They have 1 option for a roll, and it makes the sandwich dry due to too much bread and not enough meat and condiments. Hands down the worst deli sandwich I've had in the last 10 years. The male that works there had a horrible attitude and horrible reaction when we advised that a change was needed to one of the 3 sandwiches that we ordered. It's been the same person both times making them, and the quality has been absolutely terrible. Ingredients were just thrown on unevenly (cucumbers in one corner, turkey in another), making them sloppy and unbalanced. The wrapping was greasy and dirty, like she didn't change gloves between orders. It felt unhygienic and careless. She was also talking and distracted. Both of my orders have been wrong. Today, I didn't ask for jalapeños or bacon, but there were jalapeños on my sandwich and even a tiny piece of bacon. It looks like it may have fallen in accidentally or been transferred by dirty gloves, which was upsetting because I don't eat pork. They sell only their house made wines which are consistently underwhelming and laughably overpriced. I've tried a number of variety's , at different years and different seasons. Never a prize bottle to remember in all the years . Frankly embarrassed that I gave some as gifts because they were "regional and local" , as it's just not very good wine . And they sell one type of beer .., a very very unpalatable Pilsner for $12 Bucks a six pack !? Going to and from Santa Clarita to San Jose, I always stop at casa de wine. Casa de wine is basically in the center of the casa de frusta well known restaurant and casa de sweets. This little rest stop in Northern California is one of the best rest stops I ever been to. Although 2020 is a rough year due to the coronavirus outbreak, I've visited this place many times prior to the pandemic. Inside, there are various novelty items with dried fruits, antiques, snacks, dressings, syrups and most famously known for the sandwiches. The sandwiches are very delicious and they are about $10.00 give or take depending on if you wanted to add $2 for avocado or 2$ for additional meat. The sandwiches are custom made and I always go here to purchase them. The customer service is more or less, average but the convenience of coming here and scouting not only casa de wine, but the casa de fruta restaurant, dried fruit store and sweets give a family enjoyable vibe. There are also small rides like carousel, train rides and swings for children open during specific times. The pandemic however has shut down this children play area for the time being but it is enjoyable to the babies. The casa de wine has various wine bottles for wine drinkers as well. I haven't tried very many of the wines but the ones that I purchased were not bad. They have a sweeter taste than normal wine you would normally get at restaurants and BevMo. Prices have been increasing rapidly because of lack of sales during the 2020 pandemic. The prices used to be fair about, 10-30$ for a majority of the products but now they have been inflated. Last time I went here, I went to the other venues because casa de wine closes early and decided to purchase pies. The pies are located at the other casa venues and they are about $15. My favorites are the marrionberry, fruit of the forest and the boysenberry. I have never actually tasted the food but from the looks of what others had and the menu, I can rest assured it is the same as Denny's or IHOP. Prices were pretty high as well, so hopefully the quality is there. Parking is abundant and bathrooms are located in stalls outside and inside the restaurants as well as inside casa de wine. Gas stations are also located nearby and small convenience stores too. Chevron is here so, very unfortunate as they hike the price per gallon on there customers. read more

Absolutely LOVE stopping here and time I'm going back and forth from The Bay to LA. The wine is super fun for a nice little break while you wait for your sandwich to be made. My husband and I took a mini 4th of July trip to Casa de Fruta. I haven't been in over 10 years, so everything was pretty new to me. We stopped in to the wine shop to look around and ended up doing a tasting of their wines. It was a nice stop since Casa de Wine is not as crowded as the rest of Casa de Fruta. For $10, we could try four wines. We both really enjoyed their chardonnay and plum wine. I loved their classic pomegranate wine. I never even knew that plum or pomegranate wine even existed. The plum wine was really unique and was not overly sweet like I was expecting. The worker who was pouring the wines was really nice and knowledgeable. We ended up buying four bottles of wine since we were so impressed. Definantly a nice stop if you are on a road trip and need a break from the heat. read more

