This place really surprised me. After living in China for 5 years there are certain goods that I…read moremiss. Good noodles is one of them. I had high hopes since the menu includes intestines and other items that clearly are not meant for white customers. I am very happy to have a very tasty Chinese restaurant close to me. Dry pork noodles: These were the best IMO. Nice and spicy, with great flavors all around. I suggest getting the pork chop (add on) since there is not a lot of meat that comes with the dish normally. Beef noodle soup: Tasted very authentic and had a great broth. Thin slices of beef reminded me of real Chinese noodle soups. Spicy dry chicken noodles; Very similar to the pork noodles. What I really enjoy is that these are actually spicy dishes! I never had to add chili sauce!! Pork and chive dumplings: These were solid. The sesame dipping sauce is fine, but a mixture of Chinese vinegar (you rarely find this!) and chili sauce are good compliments. Cucumbers: These were more garlic-y then what I had in China, but are still good. Adding a little Chinese vinegar to them really takes them up a notch.

The staff was absolutely amazing warm, friendly, and offering top-tier hospitality that made me feel like I was a welcomed friend coming over for dinner. And the food... oh my goodness. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. My favorites were the wings and the shrimp shumai. The noodles had an excellent texture, and the broth was rich, robust, and incredibly comforting. I'll definitely be coming back, and I'll be recommending this place to anyone who asks for a great spot to eat.

I called and placed a order for delivery at 7:45pm and a female answered, told me it should be about 70 minutes (a bit over an hour) I said that was fine and received a tracking text for my delivery driver, ETA and time frame. Almost two and a half hours go by, so I call to check the status of my order. A man picks up and tells me "oh,yeah, I don't know let me transfer you over the manager" it was the same woman who originally took my order, she must have new what I was calling for because she repeated my address without me reminding her and said "oh sorry I don't know where the driver is at." So I then asked her "should I cancel and look somewhere else to pay if you don't know where staff is,especially since our neighborhood shops close early?" And she tells me " no,no we didn't forget about you our driver is just slow getting to you" (im only 12-14mins away by car) so I say ok,I'll wait. Then i received a new order text to my phone of my order being cancelled and restarting at a new time...at this point it's very unprofessional to me as a guest as well as their business. All they had to do was be transparent and honest that they couldn't take to go orders if they're short staff or bad at communicating with driving staff. I order from them alot and this was the worst they've ever been. Usually the woman has a bad tone on the phone and i ignore it but combined with that and the lack of hospitality and care for a paying costumer, flabbergasted. so I ordered from Johnny's carry out not to far from them and it was promt and organized.

My first dim sum experience and Han Palace did not disappoint!…read more I visited Han Palace in Barracks Row for the first time and tried their all-you-can-eat dim sum. They offer Option A for $38 and Option B for $48 with Option B including additional dishes like General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken, and more. We chose Option B and ordered a little bit of everything! Our table was filled with fried and steamed dumplings, bao buns, General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken, vegetable fried rice, and several soups. The beef brisket soup was one of my favorites and the fish dish we tried was also really good. Everything came with flavorful sauces that made each dish even better. The cocktails were also a highlight. I had a refreshing lychee cocktail (I unfortunately don't remember the name) and it had the perfect balance, not watered down and actually had a good kick! They also offer a bottomless all-you-can-drink option for $18, which is a great add-on if you plan to stay and enjoy the experience. The service was great, the team came back around often to check on you and provide refills and take your next round of orders for the all-you-can-eat. The food came out fast as well, it was as if they were just continuously cooking it. Overall, I really enjoyed trying so many different dishes, especially as someone new to dim sum. It's a fun option for groups because there's so much variety to share. Would absolutely go back! I've already recommended Han Palace to friends and will definitely be back the next time I'm in D.C.!
