I was working in the area and had the opportunity to visit here twice. I felt it was only fair to…read moretry this place more than once before giving it a score. Located right off of 156b in a decent sized parking lot amongst random businesses, this place is kinda hidden but you'll be glad it's here if you can't go far for lunch. I ordered the turkey sandwich without tomatoes or onions, so it was kinda plain but tasted pretty good. They have a combo option to get chips, a drink and a cookie with your sandwich for a pretty good price. They also have pasta in the fridge that they heat up or you can take it home and heat yourself. I got the beef ravioli and it was actually cheese inside but the sauce had beef in it, I guess that counts? A few of the bottom raviolis were stuck together and hard around the edges but it was good for what it was although a bit pricey. The ladies at the counter were very nice and friendly. There also seems to be a ton of regulars here which I appreciate, gotta love loyalty to small businesses.

So nice and friendly and took the time to talk to us. They even set out water and gave treats to our dog. We got 5 sandwiches and they were ALL GREAT! Good portions, hardy, great tasting. And I'm not usually a sandwich person! I wanted a wrap but they didn't have tortillas that day, so you may need to be a little flexible on your order since it's definitely a mom-and-pop type place. But whatever you end up getting will not disappoint you! The place was very clean and their bathroom was well maintained. Lots of casual seating. I imagine it can get busy during lunch time.

Insanely expensive for some discolored iceberg lettuce for a salad and mushy corn. The wait time we…read morewere given was 25 minutes for a half sandwich half salad dish. The sandwich was supposed to be warm and when we went in there approx 10 minutes before the recommended 25 the order was already ready, waiting and cold. If we'd waited another 10 the bread for the sandwich probably would have been soggy. But good for them time wise getting it done.... If you want something cold/room temp. The sandwich was sad. Maybe a spoonful of chopped chicken on it. Maybe would have fed a toddler but not an adult ordering it. The good thing I can say was the chipotle sauce was good. We definitely were bummed we waisted our money knowing we could have made it better and fresher for cheaper.

"Spread" with unnaturally mint green substance on center of bread slices, bacon had to be cooked further at home. One sandwich was cut in half, other was not. One had one single slice of tomato, the other had diced tomatoes. Got a plate for my baby with "crispy" chicken that was not crispy and cold. Just super super disappointed and wish for either the employees to actually out in some effort or for people to just not waste their time.

Saladworks - $10.49 for a small salad and $10.29 for a cold hoagie. Wow. Pretty pricey!

Saladworks - The container isn't even full. Literally below the presumed fill line. More toppings than greens. Small portion.

4 stars for Casa De Fruta & 5 PHENOMENAL STARS FOR RIC!!!!!!!…read more My family and I have driven past Casa De Fruta on numerous occasions and never thought to stop by and check it out. Located in Hollister, this is a well known family owned attraction. Here you will find a market, a restaurant, and some fun kiddy attractions. The attractions are what brought my family and I here. After seeing social media posts about the activities, I knew I had to take my toddler here to explore. Fun attractions available are: 1) Casa de ChooChoo 2) Casa de Carousel 3) Gem Mining 4) Casa de Playground [a whole playground kiddy structure] We purchased tickets for the carousel and the train ride. The carousel seemed a little outdated and could use a little bit of maintenance. some of the seating rocked a bit- nothing unsafe but definitely had some unexpected movement. Casa de ChooChoo was by far our most favorite attraction. At $5 a ticket, this little train takes you all around the property. This was a good 12 minute ride so you aren't rushed to get the next load of riders on. The views aren't anything amazing but the seating is comfortable and you get a nice break from being on your feet. Popular purchasing staples include: fresh produce, dried fruits, spiced or candied nuts, & CDF's pomegranate wine. We walked away with some pink pineapple, assorted jerky, candy, & caramel apple. I'll have to come back and try their pomegranate wine again because of all the raving- I got a bottle a few years back as a gift but didn't enjoy it at all. Hopefully my palate has become more refined with time. LMAO! Shout out to Ric. Thank you for the delicious samples and even better convo!! You shine in a store full of staff, you are my favorite part of my very first visit to Casa De Fruta.

Very pricey but not surprised as it seems like a very touristy spot…read more I bought a bag of almonds for $18.99 and they are one of the worst almonds I've ever had. They are mushy/stale, extremely disappointed for the price point. The fruit I bought was pretty good.
