I wish I read some of these reviews first but unfortunately I didn't check yelp. I am now taking my dog to the vet as a result of this awful experience! My Goldendoodle was shaved so close to the skin that his skin has redness and razor burns all over his groin and butt area and little scabs all over his body. My poor puppy has been skiddish and uncomfortable for the past 4 days...licking and scratching his wounds. This is not the work of an experienced humane groomer. If you love your dog, don't use this groomer. When I first picked him up from this place, I was a bit shocked to see how short his hair was cut. But was even more appalled when I got home to see how sore my dog was. Also, another weird thing was that my dog's one eye had his eyelashes cut and the other was not. Why would he cut his eyelashes? And now the eye with short eyelashes has "eye goo" all the time! We have eyelashes for a reason!! I have been bringing Maci-Boy, who is a Havanese, to Michael at Puppy Cutz since he was 4 months old. Maci is now 3 1/2. Michael is wonderful, caring, personable, attentive and treats Maci-Boy as if he were his very own. Whenever I need an appointment, I am never turned down even though I know they are busy. Michael cherishes each pet that comes to him and as a pet owner himself, knows the importance of the feelings of security that pet owners need when they leave their pets. I am never worried when I drop Maci off. And I receive a text as soon as he is finished. Maci runs to the door to go in and gives Michael much love and kisses and that's a sure sign of the excellent care that he is getting while there. My little guy always looks and smells wonderful when I pick him up. Michael even recommends types of seasonal cuts which I always follow. The pricing is just right as well. Been taking my best friend Cody here since he was a puppy. Hes now 8 and i cant say enough good things about the service he provides for my dog. Cody is a black lab that loves to play in the yard n roll around in the grass and do what active dogs do but lemme tell you Cody smells and looks amazingly clean for weeks!! And the price is so cheap i feel like im takin advantage of the place its thats good. See for yourself you wont be disappointed. Besides all the business part of it i can honestly say the bond Cody and Mike (the groomer) shows hes not just a dog groomer you can tell he has a special place in his heart for all dogs. So whether your droppin your besr friend off for a great cleaning and hanging around for a few good storys from his pro days in baseball you and your dog will get your moneys worth. I have what you would call two difficult dogs Gizmo and Peanut. Peanut was a sweetheart (in his older age he has been getting a little nastier) but Gizmo has been turned down by more then 1 groomer. I was sure he would have to be muzzled when I called around and the owner Michael, told me bring them in. When he was finished grooming them I found out that he just might have that magic touch. Besides the fact that Gizmo didn't need to be muzzled this was the best haircut they both have ever gotten. They smelled amazing and there hair was perfect. I now bring my dogs there every 6ish weeks. Michael the owner is great, he treats every dog like they are his own. I met Mike and his adorable and perfectly groomed white/silver haired Mini-Schnauzer Jackson at the Eisenhower dog run. Their bond was as special as the bond I have with my gorgeous, loving, social butterfly Mini-Schnauzer Harlow. I was very unhappy with the groomer I had been using. They had no idea how to groom a Schnauzer despite their claims that they did. I decided to give Mike and Puppy Cutz a try and I have been going to him with ever since...I think it's been about 5 years now. I have since adopted another dog, Max. He was difficult, at first, but Mike really turned him around. Now when I sing to Harlow and Max "it's haircut day, haircut day!" their ears perk up with excitement and they head for the door ready to spend the morning with Mike. read more

I have been bringing both my dogs here for a little over a year now . I love the way my dogs smell and look after returning from the groomer . My one dog is a shiba inu mix and sometimes is difficult in the bath and to be groomed however Michael never seems to have a problem with her and she is very content when I pick her up from there . I live local and they are always very accommodating with appointments. This makes it so much easier to bring my doggies to him instead of another groomer who is further away and is nearly impossible to get an appointment. The prices are more than fare. I have been taking my dogs, a lab and a shih tzu, to Puppy Cutz for four years. Mike loves dogs and always treats them with respect. He takes the time to get to know each dog that comes in. He does a terrific job grooming them and always asks how I want my shih tzu cut. One time, I brought my son's dog in to be groomed as well. He wished he lived closer as he has never found anyone who had done as good a job with his dog's grooming. I get a text when the dogs are done and I am able to pick them up within a shot period of time. Other groomers I have been to have kept the dogs all day. I highly recommend Puppy Cutz. read more

Wonderful caring owner Mike, he does beautiful grooming, provides personnel care & treats your pet as his own. I've been a customer for last 5 years. I have been bringing my shih tzu/pug and golden retriever to Michael since he opened. My golden is very challenging and Michael handles him with ease. michael is wonderful! i have a rescue chihuahua/papillon mix who is very timid and skittish, especially around men, but michael never seems to have a problem with him. he's very responsive and accommodating when it comes to appointments and my pup always comes home smelling great and looking extra cute. the service is great and you can tell he cares, which is all i want to know when it comes to leaving my little guy. definitely recommend puppy cutz. read more

I have a very big dog (it's an albino Great Dane) ... and I been to couple of places ( even in queens ) ... just wasn't happy with other groomers job ... and Mike is the only person that actually took my dog and did the job ... My two dogs are rescued senior dogs with horrible pasts. Michael is very gentle and kind with them, making me feel comfortable leaving them with him. They also like him and are comfortable with him.
