The excellence!!! I'm just gonna start with that. Sharona and Chatira have been angels sent to me, and I just met them this week! I needed to find a salon where I could get beautiful results, because I'm from out of state! Looking up salons and finding them on the top of the list all the way from across the country was not an accident - these ladies simply are some of the best. The atmosphere is amazing, they take good care of you, they're efficient, and most of all TALENTED! They're so kind and considerate, I haven't only just gotten amazing stylists, I've made friends. My silk press came out perfect, and I went back in 2 days to get a Brazilian. No complaints. So look no further ladies and gents and all of y'all in-between. Sharona and Chatira will have you looking RIGHT and then some! So much love for these ladies read more

Silk Press and deep conditioning for my daughter. Great service, consistent quality and timely. Clean and modern salon. She gets us in and out. Before Chatira her hair was very dry and difficult. Now, healthy hair, healthy ends, silky smooth and manageable. So glad I found her on IG read more

I recently moved to Orange County and desperately needed to find a black hairstylist. I had tried a salon in Irvine but that didn't work out too well and was very unsatisfied with my results... However, when I found Chatira, my life was forever changed!!! I feel more confident with my appearance every time I come to her. She has worked wonders with my hair ! Highly recommend!!! 10/10 read more

Chatira is great at what she does .... my main problem with her is she cancelled my appointment, never refunded my deposit of $75 or returned / refunded my $200 wig that she was supposed to style for my appointment. I had seen this warning about her on reviews from other people but didn't believe it. Till it happened to me. I tried reaching out to her but she blocked my number, never responded to my messages to her on social media and then changed locations... she did this to a lot of other women out here in Cali... she's good till she changes locations because of issues which happens often. read more

She's the best :) I love her extensions. She never tightens my hair too tight just right. She will put you to sleep when she braids your hair she has special touch. The best hair dresser in the area I like sew in because you never feel or see those beads poking out your head. Everyone thinks my hair is naturally long and if that's what your going for come visit her book an appointment and see her she is thee best ;) read more

Chatira is absolutely amazing my hair looks perfect every time I leave the salon and so much shine! She truly cares about your hair. I am so grateful to have found her! Stephanie is good too, but I have also experienced the over charging was quoted $65 and requoted 85 then $125 and then charged $140 yikes, not that she didn't do a great job just was not prepared to pay that for cornrows. Some tips: be on time hair dressers have a schedule to keep and just one person can mess up the whole day. Use the Boosky app to book it's a great tool and it sends you a reminder. You will love the salon and the girls read more

Chatira is a dream, she flat-ironed my daughter's hair and it looked fabulous. she deep conditioned her first and had her sit under a blow dryer for at least 30 min. I truly beleive that due to her pre-treatment the ironing did very little to no damage to my kids hair and when she washed it out after a few days, her curls came back immediately and, believe it or not, her hair was silkier than it ever been in a long time. Chatira is the Truth! now my kid keeps asking me to bring her in for deep conditioning treatments. We will be back in the new year! read more

I was over charged for the deep condition and flat iron... (estimated $55+) Charged $65 deep shampoo & $15 for trim) Used a hot comb and flat iron on natural...wasn't straight and didn't last two hours! read more

I searched long and hard before I decided on a place to get my extensions. Many places quoted me double and triple what she quoted me. Although I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" it wasn't necessarily cheap. You can just tell she's not out to get your money. She wants happy customers that keep coming back and that's exactly what I am. I got 30 inch sew in extensions. She did them rather quickly and it's been almost an entire month and I'm finally feeling like I have to get them tightened. I also put my hair through quite a bit of hardship being that I practice mma with it a couple of times a week. With that said, she did an awesome job! The price was very fair. The upkeep charge is also extremely reasonable. And sitting in her chair is always a good time. It felt like catching up with an old friend. Would definitely recommend her to anyone trying to get their hair done. read more

Chatira is the literal truth, I am so happy to have found her. My hair is growing, and is being well maintained. My first appointment back in February was for a natural trim, and she two strand flat twisted my hair. My more recent appointment in April was for a blown out an trim. Her space is inviting and clean. As a stylist shes very professional and knowledgeable about her craft. I highly recommend her as a stylist. read more

SHE MADE ME HAPPY. I found Unleashed hair salon at Yelp first, I contacted chatira and she responded so quickly! I asked her to come for consultation at the same time and she said yes!! I Went there she was so nice and she was absolutely know about what she's talking about... she's a full package for anyone who needs a make over! We sat an appointment after few days and thank her she squeezed me since I needed my hair done for my anniversary. On the day of the appointment she did an amazing job on (tone/install extension/haircut) and she gave me shampoo for color "aftercare". All of that was in reasonable price!! Definitely going back and just to let you know I'm so picky and this is my first time that i like my hair so much! Thanks chatira xoxo Here is before and after pics. read more

She is amazing always gets me in and out. No nonsense no double booking. A relaxing time.

