Dan's Pest Control is awesome! Dan is a good guy, does an outstanding job taking control of a very undesirable situation. I mean why would it be called pest control if they were not pests. We did not know we had a mouse problem. Not all that unexpected living in the country I understand. But when my wife opened the dishwasher to load after dinner and there were two in there "pre-cleaning" for us. Well Sunday evening or not - time to find an exterminator. Dan's outstanding reviews led us to him and I promise, they are absolutely true. Dan responded to my email quickly with a quote and explanation of his typical procedure to control the rodents. He had an opening on Monday morning. Perfect! When he arrived we did a walk around where he is peering into cracks and crevices, looking under the deck at the foundation etc he confirmed his plan and went to work diving into the crawl space. When one of the critters appeared upstairs he sprang into action and cornered it, then caught it by hand. Placing it into a metal box he let us know that this little guy would be set free (my wife made sure it would be a good distance from our home). He also let us know the rest that were residing below would have to perish. After that first trip - no more mice. He will make 4 trips out to our place to check his trap line, removing any that have indeed managed to evade his original trip. He has sealed all those access points with metal mesh, gravel AND sealant (not just the spray foam the previous owners seemed to think would be sufficient) so no new unwelcome visitors are able to gain access to the crawl space. His rate for this service including 4-5 visits is very reasonable, he is very thorough, even providing photos of what he discovered underneath the house. I would give Dan 10 stars for his service if it were possible. Thank you Dan, thanks to you, my wife is able to sleep soundly once again . read more

The ants finally beat me! I'm a VERY stubborn person, and we have lived in our house for 21 years. We have been dealing with 2-3 massive winged ant infestations every year, and the people before us did as well. We have tried MANY DIY way's of getting rid of them. A couple years ago - we re-did our floors in tile, and replaced our front entry way and was pretty sure that we would never see ants in the house again! WRONG! First hot week in the spring - here they came! I finally cried Uncle! I'm not much for advertising, I trust referrals from known friends better, and when my friend told me at how Thankful they were to find Dan's Pest Control, and that he took care of their problem and that he was a nice guy - I figured I'd try him, as I was finally done beating my head against the ant wall! We had Dan come out before the first infestation could occur this year, and it has been SO AWESOME to NOT see my front entryway and door covered in black winged ants! It is August - and we would have typically been on our 3rd cycle of them by now! We were so happy with Dan's professionalism, and knowledge. He was very courteous, and we had no worries that our cat's and dog's would be harmed or in danger of any chemicals, as he was very careful with the application process. We are planning on Dan coming out ever year for awhile! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! read more

Our daughter has a void beneath her driveway that extends under the paved street in front of her house. It recently became home to a large collection of bad-tempered yellow jackets. I called Dan and he made an appointment for the next day. and solve the problem. A next day appointment is unheard of, but apparently not for Dan. He came by that next morning, suited up, aggravated the nest, and then sprayed the entire region in the void, powdered the entrance, waited ten minutes or so, and then repeated the spray. By this point only a few yellow jackets were around, so he told us to avoid the area for a day or so and then check it again after that time. If they have returned we are to give him a call and he will return and give them a second helping - at no extra charge! Then for good measure he gave them one more spray. There is a reason that all of Dan's reviews are five-star. Every one is deserved. If such a service is needed again, he will be the only one we will call. I can't imagine a more thorough, thoughtful, and competent person is available for such important work as clearing away nasty critters like this. read more

Dan, the owner & operator of Dan's Pest & Wildlife Control, has come to two different homes that I have owned in the past year to address rodent issues. On the visit today, he came to look for rodents I thought I heard under my house. After doing a thorough inspection of the exterior of my home he fixed a couple of areas where rodents could possibly enter even though there was no evidence of rodents. He next went under the house through the crawlspace and looked for signs of rodents. He did not find any signs of rodents. He was at my house for almost two hours and charged me a very reasonable rate for his time. He is very conscientious in his work and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend Dan's Pest & Wildlife Control to anyone who has a pest issue and know they will be treated fairly & honestly. read more

