Panini

I really wanted to like this place, but the food quality just isn't there. The lettuce in my Chicken Caesar salad was brown and clearly past its prime -- I was shocked they'd even serve it like that. Portion sizes are inconsistent every time I order, and the panini I got was a complete disaster. By the time I got home, it was soggy, falling apart, and honestly disgusting. When I opened it up and saw the nastiness inside, I drove it right back and asked for a refund. To their credit, they were very accommodating and gave me my money back without any hassle. Another major concern -- the food was being prepared completely uncovered, and while one person was making our meal, another was sweeping right behind the counter. All that dust and debris had a clear path to the uncovered food, which is just not acceptable. The staff was super friendly and polite, and I really appreciated their customer service. But unfortunately, good service doesn't make up for bad food and questionable hygiene. Very disappointing experience overall.

Southwest grain bowl

I felt incredibly silly immediately after ordering -- got a southwest grain bowl. If I'd known that I wanted a southwest grain bowl before walking in, I would've just gone 2 doors down to Chipotle. Doh. Anyways...it was pretty bleh. Tasted like something out of the supermarket cold case. And they don't have hot sauce. Wish I'd just gone to Chipotle.

This place has been anxiously anticipated in the town for a long time. Finally, a healthier option to combat the 2 McDonalds and 2 Taco Bell restaurants that reign locally. This seemed to be the turn of leaf that the community needed. In spite of the overwhelming anticipation leading up to its opening however, I must admit I was significantly disappointed at the first impression. Although fairly busy, packed with eager new employees and a plethora of heathy menu options... I felt a bit cheated by what I paid for / received. As shown in my picture, the salad was gorgeously sad if that makes sense. Toppings where perfect, the dressing was amazing, but the amount of ACTUAL salad I received was pretty sparse. Such a bummer. However, all the ingredients mixed together created a flavorful collective of crisp, salty, sweet deliciousness. It was fresh, flavorful and delicately adorned with pristinely measured toppings sure to keep your tastebuds happy. The West Coast Turkey sandwich was delicious but not what I expected. Nothing more than a glorified ice box sandwich--not toasted, no melted cheese or even warmed chunks of roasted turkey. While the ingredients were notably fresh, crisp and properly proportioned... this sandwich simply didn't pack as powerful of a punch as I would have hoped. The staff seemed helpful and friendly, the store is still fresh and clean and the learning curve has officially begun! Flavor: 5 Stars, Service: 4 stars, portion: 2.5 stars, price: 2 stars. Even though my first experience was less than favorable, I won't give up on it yet. Salad Works still has potential and on the flavor and freshness alone, worth the second shot. Cheers to the hope of a better experience next time!

Kinda surprised today... I ordered a half salad and half avocado blt sandwich and look at the sandwich. Kinda disappointed. Pieces of avocado and sprinkles of bacon? For $20 I just expected more. The salad said romaine lettuce and iceberg. I only see iceberg and a piece of romaine? Hmmm... I usually just order a salad is which is always good. But leaving a review to let owner aware.

The sweets are incredible--they hit that rare balance of being flavorful and satisfying without being "too sweet." You can tell there is real craftsmanship in the baking. The atmosphere here perfectly encapsulates the Hollister spirit. It has that beautiful country, organic, farm-to-table feel that makes you want to stay all day. A huge shoutout to David, who did an amazing job basically building everything himself; the attention to detail in the space is stunning. The staff is top-tier as well. Our bartender outside was incredibly sweet and made us feel right at home. The only downside? I wish they were open more days! This place is a local treasure. Now it's kinda out in the middle of nowhere. It seems as though if you're not a local. And then you turn into this long driveway and you see how super cute it is. It's like an old mini western town. The initial views make you wanting more. Walk up the ramp into their bakery. They had all sorts of yummie looking #pastries to drool over. They have cookies, ice cream and a few hot and cold meals. We shared a pumpkin croissant which was topped with toasted almonds. I suggest getting it warmed up. Their selections change with the seasons so be sure to check their website on their offerings. We sat outside to admire the views. Wow. I'm so thankful to have come across this place. Perfect for sitting in silence and relaxing or to enjoy the company of good vibes. There's tons of seating and so much to look at. Outside they've also got beer on tap. My pictures don't do it justice, but I assure you, you will not be disappointed. And as you drive off, be sure to drive slow and check out all of the cute decor and signs they have along the way.

By this point in the trip, we were fully committed to our "tapas style everything" philosophy. Why order one entrée each when you can create a tiny feast and slowly steal bites off each other's plates with zero shame? Over the two evenings, we shared the Berry Burrata Salad, Beet & Spinach Salad, cauliflower, Seared Ahi Tuna, Dungeness crab cakes, Angel Hair Pasta with shrimp, and lava cake. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the kind of texture that makes Italians nod approvingly from a distance. The crab cakes were flavorful and satisfying, and the beet salad thankfully avoided the tragic fate of being "healthy but boring." The lava cake was gloriously decadent and absolutely understood its assignment. The ahi tuna was good, though I wished for a bit more flavor to stand up to the wasabi situation happening on the plate. The Berry Burrata Salad was the only dish that felt a little sleepy. The berries seemed more decorative than committed. In a region overflowing with gorgeous local strawberries, I wanted the salad to lean harder into its fruity potential. Cocktail-wise, the pomegranate margarita was refreshing, balanced, and dangerously easy to keep sipping. Service was a mixed bag between the two nights. The first evening, our server gave off strong "this table again?" energy, and we had to remind her about bread. Meanwhile, one of the chefs stopped by to warmly thank us for dining there, which completely shifted the tone and genuinely stood out. Night two was a different experience altogether. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel much more relaxed and welcoming. The space itself is lovely, warm, comfortable, with that slightly old-school elegance that makes you want to linger over another drink and pretend you are not in your hiking clothesq
