The coffee was so rich and satisfying, BUT THE BAGEL. Omg, the quality of that bagel was beyond description. Freshly made, the egg was a fresh cracked one and the bacon done perfect and savory. The veg cream cheese that is used tasted just made as well. the gentleman making it was so sweet and the lady who took my order was wonderful. First - it is super cute. With a mix of community tables, counter seating, and even one very cozy looking chair (I say looking because it was occupied and I was unable to plunk myself down and enjoy my book - which it was beckoning me to do). They have an extensive coffee menu and use their own roasted beans. I went with a standard coffee but did upgrade to maple syrup for my sweetener. (Anyone who knows me knows this alone won me over!) And, if you eat in - your coffee comes in a beautiful real mug! They have decent bakery case which is stocked with pastries from Two Fat Cats and bagels from Rose Foods! That's right - you can get a Rose Food bagel without the hassle of parking on Forest Ave in Portland. I got the Mystery Spice (old bay seasoning) and enjoyed half with Olive Cream Cheese and the other with Herbed. Clearly they make the cream cheeses here in house and they are delicious. The place seems pretty popular as there were many people here on a Thursday morning. Already planning a trip back here with a friend for a little remote work day!

Made us feel very welcome because of their kindness. They offer all the drinks you'd expect both hot and iced and lots of flavors available to add. Then also they had some seasonal Valentine's Day specials available as well. My wife got an iced mocha and I got an iced latte with toasted marshmallow flavor added. Both were well made drinks that we enjoyed. They did not blow us away but would be no complaints if we got them again. The whole interaction, from rolling up to rolling away with our goodies, took about 7 minutes. They had gluten-free bagel options which was a wonderful surprise, but they also were out of quite a few things - many types of bagels (both gluten-free & regular) & flavors of cream cheese. My bagel was about as good as any gluten-free bagel can get. I took a big whiff of my BFF's regular asiago bagel & it smelled fantastic. The iced lattes were a big hit & got us through the next 4+ hours of sitting in holiday weekend traffic. I would definitely come back if I was in the area again & I recommend this spot for anyone who is passing by on a road trip or becoming increasingly cranky without caffeine.

I am happy to report that it has not!! They have a wide selection of sweets - from cookies to bars to cupcakes to croissants. I have tried many things over the years, but there is one item in particular that I come back for time and again. The coconut filled cupcake!! It's just perfection - a very forward coconut flavor with a very generous amount of frosting topped with shredded coconut. I make a trek here every year around my birthday because this is the cake that I want to celebrate with! I always find the service kind, welcoming and helpful. At times it can be very busy here (holidays are nuts) - but they do a good job managing the lines and order.
