Located at the end of a dusty, old shopping strip, this kitchen is putting out delicacies that will keep your palate happy. The food is fresh, vibrant, and deeply flavorful, prepared with a level of care that shows in every dish. Their kabobs will rock your face: my friends said they were juicy, tender, and marinated with a spicy authenticity that set them apart from so many others we've tried. I had the Qulabi Pulao, a rice dish made with raisins and carrots. See the picture I posted. Underneath that mound is a mouth-watering lamb-shank. Truly an impressive culinary treat. Whoever they've got in the kitchen, she or he really knows what they're doing. The staff here deserves some serious praise. Friendly, warm, and attentive, one man took care of our entire lunch group. He made sure we were welcome from the moment we walked in. He handled our questions with ease, making some enthusiastic and well-informed recommendations for us. We went for lunch, and found the place quiet, clean, and brightly lit. But it seems clear International Kabob House is set up for a slightly different experience when the sun sets. I imagine the atmosphere changes after dark, when you can relax under some dim, moody lighting and enjoy a hookah after your meal. Next time I go, I want to try the tea. It smelled seductively of saffron. Without a doubt, this is one of the top halal dining spots in Georgia. It's a place where you can savor spectacular food and then sit back and enjoy a leisurely hookah session, all in one welcoming setting. Highly recommended for both its cuisine and its atmosphere. Don't miss this gem. I can't wait for my next visit. Holler if you're coming with.

We ordered an appetizer to share and it was really tasty and flavorful. The server was very kind and answered our questions. I ordered a beef kabob and I was surprised because the portion is very generous, I was able to eat just half of it (and lucky to take home the other half). I enjoyed the meet flavor but I found it just a little bit on the salty side. I also got an Afghani tea which tastes really good. Ambience is relaxed and the restaurant is big, there's plenty of room for large groups. Give it a try if you like Kabobs and if you're in this area of town.

My husband asked the waiter which samosas he preferred since we couldn't decide. The beef samosas were good and quite filling. Two come with an order and they are large. The rice was wonderful. We also ordered the spicy mix kebabs , the milky dessert with tea, and mangu. The food was delicious, no complaints there at all. We loved the kebabs, the afghan rice, the bread, and the goat. We ended up ordering more rice because for us the portion was small since we were sharing. The service was slow and they were out of a few popular menu items. It wasn't packed but there were a couple of big tables already seated when we walked in. We never got the mangu and I had to find ways to distract myself since the food took a while to come. However, the servers were kind and apologized many times for the slowness. They even comped the extra rice for us. The ambiance was family friendly but I could see the place being a spot for adults to hang in the evening because there was open space. I think it would be a perfect venue for a small event. Definitely worth a try.

Kabuli pillow (possibly wrong spelling) was the highlight, and best in town. In fact, it was so well prepared that we came back specifically from it. They claim to be the first and best afghani restaurant in town - and honestly this checks out. They have great starters/sharables too, best for me is always the betinjan (eggplant). I like the Mantu as well, but tbh, had much better mantu elsewhere. The highlight is the pillow. Just go there! Ambiance wise - very family friendly. Simple and quite interior, nothing fancy, great for families or parties who don't want much noise and just want to eat and enjoy a conversation. Great service as always.

The prices seemed fairly reasonable. Customer service was friendly and attentive. I opted to order the chicken kebab plate, and it was quite tasty. The portions were a bit smaller than expected, and the rice was slightly bland on flavor, but I enjoyed the chicken kebab and the garlic yogurt sauce. The cucumber salad was refreshing, and was a nice addition. The green chutney sauce was alright, but a little watery in texture. We had to eat quickly due to scheduling constraints, but they were quick with providing takeout boxes, and sauce cups to take home with our leftovers. Overall, a solid place to get some great Afghan food.

Be warned: Mughal doesn't offer a "mild" option. It just doesn't exist. Not every dish is fiery, but the flavors are bold and unapologetic and definitely not for the faint of heart. This is a "no frills" dining establishment. There is no fancy decor. There are no crowd-pleasing, Americanized dishes. Get your own water. Besides the people behind the counter, there is no full-service wait-staff. Their energy is spent on the food. And when we were there, brown people were certainly there en force, chowing down. I think the cooks are Pakistani. I may be wrong about that. Certainly they are Muslim, and their cooking leans decidedly in that direction. If you want to skip the rich gravies, go for the "mixed grill," a tandoori platter piled high with perfectly seasoned meats. Naan arrives hot, huge, and fluffy, while the basmati rice is consistently cooked to perfection.
