After trying on my own to remove a pest (i.e. Mole or Gopher ) from my yard which included buying electronic devices that are supposed to drive the critter from my yard , i called ALpine Pest solutions of Bend, Dustin Benson came out to my home looked at the situation and told me I had a gopher problem not a mole problem like I thought. Dustin set traps and also put gopher poison in the tunnels. Dustin was both highly professional and very knowledgeable. Well this week one of his traps caught a very big gopher . I had a sense of relief with how he clearly explained what was needed in a professional, knowledgable, and friendly manner. Flash, the tech from Alpine, just left our home. He was exceptional! We had been noticing a few roof rats (they are black and new to the Bend area), in our lush garden. After reading all the positive reviews, we decided to call Alpine. Flash was so thorough and knowledgeable, explaining his whole process to us. He took his time, found the entry points both outside and in the crawl space, plugged everything up, set traps, and then sprayed the exterior for bugs. We felt so comfortable with him. A door-to-door salesman of this company came to my house not once but twice knocking which extremely upset my dogs and baby while there was a sign posted on my door that says "my baby is sleeping do not knock or ring the bell". These guys were great to work with! I chose them based on their philosophy shared on their website about getting to a real solution and not just treating the symptoms. Once they arrived and started evaluating our situation, they definitely got to a real and long term solution rather than just treating the problem at the surface. Had a bird issue in our home. Small openings in our roof allowed small birds into our attic. Called and Coty came out to help. Arrived right on time and within an hour..problem solved. We have used Alpine Pest Management for 12 years. If ever we issue with anything walking or crawling they are our first and only call. Our first home was in the Sunriver area; they helped us with bees. We are now in Redmond, they eliminated a yellow jack and a hornet nests. We thought the hornets had resurfaced, Alpine Pest Managment returned and confirmed they were not from our home but from somewhere nearby, and there was no charge. Unbeknownst to me, I had a yellow jacket hive under the overhang of my home. They chewed through the exterior of the home and into the drywall of my living room. Within minutes, I had a swarm of yellow jackets fill my living room. I had to vacate with my children immediately and, as you can imagine, it was a very scary situation. I called every pest control company in Bend and every company was completely booked, including Alpine Pest Management. However, Glen, the owner of Alpine Pest Management, came out personally to help me within a few hours of my phone call. He took care of the nest quite quickly and explained what I could expect after the nest was destroyed over the following 24 hours. He personally vacuumed up 50-100 yellowjackets before leaving. He also came back a week later to fill the hole created by the bees on the outside of my home. He was very kind and wonderful to work with.
