Looks a little sketchy from outside and surrounding area, but don't worry it's a good place! Discovered this place via yelp, searching for a dinner location anout halfway between Decatur and Lawrenceville, as we were meeting friends and neither of us wanted to travel too far. Seeking economical choice with good food & drinks. Mission accomplished here! Wasn't our first choice. Dining on a Monday is hard, as so many restaurants are closed. But it turned out to be an excellent choice, as we loved our apps, drinks and meals. Had a nice size table with plenty of room in the quieter dining area in the back, away from the bar and TVs. There are TVs in back area as well, just not as many. Started with the nachos with beef chili, and the blackened brussel sprouts. Both were delicious and gone quickly! I had the cheeseburger salad. After all this deep fried, heavy southern food and grits, wanted something a little lighter. The portion was huge, and it was delicious. Onion rings were delicious. Huge plate for a side dish. Others had various wraps, and everyone loved their meals. Good tap beer selection. We had a variety of cold ones. If you're in the area looking for a good local, affordable place to have a meal or drinks, pick this spot. Its family friendly as well.

Of particular note is how she "saved" my lovely wife. Sharon had ordered the grouper sandwich on a gluten free bun with a side of Brussels sprouts. Mandy clearly understood cross contamination and my wife was extremely appreciative. YAY FOR Mandy!!! See y'all again soon!

Incredible across the board. I'm not even a big fish guy, but I got the fish and chips and loved it. That alone says a lot. Spinach dip loved it. Fish tacos loved them. Dessert loved it. Beer loved it. There's a ton of variety on the menu, and everything we tried delivered. That kind of consistency is rare. Service was over-the-top good. Attentive, friendly, and added to the whole experience. Price felt exactly right for a date night spot not cheap, but definitely worth it for the quality. Couldn't be happier with this one. I'll absolutely be back. Overall: Easy 5/5 no hesitation.

The chili is super hot with jalapeños a little bit too hot for me and they actually changed it out for a fabulous Caesar salad. The customer service here is outstanding. The owner has been by to chat with us twice since we've been in our waiters and waitresses are just above and beyond I cannot say enough good things oh and by the way, they have 47 TVs for sports. We quickly found a spot up front and entered. Nobody was at the host podium for a minute and then someone came around and greeted us warmly. We let him know we would like a table for three outside. He said that would not be a problem, handed us menus and said head outside to pick our table. After a few minutes our very friendly server, Patricia, came out to greet us. We quickly reviewed the beverages.. I was happy to see they had an extensive beer selection. I ordered a Creature Comfort Bigger Dreams, Wifey ordered a Mango Cart and my daughter ordered a Kingston Peach frozen drink. The drinks came out quickly and then we were pretty much ready to order our food. Wifey ordered Barbecue Nachos with turkey. I ordered 10 wings, all drums, with a mixture of 2 flavors: the Peach BBQ and Pineapple Chipotle. I picked Tatter Tots as my side. My daughter ordered the Sweet Heat Salmon bowl. She said they had her at "Coconut Rice" in the dish description. We sat outside and I noticed there were TVs everywhere. Perfect set up for a warm afternoon. Before we knew it, the food was coming out. I loved my wings and was happy with the flavors I chose. Wifey commented her nachos could've been a little warmer, but she really enjoyed them. I tasted a corner and agreed they were very good. My daughter could not stop raving about her Salmon Bowl. The coconut rice lived up to her expectations and brought everything together. We were finishing up our food and were ready to close out the bill. The problem was our server was nowhere to be found. We waited and waited, I eventually had to wave down another server to find her and let her know we were ready for the bill. We still waited and waited and then I had to go inside and wave her down myself to let her know we wanted a couple togo boxes and the check. This place was a solid 4 to 4.5 before all the trouble chasing down our server. Even though service fell off at the end of our visit, Patricia was nice when she was around and my daughter was still raving about that bowl hours later. She ate the whole thing. She thought she was gonna have enough to pack it up, but while waiting for our server she kept picking at it and next thing we knew it was all gone. Overall a mixed bag but more good than bad and I would return when in the area. 3.5 Rating

