Kristys Donuts are very light and fluffy/flakey. It definitely tastes like they change and take care of the oil they're dunking their donuts into. Out of: glazed, cake with sprinkles, chocolate glaze, maple bar, maple donuts and creme filled chocolate here are my rankings in order of best to worst: 1. Glazed - I'm plain. I judge a donut by its base and I enjoy that nice pure taste of a fresh glazed donuts. It was flakey and fluffy, the glaze wasn't too sweet and wasn't sticky and gross. It was all a very good package. 2. Cake with Sprinkles - ok, first - I don't like cake donuts. I love cake, I love donuts - but they're two separate entities. However, this cake donut (chocolate or vanilla with sprinkles) blew my mind. It was still kinda hot, crispy on the outside and soft and taste on the inside. If you ever tried an Andagi this is EXACTLY what they taste like. This was a hard #2 3. Chocolate with filling - it was good, but I love frills and the custard filling was a grill. The donut was good and the filling wasn't too sweet. 4. Chocolate Glaze And then the maple bar and maple donut were too sweet for me. In any case I took one for the maple bar and then also because I think Salinas donut is giving them a run for their money. I enjoyed this donut but the location and taste will keep me Salinas donut loyal.

Like hold up wait a minute WHOA my aunt from the Bay Area always raves about how Kristy's cinnamon rolls are hands down the best and not too sweet. Our grandma lives around the corner from there so every time we go to visit grandma she's uber excited to get her favorite cinnamon roll!! I can't believe it took me years to go there with our entire family and wow what a secret hidden gem that has 4 reviews dang yelpers don't be scared to cruise the Eaaaast Siiiide it's so worth it!! They donuts are made fresh all day the service is awesome as I questioned the lady working with my usual "what's your favorite"? She recommended the buttermilk glazed donut and OMG so bomb along with the maple old fashion and cinnamon roll I tried. This place is dangerously good I can't wait to visit grandma again and Christy heheheh!!

    Freshly made old fashion donuts.

Such a rip-off. 3 donuts = $21? Idk if they charged us the correct price but charged my family $21 for THREE donuts. Absolutely ridiculous.

I thought the donuts would be fluffier and flavorful. They were ok, maybe I will consider giving it another try.

I've had lots of donuts in my life. This is probably one of the best. Very fluffy and soft donuts. The chocolate had a nice rich taste.

We had a overall great experience. Service from the young lady helping us was absolutely stellar. I had made an appointment to get my nails done as my wonderful nail lady gets down just a few doors down and I had taken my mom with me to get a pedicure while I got my nails done. We decided to stop in this location to get a sandwich when originally we were gonna stop at the bagel place, but we remembered how absolutely sweet she was at the counter The in-house made croissants were absolutely to die for the sandwiches were filling and plentiful, and the blueberry donuts were probably the best I've ever tried and I am sort of a blueberry donut connoisseur being that they're my favorite lol it is a very old-school Classic donut shop vibe - very clean very inviting with Space to sit. You're all set here. Don't be surprised if you go and you are so taken back by how unbelievably kind and sweet this young lady is, and I have to mention an incredibly hard worker. She told us she is there from five in the morning till five at night Please support this locally owned an operated business after you try the food you won't regret it.

My personal favorite is the non glazed old fashioned, never too greasy and always crispy. The blended drinks are consistent, and while it is what you expect from a donut shop, she's willing to scale back on the sugar if you'd like. To be clear, yes, they sell donuts, but no, they do not sell ice cream; and, furthermore, it feels as though the donuts only exist because of the lottery tickets and scratchers that they sell as those have a better selection than donuts. That said, I did purchase a donut from their meager selection in the afternoon. Not sure if that selection was limited by the time of day, or simply reflects all that they have but the donut was decent, I believe it was called a cinnamon crunch, but the remaining selection of donuts were a small collection of cake and old-fashioned. Still not sure why ice cream is listed in the name as the sign outside the business does not reflect that either. I went to purchase my donut only to learn that they only accept credit cards for purchases over three dollars. Good to know my donut was under three dollars, disappointing if you fail to bring cash they have a decent sized sitting area in the back behind the lottery section. Ironically, I feel as though it is more generous than the area used to sell their tickets and donuts, the attendant was neither nor cordial. Experience was less than memorable. The only reason I chose to do a review to help others avoid a similar disappointment. My final advice, walk across the street buy some box donuts from Grocery Outlet and you'll be similarly pleased.

Starting with the tacos, the homemade corn tortillas are definitely a highlight. You can taste the freshness, and they add a lot to the overall experience. Both the fish and asada tacos were packed with flavor. The onion and cilantro toppings were the perfect additions, and I loved the purple cabbage on the fish taco for the extra crunch and freshness. Honestly, you can't go wrong with either option. The Chile verde burrito, though, was my favorite. The Chile verde was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It's also a bigger burrito, stuffed with rice and beans, making it a very satisfying meal. The tortilla isn't homemade, but it still held everything together nicely and tasted great. Overall, a great spot with strong flavors and quality ingredients. I'd definitely come back, and the Chile verde burrito is something I could see myself getting all the time!

I would have to say that my top pick however would be their Tres Leches cups. It is absolutely divine and is hands down the best Tres Leches I have ever had no contest. They also do wedding cakes. I had my wedding this year in Monterey and they were able to provide an absolutely beautiful two layered cake with a perfectly spiced carrot cake as the bottom layer and a wonderfully moist Tres Leches cake as the top layer. Absolutely everyone was raving about how good the cake was!
