Chatira is great at what she does .... my main problem with her is she cancelled my appointment, never refunded my deposit of $75 or returned / refunded my $200 wig that she was supposed to style for my appointment. I had seen this warning about her on reviews from other people but didn't believe it. Till it happened to me. I tried reaching out to her but she blocked my number, never responded to my messages to her on social media and then changed locations... she did this to a lot of other women out here in Cali... she's good till she changes locations because of issues which happens often. read more

I searched long and hard before I decided on a place to get my extensions. Many places quoted me double and triple what she quoted me. Although I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" it wasn't necessarily cheap. You can just tell she's not out to get your money. She wants happy customers that keep coming back and that's exactly what I am. I got 30 inch sew in extensions. She did them rather quickly and it's been almost an entire month and I'm finally feeling like I have to get them tightened. I also put my hair through quite a bit of hardship being that I practice mma with it a couple of times a week. With that said, she did an awesome job! The price was very fair. The upkeep charge is also extremely reasonable. And sitting in her chair is always a good time. It felt like catching up with an old friend. I unfortunately have to change my review from 5 to 1 stars. Chatira is really nice, but my hair has never been so damaged in my life. I'll try to make this short.. I went to Chatira twice to get my hair relaxed. After the first time, I washed my hair every other week and only applied heat during drying. The second time (6-8 weeks later), I asked for just my roots to be retouched but it seemed like my whole head got relaxed again. I went home and again, after 2 weeks, I washed my hair and deep conditioned it. After I got out of the shower, 1 of the 2 tracks had severely fallen. I figured my hair came out of the braid and waited for my next appointment (2 weeks later). Chatira told me my hair had broken all off because I wasn't taking care of it. I told her I washed, conditioned, and deep conditioned every other week. I also added oils at least 2-3x a week and never used the flat iron on my hair (only the extensions). Chatira told me I'd have to reconsider getting into a weave again (which I'm trying to come out of) and just washed and pressed my hair and said to come back in 2 weeks. Made another appointment and when I got out of the chair, my hair was dry, fluffy, and she didn't straighten my roots or fully straighten the extensions. When I got home, my family said it looked like I washed and blow dried my hair and then ran out of the door because I was running late for work. They were SHOCKED I just came from the salon. After reading a negative review on here and how Chatira told a client she wished she would have said something, I texted her and told her how unhappy with my hair I am. Chatira, although still nice, wasn't able to offer a discount on the service (since I had already left) but offered $10 off if I chose to come back. She also told I must be applying heat because she noticed the top of my hair is breaking off too and I should consider a wig. So...coming into her services 3 months ago, I had hair just past my shoulders and now almost all of it has broken off?? And in the last 3 weeks, I haven't touched my hair with the flat iron because I KNOW my hair is sensitive right now, but I'm still to blame?! I wouldn't recommend Chatira for natural hair or people trying to grow their hair. I've gone to countless different hairstylist and my hair has never, EVER looked like this! read more

I have been trying to transition my hair to it's natural state and it has been a process. I have been going to Chatira for about 6 months now and every time I leave her shop, I feel more confident and in control of my hair. My hair is becoming so manageable and shiny. This time, she added color. Woohoo! It is such a vibrant color. It is a temporary color so it is not damaging my hair in any way. Ok so this review is looooooong overdue but Chatira is AMAZING! At the end of 2015, I had just moved to Fullerton and needed to find someone to do my hair. I had used StyleSeat before to find my previous hairdresser so I thought I'd try it again. Chatira had really good reviews and I liked the pictures of her work so I thought I'd give this shop a chance. I've gotten my hair done by her a few times, only to get it washed and pressed but I left satisfied every time. She is really nice and personable which makes you feel like you're getting your hair done by an old friend instead of a stranger. The products that she uses smell so good and they're made for natural and relaxed hair so no sulfates, parabens, etc. Fast forward to me moving out of state which was really sad because once I find a hairdresser I like, I want to go to them forever! I ended up having to go back to California in July 2017 for a wedding and I wasn't sure if I wanted to get my hair done where I lived or when I got to California. I tried searching for about a week and none of the stylists in my area impressed me so about 2-3 weeks before the wedding I went on StyleSeat with a hope and a prayer that she had openings around the time I was going to be out there and sadly, nothing was open. As a last resort, I texted Chatira almost desperate at this point and she told me that she would see if she could move an appointment around and fit me in! We end up making it work and I go down to California and get a relaxer, wash, condition, blow dry, and full sew in. It turned out BEAUTIFULLY and I left out of her chair in only 4 hours. Chatira is really fast at what she does which is great for a busy student like myself, if you work full time or you're a mom. I've never spent more than 4 hours in her chair which is a huge plus to someone that used to dread going to the shop and being there for 6+ hours. I wish she was my own personal hair dresser so I could fly her across the country whenever I needed her to do my hair! read more
