Thank God for people and leaders like Elissa (owner) of Elle Madison!! I had my first appointment with her to try and get a color that I really wanted and she made it happen! I had went in on a Friday at 6pm and we both didn't leave the salon until 1am because of the process and how much hair I have!! I felt horrible that I kept her there that late and for so many hours but that is a true definition of a hard worker and leader! She is much appreciated for the time she spent on me! My hair is exactly what I wanted, and she made sure to make it happen even if it took 7 hours . This salon is by far the best salon I have been to in Virginia Beach! This adorable salon is in a convenient location, the physical address is in an easy to reach area with lots of available parking. The workers are extremely sweet, and super kind. They accepted me with my baby and were extremely welcoming and supportive. Jennifer did an amazing job with my hair and showed so much patience, she had a crazy product to work with but gave me an amazing outcome! Tip for this place they are by appointment only so make sure to contact them through their Facebook page to book an appointment. This is a little more time consuming due to not just being able to call for availabilities or just randomly show for a haircut, however the results they give are extremely worth the effort. Doesn't get much better than Victoria. Not only are her styles and color fantastic... but she's not too chatty. She makes me feel comfortable. She's a delight. The studio doesn't get 5 stars because it's ridiculously loud in there. The music is unfortunate. I think the studio would do well with finding an acoustician (or anyone who understands that sound reverberates) and dampen the noise level in there. Other than that, all the staff has been fabulous! After growing out a bad haircut for the last seven months it was definitely time to get it cut. I was apprehensive about finding a new stylist after having many bad experiences over the years. I did my research and Kim Whitfield's name kept coming up again and again. I figured it was fate so I booked an appointment with her and I was nit disappointed. I'm so pleased with my experience! The salon is very nice, as are the other stylists working there. Everyone was super friendly. Kim is very sweet and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. She left the parts that are growing out alone, only trimming the ends minimally instead of hacking away at them. My hair looks great and Kim has earned a new client. read more

I went to this salon from the time it opened following my stylist Sara Beth from the Maxx Salon; she is my go-to girl. In 2017 I moved to Arizona, but before that, I made my fiancé start going to her since I knew I could trust her to make sure that he wouldn't look like an idiot. I have had a relationship with her longer than any man, and she is the only person I trust to take care of my hair or my fiancé's. Now that I am moving back to Hampton Roads, there is no question. I am heading straight back to Elle Madison, and booking my appointment, blocking her off for my wedding, and putting my complete faith and trust in her abilities. I can always count on her to tell me when an idea of mine is unrealistic, will be entirely unflattering, or is downright just going to damage and ruin my hair. Her honesty and abilities to come up with solutions that works are fantastic. I know when I leave her chair I will never be dissatisfied. Sara Beth is personable, warm, friendly, but can also tell when you just need to relax and have a quiet day as well. As for the salon itself, the color scheme is very charming. There is always someone cleaning, sweeping, or folding towels. The salon as a whole seems very inviting and doesn't seem cold or offputting at all. IM SO HAPPY. I contacted Jennifer and she was able to book me a few weeks out but before my daughters birthday party which I am so grateful for. My hair was dead, dry, split, and just unhealthy. She cut a good amount off, did an all over color, and a treatment. I cannot be any happier. I don't even remember the last time my hair looked AND felt this amazing. My husband is for sure taking me out tonight. All the girls working there today were friendly and I never once felt out of place or uncomfortable. Highly recommend them, especially Jennifer! Paid 200$ for highlights and wasn't done properly. The front part of my head wasn't processed enough and there were parts in the very front of my head that weren't pulled tight enough. I asked to have it fixed but said I would have to pay again. If you are looking for blonde, this isn't the place to go. read more

I can not begin to express the frustration of moving to a new area and not having a decent hair stylist. I've been in VA for 8 years and just recently found the VERY BEST that VA has. I look forward to my next cut and/or color with Shalonda. If you are looking for someone that is willing to listen to what you want instead of what they want to give you..she's the one. Sara Beth is a hair goddess! I am not from around here and have had some interesting experiences in the Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach area to say the least... I drive 45+ minutes for Sara Beth to work her magic and I am NEVER disappointed! I happen to be quite hard to please and I have been blessed to have found Sara Beth (not joking). Sara Beth knows how to work with her clients! If you know what you want, she makes sure she understands exactly what you want and will make suggestions if needed. My first appointment with her was an updo for a very important occasion. She was meticulous in getting it right and making sure I loved it including suggestions that I would never have thought of. She let me see the progress to ensure I was happy which is very different from other updo stylists that just show you the final product. We talked the whole time about my hair mishaps and she had ideas and suggestions for future appointments and I have had the most gorgeous hair ever since! I get so so so many compliments on my hair as well! Besides her incredible talent, my favorite thing about her is that she cares about her clients and loves her job!! JENNIFER IS THE BEST...I have been going to her for almost 8 years, and drove nearly an hour for her services for the first 2 years. I will never let anyone else touch my hair. :). She is patient with questions, indecisiveness (me), and teaches you about hair care and maintenance. I've even texted her on weekends, for random hair advice. I've been doing my hair with Sholanda for about 2 years. Cut, color, highlights and she is the only hair stylist that I know that gives you a nice massage during hair wash. She is great! I wish she can still do my hair but we had to move. The salon is cute, bright and clean!
