Absolutely phenomenal service! Came in to get some pretty large alterations to my suit (I ordered the wrong size online!!). The couple that helped me was extremely understanding and friendly, and they took care of me right away with zero wait. I don't usually write reviews, but there's one situation that specifically made me want to write one. I was stressing out a lot because I realized I needed my suit earlier than I had originally asked. I was worried it wouldn't be possible to get the tailored suit any earlier. But the owners were so understanding! They looked further into my situation and were actually able to get the suit to me THE SAME DAY!! Now THAT is service!! I don't get alterations often, but I felt like the price was pretty fair. I paid $126.85 altogether with taxes: this included pretty major alterations to my two piece suit PLUS full pressing and dry cleaning. They did all of that in less than a week for me, which I felt was super fast!! While the price is good, I'm really writing this review for the service. The couple who run this place are just so kind and friendly. They have absolutely earned my stamp of approval; I'm not sure when I'll need dry cleaning and tailoring services again, but I am sure of who I'll be going to for help! I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should know about my experience. I dropped off a pair of shorts to be hemmed and my wife's blouse. I was told they would call me with a quote before doing the work, but they never did. Instead, I received a text saying my items were ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was shocked to find they charged $20 to hem a single pair of shorts--shorts that only cost me about $25 to buy. I would never have approved that price had they called me as promised. They also charged $7 just to cut my wife's blouse, even though I had asked about having it properly hemmed. I asked them to keep the blouse and hem it correctly. When I returned, they wanted to charge me another $22 to hem it. I asked them to apply the $6 credit that the husband had already agreed to after acknowledging my concerns, but the wife argued with me and refused. The most frustrating part wasn't just the prices--it was the lack of communication. If they had called me with the quote as promised, I would have declined the work before it was done. In my opinion, the pricing is excessive, the communication was poor, and the customer service left a lot to be desired. I would highly recommend kay for alterations and everything else. We first found dappers when I needed my prom dress hemmed last year. So we went to get this big red sequence dress altered on the bottom for being to long on myself, I tried it on and she instantly started to put where it should come to. We waited a week for it to be done as it wasn't needed asap. We got charged a very reasonable price around 80$ for how much she needed to get rid of. It turned out perfect for prom. She also has done another 2 of my dresses, one just now for homecoming and another just for me to wear around. If you're looking for a new place to have alterations go here! Kay has been doing this for a long time and wants her customers to be very happy for what they're wearing. !For new comers! If you read the 1 stars they're mainly from the newcomers as well, she doesn't give the price until the labor is done and you pick it up on your set time. All her prices are set to make it reasonable for labor and how much to take off and stuff. She's a wonderful seamstress and would love to help anyone. read more

She charged me $140 for a dress I purchased for $200. No beading or anything on the dress. And she only brought in the sides. DO NOT go to Dapper for alterations unless you want to get ripped off. They charged me over $200 to alter 2 dresses. I could have purchased both dresses 3 times over for what they were charging for alterations. $80 to take in the sides $25 for a new zipper $15 per strap to tighten them. $20 for a hem. and then she was charging me to press them when I did not ask for them to be pressed. In addition, she made the dress too small and now my daughter has to find another dress to wear to homecoming because we can't make it bigger. I am so disappointed with the service and the cost. Do not I repeat do not trust them. I asked how much it would cost before the service was done and they said oh don't worry it won't be that much be we can't tell until the work is done. read more

ZERO STARS!! The first time in the store for alterations and cleaning, a man was in front of me and showed Kay his pants that were SIX INCHES too short. I should have walked out!!! Over the next few months I kept saying "It's gonna get better." It didn't. My clothes weren't at the store when promised, but after another week! A fav pair of pants came back with three creases on one leg and two on the other. The next Saturday I had to drop them off for the third Saturday in a row. Exhausting!! Clothes came back with strange stains. Back they went. One pair of new expensive pants were cut off and hemmed much too short!! Kay said "It was the style." I wanted to say "No ma'am, it was your MISTAKE!" They were also stained! When my blouses were altered, they only needed taking up from the underarm to the waste - one long stitch taking two minutes to complete. She charged me $15 per blouse!! She's unbelievably TOO EXPENSIVE! She doesn't use pens to pen the garments where they should be altered. SHE DOES NOT DO THE ALTERATIONS!!! The "girls" do the alterations offsite! She doesn't tell customers that!!! I went to her store every Saturday for 13 weeks. It was maddening that people think the place is so great! The last straw was when the girls who did the alterations absolutely ruined an expensive blouse my mother bought for me!! I took it back, laid it out on the counter and showed the other lady. She began to pull the thread! I said "STOP!!" She promised it would be redone properly. I should've known not to believe her. I went back in a week, picked it up and went home. I took the garment out and IT WASN'T EVEN TOUCHED!! I called to tell the other woman I wanted a refund for them ruining three blouses and one pair of pants. She said No. She asked I come in but not on a Saturday. I wonder why??? I never went back! Kay owes me for my ruined clothes!! The place disgusts me!! I trusted in the positive comments and feedback to make my choice of leaving my button up shirts here to be laundered and pressed. This place is excellent. This is my 5th time using them before making this review and all 5 times my shirts are crisp and clean. They do an amazing job. I also love how this is a small family ran business. Good morning! Where can I begin with my praises! I needed an emergency alteration on my dress..mind you I needed it the very next day. I called 17 cleaners and all told me they could not accommodate me as I needed my dress back the next day in order to catch my flight. So I saw the number and I called Dapper cleaners at 6:36 p.m. (they close at 7pm) and explained to her my dilemma, she advised me to come in. I got there in five minutes. Finally!! A drycleaner and alteration place with RELIABLY GOOD QUALITY! Decent prices. The place is run by people that really know what they are doing. I ask a lot of questions, and they had answers for each one. Cleaning quality seems solid. The lady who measured me even got my alterations perfect! I had ONE simple request with shirts that were taken there. The very FIRST day when I walked in the door I requested that my collars be pressed down evenly. THAT'S IT! I sent the shirts back TWICE (three attempts) and they still couldn't seem to do the simplest thing. Then they had the audacity to charge they regular FULL price for a job that was still not done right. I don't take my clothes to the cleaners to have to go home and iron them after they are picked up. I take them so that I don't have to. NEVER AGAIN! And NO...they are not recommended. read more

My husband recommended this place to me after he got a pair of pants altered there in less than 24 hours. I took a bridesmaid dress there that came in about 2 sizes too small with some extra fabric that the dress company sent me for alterations. I needed it to be altered in less than a week as the extra fabric from this awful dress company came in very last minute. The lady who does the alterations there measured me quickly, and said she would have it done by the next day. She also gave me her personal cell number just in case anything went wrong.
