Really would have loved to try this place, but the service isn't there (quite literally). We walked in and were waiting in line to talk to a host. It took 10 mins until a host came and seated the people in front of us, then we were seated. No worries here; however, they were not busy. The host was very rude and felt the need to cop an attitude when we asked if we could sit outside. Off putting to say the least. We decided to sit inside and forget about it. Once seated, we waited at our table inside. The only issue is that we waited, and waited, and waited... Really would've loved to try their food and beer, but the service wasn't there. Nobody even came to say "hey we are short staffed it might be __ minute wait". No communication at all. Disappointing. We waited for 30+ minutes at our table and were not acknowledged. Walked out and still were not acknowledged from any of the staff. Poor management though and through. read more

Welcome to the northside, Daredevil! Longtime fan of the brews I was anticipating the opening of the hall. Visited opening weekend on a late Saturday afternoon/early evening. Dining as a family it was a pleasant surprise to have fast table chairs available for babies. For a restaurant on an opening weekend they sure seemed to have most things figured out. We were seated quickly, although the crowd had not really formed yet. Seated near the large projection TV was nice for the first half of the IU game. They have a portion just for the taproom as well as a designated restaurant area with varying size of table tops and larger communal tables. Ambiance was as expected for a beer hall and the noise level was very manageable - even while we were leaving and the restaurant was much more filled. My only issue was with the timing between the appetizers and main dishes. This seems to happen often at restaurants and if I had to choose between getting my food too quickly or too long, obviously a crowded table of delicious food is much more enjoyable. We started with the burrata and kung pao chicken wings. Both were enjoyed. The giardiniera wasn't overly spicy and the toasted bread went nicely with the quantity of burrata. The chicken wings are quickly climbing the ranking for top wings in the city. Crispy but yet oh so juicy! Can't wait to try their spice level of their hot wings next. With so many classics available choosing what to have is difficult. Definitely will require multiple visits. This time we went with a Guadalajara dog and the fried noodle spaetzle. The dog was flavorful but could use a little more of the pickled chiles given the overly large bun. The dog came with some great fries that were nearly all crispy with a good potato ratio. The spaetzle is an interesting dish as this was new for both of us - looking forward to trying the braised oxtail next. Multiple beer tastings, which also come in flight options, rounds out the evening nicely. Checks are paid at the table with the server's handheld device making it a quick check out process. A great addition to the neighborhood and looking forward to dining here again. read more

Checked this place out for the first time last night with a friend who had heard good things. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away. The bartender was super helpful and gave us great beer and food recommendations. I went with a stout beer while my friend got a couple of different IPAs. We both enjoyed the beer! Food wise, I ordered the Beer Cheese Burger and it was very yummy! The fries were amazing, too. My friend got the wings and had them devoured in minutes, so I assume he was pleased. Haha. I would give this place another visit! read more

We went on Friday night to check out another new Brewhouse. I will prelude with saying that they have only been open for a couple weeks and have a few kinks to work out. But onto the review: the area they are in is a great location. You get all different types of foods and experiences in the complex. It is very swanky. the bar was full so we took a table and got sat right away. Our server, Michelle, was awesome. The only downside was she recommended the Kung pao wings. Then came back five minutes later to tell me that they were out. Probably wasn't her fault, cause the kitchen should 86 it on the PLC. Another fault was the food/beer runner sat beers down without telling us which was which (pet peeve I guess). Also, the beers were not topped off. That means that they gave short pour, or they sat so long that the head had diminished, leaving a less than full beer when it got delivered. ( not Michelle's fault). And for some reason, this huge blank white wall in the dining area was bothering me. The place needs some decor of some sort. I didn't know I cared about decor until there is a huge lack of it. 3/5 for now but I'm Sure they will 5/5 in a few months. read more

Daredevil has the best beer in Indiana. As someone who is a snob about Kolsch in particular - I would venture to say that the Vacation kolsch is the best around. I enjoyed the Indy Dog too, and the currywurst was delicious too. Next time, I'll try the spaetzle. If you're a beer lover in Indy, you cannot overlook Daredevil. read more

We wuuuuuuuv trying new brewery, especially one that has great chicken wings. You know they got it right when they have only 2 options for chicken wings, buffalo hot wings and kung pao chicken wings. I really appreciate their short and simply menu. No fru fru, just all the best. We had a great time and will come back for brunch next time. read more