Dan is a super hero! We called on a holiday weekend, (of course), and were absolutely surprised to have him call back saying he was coming down this way and he'd stop by. We woke up to carpenter ants in the kitchen. We were sure that we wouldn't hear from anyone until Tuesday,as it was a holiday weekend. Dan came out surveyed the areas and make suggestions as to what to do. He showed up on time and took care of the problem. They were coming from a tree in the far back corner of property. They certainly had a highway coming to the house. By the end of the day we didn't see any more. Next morning we had a few that came and that was it!!!! We are very happy to recommend Dan to anyone who needs help with pest control. Truly great service and not a big company to deal with. Thanks Dan!!! read more

Dan is the MAN! I emailed him this morning after a mouse sauntered out from under my ottoman, crossed the living room floor into the kitchen, grabbed a beer from the fridge, came back, and changed the channel I was watching. Well, only some of that happened, but anyway, Dan called me 10 minutes later and was at my house within an hour. After just an hour and a half, I already feel better about the icktastic mouse situation here. He secures copper mesh in compromised crawl spaces, places traps under the house, and comes back 2 or 3 more times to make sure he has gotten rid of all mice. This is exceptional service. He is so nice and dealt with my unfounded fear of mice very professionally. I am excited to know that the mice no longer have one up on me. Thank you, Dan! read more

I called Dan based on the YELP reviews I read...found a yellow jacket bees nest in the backyard. Because yellow jackets create their hives underground, I had no idea how big the hive would be. Dan arrived an hour earlier than predicted and was courteous and well prepared. He explained everything clearly and I immediately felt comfortable!! And he's BRAVE!!! When he started "uncovering" part of the hive to spray he had to run because those yellow jackets are fast!! But, he was not deterred and went back with a vengeance!!! He was awesome!! He's coming back in a few days to "dig out" the rest of the hive after the spray does its magic. I'm so glad I called him....the rate was more than reasonable and now I can get back to my lawn work!! Thanks Dan! read more

Dan is as good as it gets! If you're in search of a knowledgeable, compassionate individual with an amazing sense of urgency, look no further! I found Dan on Yelp and called him immediately based upon the reviews I read. We had Yellow Jackets and Paper Wasps in just about every eave of our house in Bend, OR, and our garage. It was overwhelming as we don't live in Bend year round, so we needed someone who could respond quickly before we closed up the house and headed home to San Diego. Dan was that man! He not only resolved our issues quickly and professionally, he was kind enough to also resolve our neighbor's issues with Yellow Jackets. I highly recommend Dan! Dan, if you happen to read this, thanks so much for all your help! read more

Dan was great! He was very pleasant to work with and very knowledgeable. He quickly determined that the pest we were dealing with at our house was a squirrel. He no longer has the special permit required to eliminate squirrels from houses, so was not able to take care of them for us. But he told me how I could find someone who does have the required permit. He was very generous with his time, anyway. He spent time explaining to me what to look for and going around the entire perimeter of our house to look for places where the squirrel could get under our house All at no charge to me! I would definitely call Dan again if we had the kinds of pests at our house that he works with. Highly recommend! read more

Dan is the best "mouse man" in Bend. His thorough, reasonably-priced program put an immediate stop to our pest issue and I appreciated his recommendations for ongoing prevention. He removed our mice, sealed (several, unknown) entry points into our home to deter future infestation, and did it all with professionalism and a smile. An expert on Central Oregon insects and wildlife, Dan does all the work himself, so you deal directly with the owner of a Bend company and not an employee of a big national pest chain (can't say who, but it rhymes with "Borkin") that might follow a protocol not tailored to your needs, resulting in more expense down the road. Dan's Pest and Wildlife Control: five stars! read more

I called Dan with a suspected mouse problem. He was punctual, professional and extremely helpful. He determined the problem wasn't mice, but probably bats. He then thoroughly inspected the perimeter of the home and checked the crawlspace. He found some entry points for the bats, and potential entry points for mice. He gave me some great advice about how to secure the home from mice and offered advice about how to deal with bats if they are still present when out of hibernation. Dan could easily have solved a mouse problem I didn't have at a significant cost, but proved honest and very helpful instead. Courteous, friendly, and professional. I would recommend him without reservation. read more

