Like many customers, I felt reassured when I walked into the shop and saw numerous bridal gowns in the store AND I read the cusotmer reviews before I brought my dress. I believed my expensive designer gown would be in experienced hands. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I brought my gown to Scissor Bird Alterations to be taken in on the sides and hemmed for my son's wedding. The side alterations were acceptable, but the hemming was not. The first time I picked up my dress, I immediately noticed that the new hem was clearly visible all the way around the gown. Instead of preserving the original look of the dress, there was an obvious stitched line that changed its appearance. When I questioned it, Marta told me that this was how the original hem looked. I showed her photographs from the designer's website, which clearly showed that the original gown did not have a visible stitched hem. After seeing the photos, she agreed to keep the dress and rework the hem. I was so concerned that I returned the very next day because I no longer felt comfortable with the alterations. I was considering taking the dress elsewhere, but Marta reassured me that she could correct the issues, so I trusted her and left it with her a second time. When I picked up the dress again, the visible stitching had been improved, but the hem was now puckered and uneven in multiple places. Marta told me to take the gown to a professional dry cleaner to have it pressed, explaining that the pressing would allow the hem to lay flat. In all my years of having clothing altered, I have never picked up a garment from a tailor that was not ready to wear. I followed her recommendation and paid to have the gown professionally pressed and cleaned. Unfortunately, the professional pressing did not correct the puckering or uneven hem. I also had to pay to have the gown professionally cleaned because the hem had become noticeably dirty during the alteration process. My shoes, which I wore only during my fittings in the shop, were also dirty on the bottom. With my son's wedding only days away, I sought a second opinion from Pinpoint Alterations. They opened the hem to inspect the previous alteration work because the puckering could not be corrected by pressing alone. Watching another tailor carefully take apart an expensive designer gown in an attempt to salvage it just days before my son's wedding was heartbreaking. After I contacted Marta again, she offered to inspect the dress. I appreciate that she made the offer, but by that point another inspection was not what I needed. I had already given her the opportunity to correct the work, followed her recommendation to have the gown professionally pressed, and the results had not changed. What concerned me most was not simply that the alterations did not turn out well, but that the dress was presented to me as finished despite workmanship that I immediately questioned. The visible stitched hem was apparent the first time I picked it up, and after it was reworked, the puckering and uneven hem were also evident. As a customer, I expected an expensive designer gown to leave the shop in a wearable condition--not require professional pressing and cleaning before I could even consider wearing it. The photographs clearly show the condition of the hem, and despite knowing I was dissatisfied from the very first pickup, there was never an offer to refund the alteration charges or help cover the additional expenses I incurred trying to make the dress wearable, including professional pressing, professional cleaning, and a second alterations specialist. I understand that every seamstress may occasionally encounter a difficult fabric. I am actually angrier with myself for trusting her with my dress. This was one of the most important garments I have ever purchased because it was the dress I planned to wear for my son's wedding. Instead of feeling excited for such a special occasion, I spent the days leading up to it trying to save a dress that I had entrusted to a professional. I sincerely hope my experience helps others make an informed decision before entrusting an important garment to this business.

It is immaculate, modern, and well maintained, it has an excellent location and great parking, and on the day I was there it was cared for by a wonderful attendant (a blonde woman whose name I did not learn) who was constantly cleaning and providing help to everyone who needed it. I assume it is not the cheapest laundromat in Bend, but every penny has clearly been reinvested in the the machines, the facility, and the service. And the money is going to good people, because the attendant told me that the owners are the nicest people she has ever worked for. Laundromats aren't normally the most enjoyable places, but I will actually look forward to the next occasion when I need to use the services of Washable Laundry!

The parking lot is really small and street parking is a hot commodity, with the food truck and tap room spot across the street, but I found a spot in the Washable parking lot right when I pulled in on a Saturday afternoon! (I tend to have really good parking karma). Speaking of the food truck spot across the street, THAT was a cool benefit of this laundry-mat; food and drinks while you wait?? Yes, please!