My girl and I were always curious but never had the nerve to just go for it. Mostly, we just made fun of the name. I finally made the venture over just the other day. The guy working was extremely friendly, that is much appreciated! He went over the menu which is very elaborate (for a trailer kitchen, mind you). BBQ, burgers, wings, and everything fried. I went for the wings the first time out. They have around 12 flavors, including some odd ones like Cherryachi. The wings were medium sized, had good flavor and were cooked just right. Wait was only 6 minutes for fresh (well ones that were not siting under a heat lamp) and were ready to go! Not sure what we will try next time...only downside was I saw the previous health department score and they failed (after a re-do they passed). Keep that kitchen clean! Ah, it's all fried anyway...

Long had I seen the (admittedly, somewhat decrepit-looking) wing truck in the (beloved) Thriftown parking lot. For a while it wasn't operational, and I felt no great loss. After all, there is a KFC/Taco Bell right up the street for all my fried poultry and/or faux-taco needs. Lately when we drive to the store, though, the smell of the newly-reopened Wing Ding Doodle calls to me. It's basically like the Siren of Clarkston, ok? It wants my money, and I want what it has. We're all adults, people. But I have been kind of afraid. I know, I know, I'm afraid of everything. So far I'm alive so it's working out okay, I think. Today the boyfriend wanted a banh-mi, but I wanted something more...fried. Because I may or may not have drunk too many things last night. What? Leave me alone. While he was at Pho Truc, I asked him to visit a different truck. One that smells like grease and all things delicious. I just wanted some chicken fings with honey mustard and maybe some fries. I didn't ASK for the fries, but I hoped they would show up. And they did, and they were salty, and it was Lawry's. The fingers were actually, surprisingly good. I would have been happy with some previously-frozen kids' meal krap, but these tenders were way better than that. They were crispy on the outside, though not crunchy. Kind of from the Chick-fil-A school of strips. The honey mustard was damn fine. Everything was salty and I'm not complaining. I kind of wish I had stayed scared of The Doodle, because now I'm even more scared of how often I might be visiting it.

It's a walk up window spot with the menu and a bell, when you're ready to order, ring the bell. The service is friendly and succinct. Non invasive and just helpful without asking when needed. The seating area is a mix between covered and uncovered, with a small speaker playing contemporary tunes at a respectable level. There are string lights above, and I can only imagine how beautiful this all looks at night. I'd read a LOT about their fish sandwich. That it is a good size helping. That it has a great light fresh vinegar sauce with thinly sliced carrots and other crunchy veg. The fish tasted fresh fried. And I have to say, this is the Best fish sandwich I have ever tasted. I only am upset I hadn't come much sooner. I will have to return, probably on a monthly basis for that fish sandwich. There are enough pictures out there of the sandwich. But I also had the Thai basil lemonade and it was a nice pairing. Not a waste of time, effort or dough. Just go.

We bring friends here, and one friend in particular is so obsessed that he was dreaming of their food when he was on a film shoot out of state, and could not wait to get back. You order at the window, and can take it away or eat outside. The place feels like a party when the weather is good. I don't think it is possible to order badly: the owners keep the menu tight, and everything is SO FRESH. When they run out, that's it. (The curried carrot soup will go fast, I've found.) My husband usually gets the vietnamese fried fish sandwich which is delectable with lots of flavor and texture. We rarely eat meat, but I have made an exception to try the Moroccan lamb burger which was worth it. I usually spring for the upgrade to get crispy smashed potatoes instead of chips. And it's worth noting that the drinks are also well above average: I've enjoyed the indulgence of a Bravassi hard Italian soda with my meal on a lazy afternoon, after shopping at the Second Life thrift store. Their drinks are very good, and they serve them up straightaway to savor while you wait for your order to come up. I have not yet ordered a salad but they have an array of excellent / choices, and I know they will not disappoint. I also want to note that although there is not waiter service (which makes it an ideal spot to meet friends) the staff is friendly, and well above average. It's such a great vibe, and a real bonus of living in the area. They also serve breakfast, and I feel confident in their level of quality in recommending them as a stop for anyone.