Dan is awesome - reliable, he communicates really great, he's honest & he's also just a super nice guy! I was convinced that I had a mouse problem... after looking in every possible crevice very thoroughly, he told me we didn't have a problem after all - for all I know (or lack thereof) & as paranoid as I am, he could have trumped up some charges & made me pay a bunch for control or prevention or whatever, but he just left me with 'let me know if you have any other concerns in the future & I'll be right out". I really appreciate that he's just a good honest guy - it's a rarity theses days. & I will absolutely call him, & only him!, for any issue in the future! Thanks, Dan! read more

I called Dan's Pest Control during a remodel. He looked around the crawl space and knew right away there was an pack rat problem. He set out traps, repaired a screen, and blocked out areas he believed they were accessing through to my crawl space. He's very knowledgeable and promptly returned all of my call or emails. He caught 3 pack rats in my crawl space(ugh!). One of them took Dan multiple trips and traps to catch, but he was persistent and caught the rat. Since then I haven't heard any more noises coming from the crawl space. His pricing is fair, and I would definitely recommend his services for Pest Control. (I have a home in Bend, OR) Thank you Dan! read more

Dan was amazing. I called with a severe carpenter ant problem and he came out right away. He met me at my house in the evening because it was convenient FOR ME. He quickly assessed the problem. He was respectful and polite. He said that the product wouldn't have full effect until 30 days, but we have not seen a single ant since the second day after treatment. He has a full year guarantee and said to give him a call if we need him before a year at no charge. His prices were great and I would gladly pay it again in a heartbeat for the quality and professionalism exhibited by Dan. I highly recommend Dan. I will be calling him for all my pest needs. read more

It truly is as good as it gets!!! We called Dan 2 years in ago to treat our property for ants, he was prompt, efficient & got rid the ants. Last year we noticed some indications of a possible return of the ants, we called Dan & he was prompt, efficient & no ants since then. We began our spring planting this year & my wife has not found any indications of ant infestation. Dan is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, willing to share information & gets the job done. To say the least, he is the EXPERT in his field. We would recommend him in a heartbeat without any hesitation. If you need someone to tackle you pest concerns, Dan is he MAN!!! read more

We recently had a home inspection and it looked like we might have mice under our house. I called Dan's Pest Control and he promptly returned my inquiry and schedule an appointment. Dan showed up on time and was extremely professional to work with. He took the time to explain the process he used to determine if we did have a problem. A week later Dan returned on time and it turns out there was no problem thankfully! Dan made sure any potential entry points were closed off to avoid any future visits. I would highly recommend Dan and should I have any problems I won't hesitate to call Dan to the rescue! read more

We hired Dan's Pest Control to deal w/ a mouse infestation in our newer home in Bend. Our experience w/ Dan's Pest Control was truly superb. Dan was very professional, articulate, responsive, effective, flexible, and understanding of our unique situation. A year later, he even stood behind his services with a helpful re-evaluation. His prices were more than reasonable and his work was very thorough. Dan is up to date on the most modern techniques, safety protocols, and central Oregon needs. I called Dan after reading the many great reviews on line. After meeting with him, I found the reviews to be exactly right. He is an honest and conscientious businessman. We have had years of intermittent mouse problems. He is very professional and patient and listened to all my mouse stories. He explained in detail his process and followed through. Dan sealed up all the holes under our house and we have not seen any mouse activity since. I would highly recommend him. read more

For years, we had those big, hard shelled carpenter ants marching around on our back deck. We thought they were harmless. Wrong. We got a referral from a friend on Dan's Pest Control. Seriously, Dan came in, super nice and very knowledgable about Central Oregon pests. Educated us on the problem and told us what he would do to eliminate it. We have been ant free for 2 summers yearly now. We're on a regular schedule with Dan - no more ant issue! Thanks Dan! read more