My neighbors have a tree in there backyard that box-elder bugs live in, the tree hangs over my driveway, so of course the bugs sworn our fence and house when it gets warm. Our landlords have a contract with Terminix and they are say that they come out every Thursday to spray but we never seem to get relief, not sure what they spray or if they even show up since they claim to come during the day when nobody is home, but it seems like there are worse all the time. I called Pointe and they offered to come out and do a courtesy spray. Since then we have had some relief, we know that until the tree is taken care of by the neighbors owners they will not completely go away. Pojnte was extremely helpful and after they sprayed just the once we have seen an improvement. I will be recommending Pointe to my landlord, not only because there was some improvement but because they were very professional and friendly to work with! I would be happy to recommend Pointe to ALL of my friends and family members!! read more

This company is so awesome! Professional, knowledgeable, competent. efficient, friendly and more! David Williams was so nice and got our service lined up immediately. Kenny Vanleewen, came out the very next day and serviced our house insect protection quickly and thoroughly. He was so nice and explained every detail of what he was doing and the products he was using. I was having a problem with some spiders entering into my bedroom. He checked everything out looking for what might be causing this problem. What he discovered was the outside caulking on the bottom of the window had cracked creating an opening for pest entry. This is a new house, but there are always going to be some problems, so I'm very thankful that Kenny found this so I can now contact the builder to do warranty repair. We have been continually impressed by Pointe Pest Control during the two years we have been on a quarterly service agreement. We live in a rural area where critters are plentiful, and sometimes destructive. We appreciate the reliable, regular visits of the techs, who are all just excellent, especially Justin. On the occasions when we need an extra visit (yellow jackets in this case), we were able to schedule a visit promptly and Justin did a great job assuring he treated both the entry and the exit of the ground nest. Since we have dogs, we are grateful that Pointe Pest uses products that are as non-toxic as possible under the individual circumstances. read more

Just started using this service but Jake- the guy with whom I originally spoke with- was extremely informative and helpful. This is our first home so we knew we'd need pest control and it's better to start before an issue occurs! Our first inspection/application was done by Dalton who was early and also extremely friendly, informative, and helpful. He let me know exactly what was being placed around my house. He also completed the check out procedure at the beginning so I could get back to my sleeping baby and not wake her later! Patrick came out and sprayed today and was amazing. He was extremely knowledgable and brought our mind at ease when it came to the activity we've had around our house with spiders, and other bugs. Jay Hicks with Point Pest preformed the third, every an three month service at my log house and guest house. He knew exactly what to look for and made suggestions on the relocation of the bait boxes. He was the first technician to my house when I called Point Pest regarding my carpenter ant and pack rat infestation in a few locations in my log house. The rats disappeared almost overnight and the ants were completely gone after a couple on months. I recommend Point Pest Control as the other technicians that did the services in-between this service were very professional also. read more

They try to put you into a contract which the tech will say is quarterly.. but they try to sneak a 5th payment in and send you to collections. They say if your having a problem they will come out any time and take care of it while in the contract. But they do not.. they only come out every 14 or 21 days even if requested more. The have been spraying for over a year and I still have spiders everywhere. They spray your windows on the outside so it has spray lines and you cant get it off your windows. I have been noticing more and more mice in and around our house. Gross. I called Pointe and they came over to access the same day. Cole, came out the following week to get everything set. We have started the process of eradicating the rodents. Found out we have a pack rat or two as well. He got our traps setup and entry ways sealed off. He will be back regularly to change out the traps. He also sprayed for bugs on the outside of our house! I feel relieved knowing our home will be rodent free in the weeks to come. read more

(I think they even "Ma'am-ed" me. ) They inspected the area of concern (garage) and determined the probable entry point for the mouse invasion, blocked the exterior access points, refilled exterior bait stations, and laid additional traps inside the garage. I had to leave early the next morning and quickly checked the area before driving away. It was clear from the intense odor that something was working already! Jason Powell came by tonight for a followup visit in the middle of our quarterly treatments. We've been having a heavy spider and ant issue this month. He was incredibly courteous, friendly, professional and way more thorough than our previous techs...who have all been very good. Zach was our service provider. Our biggest pest is a large population of lizards that live on my back deck. He was honest about his knowledge of exterminating lizards, which from where he comes from was limited and not a problem. He was quick, COVID conscientious, thorough, informative of his service. I contacted them because of red and black ants on my patio and mice in the garage. On that first visit, Jarid took care of everything even taking of wasp nests that I did not realise were there. We had renters in our vacation home in Black Butte and a bat got in. Although Pointe Pest does not typically deal with bats, Jeff Diehm graciously responded. The scheduler shared that it would be a couple days before they could respond. I pleaded and Jeff came the next day.