This place is a very nice place to stop for food and gifts but what really upset me about this place is that the employees at the wine and deli are very nice and professional so naturally I offered a tip but the employee told me she couldn't accept it because the company policy does not allow them to. We made a pit stop to get gas, and we ordered sandwiches at the deli. It was Sunday afternoon, and it was chaotic. There's no line, and no way to gauge how long it would take to get our sandwiches. We filled out the order slips and dropped them off. It took 45+ mins for the sandwiches. The sandwiches were average. I asked the deli employee where we can get water. This shop has a lot more than wine in it, as I found out. We walked in for a bottle of pomegranate wine, and walked out with that, a jar of pomegranate jelly, and a bar of handmade soap (smells heavenly). The jar was about $4 or $5 for 10 oz and the soap was about $8. Had to quickly leave before I found more things to buy. I discovered the Deli by accident when the "Casa de Restaurant" had a long line and waiting list. Walk just a bit further and this lovely Deli offer made to order salads, wraps and sandwiches. They are delicious and I love to eat outside where I can have my dog with me. While waiting for my salad, which was not long by the way, I browsed the amazing holiday decorations. This is a great place to stop between San Francisco and Los Angeles on the drive, right in Gilroy, near Hollister. It's maybe 90 mins out from SF, on the cusp of the South Bay part of the Bay Area, so closer to SF than LA. Casa de Wine is part of the whole Casa de Fruita area, in the back where there's also a separate building for the bakery and restaurant, I think. This Casa de Wine features wine tasting as well as a really nice deli that does sandwiches, wraps and burritos. Their sandwiches are pretty awesome, easy to order with a checklist to mark what you want on it, with all of the options, making the process simple and easy as well as somewhat flawless as it's self explanatory. Today we stopped at Casa de Wine and Deli and had one of their sandwiches and did some wine tasting mostly the gourmet ones for me. Oh man the raspberry wine is AMAZING!! So disappointed. I stopped here with my father for a sandwich right before Memorial Day Weekend. They were understaffed and it took over 20 mins for the single employee to make a roast beef sandwich, once I figured out how to even place my order. I know this isn't the store's issue, but I was also harassed by 2 other customers for wearing a face mask. I guess they couldn't grasp the concept of wearing a mask when half the store employees had called in sick that day... DO NOT GO HERE. I got a sandwich and 15 MINUTES LATER I received it. I went to sit down and went I took a bite, NO MEAT. I went back and told them that they forgot the meat. 5 minutes later I finally received the sandwich but the wrap was reversed so my hands got dirty (no biggie) and then after I got my sandwich, there avocado spread inside my San which was all over the bread. What a random place! My friend and I got a bit turned around on the drive home from Gilroy and ended up in the middle of nowhere. All of the sudden we came across this compound like place, Casa de Fruta, with Casa de Everythings (Casa de Train, Casa de Wine, Casa de Sweets, etc...) and we decided we must check this out. Kicked off our visit at Casa de Bathroom, which was very clean. Yay! Then we headed to the Casa de Wine. Super cute store, but pretty pricey. Wine tasting is free and you get three tastes. Most of their wines are fruit based. Blueberry was surprisingly good, as was Honey wine. There is also a deli housed inside this building that smelled really yummy. From there we moved onto Casa de Sweets which was disgustingly hot inside, I don't know how the candy wasn't melting. And then onto Casa de Grocery (or something) where there was another wine tasting station, so we went ahead and had more wine :) I would never drive out of my way to come here again, but if I am ever lost in the middle of San Benito County again, this would be a good place to stop for a bit. read more

I'm a bit surprised and thrown off by this place because it was completely unexpected. Whenever you think of free wine tasting, especially at a place that also sells sandwiches, has a restaurant, contains candy bars and fruit and sells just about everything else you can think of, it's really an after thought. Having wine here is purely the novelty of someone who can't think of anything better to increase their profits by from the troves of tourists paying high end prices for mediocre goods. Of course, for the most part, Casa is a welcome stop for many in the long drive of nothingness in-between so it's always good to have something to pick up. The wine tasting here is free up until 3 or 4 wines, I forget ... and the pours are literally a few drops since I guess they cater to a lot of freebie seekers and folks who just don't really care much and want to have some fun. However, their wines were actually quite goo especially considering they're mostly under $10 a piece. If I didn't already have a trunk full of wine to bring back i definitely would have picked some up. Totally recommended, it will kick your taste buds! read more

I pondered what to do when i saw separate forms for pizzas and burritos. I got a mini-pizza with olives and bell peppers. It took about 10 minutes to make, and when it was done, they apologized for the wait since they were having trouble with their toaster oven. Paid up at the front counter (where you also pick up a fountain drink and chips when you get a combo) and ate outside at nice tables in the sun. They loaded up my pizza with lots of olives - there were enough olives on this thing to cover a extra-large pizza. Bell peppers were at a more modest level. Crust was a little softer and chewier than perhaps expected - may be the toaster oven issue.
