I moved away for 4 years, but came right back to Color Splash, knowing I would be well taken care of. Timothy ordered hair extensions for my wedding; I was surprised how affordable they were, as I had never done anything like that before. Of course, he did my hair for my wedding- it looked fabulous! Timothy and all the staff are wonderful, caring and committed to excellence. I brought my little one in today for his first haircut at a real salon. I'm honestly very surprised to see such poor reviews on here because I've had a wonderful experience so far! It's a super cozy salon and everyone is so kind. I've seen Tara a few times for color/cut/treatments and I'm so happy with everything she has done! She's absolutely the sweetest and actually makes an attempt to get to know her clients. It's so important to me to have someone who actually cares about making sure their client is happy with the service they receive. My hair is insanely soft and gorgeous and she's given me exactly what I wanted each visit. Completely worth the cost and an excellent experience overall. They do not need to be handling people hair or money!! Heather H. Was on her phone while applying the blonde to my hair, and didn't ever place it the way I had asked. Seriously unprofessional. She's claims to have 30+ experience, but perhaps her older age has hindered her decades long experience... Or she just was never any good at hair styling. She cut my hair after drying it!! What in the world??? She damaged my hair with her haphazard 'experienced' cut and had the audacity to blame it on me!! She's a mental case and crook. This place is far from a salon... Barber shop at best. Partial highlights are $175-- never have I ever paid more!! Except at this sad barber shop-- where they charged me $305 for Heather's poor ass work that I had to get fixed from a REAL salon!! And they confirmed, my hair was not damaged as Heather claimed and blamed on me, it was 100% her shitty cut!! I hope she can afford an good lawyer after stealing from me and verbal assaulting me. I bet if Timothy can cheat his customers like he did me, he's also cheating all of his workers too, who are brand new to the field. Get out while you can!!! read more

I made an appointment with a specific stylist for 4/19 because of the Google reviews & her portfolio. I was charged a deposit of $139. On 4/12, I checked to see if I could get in with her sooner by hitting "reschedule". She didn't have an available spot that would work for me, so I hit "back" to cancel rescheduling. On 4/13, I received a cancellation email with a receipt of the $139 charge with no indication of a refund. I initially thought that this was because I was messing with the appointment online. I called, but they were closed, so I sent an email. I received a call back shortly after. I explained the situation, and even apologized for messing the appointment up. Without giving me time to think (the entire call was 30 seconds long), she moved my appointment to 4/15 (conveniently less than 48 hours later) & said my appointment would be with another stylist without asking me. On 4/14 | get a text from the stylist I originally booked with saying she had left CS, but my appointment is still set for 4/19 at her new location. I called CS 4/14, but they were closed, so I sent an email. I got a call back & asked that my 4/15 appointment be cancelled. It was cancelled and my deposit was not refunded. I feel that CS withheld the truth about the cancellation of my appointment & moved it to less than 48 hrs later in an attempt to keep my deposit. I had sent 2 additional emails, called 3 times during business hours, & I could not get ahold of anyone, so on 4/16, I wrote a 1-star review to get their attention. After 3 days of trying to talk to someone, just 28 minutes after posting my review, the business responded. Their first excuse was the original stylist cancelled the appointment. I'm not sure how that exempts them from refunding a deposit. The second excuse was they could not find me in the system. They provided a screenshot of them looking up the wrong name. The screenshot also shows that customers can be looked up by name (which I gave in my first email), phone number (which the business called twice), & email (which the business was emailing). The owner was argumentative & still has not issued a refund. I chose this salon because of the good Google reviews. My 4/16 review mysteriously disappeared, but there are reviews on here, Yelp, and the BBB about shady credit card charges. Be careful and watch your cards closely if you link them to your account through CS. It is now 4/29 and I have yet to receive a single penny of my deposit back, proving the owner was lying from the start. read more

Hi ladies, Dont use your debit or credit card here, as they will charge you vindictively. I called to speak about mysterious charges of $55 and $193 and the manager Timothy, threatened me and asked me to come up there to "see him". I guess he forgot he's a man, but the anger and violence he has towards women should be enough to warn others to stay away from this place. Timothy, you cant charge me for writing an honest review for your horrible salon. Bad vibes all around with horrible business practices. Unsafe and hostile environment, in addition to subpar hair stylists that have no experience or knowledge in fashionable, modern hair. They steal your money with poor hair styling services that arent rendered and then keep charging your card out of spite. Please, i beg you, do NOT use these services!! read more

Hunter was my hair stylist for my wedding and I cannot recommend her enough! She was so professional, knew exactly what would look best for me and brought my vision to life! My hair lasted all day throughout gusts of wind and threats of summer storms. She also had the great idea to change my hair style when I changed into my getaway dress- this was so fun and a complete surprise for my husband! I am so thankful to have had her as a part of our wedding day!! read more

