I can't recommend Rashida at Hair Cuttery enough! After another salon severely damaged and fried my hair, I honestly thought there was no saving it. Rashida completely transformed my hair and restored my confidence. She took the time to assess the damage, explained exactly what my hair needed, and worked her magic. Not only does my hair look healthier than I ever expected, but the cut and overall transformation exceeded every expectation I had. She is incredibly knowledgeable, talented, and genuinely cares about the health of her clients' hair rather than just rushing through an appointment. If you've had a bad salon experience or you're looking for someone you can truly trust with your hair, Rashida is the one. Thank you for giving me my confidence back and making me love my hair again! read more

Dirty. Terrible service. Overcharged. Been to other salons by this chain and not charged extra. Would strongly recommend against this location. read more

BLACK MEN, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES COME HERE. I dont know any black men who do go to Hair Cutteries in the first place, but I was in need and needed something fast and nearby. It's on me for waiting the day before graduation to get a haircut but had I known it would be this bad I'd have done it myself. Booked online (the portal said an appointment was $17; I ended up paying $50). Showed up wanting nothing fancy, just a line up and a beard trim; I saw other reviews mentioning that certain of the staff were good with textured hair and so I went in optimistic. The woman who ultimately ended up cutting my hair did a horrible job. If Im the first black male whose hair she ever cut I would not be shocked. Lineup uneven. Patchy areas left along back of neck. A slight cut on my chin from the beard went uncleaned (I applied alcohol at home); I left covered in my own hair. Shortly thereafter ran into roommates on the street and they were shocked. The whole cut was about 15 minutes long, and as I said I ended up paying $50+tip (God knows why I left one; I will say she took the beard off so that's appreciated). My mention that I was a graduating student did not even warrant a congratulations. And now my hair looks worse than when I showed up. Thank God the gown comes with a cap. read more

Went to Rashida and she is the best! So sweet, great haircut and got me right in! Such a great environment and overall experience

Rashida did an AMAZING job on my curly hair! She was so attentive and detailed when it came to giving me the cut and style that I was looking for and made sure to describe what she was doing with my hair every step of the way. I usually have terrible cut anxiety when it comes to sitting in a new stylist's chair but once I saw her taking notes as I was describing what I wanted I knew I was in good hands. I can not wait to come back for my next appointment as I feel it'll be even easier than the first! read more

Angie did a wonderful job with my hair cut. She is both knowledgeable and friendly. She also let me know they had senior days. I never knew. Thank you Angie. You know how to mention perks!!! read more

The service was good, my stylist was great but one glaring issue and that is that I was brought I via a series of texts from an automated system. When I asked that system the price for a basic men's haircut I was told the price would be about $15. When I went to pay the price was about $24. When I showed the lovely lady the texts between myself and Lily (the automated system) she was surprised and she did absolutely the right thing and called a HairCuttery help line that agreed to refund the difference! This was all good but when I addressed this with management of the automated system they were content to have simply refunded me but appeared to have no interest in correcting the error for the likely thousands of others out there, most of whom will not complain! Profitable for Hair Cuttery but dishonest! When I pointed this out via text they had no response! read more

Rashida is amazing! highly recommend her for hair cuts and hair coloring! she takes her time and doesn't rush

Got a great haircut from Jamie! Friendly and listened to everything I wanted out of the haircut.

I walked in today hoping for a summer curl flexi set and Rasheeda was quick to jump into action to creatively get the style I desired by hand. She was thorough, attentive, kind and allowed me to take a nap while her soft and relaxing touch went to work. The music playing was a relaxing vibe and overall professional. The salon was clean and my service was timely and quick. Excellent service for a great value. I'll be back. read more

Where do I start. Not only did Rashida exceed my hair expectations in terms of cut dye and style but she was such a kind soul who offered a listening ear. Before I even paid for my service, I'd booked my next appointment with her. She was very professional personable and kind to customers and staff alike. Excellent job. Gave a nice haircut and great service. Highly recommend them to anyone in the Redmill area.

Getting your hair treated and cut by a new stylist can be uncomfortable. I'm visitng from out of town and needed a quick appointment and was styled by Alita. She was fantastic. Thorough, communicative, and skilled. Admittedly, I dont think I like the keratin products used at the salon, but only time will really tell. Either way, my appointment went very well. Thanks Alita! read more

I scheduled an appointment for a haircut and a blowout. Per their website, I expected a haircut + blowout + shampoo + conditioner. I arrived and they asked what I was in for. I answered with a haircut and a blowout. They immediately washed my hair and started straightening it. They made no mention of not having time for my service. Not what I asked for, but I'll let it slide. Half way through my appointment, someone else shows up to have a haircut with the stylist working with me. They quickly discuss behind me that I must have only booked a straightening add-on and this is my fault. They tell me to wait while she does this man's hair and they'll get back to me when they have a chance. So, I make it known that I have other commitments and I'll just finish my hair at home. They refuse to let me and sit me down to wait. I double checked my appointment and I booked for exactly what I came in for. When I showed them this, they explained how it's my fault for not checking their schedule to make sure they had time for me. On their website booking this service was easily an option and didn't give me the opportunity to "check if they had time between clients for me". They eventually got me back into the chair, about 30 minutes later. They finished my hair and charged me $72. read more

CJ did a fabulous job on my hair color today. I shared with him my vision, and he gave me his feed back and we ended up going with his suggestion. My hair streaks look amazing! I walked in with a photo and an idea and Michelle completely brought it to life. She was easy to talk to and made sure that my hair was everything that I desired. I've been to stylist before who would be comfortable with doing what is easy. My hair responds to color in a unique way and even when she first applied the toner she was able to see that uniqueness come to life. Not one to back down from a challenge she tackled it and the end result is more than what I expected. As if that was not enough I was on a strict time constraint and she delivered with minutes to spare. I will certainly come back and ask for Michelle specifically. I love bringing my kid to Hair Cuttery! He absolutely hates having his hair cut, clippers ratchet his shoulders up to his ears. Super ticklish head. His stylist Virginia does such an amazing job with him, keeping him calm and distracted. He always gets the style he wants and has a fun experience. He only wants his hair cut at Hair Cuttery. $13 for a kids shampoo and cut is a great price. We even trek to Ghent from OV just to see Virginia. read more

Marriah was amazing with my mom. She had so much patience with my mom and took her time cleaning all of the scalp residue from my mom's head. My mom has dementia and her hygiene is not good. It even messed up Mariah's schedule, but she stuck with it until she got most of it out. My mom has little patience with most everything. Maria gave me several options for next time and I learned a few of her tricks so I could better help my Mom. TSM Mariah! You're the best! read more

I booked on line for shampoo and style and was quoted a price. I agreed and arrived on time at the salon. Since this is my first time here, I discussed my hair texture with the stylist and she quickly turned and bumped the price by $30.00 because "your hair has a natural soft wave and a little dry from the summer heat." I have a straight hair and all I wanted is a simple style for a meeting. A rip off! Take your chances and get ready to pay over the quote. Shameful. read more