My appointment was canceled by her due to the COVID-19 outbreak. When I asked for a refund she told me deposits were non refundable and blocked my number. Told her I'm out of my job due to the pandemic and still would not Venmo me back. Would not recommend a person that would take advantage in a time of crisis. read more

Ms. Chatira done bodied my hair & I look amazing! ‍ So thankful to have found her, I was searching for someone local, but more than anything quality because our hair is our crown but also, color. ‍ God blessed me to find Beauty Unleashed because her work is amazing, she provides tips on how to keep my hair healthy & flourishing, and she gave my hair the TLC it needed above & beyond - not to mention the color was on point. Will definitely be back and can't wait to try her other styles when I do!!!! read more

I unfortunately have to change my review from 5 to 1 stars. Chatira is really nice, but my hair has never been so damaged in my life. I'll try to make this short.. I went to Chatira twice to get my hair relaxed. After the first time, I washed my hair every other week and only applied heat during drying. The second time (6-8 weeks later), I asked for just my roots to be retouched but it seemed like my whole head got relaxed again. I went home and again, after 2 weeks, I washed my hair and deep conditioned it. After I got out of the shower, 1 of the 2 tracks had severely fallen. I figured my hair came out of the braid and waited for my next appointment (2 weeks later). Chatira told me my hair had broken all off because I wasn't taking care of it. I told her I washed, conditioned, and deep conditioned every other week. I also added oils at least 2-3x a week and never used the flat iron on my hair (only the extensions). Chatira told me I'd have to reconsider getting into a weave again (which I'm trying to come out of) and just washed and pressed my hair and said to come back in 2 weeks. Made another appointment and when I got out of the chair, my hair was dry, fluffy, and she didn't straighten my roots or fully straighten the extensions. When I got home, my family said it looked like I washed and blow dried my hair and then ran out of the door because I was running late for work. They were SHOCKED I just came from the salon. After reading a negative review on here and how Chatira told a client she wished she would have said something, I texted her and told her how unhappy with my hair I am. Chatira, although still nice, wasn't able to offer a discount on the service (since I had already left) but offered $10 off if I chose to come back. She also told I must be applying heat because she noticed the top of my hair is breaking off too and I should consider a wig. So...coming into her services 3 months ago, I had hair just past my shoulders and now almost all of it has broken off?? And in the last 3 weeks, I haven't touched my hair with the flat iron because I KNOW my hair is sensitive right now, but I'm still to blame?! I wouldn't recommend Chatira for natural hair or people trying to grow their hair. I've gone to countless different hairstylist and my hair has never, EVER looked like this! read more

Chatira is so great. She is patient and takes her time to help me figure out what to do with my hair every time I come in. I have been trying to transition my hair to it's natural state and it has been a process. I have been going to Chatira for about 6 months now and every time I leave her shop, I feel more confident and in control of my hair. My hair is becoming so manageable and shiny. This time, she added color. Woohoo! It is such a vibrant color. It is a temporary color so it is not damaging my hair in any way. We worked together to do this so I can lighten my hair in stages, instead of just bleaching and damaging it, and I can still enjoy some color in the meantime. I am very happy to have met Chatira and look forward to going to see her again next month. read more

The Hair salon itself is beautiful, very clean and neat. My stylist tho Stephanie (hey girl) did an amazing job with my hair. She was very gentle with it, took her time and patience and worked a great pace. She did my braid down for my wig and I love it so neat and parts are even. She's very nice and a friendly, professional woman. If you want a great braider at affordable prices ask for Stephanie . read more

I've been getting my hair done since I was in the 5th grade, I'm currently a senior in college, and I have NEVER been charged based on the length & amount of hair I've had. Extremely disappointing. Recently moved to Cali and in desperate need of a wax...down there :-) Found this gem via a friend's personal recommendation & was beyond impressed by the quality of service & professionalism. As a 1st time client Sharona made me feel right at home; no awkward pauses or shocked looks when she saw the bush she had to tackle... RIP to my personal wolverine. Convo flowed pleasantly during the short process for my brazilian wax. Then she explained the vajacial treatment in great detail and answered all my idiotic questions; yes it's exactly as it sounds: facial for the vaj. Everything went so well; I even bought the serum & exfoliating glove. Happy with the results & can't wait to see the progress... I'd post a pic but I'm pretty sure yelp would block me LOL but take my word for it...get it done selfcare2020 :-) read more

I was fortunate enough to find Chatira one Monday afternoon when I was desperate for a local stylist to do my hair the same day! To my pleasant surprise, Chatira agreed to do my hair that Monday evening and her shop is 10 minutes from my parent's home. When I told Chatira that I was having difficulty wearing natural curls due to extreme frizziness on drying, she recommended I try a protein treatment. The treatment made a huge difference. My hair is softer, smoother, and more manageable. I highly recommend Chatira for your haircare needs. read more

Ok so this review is looooooong overdue but Chatira is AMAZING! At the end of 2015, I had just moved to Fullerton and needed to find someone to do my hair. I had used StyleSeat before to find my previous hairdresser so I thought I'd try it again. Chatira had really good reviews and I liked the pictures of her work so I thought I'd give this shop a chance. I've gotten my hair done by her a few times, only to get it washed and pressed but I left satisfied every time. She is really nice and personable which makes you feel like you're getting your hair done by an old friend instead of a stranger. The products that she uses smell so good and they're made for natural and relaxed hair so no sulfates, parabens, etc. Fast forward to me moving out of state which was really sad because once I find a hairdresser I like, I want to go to them forever! I ended up having to go back to California in July 2017 for a wedding and I wasn't sure if I wanted to get my hair done where I lived or when I got to California. I tried searching for about a week and none of the stylists in my area impressed me so about 2-3 weeks before the wedding I went on StyleSeat with a hope and a prayer that she had openings around the time I was going to be out there and sadly, nothing was open. As a last resort, I texted Chatira almost desperate at this point and she told me that she would see if she could move an appointment around and fit me in! We end up making it work and I go down to California and get a relaxer, wash, condition, blow dry, and full sew in. It turned out BEAUTIFULLY and I left out of her chair in only 4 hours. Chatira is really fast at what she does which is great for a busy student like myself, if you work full time or you're a mom. I've never spent more than 4 hours in her chair which is a huge plus to someone that used to dread going to the shop and being there for 6+ hours. I wish she was my own personal hair dresser so I could fly her across the country whenever I needed her to do my hair! read more
