perm queen. The salon stayed buzzing with other customers and all the stylists helped each other out which was nice to see. The prices were equal to that around town. They spent several hours patiently working through the tangles, even providing her with hot chocolate to keep her comfortable while they worked their magic. After a thorough treatment, steaming, and a careful trim, the results were absolutely fantastic. Most importantly, my granddaughter was thrilled with how she looked. She burned me multiple times and ended up needing advice about heat temp and technique by the manager. She also tried to post before and after results of my hair even though on the form I signed when I first came in I specifically noted that I didn't want to have my pictures on social media. Afterwards, I asked how I should upkeep it and she just said to wrap it. I asked how to do that and she said "I don't know." I looked like Kate Middleton with a bad blow out the next day. The next time I came to just get a trim. The stylist only asked one question about if I was allergic to rosemary (even though I already wrote that in the intake form). She also parted my hair directly in my face and left the store (like actually clocked out) while I was under the hair dryer and told someone in passing to ring me up in 15 min. Last but not least I got my hair finger coiled and to be honest I was for once extremely happy with the result. The stylist answered all my questions and I was left very satisfied despite taking three hours. The only reason I've come back is that I have a bday gift card I'm trying to use up. Otherwise I'd never walk in again. It shouldn't have taken me three different services by three different stylist to be happy.
