I don't usually leave reviews, but this place deserves one. The owner offered me a free warm chocolate donut to try, completely out of the blue. That kind of customer service is almost extinct these days. Most places make you feel like you're inconveniencing them if you ask for a sample--looking at you, Baskin-Robbins. The donut itself was amazing. You could immediately tell it was made with better ingredients than what most places use. It was warm, fresh, rich, and actually tasted homemade instead of mass-produced. The chocolate flavor was spot on, and the texture was perfect. What really stood out, though, was the generosity. The owner was confident enough in his product to hand me a warm donut and say, "Here, try this." That simple gesture turned me from someone just walking by into a customer for life. Holy mother of donuts!!! I have this coupon app and it says after a certain time they have a deal is a few places in Danny's donuts is one! I said one day I'm gonna try it. I just happen to be at Starbucks and I noticed it was right next-door so I ordered my coffee. Just walked over to see what they had.! when I first opened the door there was a family leaving and the gentleman said we will definitely be back. This is an amazing place so that was one point there as I was looking through the donuts. The gentleman gave me the warmest welcome!! We love Danny's! They always have fresh and various varieties of unique donuts everyday. We got to try fresh donuts straight out of the fryer, incredible! What a treat! Same owners as Monterey donuts in Prunedale and Monterey. They're still developing their menu and are taking suggestions and trying new things. We asked them for Ube donuts and they gladly made them, they're so good! I also asked for a whipped cream filled donut as those are my favorite. Which he made for me right on the spot! They also have cronuts which are my friends favorite. There's always something new in the case. They have recently added Boba drinks which I haven't tried yet. read more

Great customer service, fantastic donuts! Nowhere close to my house but I'll drive there every time for donuts. 10/10!

I love a classic glazed and raised and Danny's does an excellent job with theirs. They have all your classics and there is also no shortage of variety or fun flavors so there is something for everyone. I also had the opportunity to have a glazed and raised that was still hot from the fryer and it was a transcendental experience. read more

I've already been here 3x in the last week! The selection seems limited but I don't mind, the doughnuts taste fresh and delicious. I believe they are just selling them as fast as they are making them which is great! They have "free coffee with a doughnut purchase" which is nice too. (Or you can hit up the Starbucks next door) Next time I'm going savory and trying the ham and cheese croissants. They also have Boba drinks and breakfast sandwiches on the menu. Another little thing that makes me happy here is the little sticker box they have by the register. Just little fun stickers for free. Came in around 2:20pm and there was a sign out front that said "hot and fresh batch at 2pm" but the selection was minimal, I don't know if it's because there was a rush or if I misunderstood but yeah. The service was attentive and quick. I wish I had asked more questions. I think what they could do to improve is to either specifically place "regular", "deluxe", and "fancy" in certain spots OR/AND make cute little signages for each donut explaining the name, type, and maybe allergens. I was gonna go with a deluxe dozen but they didn't have too many options so I went with regular for today. read more

I've have donuts from all over Monterey county but these are the best, not heavy and greasy like other places. there maple and chocolate bars are my favorite. My only gripe is sometimes they shove to many donuts in a box and the they get ruined. The chocolate stuck to the botttom of the maple bar and the maple stuck to the box and wouldn't come off.... That kinda ruined my experience lately, and it's always my door dash orders. read more

What a joy to discover a new, non-chain donut shop in our neighborhood. I drove by the sign on the way home from the gym (so didn't stop in, because I'm a good boy) and so I stopped in at the first opportunity. It is a surprisingly spacious place nestled next to the Starbucks, with outdoor seating and a couple of glass cases full of baked delights. We got the Glazed, Chocolate Glazed, Maple and Chocolate Twist, Apple Fritter, and a Twisted Braided Blueberry something. All were fluffy, tasty and, best of all, not so sweet that our teeth hurt after eating them, which is a problem with some chain-store donuts. Good place, welcome to the neighborhood. First and last time ordering. I ordered via DoorDash. They ran out of tapioca and tried to upcharge me for a replacement I didn't want. When I asked for no boba at all, they still charged the higher price and sent the cups only partially filled. The taro flavor was also very off--not sweet and tasted like mixed cereal. The five is for the guava filled, powder sugared donut. It was like a cloud. Yum! The young woman behind the counter was helpful, answered questions and made us smoothies. The smoothies were good but looked nothing like the pictures so be aware. The place is a typical donut shop, slightly in the small side. The place has a couple of tables. The only suggestion o have after going a couple of times is to check the stock of napkins and other items on the counter. Ensure that customers have the items to clean themselves up or hold the donuts without getting their fingers all sticky. The other donuts are well done. This place SUCKS!!! when they first opened, the place was immaculate! The donuts were plentiful, the people were pleasant. Now the staff changes almost daily. The donuts are always half empty. You can buy a coffee but half the time it's too strong. The coolers are broken if you're looking for any type of artificial sweeteners, creamers or anything like that... Good luck! Sometimes I'll have a carton of milk in the cooler next to the front door. The communal milk carton that everyone gets to use. This place is horrible.
