Dan's Pest Control is awesome! Dan is a good guy, does an outstanding job taking control of a very undesirable situation. I mean why would it be called pest control if they were not pests. We did not know we had a mouse problem. Not all that unexpected living in the country I understand. But when my wife opened the dishwasher to load after dinner and there were two in there "pre-cleaning" for us. Well Sunday evening or not - time to find an exterminator. Dan's outstanding reviews led us to him and I promise, they are absolutely true. Dan responded to my email quickly with a quote and explanation of his typical procedure to control the rodents. He had an opening on Monday morning. Perfect! When he arrived we did a walk around where he is peering into cracks and crevices, looking under the deck at the foundation etc he confirmed his plan and went to work diving into the crawl space. When one of the critters appeared upstairs he sprang into action and cornered it, then caught it by hand. Placing it into a metal box he let us know that this little guy would be set free (my wife made sure it would be a good distance from our home). He also let us know the rest that were residing below would have to perish. After that first trip - no more mice. He will make 4 trips out to our place to check his trap line, removing any that have indeed managed to evade his original trip. He has sealed all those access points with metal mesh, gravel AND sealant (not just the spray foam the previous owners seemed to think would be sufficient) so no new unwelcome visitors are able to gain access to the crawl space. His rate for this service including 4-5 visits is very reasonable, he is very thorough, even providing photos of what he discovered underneath the house. The ants finally beat me! I'm a VERY stubborn person, and we have lived in our house for 21 years. We have been dealing with 2-3 massive winged ant infestations every year, and the people before us did as well. We have tried MANY DIY way's of getting rid of them. A couple years ago - we re-did our floors in tile, and replaced our front entry way and was pretty sure that we would never see ants in the house again! WRONG! First hot week in the spring - here they came! I finally cried Uncle! I'm not much for advertising, I trust referrals from known friends better, and when my friend told me at how Thankful they were to find Dan's Pest Control, and that he took care of their problem and that he was a nice guy - I figured I'd try him, as I was finally done beating my head against the ant wall! We had Dan come out before the first infestation could occur this year, and it has been SO AWESOME to NOT see my front entryway and door covered in black winged ants! It is August - and we would have typically been on our 3rd cycle of them by now! We were so happy with Dan's professionalism, and knowledge. He was very courteous, and we had no worries that our cat's and dog's would be harmed or in danger of any chemicals, as he was very careful with the application process. Our daughter has a void beneath her driveway that extends under the paved street in front of her house. It recently became home to a large collection of bad-tempered yellow jackets. I called Dan and he made an appointment for the next day. and solve the problem. A next day appointment is unheard of, but apparently not for Dan. He came by that next morning, suited up, aggravated the nest, and then sprayed the entire region in the void, powdered the entrance, waited ten minutes or so, and then repeated the spray. By this point only a few yellow jackets were around, so he told us to avoid the area for a day or so and then check it again after that time. If they have returned we are to give him a call and he will return and give them a second helping - at no extra charge! Then for good measure he gave them one more spray. There is a reason that all of Dan's reviews are five-star. Every one is deserved. If such a service is needed again, he will be the only one we will call. I can't imagine a more thorough, thoughtful, and competent person is available for such important work as clearing away nasty critters like this. read more

Dan, the owner & operator of Dan's Pest & Wildlife Control, has come to two different homes that I have owned in the past year to address rodent issues. On the visit today, he came to look for rodents I thought I heard under my house. After doing a thorough inspection of the exterior of my home he fixed a couple of areas where rodents could possibly enter even though there was no evidence of rodents. He next went under the house through the crawlspace and looked for signs of rodents. He did not find any signs of rodents. He was at my house for almost two hours and charged me a very reasonable rate for his time. He is very conscientious in his work and pleasant to work with. Dan is a super hero! We called on a holiday weekend, (of course), and were absolutely surprised to have him call back saying he was coming down this way and he'd stop by. We woke up to carpenter ants in the kitchen. We were sure that we wouldn't hear from anyone until Tuesday,as it was a holiday weekend. Dan came out surveyed the areas and make suggestions as to what to do. He showed up on time and took care of the problem. They were coming from a tree in the far back corner of property. They certainly had a highway coming to the house. By the end of the day we didn't see any more. Next morning we had a few that came and that was it!!!! Dan is the MAN! I emailed him this morning after a mouse sauntered out from under my ottoman, crossed the living room floor into the kitchen, grabbed a beer from the fridge, came back, and changed the channel I was watching. Well, only some of that happened, but anyway, Dan called me 10 minutes later and was at my house within an hour. After just an hour and a half, I already feel better about the icktastic mouse situation here. He secures copper mesh in compromised crawl spaces, places traps under the house, and comes back 2 or 3 more times to make sure he has gotten rid of all mice. This is exceptional service. I called Dan based on the YELP reviews I read...found a yellow jacket bees nest in the backyard. Because yellow jackets create their hives underground, I had no idea how big the hive would be. Dan arrived an hour earlier than predicted and was courteous and well prepared. He explained everything clearly and I immediately felt comfortable!! And he's BRAVE!!! When he started "uncovering" part of the hive to spray he had to run because those yellow jackets are fast!! But, he was not deterred and went back with a vengeance!!! He was awesome!! He's coming back in a few days to "dig out" the rest of the hive after the spray does its magic. I'm so glad I called him....the rate was more than reasonable and now I can get back to my lawn work!! Dan was great! He was very pleasant to work with and very knowledgeable. He quickly determined that the pest we were dealing with at our house was a squirrel. He no longer has the special permit required to eliminate squirrels from houses, so was not able to take care of them for us. But he told me how I could find someone who does have the required permit. He was very generous with his time, anyway. He spent time explaining to me what to look for and going around the entire perimeter of our house to look for places where the squirrel could get under our house All at no charge to me! I called Dan with a suspected mouse problem. He was punctual, professional and extremely helpful. He determined the problem wasn't mice, but probably bats. He then thoroughly inspected the perimeter of the home and checked the crawlspace. He found some entry points for the bats, and potential entry points for mice. He gave me some great advice about how to secure the home from mice and offered advice about how to deal with bats if they are still present when out of hibernation. Dan could easily have solved a mouse problem I didn't have at a significant cost, but proved honest and very helpful instead. Courteous, friendly, and professional. I called Dan's Pest Control during a remodel. He looked around the crawl space and knew right away there was an pack rat problem. He set out traps, repaired a screen, and blocked out areas he believed they were accessing through to my crawl space. He's very knowledgeable and promptly returned all of my call or emails. He caught 3 pack rats in my crawl space(ugh!). One of them took Dan multiple trips and traps to catch, but he was persistent and caught the rat. Dan was amazing. I called with a severe carpenter ant problem and he came out right away. He met me at my house in the evening because it was convenient FOR ME. He quickly assessed the problem. He was respectful and polite. He said that the product wouldn't have full effect until 30 days, but we have not seen a single ant since the second day after treatment.