Solid burgers and beer, attentive service. The only thing keeping it from five stars is the price point. 14.5 bucks for the avocado smash burger and add another 7 for fries and you're paying more here then at provision (same building, better burger). Would be great if the fries came with the burgers, then the value would be there. read more

This was a nice new place that was very family friendly with good food and beer. We brought both kids, one got a hot dog and the other a hamburger. They had nothing left by the end. I had the mussels and fries. The mussels were steamed in beer with shallots, onions, and garlic. It was delicious. Awesome bread to soak up the beer broth. It was nice and loud so we didn't have to worry about the kids making noise. Great selection of German style beer. Will definitely be back. read more

Love this place! House beers are all fresh and very good! They also have great Guest Tap Selections! Food is excellent as well. Menu is on the smaller side, but I like that. They have mastered the dishes they do serve which are all excellent! Love the burgers and grilled chicken! read more

Every single time I've driven by Ironworks I would sneak a peek at the progress of this joint. I have been crazy excited to see them have an outpost on this side of town. So, was it worth the wait? Well, look at all 5 of those stars, blaring red and white. Daredevil's daring new hall boasts all of the DD staples but also brings along a unique menu that crafts meals to die for. I had the burger and it was outta this world. We also started with the cauliflower hummus which was also strong. The service matched the food, it was great. read more

Second time coming here for food. The beer and service were great. Pros: large craft beer selection, good service, plenty of seating, interesting menu, pork green chili. Cons: the menu is weird. They take traditional German dishes and add unusual worldly twists on them that don't seem to work. Sweet pickles and mushroom gravy on a fried tenderloin sandwich? Sounds good enough, but did not wotk. The ghirardelli is more like a tapenade. The cut of steak (tri tip I believe) they use is very tough and not seasoned. The uneven shape of the cut makes it cook unevenly. Not what I would expect for $22. The menu says it comes with greens, but it does not. The fries came out cold, but well seasoned. The brussel sprouts were slightly over cooked, but tasted nice. The Guadalajara dog was a mess and the sausage was half the size of the bun it was served in. I'll be back to drink their awesome beer. Not sure if I'll try their German fare again but the burgers might be good. Bummed that I spent $70 on such an underwhelming meal. read more

I liked this place. The place itself is kinda weird but the food and service was great!

Great Place staff is amazing!! Marissa and Luke were so helpful explaining the beers. Food was delicious this will definitely be a go to place in the future. Locally brewed beers were so delicious. For that home brewed but small town friendly feel this is the place to go. read more

4 thumbs down from us. Service was slow, they decided to clean floors and windows right by where we were seated and the food was HORRIBLE. The hot pretzels came out cold and had no flavor, the wings were soggy and tasted like they came from a bag, and the steak sandwiches were nothing but gristle. Try at your own risk!!! read more

Unfortunately I was disappointed by my visit here. The beers were great as always but the food was a bit bland and the service was painfully slow. I do want to mention I noticed that it looked like the management had chosen to have one one staff member that night to run both bar service and tables so I felt terrible for that young man trying to manage it all by himself. I will go back in the future to give it another chance or to at least get a beer but hope that they are able to up the staff on shifts in the future. read more

First visit, everything reasonably priced if food was average. This, folks, is NOT average food. Tulip of Rip Cord double IPA just perfect. Smooth, no bite. A real pleasure. Simply top-notch! Nova Scotia mussels on the small side but Muse broth choice BEST EVER. (Rich and salty - think Seafood Gumbo Stock - complete with French bread roll for dipping). Used my shells as a spoon to enjoy every drop. Can't wait to try their other two brodo's.. Huge Endive and Pear Salad, crisp and fresh - complimented with nuts and cheese. Perfect.. Spaetzel with fresh mushrooms just spot on. Rich and earthy. What a treat! Crispy burgers are phenomenal. I found out employees get a discount on their wonderful food - I offered to wash dishes. read more

Beer was meh, burger was messy and meh- service was indifferent. Nothing kept me there, we ate and left

The good - excellent beer selection. The service is outstanding. The onion rings were yummy. The ok- not much on decor - concrete floors, lots of tvs. We had the smash burger - I had high hopes, but it was ok. This would be a great place to meet for beers and watch a game. read more

