Been using ruff life for about 5 months with my mini Aussie Cooper. A new girl had been sent to me for my latest appointment to which she had obviously not been trained on Australian Shepard coats. I requested the usual, light and fluffy, and cooper was shaved with a razor, aside from not looking good this is a big no no with Australian Shepard coats, something a professional groomer you would expect to know at this price point. The most disappointing part here is that Ruff Life declined a request for a refund or a free next cut, it's not about the money more about how you treat your customers. Sorry Ruff Life, you lost a customer here and I will be steering many clear of you. read more

Recently used the ruff life for cat grooming services. I can't recommend them enough. The communication was excellent from the moment I made the appointment all through to the end. They arrived early and gave my cat the best spa day ever. He's a real long haired boy who was suffering from some bad matting on his underside and overgrown hair on his paws causing him to slip and lose traction when running around the house. He's also a very anxious cat so I was really blown away by how little the grooming experience freaked him out. After some snacks and a nice cat nap, I've literally never seen him happier. He moves around better with his cute little lion haircut. He's become more playful and affectionate. When I woke up today, the giant pile of cat toys which often goes untouched was scattered all throughout the house. I'm so happy that they made my baby so happy. Emily did the grooming and she was punctual, kind, and efficient. The grooming took hardly any time at all. I didn't catch the second groomer's name but they were great too. I've already recommended the ruff life to all of my friends and they've definitely earned me as a customer for life. read more

It's been quite a challenge in the last couple of years finding reliable dog grooming services. I tried The Ruff Life for my 11 year old chocolate lab since my neighbor uses them for her two dogs (one of which is a husky). Despite the fact that my dog is 11, as a lab she's still very fidgety and can't sit still as her brain is going a million miles an hour at all times. But Lauren (our groomer) handled her well. I like the fact that it's a mobile service right at your doorstep and everything that I needed done was handled in less than an hour. This saves me tons of time driving my dog to and from a brick and mortar shop. Not to mention that the dog is usually at a shop for at least 4 hours if not longer. Had my puppy cut six weeks ago. Groomer was over an hour late to start, then suggested not to cut but to just bath and fluff up the dog because she was only 10 weeks old. When she brought him back to my door I asked her to shave down his paws a bit more. She came back 1 minute later and his paws were the same. He doesn't look clean his ears were still dirty and after further inspection he had razor burn all over his belly, the bottom of his paws were red and inflamed and he had a scab on his butt which per the vet said she must have cut and then put powder on it to stop the bleeding. I contacted said company and the owner Chris never called me back but had his secretary Deanna call me back to say they would send someone back to fix him. Ok great come back and fix the choppy uneven cut they did but how are they going to fix the razor burns and scans on him? Thanks but no thanks. I asked for a refund and was told no. Awful experience and absolutely lost a customer. We requested to have the groomer we have had in the past and instead we had someone new. She asked us if we wanted the same as last time we said yes, just a trim because his hair is short. When our mini golden doodle came back in the house we were shocked. He was basically scalped, parts of his skin were showing. Two days later he has this long string and mat hanging from his ear. Needless to say we called to complain and the owner refuses to call us back. For how expensive the cuts are, especially for a 18 pound short haired golden doodle, you should have the decency to call your customers back when an issue arises. Will never use this service again. I can't say enough amazing things about Kim F! I met Kim as just a friend of a friend a few years back and I reached out for her to start grooming the babies! She was so patient with my Boston Terrier who was blind and had dementia at the time, she definitely made him feel comfortable and loved and always put the cutest bandanas on and I truly think she made him comfortable in his last months. Now, she grooms my Frenchie Boston mix and they have the best time together! She gives him the cutest facials and baths! She takes her time to really make sure my boy is clean and smelling amazing!