It's been almost five months since I got my haircut there and I'm still reeling from it. My hair is damaged from being over processed and it's absolutely butchered. There is no style to it whatsoever. It was overly texturized on the right side and has short sections and long sections, nothing blending together at all. The left side of my hair was mostly untouched by scissors, however, and is mostly a uniform length. I didn't realize how god awful this cut was until later, when I washed and tried to style it myself. I'm STILL wearing a ball cap most days to hide my hair. I feel hideous all the time. And after all these terrible services performed on my hair, they charged me over $300. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Honestly, I am so thankful for Cherisse and Timothy! I was a long way from home (Bowie, MD) visiting friends in VA Beach, when I booked a devacut through this salon. (Found the salon on the Devacurl website and a Groupon for a devacut too!) I came to Cherisse with a fried hair-do and came out with so much moisture and a curl pattern! Cherisse got my hair back on track! I love it! Timothy went above and beyond with his hospitality. Sold me products at a discounted price. The fact that he price matches is awesome too! He offered to ship me products as soon as I run out, which I wasn't expecting. Such a nice gesture! I was a long way from home and felt right at ease. (Already thinking of making another trip down there for a refresh and maybe even color! It's worth the drive!) Much appreciated! I am over the moon about the phenomenal service I received here. I was able to get an immediate appointment and was greeted by a very sweet receptionist, Hailey. Then I met my stylist Nancy, who was very excited to meet me and was receptive to my hair goals. I thought my hair would be a challenge for her to highlight but she exceeded my expectations by far. I had a lot of red undertones from dying my roots, but she was able to lift all of it and give me gorgeous blonde highlights. My only regret is that I didn't find this salon and incredibly talented stylist sooner. I was given a gift bag on my way out with a bunch of samples and coupons for future visits. I am beyond happy with my hair services from Cherise. First, I have wavy hair, so it's hard to find a good hairstylist who knows how to cut it because I like to simply towel dry and run. She's a diva curl Hair Stylist so she knew exactly how to cut it. Not only that, but she taught me how to make my hair the most wavy and curly. A week later, I returned to her to fix my at home coloring fiascoes due to Covid, and she did an amazing job with my highlights. I have had both an exceptional facial and eyebrow experience at this salon. The staff is friendly, it's well appointed and it's in a convenient Great Bridge location. The facial room is lovely- it was so relaxing and Teresa is awesome. My skin felt great and she explained everything. Their eyebrow technician, Catie, is Benefit trained and she mapped my brows. Once again, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience here. I had an appointment with Timothy on a Saturday at 11:30am for a cut and color. All I knew was that I wanted my hair to look like the picture I had saved on my phone. He instantly looked at the picture, mixed it in the back, and voila! He put the highlights in my hair, had me under the dryer for a while, then washed my hair. He actually complemented my hair with some scrubs and other lotions that fit with my type of hair. After he cut the layers in it, blew it out and styled it, he turned me around and wow! It was gorgeous! He is definitely talented and let me tell you, I will be having him do my hair from now on! (FYI..Jordan is fabulous as well. She cut my hair sometime last year and she did a wonderful job). Also, I needed to get my eyebrows done and Theresa (the in-house ecstetician) was fabulous. She understood my needs, my questions, and was very personable. I had my eyebrows waxed for $20 and I will be going to her as well. I just had a color and cut appointment with Heather at Color Splash. She was amazing to work with! My hair cut is perfection. I did a graduated bob. Longer in front and angled to stack in back. It looks great and is even. Additionally, I wanted to work in my covid white hair roots that had started to grow in against my dark brown level 4 hair. I now have dimensional silver hair as I requested. I absolutely love it. The hair feels healthy and the color is amazing. The entire salon has a great open feel and everyone is very friendly. I truly appreciated the experience as a whole and will now be a customer going forward. You won't be disappointed!!! read more

Had a great experience here with Chelsea! Have to (ashamedly) admit it has been almost a year since I've gotten my hair cut or colored - I moved here last June and have been wary about stylists ever since, but I knew it was time to bite the bullet because my hair was getting out of control. Chelsea really listened to my concerns about color and had some great ideas for me, and chopped it from almost waist-length to my collar bone. She checked in with me every step of the way, asking if I wanted to go shorter or if the length was good. The salon is bright and open and everyone who works there seems like they get along really well and enjoy working there. The prices are really reasonable and it's very clean. I already have my next appointment scheduled and I'm looking forward to it! read more

Go here if you want over priced service and if you want the owner to call you a b..ch over the phone. This salon is the worst salon I have ever attended. I made a appointment for my daughter first hair color for her birthday present. I was told a price over the phone when I explained this was just one color all over and when it was all over it was $80 over what was discussed. so a $120.00 hair appointment went all the way up to 200.00. But I didn't make a big fuss because my hair was extremely happy with her color. So with her next appointment she made for herself she had to cancel and was charged a 160.00 and took it from her card on file without permission and she was told that they don't need permission so if u go here I wouldn't recommend letting them put your card on file because that is why they want it. The same day after this happened not knowing my mother in law had a appointment fir just a basic color and when this was done she was charged $400.00. Now I don't know abo anyone else but if u we're going to be charged that amount don't you think it should have been previously discussed because normal people don't have that kind of money in the spot. So that leads me to my next problem so when I called to speak with the person in charged for these ridiculously overpriced unprofessional situations the owner started yelling at me over the phone and called me names I could not even say and then hung up on me. This place is so bad it's amazing how it's still in business. read more