I had been itching to try this place for awhile. Finally got around to it and was mildly disappointed. Everything was good, but I had heard the wings were spectacular, but in my eyes they were just fine. The fried brussel sprouts were waaaayyy over fried. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and enjoyed the impossible burger, but I doubt I end up going back. There was nothing that was so amazing that would compel me to return read more

I really enjoyed taking part in their Wednesday night trivia. We had a blast! I also tried their brewery cheese burger and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and juicy. I will definitely be returning for both that cheeseburger and the trivia. read more

I think I need to give Daredevil Hall another try. I just wasn't impressed. And, I was really looking forward to my visit here! It is always great to see breweries and restaurant popping up in the Keystone/Ironworks area. I just feel like there is room for improvement at this establishment. Firstly, this place lacks any type of art or decoration. Every wall is just white. It just seems uninviting and boring. Just so bare. I don't know why, but I found that off-putting. It is super loud, as well. But, this can be expected as the ceilings are pretty tall and it's an open room. I did enjoy my beer and food here. I felt like the prices for the beer were steep. A 12 ounce pour ranges from 6-7 dollars. I just feel like for a brewery you should at least be offered a 16 ounce for that price. A couple beers plus food could send your bill over 30 bucks for just one person. I ordered the steak sandwich, which was delicious. The side salad is not impressive. I would stick to ordering fries while here. They looked great. The other members of my group enjoyed their meals, as well. I am a big fan of Daredevil beers. So, I will be giving this place another try in the future. read more

Love this place! Finally got to grab a late lunch & it met all our expectations. The bartenders were great & the food fantastic. Oh, and of course, the beer was outstanding. We tried their 'Go for Launch' IPA, very tasty. We'll be back! read more

We had a good time at the Hall the other day. 4$ pint and split a smash burger with the wife. Try the pretzel and cheese. Good stuff!

You ever have a burger speak to your spirit and say hello gorgeous I'm so glad you found me. Well I did and it was at daredevil hall. I have been craving a burger and I needed to go to the mall. I did not want a mall burger so I found myself down the street from keystone at the crossing at daredevil hall. This was by far the best burger I have had in years. The brewery cheese burger was what fantasy's are made of. Like when you want to indulge in something great and truly not the healthiest go here. Try it. I promise you won't regret it and if your alone sit at the bar and talk the the wonderful bartender Hannah. I will be back. read more

Daredevil Hall - Brewery cheeseburger. Fries with ranch. Delicious - Burgers Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

I do like this place. The beers are great and the food has always been good. Unfortunately the service is lacking. We ordered drinks and waited twenty minutes for the server to come back to take our food order. At that point we were in a time crunch for a movie so we just had drinks. The server does not deserve all the blame. She appeared to be managing at least ten tables by herself so that is a management and staffing issue as well. But still, she did walk by our table several times without stopping. While I get that it's hard to find staff sometimes, I was still incredibly disappointed in this visit. read more

Surprisingly good food for essentially a craft beer brewery. Rather than trying to decide on a particular beer, do a flight of four; across the four of us, we sampled all of their beer offerings (favorites: Muse, Bock, Dunkel). The burgers were delicious, yet the fish sandwich took home the honors. And absolutely get the curry aoili dip for the fries! read more

This place is going places. I had the steak sandwich, the Raichbeer and the First Noel; which were all great if you're into red meat and brown ales! I'm looking forward to going back for one of their gormet hot dogs (no, seriously!) The atmosphere is ideal; there is a restaurant area and a tucked away bar. It's not divey, but it's not particularly posh either. The perfect hangout spot for a guy to get a drink...which is something that I think that Keystone is sorely lacking. read more

Oh, Daredevil Hall. We had such high hopes for you. Maybe our hopes were too high. As most have already mentioned the atmosphere and beers are fine maybe even good, but the service we received was bad and the food was worse. We started, and finished, with an appetizer: Hot Pretzel with beer cheese. The pretzel was a cold and the beer cheese was room temperature and no flavor of beer or cheese. It was a flour-y glop of grossness. There are too many good bar food restaurants in Indy to serve something so terrible. read more

