Highly recommend Dansar group and working with Arielle (no one asked me to write this review, she was just THAT good). I've been looking for apartments on my own through Streeteasy, Sotheby's, & Corcoran, but kept getting shown pricey, small units by agents that heavily pressured me into applying to everything I was shown. This varied from Chelsea, Hudson Yards, and UWS. But Arielle took her time showing me the unit I requested in addition to other available units in the area in my price range, just letting me browse without pressure. She helped me find my dream studio apartment in a pre-war building on the UWS for a great price that was within my budget. I was shown the unit on Saturday and leased the apartment on Monday. The application process was competitive, but she assured me that she'd work with the office to keep my application at the front of the line (and she did). She answered all my questions and even helped me take measurements of the unit before I moved in! Dansar group is a great boutique brokerage firm that really cares about their potential future tenants. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

My boyfriend and I set aside a day to look for apartments in Manhattan. We emailed a bunch of different listings that we found off StreetEasy, Hot Pads etc. and one of them was an open house listing that Jody was hosting that afternoon. She told us to come by from 5:30-6:30pm to view the place. We walked in and Jody was very welcoming and helped answer our questions. After we left, we looked at a few other places that night. Around 9pm I emailed Jody thinking that the apartment was probably taken already since it was such a good find. I was also thinking she wouldn't respond since it was so late. Jody responded that night and told us to fill out an application the next day. We filled it out, gathered our paperwork (which took hours) and Jody was super patient with us while we got everything ready. We sent in the paperwork, Jody responded a few hours later congratulating us that we were approved! She made arrangements with us to sign the lease the next day, and then also helped us coordinate a time with our landlord to get the keys. She made the stress of finding a place MUCH less stressful. Giving 5 stars after working with Moni. I had a few brokers show me a few places, but overall was not satisfied with their level of service (rushy, and didn't seem genuine) On a Friday evening, Moni showed me a gorgeous studio on the UWS that was exactly what I was looking for. After having a look, we went right to the office to submit the paperwork I had available. I needed another business day to gather the rest, and throughout this time, I felt comfortable that Moni was communicating with the landlord and letting them know I was serious to make sure that I was at the front of the line (as much as he could). Moni was extremely responsive, attentive, and reassuring throughout the (very stressful!) process of finding an apartment in NYC. We had initially found a listing on streeteasy where we met him, loved the unit but it wasn't exactly what we wanted - so we asked him to let us know if anything else came up. Not even a week later Moni emailed us with a brand new listing that was exactly what we wanted and he ensured we were the first to see it and get our application in. I'm moving from Chicago to NYC for a new job and had a very short amount of time to find a new place. I've heard so many awful things about finding apartments in NYC and assumed I'd be living in a shoebox with no windows. Thankfully I found a unit with Dansar and it literally could not have been easier, I'm still in shock at how easy the process was. I was able to see the apartment during a visit to NYC, but did the entire signing virtually from Chicago. I worked with Arielle the entire time - she made everything so easy and had great communication. My parents (who came with for the tour) absolutely gushed about her - she was very personable and confident in how she spoke and answered questions. My mom told me she felt better about me renting that unit, because compared to all the other people we worked with, Arielle made her feel confident that this was a good space and the company was legitimate. Depends who you work with... Assaf was the listing broker for the apartment we wanted. He initially seemed really nice and helpful, but that all turned around once we submitted our application. Prior to submitting the application, he promised to help us negotiate lease terms and fixes in the apartment (cleaning, painting, etc). Neither happened. He did not help us negotiate anything and furthermore after receiving his commission, he ignored all calls and texts from me as well as my broker. The lack of communication was a bit alarming, and we started to worry because we were nearing the start date of our lease and had not heard anything from him. Finally after I confronted him with how he had been ignoring our questions he begrudgingly responded to my broker. I understand that he was not our broker and did not care, but his attitude towards us was rude and unprofessional. When we finally received the keys to the apartment, we discovered that our key to the building did not work. After a few days we managed to get in touch with Dansar, and Itay helped us make a copy of the key. He was very nice and helpful. The Dansar group has nice listings, just make sure to work with the right broker. read more

We saw the apartment a day later, and were putting in an application later that afternoon. Moni was helpful, friendly, and responsive throughout the whole process. My husband and I had a great experience working with Jody and Will at the Dansar Group. We are new to New York and had a difficult renter profile. They really worked with us to show us apartments within our budget and with a flexible landlord. We saw properties that I hadn't come across online, whether I missed them or they had more exclusive showings I don't know, but the properties were all very high quality. Jody was always available for questions and really helped us through the renting process. I was moving uptown from the village and totally overwhelmed by the new environment, listings, prices, etc. Aliza was incredibly helpful and showed me several places in my desired location and budget. She was really respectful of my budget, time, and the things I needed from an apartment/building, which for me has been a rare find in real estate.