Let me begin by saying that I don't often post on the internet, let alone yelp. However, today I was compelled to break that habit, or lack thereof, thanks to Ian, the bartender. Now, let me tell my story. When I order food, I can be picky, I don't like sesame seeds on my buns, all my fries must be double fried, burgers medium-well, beer with half an inch of foam on top - and for this last one I make no exceptions! Ian not only gave me the perfect seedless bun, the crispiest of fries, and medium-wellest of burgers but when I pulled out my six inch ruler, the foam on my IPA was precisely 0.52 inches, which is NOT PERFECT, but good enough :) for me. Thanks Ian. read more

I will start by saying Daredevil is my favorite brewery in the city. We have been to Daredevil Hall 5 times since it has opened. The food for the most part has been good, but has been consistently inconsistent. We were there last night and had the wings. They are identified on the menu as hot and crispy. They were hot, but definitely not crispy. The skin was pretty soggy and left me pulling some of it off. I have ordered the cauliflower hummus the last four times we have been there. Every time it is delicious, but always a little different. Two times there has been no cucumber or radishes, and yesterday there was tomato in the Giardiniera. The hummus yesterday also had a large amount of olive oil poured over the top. I ordered the Midwest Fish Fry and was fairly disappointed. The fries were good, but the batter on the fish was soggy and the flavor was fairly bland. It was close to the most expensive thing on the menu if not the most, and I would definitely never order it again. We are hopeful the restaurant is just getting into the swing of things and will eventually be as good as the brewery. Service has also been great, and we will continue going as the positives outweigh the negatives. The chicken wings, if crispy, are delicious! read more

Second time at Daredevil Hall and still just as great. Ian was our server and was very friendly when greeting us at the bar. He took care of us while we tasted a flight and had the hummus appetizer. It was more spicy than I had expected and we ordered an extra pretzel for $1 to finish it. :) Excited for my third and more visits...great location and great beer. read more

Spotted this place while staying at the hotel next door. Went there with my family of 8 and was seated outside by Camilla almost immediately. I asked her for a recommendation for beer and she gave me a couple I picked one of their house stouts and she brought me that and a sample of her favorite Belgian white. Both were a hit for me. The dinner and service were fantastic. Highlights were pork rinds. Bread sticks w/beer cheese and Buffalo chicken sandwich w/ blue cheese. My wife loved our server Camilla. Crispy Brussel sprouts for my mother in law and another vote for Camilla. "Above and beyond." I agree. Next time we are in town we are coming back for sure. read more

easy dinner while staying at hotel nearby. order online and easy pickup. will do again

If this post was all about beer they would get 5 stars! The food was really great for the most part. The only thing I would change up are the buns for their excellent hotdogs. This is just my preference, but a brioche or pretzel bun would be better than the plain buns they use now. This is a seriously MINOR suggestion as my overall experience was great! Service was excellent too. read more

This want-to-be brew hall has some work to do. They are new, but they clearly haven't mastered their customer service. We have attempted this location several times, and we have consistently left after the 1st drink every time. Staff despite not being ultra busy is not an attentive group. We have gone well over 10 minutes while seated at the bar before receiving a beer. This has happened multiple times. When seated at tables, the service isn't much faster (our groups have only ever ordered draft beer and our party sizes have always been 6 or less). From our experiences, wait staff seems to be great at making excuses, and less about improvement. Their beer offerings are pretty good. So if they could button up their service, this place has the potential to take off. read more

I will be going back to Daredevil. If I could give 4.5 stars I would. There were a couple negative aspects of my visit but majority were positive. The chicken wings, fries, cauliflower hummus, cheeseburger were all delicious. The curry dipping sauces were great. The beer cheese was lacking flavor but the pretzel itself was good. The beer was tasty. The atmosphere could use some improvement but overall I didn't think it was too noisy and the service was great. read more

Beer is subpar. The food is not good. The chicken sandwich I got was slightly worse then something I'd get from Culver's or Wendy's. My wife's burger was not good either. She ate half of it and had enough. This place needs a ton of work. Would not recommend at all. read more

The food was good(burger was a bit dry) even if the bartender commented "going all in eh?" Since I ordered a burger and loaded fries... the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired- it's cold and loud. Beer was good and bartender was knowledgeable, but not forthcoming- after I ordered I asked what was on the loaded fries (obviously I didn't care that much) and he said there were two choices! None of which he asked or were on the menu. Definite room for improvement, but would order again. read more
